Best word to describe this hotel is dilapidated. We know not to expect greatness from lower-cost hotels, and although the staff was friendly enough, this was the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. Aside from the beds, which were comfortable, everything inside and out was cruddy, dirty, rusted, stained, chipped, dated, worn out, and in some cases, not working. The shower knobs were wobbly and very hard to turn and the tub was extremely slippery. The view from our window was the neighbor's literal junk-heap property that ran almost the entire side of the hotel. This can't be how all Super 8's are or they wouldn't stay in business, but after this one, we will never stay at a Super 8 again. Honestly, there is nothing to be done with this hotel but level it and start over in a location without a junk-heap neighbor.

The room was small, which was fine. Many tv channels had poor digital signal, which made watching tv not really worth it. The breakfast was pretty minimal, so I wouldn't count on it for much. Overall, it was a fine stay, I just didn't like the cost. I'd only stay again for half the price I paid, based on what was provided.

The tv was non operable and could only get 7 channels.
The room was faily clean, but out of bathing soap and had to use shampoo.
The property is old and below average in condition.
The staff was helpful and were trying to repair the tv service.

I had 2 suites booked, upon arrival the hotel had only reserved one. The receptionist \"found\" an open standard room, when entering room it was already occupied. When going to the reception area to address this issue, two other parties with reserved rooms came upon the same issue of their rooms already being occupied. Cancelled the stay and now have to fight for a refund.

I think this hotel has been redecorated in the past year. We stayed last summer and found the AC was struggling to keep up with the heat but this room was clean, quiet and cool despite the80’F temperatures. I will stay again if I stay in Jamestown again.

Door latch was glitchy. Had to set temp at 81 degrees to stay warm. Asked for a light bulb to replace burned out bulb -- no response after an hour. Telephone was dead. No egg or meat protein or potatoes at breakfast. Desk clerk was poorly dressed and there was a baby's play pen behind the desk, and apparently \"friends' hanging out in the lobby. The cart to move luggage was the same type of cart to haul garbage. Paid a premium price for a very unwelcoming stay.

When booking Super8 by Wyndham with Expedia I opted for a small upgrade to accomodate the 3rd person with my buddy and I. It was advertized as a suite with a kitchenette. It was a very small room with no kitchenette.
Not even 1 chair in the room to sit on . The sofa hide-a-bed barely fit in the room when opened to a bed. The support springs under the dirty stained mattress were impossibly uncomfortable. We requested from the nice desk manager a role-away bed. She brought it to us promptly. The very small bathrooms tub surface was stained and in terrible condition. The irritatingly loud fan was on continually with the bathroom light. I paid approximately $182.00 Canadian funds for an at best a $75.00 room!

This property was adequate. The staff were generally quiet but were also respinsive when needs were pointed out. The breakfast was sadly limited, and the pancake machine had several issues that meant a long wait for any, or foregoing pancakes altogether. We opted for the latter. From what we overheard the staff telling other patrons, they used to have nicer options and greater variety, but prior travelers had not reined in their older kids and massive deliberate messes were common. (And the messes required very expensive cleaning or refurbishment in the food area, or equipment replacement.) So this is why we can't have nice things. 🙁

The receptionist was very courteous and helpful. However she needs to dress more modestly. Cleavage was ‘busting’ out. Some may like that sort of thing but it does not look professional. I have no issue with tattoos, piercings, etc, but that was inappropriate. I’m sure now every guy wants to book this place 🙄

It's a silly little thing but there is a nightlight built into the bathroom mirror that I thought was a nice little touch. I was on the ground floor and I could hear every footstep of the people above me. They also had and an extremely squeaky bed. In general the motel was great and I would certainly stay here again - but on the secobd floor.

Worst customer experience I have seen

We showed up right at check-in time at 3pm for a reservation for 2 rooms. We were told only one room was ready then asked to come back at 4:30 to get the 2nd room. We returned at 4:30 to be told we should go to dinner to allow for the 2nd room to be ready. We came back at 7pm to find the manager cooking in the lobby, a dog behind the front desk and FINALLY was given our second room with no explanation, no offer to make it right so best believe this was the WORST experience I have had in getting checked in or even service overall for the inconvenience of not having a room ready not only right at check in time but even at 4:30... when they asked us to return. Very disappointing!!

Old, needs deep clean and updating.

Upon arrival the staff was pleasant but talked amongst themselves for several minutes about personal stuff before checking in. The lobby was dated, run down and over all not welcoming. The entire hotel had a basement like smell and smelled like weed everywhere. The room was clean. The beds had 3 pillows on each and the pillows were really small. The bath tub had several cracks inside the tub in the corners and floor. The mirror was nice and had a decoy button that was pretty nice to use. The room only had a shampoo conditioner combo in one tiny bottle and 2 bar soaps, no lotion or other amenities were provided.

If the shower had been more than a drizzle it would have been a 10 easy. Everything else was perfect! Well nearly perfect. There were 2 mornings someone was warming up their truck for at least 30 minutes+ right outside my window. Eventually the fumes were filling up my room through the heater I believe. A little scary for a moment until I got it cleared out.

We booked a long with a sleeper sofa, the room did not have a sleeper sofa. When I called to ask the front desk they sent up a camp cot for us but no bedding. The bathroom had someone’s dirty clothing and a half used bar of soap already in it. Tried calling the front desk to tell them and went up there and no one was there. A little disappointed, won’t be staying again.

I will never stay at a Super 8 again-- room 123 had a creaking sound from the room above that shot through 30dB earplugs from approx 2:30am to 4:30am. Constantly. The loudest creaking I've ever heard in my life.

I am sleep-deprived now for a conference day, and unhappy to say the least, lol

Was advertised as serving breakfast. But only included dry cereal, no milk, pancakes, or yogart, No meats, eggs, muffins, toast, milk, and Cold coffee! This was an hour before they were to quit serving. And we were woke up at 8:00AM with a text message asking when we are going to checkout! 8:30 the dining area was empty of food. There was a lot of table space although.

This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever been in. The room was acceptable, but the hallways and other areas weren’t. The vending machine was broken. The coffee machine only had decaf. The offerings for breakfast were limited and not appealing. It took 6 tries to get key cards that would open our door. The side door was never locked. I don’t know if all Super 8 hotels are as bad as the one in Jamestown, North Dakota, but I won’t be staying in any others to test the theory.

Drove 750 miles, got to room at 6pm. The room above had someone pacing until 1am. Must have been a 300 pounder. BOOM BOOM. Maybe got 2 hours of sleep. Travel through the area frequently but will sleep in my vehicle before I stay there again. Also the breakfast was a total disaster. Toast and yogurt. Coffee machine broken. I spent about 60 nights a year in motels. This was the worst ever.

Front desk could not get the keys right. Every night we returned to the hotel our key did not work. Informed the desk we were staying three nights and kept setting our key cards to expire daily. Facility had patched, not painted holes, hot water took forever to get to the bathroom and parking lot has holes, gravel and hotel smells d and musty. Room was clean though and beds were comfortable

No one to clean our room.

We arrived late and the hotel was sold put. We were happy we had booked early, but when we arrived in our room the beds were unmade, there was garbage in the room. We had to get sheets and cleaning supplies from the front desk and make up our room. They did wave the dog fee for the inconvenience.
