Receptionists are good and courteous. The location is convenient, being on the main road. Malls and restaurants are within a walking distance.

In room amenities and utilities can be upgraded. Shower head spits water everywhere that the whole bathroom becomes wet. The TV and remote are very slow and not working. The channels are mostly in other languages, prefer more English channels. Also, no channels for kids.

The room on the 21st floor with very nice vieuw from 2 sides. Room and bathroom are spacious. The hotel is near public transportation. Pelican mall with supermarket is walking distance. The are was safe to walk. Only down point was the food of the restaurant and the breakfast. Not so much choices.

10/10 hotel stay made super comfortable by the lovely staff at doubletree. The area is a bit further out but everything in Istanbul is quite a distance from each other so it was nice to stay outside of the congested areas. Our room was upgraded on arrival and we had beautiful views over Istanbul. Lovely facilities. Highly recommend.

The area was good ....the hotel is nice but housekeeping was not cleaning at all...they only do the beds with same sheets...the bathroom the same only changing towels and adding shampoo with no whipping or cleaning....other than that ..the hotel is nice to stay in with a sea view from the back of it

The hotel is good, staff is friendly and accommodations are good also. Fitness center is above the average!
Negative point is that the room was smelling bad (as cigarette), even it was a no smoking room. Breakfast was not so good also.

Everything was amazing apart from the breakfast.the first day when we went down and asked for a waffle,the kitchen staff was rude and refused to make it. The question was if they dint want to make it why did they have the big sign outside saying “ask for fried eggs,waffles and pancakes”
The second day there was hardly any pastries or croissants to eat.

I liked the reception staff and their courtesy and professionalism. Cookie on check-in was a nice touch and was delicious too. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I didn't like that there was a diagonal pillar across the window in our room and I didn't like that I could not plug my laptop into the tv using an HDMI cable; it seemed to be blocked which is quite pointless.

My family and I had an amazing time at The Double Tree By Hilton in Avcilar, Istanbul, Turkey. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Ersin Altundag (Reservation Manager) helped us with getting a connecting room, as our son has learning disabilities and we needed him to feel safe. He replied to every email I sent and was always helpful. The Head Bell Boy Manager was brilliant and helped us on many occasions, he made our trip easier by telling us of different restaurants and places we could visit. Our rooms were always clean and we stayed 20 nights in total, the views from our rooms were amazing. My son loved using the indoor swimming pool and the gym, it’s very safe and secure. We enjoyed having room service, even at 2am on the day we arrived, the food was very good the staff were always friendly and had a smile on their face and would help at every opportunity. Another Manager at the hotel was really helpful, Itqur Fengin (I apologise if I spelt the name wrong) he was always happy to help. It’s difficult for us as a family to go abroad especially with my sons disabilities, but the hotel was so nice that we enjoyed the holiday so much that we are already planning to go back this year 2019. Brilliant hotel, the location is great and we would definitely recommend to everyone.

The hotel was very good but the room wasn’t clean at all and I couldn’t use the swimming pool as there a cable light coming from dawn the pool to the top it’s scary to swim I have a picture as well so my stay wasn’t expecting like this problem wasn’t happy of my stay in this hotel.

I would have given them excellent remarks all the way had it not been for our initial check in. We were given a smoking room and we were not asked whether that’s what we had wanted. So we had to complain and were given a nonsmoking room. We were attending a wedding and that process delayed us although I was the groom’s brother.

I went to stay at the Hilton Double Tree to have cosmetic surgery nearby.
The staff were absolutely amazing and couldn’t be any more helpful.
I felt very at home and welcomed every time I returned.
Couldn’t fault it, the food was also very good.

Good location and of a high standard

The hotel instantly gave off a classy feel the moment we arrived. Staff were very welcoming and security was thorough yet friendly. I would definetely recommend this hotel for couples and families would definentely reccomend a cist to the spa for a massage, one of the best I have ever received.

We were there for business stay for 4 days. We had moments of disappointment although everything was fine regarding facility.

Water was out on the first morning and we couldnt shave and shower. This is not something such quality hotel would allow. When we informed our suffering and how it affected our business. Staff was indifferent to our complaint. When I asked for the manager, manager has sent a fruit plate to our rooms afterwards. I dont think such a disaster could be reimbursed with a fruit plate.

Other than that, the breakfast was really over priced. It was really a rip off that I was upset about.

great hotel

hotel is extremely clean with a very pleasant and helpful staff. We had a great view of the city from our room. The only downfall is that it is a little further from the airport than I expected and there is no shuttle on Sunday. It is a long way from the old town but easy transportation using public transit with only one transfer.

The place is clean and what you'd expect from a Double Tree Hilton Hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating to our variety of questions.
The breakfast is well and truly overpriced ($50 AUD) so we didn't try it, especially when there's close (walking distance) restaurants close by.
It's actually not that close to the airport (about 30-40 minutes) and it's difficult to get to (U-turn and then a slip lane). Otherwise, it appears to be new.
Tip - Don't use the elevators directly to your left most (when you walk out of the main/middle elevators) as it's for staff only and has no signs indicating same. Further, once you're in you can't go back on your floor... we had to walk out from behind the kitchen... with a very angry looking cook!

- Power in the kept turning off
- The first 2nights the bathroom was very hot, unlike the room
- The rooms had bad smells when the AC is not working.
-One of the days the rooms were not cleaned.
- Security refused taking-in kids' juice, especially there was non at the hotel shop, worse enough they permitted other guests (probably Turkish) to bring meals!!! The issue was unprofessionally handled... exchanging calls...waiting on the lobby to get approval to get the juice in... very bad and frustrating especial with people who hardly can speak English, if ever spoken
- Had to ask for Double Tree tradition cookies more than once before I got it.
- Breakfast and service was good.
- Airport shuttle does not run at night or early morning
- Most of the time we had to wait for the elevators
