The room was clean and modern and also with a walk in shower bathroom. The staff at reception were most welcoming, the bar staff were a bit slow but they were dealing with foreign guests who were unfamiliar with the local currency. Parking was across a main road from the hotel but it is not too busy for crossing to the hotel. The car park can fill up at times so your not always guaranteed a space. Overall, I would rate the hotel as excellent for business or pleasure.

Lovely hotel. Very grand. However, I felt as though the lady checking us in at the desk couldn’t care less. There was no welcome, and no greeting. She seemed annoyed by the whole thing.
The room was lovely but stifling. The radiator controls were meaningless. Opening the window resulted in a strong odor of frying grease filling the room as the window opened out to the kitchen roof and exhaust vents.

we stayed here a good number of years ago and really enjoyed our stay and as it was our 25th wedding anniversary we just wanted a quiet get away. The Staff are Great and the Hotel its self was peaceful. However the Quality of the food is honestly mediocre at best. As it was our wedding anniversary my wife didn't want me making a fuss. The Batter of the fish was undercooked and full of oil making it inedible. The Pepper chick had very little pepper, the Supreme was dry and obviously pre cooked and reheated, the roast potatoes were also reheated, leaving them dry and leather like. The young lady who served us did notice my wife had ate very little and did reimburse us for our soft drinks. As a result of the food we decided not to have desert or breakfast. Due to the Restaurant experience we will not return again to Ballygally Castle.

Everything was perfect. The view, the staff, the garden, all exceptional! The room was large and clean. Breathtaking view of the land to the west from our room windows. Everything we needed was right in the room. The gal at the front desk was so helpful when we asked about driving to Belfast. She gave us much needed reassurance that we could do it and we did.
Would definitely stay here again. Hopefully soon!!!

This was such a lovely place to stay. The staff were welcoming and friendly. When our wedding photo shoot had to be relocated due to the weather the hotel accommodated us on the property and helped make our time special. This location has so many beautiful hidden gems. Make sure you tour the whole gardens around the property. This was a highlight of our two weeks in Ireland.

This was the only property on Ireland that didn’t have our Expedia reservation. Don’t let that discourage booking this property, but do reconfirm a few days before arrival.

What I really did not like was that it advertised as having AC, however upon check in we were informed that in fact they did not have AC or fans and we spend an expensive, hot stuffy uncomfortable night

Service, and hotel is just lovely. Directly across from water. Perfect lounge area to enjoy the views and grab a small bite. Breakfast buffet was mediocre. It came with the basics but not as detailed as other hotels we stayed. Service was wonderful and staff warm and pleasant. Room was extremely comfortable.

Not too much to say that's enlightening. Run of the mill hotel. Muggy and damp feeling with terrible draft odors and sounds with other floor plumbing running next to the bed in a makeshift cabinet/hiding wall. Traffic was loud and even with the small windows not much air flow to be had. Travel cot provided did not have a mattress so it didn't get used. Kind sized bed was two hard mattresses pushed against each other.

We stayed 3 nights and loved the view from our room. The hotel is beautiful however the service received from the reception staff was minimal. On three occasions I needed to speak to the reception staff but they were nowhere to be found. I had to go to another area of the hotel to get some help. That was disappointing but the rest of the staff were very diligent.

The hotel is directly across the street from the ocean, we had a lovely view from our room. With the window open we could also hear the waves crashing onto the shore. Absolutely lovely, until random cars come whizzing by. Can't avoid the traffic! Other than the ocean view, the room is basic and average although i did find the bed very comfortable. I was most disappointed with the onsite restaurant - such a disappointing and generic menu! Such a shame. The staff were very friendly and helpful, check-in and out were great.

The staff was amazing, very courteous and on top of things. The room had an amazing view. Thats where it ends. The beds were super dated and so were the rooms. The bedding was non existent. Also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel, possibly the 2nd worse meal I had the entire time I was traveling thru ireland. The menu was lacking and the Irish roast was disgusting, couldn't make it thru more than 2 bites. But the staff was exceptional and the location beautiful.

This was a charming place. Pretty popular with the locals as well for the food and drinks. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly but seemed to be a little overwhelmed because of guest, locals and a wedding going on. We stayed in 8 properties on our holiday. I would definitely recommend this property. The scenery is stunning, you have a view of the maidens as well as Scotland. The property itself was fun to explore, but what Castle isn't. One of my favorite things was the laundry service 😀 on a very long trip.

Only gripe was we had been allocated a adapted room for wheelchair users (low bathroom sink and shower - no bath) which wasnt communicated to us when booking the sea view.
We would however definitely revisit.

What a lovely well appointed hotel this was. Will definitely recommend it and would return again. The room was very spacious with comfortable chairs for us to sit and enjoy the view of the stunning garden and out towards the sea. Good selection of teas and coffee etc. The bed was incredible, the most comfortable sleep we have had in a hotel in years. Staff in the dining room and lounge bar were friendly and helpful. The lounge menu was extensive enough to cater for a vegetarian and a \"fussy\" eater and we chose this over the more limited dining room menu. Breakfast was a feast and staff were happy to poach and boil eggs in addition to the generous hot buffet offerings. Lovely fresh fruit salad and continental selection available too.

Nice hotel with a great setting. Staff were fantastic and are a credit to the hotel. My only gripe is with the rooms. Some have been refurbished and some haven’t yet they charge the same price. I requested a room with a walk-in shower. Some rooms have bathtubs that you need to step into with a sheet head. When I asked to switch rooms it was like night and day. I had a smart tv with all of the apps like Netflix, BBC iPlayer etc etc but the one without the walk-in shower had an older basic tv. They charge the same price but some rooms have better facilities so be careful. My cousin was staying with me but had a different room and didn’t have the smart tv etc yet the room was the same price

I will stay here again and again! This location is excellent to travel up to the Causeway and even Down to Belfast. Beautiful grounds to explore and lovely coastal views! Plenty of parking at the car park as well!
I would like to add that the staff here are exceptional! That's from the Reception desk to the Bar to the Garden Restaurant. Check in was a breeze, the beds were cozy and everything was very nice. I really enjoyed my stay here!

The reception was very grand and the breakfast room. The staff were friendly on reception and efficient at breakfast.
Overnight stay no breakfast was £200 but I found the room decor non- memorable. Only 4 hangers for two people. One shower gel, one shampoo and no conditioner. Felt like a budget hotel in the room.
Breakfast finished at 10.30 and we went in at 10.00. there was minimal food left, nor enough for us to each have one of everything in hot section, no butter. Continental section had virtually nothing left.
