Room seemed like it was falling apart, the bathroom was gross. Pretty sure there was blood on the wall and the toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. The pool are was disgusting, pieces of the ceiling were falling off. You could see the pipes and water was dripping from it.

Someone had vomited on a throw carpet and it was pulled out past the main lobby entrance probably 10 foot from the main door and just sitting there. Was very gross and disgusting to have to walk by this. Felt like it was like a flop house.

Our original room had blood on the mattress pad and the sheets were used. They had hair on them and visible use. They \"upgraded\" us to a king suite for the issues. The next room was worse. It smelled like cigarettes, the bathroom had mold on the wall, the walls have some white smears all over them in every room, the tub has visible mold in all the jets, I went to use the makeup wipes and when I opened them they were brown and rotten. the blow dryer was filthy, covered in hair and whatever else. The handle towel rack has been removed from the wall for some reason. We generally felt gross sleeping in here. Although the staff was friendly, the hotel rooms are gross and falling apart. Would not ever recommend staying here.

The staff is very friendly and very welcoming. Overall, it was nice and quiet. I barely heard anyone in the rooms around me. The was very confortable and I loved that we got both firm and soft pillows. I've never been to a hotel that did that. The manager does a free BBQ cookout on Tuesday evenings for all the guests too. I thought that was a really nice touch.I come to Janesville periodically and I will definitely keep this place in mind for the future.

Great family stay!

We came up for a weekend with our 2 grandkids (3 and 5 yrs old). Mainly we came to swim and use the hot tub. It was an absolute hit. The rooms were comfortable, the shower was super, the breakfast was better than I expected (great variety). The staff was just excellent. Well done- we will be back.

Room was comfortable. Staff was lovely. Reasonably priced. Room had fridge anf microwave. Big TV. (Did not watch so not sure about channels.) Good amont of sapace in room with a nice sized desk. Very good breakfast options. I have a gluten allergy and dont expect accommodation for it, but they did have fruit, eggs and yogurt that i can safely eat. A lot of options for those that are allergy free. Will definately stay again.

Rooms: Well, my first room (requested side of hotel away from highway), first floor, had no privacy curtains. The key card would not open the door to the room I was moved to, and that entire area of the 2nd floor reeked of weed. The third room I was moved to faced the highway (as there were no other rooms available not facing the highway?) was humid and dank, and smelled of urine; I travel with a dog, and it’s a crapshoot if you’re going to get a room that isn’t horrible. The faucets in both rooms I got in to leaked from the handle during use, and there was mold/mildew built up in the bottom of the shower curtain. The bathroom vanity was old, damaged, and smelled of mildew. A/C and bathroom fans were very loud, but these helped camouflage highway noise.

Staff and Amenities: The front desk staff were friendly but slow, and the breakfast offerings were standard and minimal for this type of hotel- cereal, eggs, sausages, breads/bagels/muffins, etc. There are a lobby refrigerator and freezer with offerings for purchase. ($7/beer)

Location: Easy access from highway with lots fuel and dining options immediately surrounding. “Pit stop” area between Madison and Rockford. Busy and noisy.

Bottom line: Skip Holiday Inn Express-Janesville.

They had comfortable beds and it was very clean the only downfall was the amount of kids that were in the pool area unsupervised with adults drinking alcohol which was stated is not permitted.
