Lisa
Amazing stop. Great location. Loved every minute. The only complaint was that we had an 11am Checkout but the front desk started calling our room several times at 10 and 10:30 asking about us leaving. Very strange.
Steven
Amazing location, worth every penny, a bargain honestly. The view, the gardens, the dinner was incredible. Such lovely staff, would love to stay again no question!
Michael
Big wedding happening while we were there. They took most of the parking,so I parked at a shopping area. No problem, but perhaps some of the wedding people could have parked elsewhere. The band left their van in front of a wonderful viewing window,so that was less than ideal. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Scott
Absolutely amazing place that I have stayed at, on and off, for several decades. The grounds and gardens are in the best shape I have ever seen!
Lianna
Beautiful castle and properties - the garden is absolutely gorgeous. Loved the \"haunted castle theme\" - the haunted room is very eerie.
David
Pretty venue but a little expensive for what it is, that said we enjoyed our stay. Food is excellent and they know how to make a proper Irish coffee
Michele
Beautiful place with history and a lovely garden and view of the Ocean. Great breakfast.
Hilda
Lovely hotel by the sea. Staff very friendly and helpful
Martin
Interesting place to stay. Front desk was helpful. Was looking forward to dinner but was disappointed. Drinks took over 1/2 hour to receive and were never once asked again if we wanted any more drinks. An hour and a half before we received our food. After finishing food we were left waiting half an hour. Would have ordered dessert and more drinks if offered the chance. 2 hour ordeal after a long travel day was very frustrating. Their loss as we opted to eat elsewhere the rest of our stay.
Janice
Food altogether excellence. Beautiful setting. Will be nack

Nice stay
Richard
Very welcoming and friendly staff; wonderful historic property with great seaside location.
Michele
We had a wonderful stay at Ballygally Castle. The rooms are small but the beds were among the most comfortable we had on our vacation. I had no idea about the ghost room prior to coming but it certainly made for an interesting story!
Rich
Beautiful location. Right on the water. Garden Restaurant is great. Awesome stories about location. And surrounding property is worth a walk around.

Everything was wonderful!
Maura
Regular visitors with no complaints except this time breakfast wasn’t quite up to the normal standard. Eggs were sitting too long and were hard, had to wait for some items to be replenished but still a great hotel and will definitely be back.
Jacqueline
The property was lovely as was the beach behind the car park area. Convenient location for seeing Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede, and not far from Belfast.
Daniel
The room was clean and modern and also with a walk in shower bathroom. The staff at reception were most welcoming, the bar staff were a bit slow but they were dealing with foreign guests who were unfamiliar with the local currency. Parking was across a main road from the hotel but it is not too busy for crossing to the hotel. The car park can fill up at times so your not always guaranteed a space. Overall, I would rate the hotel as excellent for business or pleasure.
Anthony
Fantastic property to stay at. The superior double room was roomy with a spacious bathroom and lovely view of the ocean. Our evening meal in their dining room was beautiful.
Julian
Lovely hotel. Very grand. However, I felt as though the lady checking us in at the desk couldn’t care less. There was no welcome, and no greeting. She seemed annoyed by the whole thing.
The room was lovely but stifling. The radiator controls were meaningless. Opening the window resulted in a strong odor of frying grease filling the room as the window opened out to the kitchen roof and exhaust vents.

This is the 3rd to stay at Ballygally and it just gets better everytime! They have some wonderful staff there. They really make me keep coming back with all their kindness.
Richard
we stayed here a good number of years ago and really enjoyed our stay and as it was our 25th wedding anniversary we just wanted a quiet get away. The Staff are Great and the Hotel its self was peaceful. However the Quality of the food is honestly mediocre at best. As it was our wedding anniversary my wife didn't want me making a fuss. The Batter of the fish was undercooked and full of oil making it inedible. The Pepper chick had very little pepper, the Supreme was dry and obviously pre cooked and reheated, the roast potatoes were also reheated, leaving them dry and leather like. The young lady who served us did notice my wife had ate very little and did reimburse us for our soft drinks. As a result of the food we decided not to have desert or breakfast. Due to the Restaurant experience we will not return again to Ballygally Castle.
Elizabeth
The hotel was amazing, the ghosts room was fun if not a tight squeeze.
Food and drink are amazing, several local products.
Parking is opposite the hotel and from what I can see was safe

Beautiful property and hotel. Reception staff not helpful when issued a wrong room.

Steps away from a fabulous beach and beachfront walk. Beautiful garden and amazing premises. Highly recommend.
Koya
Everything was perfect. The view, the staff, the garden, all exceptional! The room was large and clean. Breathtaking view of the land to the west from our room windows. Everything we needed was right in the room. The gal at the front desk was so helpful when we asked about driving to Belfast. She gave us much needed reassurance that we could do it and we did.
Would definitely stay here again. Hopefully soon!!!

Lovely property but a little noisy and room was very hot.
Jaron
Great rooms and property. Lots of history and the ghost room is cool!

Very comfortable stay, one of the nicest places I have stayed in N. Ireland.
Lynette K
Great place to stay before catching the ferry to Scotland. Room was clean and cozy with a great view. Loved all the history about the castle.
Richard
Nice location on the water. Quiet, laid back with a feel of history
Cathy
The location by the water is amazing. The room was spacious, and really nice. Recently upgraded. The restaurant was great good was delicious and bar was great too.

Perfect night
We stayed for a wedding and cannot fault anything. The staff were all excellent especially Grace who went above and beyond for us.
Kirsten
Lovely hotel
Room was lovely and spacious, slept great, bed was really comfy. Room was a bit warm even with the radiators turned off and window open. Friendly staff.
Bob
This was such a lovely place to stay. The staff were welcoming and friendly. When our wedding photo shoot had to be relocated due to the weather the hotel accommodated us on the property and helped make our time special. This location has so many beautiful hidden gems. Make sure you tour the whole gardens around the property. This was a highlight of our two weeks in Ireland.
Jay
Beautiful property on the ocean, great view. Nice dining. Nice dinner and breakfast. Great history. Only issue was that they didn’t reflect the Expedia reservation, took a bit of time to resolve. This was the only property on Ireland that didn’t have our Expedia reservation. Don’t let that discourage booking this property, but do reconfirm a few days before arrival.
Christy
Lovely stay. Hotel is well kept and clean. Rooms were large and beds comfortable. Staff was delightful.
Renee
Room was very small and bed was uncomfortable.
Mike
Lift was out so stairs were only option. Staff assisted with bags so not so bad. Otherwise property and staff were wonderful!
pat
This hotel was expensive but lovely. The food was excellent. The staff very helpful. The only thing that wasn’t good was the lift didn’t function. The gardens were exquisite and this is a wedding venue.
Dennis
The lift was broken but the staff was great about taking the luggage up to the third floor.
What I really did not like was that it advertised as having AC, however upon check in we were informed that in fact they did not have AC or fans and we spend an expensive, hot stuffy uncomfortable night

Photos don’t do hotel justice. Lovely.
Service, and hotel is just lovely. Directly across from water. Perfect lounge area to enjoy the views and grab a small bite. Breakfast buffet was mediocre. It came with the basics but not as detailed as other hotels we stayed. Service was wonderful and staff warm and pleasant. Room was extremely comfortable.
Samuel
Not too much to say that's enlightening. Run of the mill hotel. Muggy and damp feeling with terrible draft odors and sounds with other floor plumbing running next to the bed in a makeshift cabinet/hiding wall. Traffic was loud and even with the small windows not much air flow to be had. Travel cot provided did not have a mattress so it didn't get used. Kind sized bed was two hard mattresses pushed against each other.
Erwin
Get AC please! Room hot even with fan

Wonderful hotel in Great location
Fantastic reception staff with quick and efficient check in .beautiful room with good shower. Free parking right in front of the hotel . All staff very friendly and professional. Thought the restaurant food and bar prices were wat to expensive tbh.

Ballygally is a quiet, beachside village. It's a little lacking in anything other than the hotel so coffee/snacks at the hotel would have been good.
Peter

We stayed 3 nights and loved the view from our room. The hotel is beautiful however the service received from the reception staff was minimal. On three occasions I needed to speak to the reception staff but they were nowhere to be found. I had to go to another area of the hotel to get some help. That was disappointing but the rest of the staff were very diligent.
Daniel
Fabulous
Beautiful and comfortable hotel and a perfect base for visiting the Antrim Coast. The staff (particularly Catherine) were fantastic. We had an issue with the radiator in our room and we were given an upgrade to compensate, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended 😊
Christopher
Great property and extremely clean. Loved the rooms. Location is beautiful on the coast
Kristy
This was my second stay here and I will stay again! Staff is fantastic here from the Front Desk to all the places you can eat here. Top Notch!
Jake
Easy check-in. Very clean and updated rooms. Restaurant on premises was very good. Very cozy. Great stay.
Anne
Lovey atmosphere, very friendly and efficient. Bed was soo comfortable and the linen was superb quality. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the meal was fabulous. Couldn’t fault anything x
Keira
Great stay, had everything we needed!
It was our first time going away with our new addition to our family, our little newborn baby boy, to celebrate my birthday, and the hotel were fantastic, really accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed to make it comfortable and so easy to be away from home!
Victoria
Fun haunted tower room!
We loved our room and its super comfortable beds. It’s was a lot of fun to go up the tower and see the haunted room. Dinner was good, but breakfast was not worth the £18 a person.
Jennifer
The hotel is directly across the street from the ocean, we had a lovely view from our room. With the window open we could also hear the waves crashing onto the shore. Absolutely lovely, until random cars come whizzing by. Can't avoid the traffic! Other than the ocean view, the room is basic and average although i did find the bed very comfortable. I was most disappointed with the onsite restaurant - such a disappointing and generic menu! Such a shame. The staff were very friendly and helpful, check-in and out were great.

Great little hotel right across the road from the beach.

Spacious rooms. Very comfortable stay along with helpful staff always ready to assist you.

My favorite stay in all of Ireland/northen ireland!
Samantha Louise
Amazing location, amazing staff
Leong
It was good
Stephen
The staff was amazing, very courteous and on top of things. The room had an amazing view. Thats where it ends. The beds were super dated and so were the rooms. The bedding was non existent. Also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, possibly the 2nd worse meal I had the entire time I was traveling thru ireland. The menu was lacking and the Irish roast was disgusting, couldn't make it thru more than 2 bites. But the staff was exceptional and the location beautiful.
brenda
This was a charming place. Pretty popular with the locals as well for the food and drinks. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly but seemed to be a little overwhelmed because of guest, locals and a wedding going on. We stayed in 8 properties on our holiday. I would definitely recommend this property. The scenery is stunning, you have a view of the maidens as well as Scotland. The property itself was fun to explore, but what Castle isn't. One of my favorite things was the laundry service 😀 on a very long trip.
Kenneth
We enjoyed walking around the old castle and property. Beach across the street. Wonderful dinner on property.
Jane
Great Night at Ballygally Castle
Our stay was excellent - Staff were so friendly and helpful and our room was just Fab.
Joseph
The view from our room was amazing. The workers were polite and friendly. The elevator was broken for our stay and we had use the stairs. My wife is handicapped and this was difficult on her.
Peter
Lovely setting, very pleasant and welcoming staff. Great feel about the place and delicious food in the restaurant (great value for money)
Only gripe was we had been allocated a adapted room for wheelchair users (low bathroom sink and shower - no bath) which wasnt communicated to us when booking the sea view.
We would however definitely revisit.

Wonderful hotel, great location, friendly staff
What a lovely well appointed hotel this was. Will definitely recommend it and would return again. The room was very spacious with comfortable chairs for us to sit and enjoy the view of the stunning garden and out towards the sea. Good selection of teas and coffee etc. The bed was incredible, the most comfortable sleep we have had in a hotel in years. Staff in the dining room and lounge bar were friendly and helpful. The lounge menu was extensive enough to cater for a vegetarian and a \"fussy\" eater and we chose this over the more limited dining room menu. Breakfast was a feast and staff were happy to poach and boil eggs in addition to the generous hot buffet offerings. Lovely fresh fruit salad and continental selection available too.
Scott
Needs to adjust prices for room facilities
Nice hotel with a great setting. Staff were fantastic and are a credit to the hotel. My only gripe is with the rooms. Some have been refurbished and some haven’t yet they charge the same price. I requested a room with a walk-in shower. Some rooms have bathtubs that you need to step into with a sheet head. When I asked to switch rooms it was like night and day. I had a smart tv with all of the apps like Netflix, BBC iPlayer etc etc but the one without the walk-in shower had an older basic tv. They charge the same price but some rooms have better facilities so be careful. My cousin was staying with me but had a different room and didn’t have the smart tv etc yet the room was the same price

Delivered all we were looking for. Total chill out
Rachel
Very friendly staff and nice big room. Great view too!
Leah
Clean and room was nice but right off of road so our room was loud with traffic sounds. Not much to do around castle either.
Jonathan
Rooms were very clean and spacious. Restaurant and breakfast were very good too. Very nice staff. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and the beach is right across the street.
Paul
Amazing food and friendly staff

I will stay here again and again! This location is excellent to travel up to the Causeway and even Down to Belfast. Beautiful grounds to explore and lovely coastal views! Plenty of parking at the car park as well!
I would like to add that the staff here are exceptional! That's from the Reception desk to the Bar to the Garden Restaurant. Check in was a breeze, the beds were cozy and everything was very nice. I really enjoyed my stay here!
