Only criticism for the hotel is that there was no one at the hotel to check us in after 6PM. We had to call the hotel to get a staff member to come from their home and let us in. After 24 hours of travel from the USA this was very inconvient.

Breakfast was generous. Really good family run hotel across the river from Cochem. It has great views of the castle. Parking tags are provided to park for free by the river. The hotel does not have parking at the facility but this was not a problem for us.

Hotel is in a beautiful old town and the room we were given faced the opposite way and looked at a concrete wall and street. I thought that I had booked a room with a small balcony and view of the castle, but I did not get that.

We found it to be a nice hotel, which was conveniently located for exploring Cochem. It was clean and tidy but little dated in areas. Breakfast had plenty of choice. We parked on car park opposite which was free during the weekend, but we had to move it for week days but the hotel gave us a parking permit to use on the main river road.
We were a party of 5 with 3 rooms, our friends in 2 separate rooms both had makeup taken from their rooms, this was the only solution we could come to as we searched the rooms thoroughly, even looking under beds and furniture. The makeup wasn’t particularly expensive but both were new items.

The view of the castle from the castle view balcony room was fantastic. The owner was extremely welcoming and provided excellent service. The buffet breakfast was phenomenal. It’s about a 10 minute walk over a picturesque bride to the Main Street with restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend booking your stay here!

Stayed here for 1 night following a boat and bike trip. Older hotel but stay was nice. Bathrooms quite small but just fine for overnight. The breakfast was great. Enjoyed the fact we were walking distance into town and would stay here again. No A/C and with global warming glad we were in the back of the hotel away from the afternoon sun. I really enjoyed staying at the Hotel Zenthof. The minute we arrived we were helped with parking our van which was not a normal size. I loved my room with a view of the river and castle. The breakfast was delicious. The staff could not have been more helpful. It was also in a quiet location set back from the river but a five minute walk away.

Nice location, not ideal parking options but I think that’s just the way it is everywhere in Cochem. It was quite hot when we were there, and the room we were in we could not keep a comfortable temperature. No mini fridge is also tough for travellers. However, everything else was excellent, very nice staff and a solid breakfast to start the day was great.

Wonderful hotel in a picturesque area. We had a balcony room overlooking the castle and the view was incredible. Also surprisingly comfortable beds with comfy duvets. You can also buy bottles of wine from the region and beer at reception.

This was a wonderful hotel. We were late coming in to town. We called and this was ok. They had a friend that lives nearby meet us and give us the key. He was very friendly and spoke English. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean. It has a blow dryer for hair and a fan for cooling. Great traditional German breakfast. It is so close to the bridge and town. You can walk everywhere. There is no doubt, I will come again.

We stayed I nights at the hotel, it was great, the owner is very nice and helped us carry our luggages twice. Truly appreciate! The pillow and bed are a little soft to us but that’s ok. They have bar and designated area to drink and chat, breakfast was great. The parking is close to the hotel. And only 20min walk to the castle. Recommend to tourist!

If it wasn’t for the paper thin walls, we would have been so happy staying here, our stay was ruined by LOUD people In The next room. The hotel is family run and they do their best to welcome guests, and their breakfast is top quality, but when you can hear a ding through the walls indicating message received on their computer, that’s what we had to deal with. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was good, though not right on the river. It is one block off, so views are limited. The hotel is older, not updated, but clean enough and comfortable enough for a one night stay. The breakfast was great. For a family stay we booked two rooms.

Lovely, very clean, well kept spacious rooms (king size beds) at a good price with breakfast (November pricing). Rooms even had a portable fan for your comfort. Friendly, helpful staff who spoke both German & English as well as made us feel welcome. They were kind and flexible with our needs/requests, like for ice for drinks in our room. Attractive and comfortable social area for both for evening drinks and morning breakfast. Offered many options for wine, beer available anytime and make a wonderful cappuccino! Easy to walk to local shops and restaurants. Very...very safe as I left my phone and wallet sitting out and both were turned in to staff. I had a single room, with a small, but comfortable bed. The room was also and there was no elevator/lift, but it was fine for a solo traveler. The only issue was the shower and toilet. I could never quite get warm /hot water in my shower, and since the same pipes and source serves all the rooms, I‘d have ti wait to flush, until a while later.

As advertised, this is a family run hotel. Family do everything to make you welcome. Breakfast was excellent. Only problem we encountered during our stay was lack of food etc. during the evening. Although the hotel has a bar as the hotel is on the opposite side of the river to the main town it was usually unoccupied. Our stay was between Christmas and the New Year so this may account for the quit evenings, maybe busier during the summer & festival times. We really enjoyed our stay & all staff were great.

Room was not as described. We booked a \"quadruple room\" which advertises \"1 king bed and 2 twin beds\" and \"separate sitting area\" for 4, and the pictures looked like a charming room in a charming building. Instead it was in an annex apartment building, no sitting area in a cramped, small room, and 1 king bed with a small pullout sofa -- so 2 adults had to sleep together, which they had not planned/wanted to do. It was also at street level on a hot summer night with no AC and only a tiny desk fan, which would have been ok if it weren't that we would have had to open the windows right on the street to get cool air in the room. If the room had been as advertised these inconveniences wouldn't have bothered us, but it isn't what we paid for.

This hotel is located directly across from the town of Cochem on the Mosel River with beautiful views of the town and the Castle of Cochem. Parking is somewhat difficult as there is none within 2 blocks of the property. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great. The fact that the staff brought our bags to our FOURTH floor room (no elevator) was key to our feeling good about this hotel.

Really lovely to see a proper family run hotel. Room (we had) had a great balcony overlooking the river and views of the castles. Breakfast was really good and fresh. Only criticism (we being british!) was that there was no kettle/cups/coffee in the room to make an early morning cup of coffee and sit out on the balcony to enjoy the view. Apart from that an excellent hotel :-)

Cute, authentic to Cochem
They have a room with 4 beds in it- perfect for a family! Very clean and tidy. It was on the 4th floor with no elevator, which was no problem for us, but might be for others. Breakfast was free, hearty, and delicious. Also, we arrived late, and the proprietor was very gracious to wait up for us. We were able to park for free during the weekend just across the street.

The view from our room was amazing! Great view of the Cochem Castle! The family running the hotel were very nice and accommodating. A nice walk across the bridge was necessary to go to the city center. Staircase to the top floor was fine for us, but I could imagine others having difficulty going up and down. The only thing that could have improved was that they let us know that they were going to fix the bathroom door ahead of time, instead of just coming in and leaving our door open and taking out the shower door. We had not even checked out yet and they started ripping the door apart and it was not so safe to leave our room door open with all our personal stuff around.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Zehnthof. The owners were very pleasant and so helpful. It was a quiet location, very convenient to Cochem. Even though it's a short walk across the bridge to the the main part of town, this side of the river offers an extraordinary view of the town and castle. (Be sure to see it at night!) The breakfast buffet was delicious and offered many choices. Our room had 2 twin beds and a king - great for our family. I would highly recommend this hotel. (A word of warning - our room was great, but it was many steps up to get to it. If stairs are an issue, inquire ahead about being placed on a lower floor.)
