This was place was a huge disappointment. First family room. (3 beds) was dirty, toilet had been used and not flushed…tried to flush it away and no water. Second room was adequate for one night if you are not at all bothered by cleanliness. Missing any toilet paper which the bar was able to fix…the power source was not able to handle a coal
Machine and iPhone plugged in and blew a fuse.
See photos…there was mold in the shower, broken and stained ceiling tiles throughout the room. Had it not been as late as it was we would have tried to find another location. Shower pressure was barely adequate. On the positive side breakfast was included and definitely better than the dinner.

Great Spot

Very friendly staff, very welcoming. Service was excellent with a brilliant breakfast.

Property is well maintained and has a eco feel to it will the roof covered in solar panels.

Improvement would be to install EV chargers to allow overnight charging making the onward journey easier for those of us arriving in EV’s (modern chargers record consumption and so use could be charged as an addition but on a not for profit/at cost rate)

We booked this room and paid for it yesterday afternoon. We rang to confirm and had said we wouldnt be doing a check in because we were at an event in the city center and we would be arriving late. We were told this was no problem.

We had to pay 35£ for a taxi to take us out to the hotel. When we arrived the doors were locked. No one was there. We couldnt get inside. We rang both numbers listed, one of which was printed on the door as a notice to ring if the door was locked.

We were left having to pay another 35£ to get back to the city centre where our car was and had to sleep in the freezing cold for the night.
This is beyond ridiculous. And i want a full refund sent back to me asap or i will take this further.

Car park unlit and dangerous.

No welcome booklet and instructions for breakfast were written on scrap paper and stuck to the door.

Constant beeping noise.

Comfortable and satisfactorily clean.

My major complaint: I was booked with my wife and two children on a bed and breakfast basis. We had to forego breakfast completely as we were told that breakfast starts at 9:00 am! We had a ferry to catch in Belfast that morning so we could not stay for breakfast.

I have stayed at very many hotels and B&B places all over the world. I have never been to a place where breakfast service starts so late in the morning.

One-night stopover on our way to Larne for the ferry. Very comfortable, clean and spacious room, comfy beds and a very nice breakfast.
We have impaired mobility so booked a disabled access room. The bathroom was a wet room and was clean and tidy, but after showering the floor was extremely slippery which was quite scary for someone such as myself who has poor balance.

No sleep

Kept up all night by a fighting couple in the parking lot. The parking lot sits right next to all the hotel room windows, so when patrons of the bar restaurant leave, it is right at your window. Spoke with owner in the morning, not realizing who he was, and he acknowledged that he knew who it probably was, which tells me this happens often. Sad.

Gem in the heart of Ballyclare

Spacious and well-appointed rooms. The reataurant is extremely good and the breakfast should not be missed and will keep you going all day. The pub is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. Perfect location for exploring County Antrim.

OK for a one night stay...

Bedroom was dated with aged furniture, decor could do with an upgrade. Although still clean. I stayed on the ground floor facing the car park. At night people would smoke near the car park door and make noise.

The hotel owners were very friendly, the restaurant was fabulous. Unfortunately cleaning was poor which let them down, bathroom not even wiped over during the 3 day stay, dirty bathroom glasses, sweets from previous guests not hoovered up. This was a shame as the hotel is very well located for sightseeing.

Brilliant guest inn. Only 30 mins from Belfast

This guest in is brilliant. Irish hospitality is renowned but the family that run 5 Corners take it to another level. Nothing is too much trouble, whether it's in the restaurant (food is out of this world), at breakfast (thank you Granny lol) or looking for my misplaced laptop when I called (found in my room). Rooms are spacious and the beds comfy and my room had a wet room bathroom so I was overjoyed. Don't know if they all do but room 3 does.
I'm looking for excuses to go back and stay, I was made to feel welcome and at home and I honestly was sad to leave. For the price this is an amazing place.

A great touring/ overnight stay

We stayed here as part of a motorcycle touring holiday of Ireland with my son & a mate. This is a great value hotel with some very good food available. It was very quiet when we stayed but we liked that. The only down side is that there is very little nearby (a bit isolated) but all in all would stay again.

If you arrive with low expectations - you won't be disappointed.

On the positive side - the Guiness was very good ( and I'm from Dublin ).
The evening food was good and they have an early bird deal where you get two courses for the price of a main course. The staff are also really pleasant.
Unfortunately , my first impression of the place was not great.

The bar and reception area looks like a throwback to a bad working men's club from the 70's.
The rooms are spartan and have shoddy furnishings. The room I stayed in (5) has badly fitted carpets with lumps, tears and black marks. The light above the bathroom mirror didn't work and the bed was not made very well. The mattress was very hard and the pillow even harder. There are brown water stains in the ceiling panels and a hole in the bathroom door.
The worst thing I felt though was the quilt cover was threadbare and you could feel the wear from previous guests.
Why not have a sheet underneath the quilt and replace it frequently? It felt like getting into an unmade bed.
I think presentation is important when you are in the hospitality industry.
Breakfast is not included in the rate but is not too expensive - less than a tenner so reasonable value. Don't expect a choice of menu options though.
I suppose I got what I paid for but I don't think it'll be on my list for a return visit.

'Top Notch on all accounts'

We recently used this hotel for digs during a project carried out in this area. The team found the hotel to be suitable in every way and were very impressed. They had no problems at all during their stay and happily extended their stay to remain here for the next job even though it was further away than other hotels. Would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

I booked at this guest inn because there was a large event in Belfast and everything was full or overpriced. I'm glad I did. The inn has a small pub and restaurant with excellent dinner selections. The Irish breakfast in the morning is delicious and made to order. The rooms were comfy and felt more like a bedroom in a house than a hotel room. The staff are friendly and helpful and made the stay enjoyable. I would recommend having a car if you stay here because the nearest bus station is a few miles down the road in town. The perfect place to stay if you are headed up to the north coast and want something quiet and comfortable away front the big city.

Staff very friendly. Unfortunately that is the only compliment to give. Bedrooms very very very basic. Broken blinds, broken lights, insufficient towels, broken table, no hair dryer etc..... Food not great and very greasy. No ambience in the bar area. Seats uncomfortable and no music. Public toilets---- don't ask!!! Sorry folks I won't be back

Quick stop just outside Belfast

My parents and I ended up here because Belfast was full with people in to see the firefighters and police games. Our goal was to have a quick stop before heading to Titanic Belfast and then to take the ferry to Scotland. This hotel was great because the price for a triple room was reasonable, and the location for our purposes was fantastic. Very clean and very friendly staff. The only con was that the wifi didn't work in the room, only in the hallway.

Friendly family run hotel. Food in restaurant is fantastic and great choice even for gluten free diner. Family room spacious, clean and welcoming. All requests were dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner. We were going to a wedding and as room wasn't needed owners allowed us to have a late check out- very much appreciated.
