The hotel is in a great location and parking with electric charge option. The staff are great but there were some problems with room keys and getting our freezer packs back. Rooms have no kettle (although we were able to get one) not fridges. Good breakfast if included. Overall an okay place to stay.

Was only there for 1 night but found the hotel to be very clean and in a good area. I arrived at 9:30am thinking I would just have them check my bag until room was ready, but to my surprise they checked me in right away and was able to freshen up and relax before heading out to explore. I left my plug adapter in Frankfurt and they luckily had an adapter for me to borrow during my stay.
Breakfast was a little pricey but very delicious and many food options. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean and quiet rooms, helpful and courteous staff, excellent breakfast, convenient courtyard parking. Step outside and immediately next door you’ll find one of the original Roman towers. It’s a short walk to the cathedral and train station, many restaurants and cafés.

The elevator was broken since we arrived and it was not fixed till we checked out. Staff didn't make any effort to be helpful regarding this. On day of check out cleaning staff repeatedly knocked on our door even though it was not check out time yet.

The bed wasn't particularly comfortable.
No TV channels, in English, were working.
Breakfast options were really good.
Staff were helpful & spoke good English.
Hotel parking charges weren't explained during booking process.
An extra 'energy' charge (additional to city tax) per guest has been in place since November 2022, but this wasn't mentioned during booking.

Check in was odd, without even greeting us front desk said “I don’t have rooms until 3pm,” I asked if we could pre register and come back for the keys she said no. It was 1:30pm. We parked and went back in to use the restrooms and saw a lady checking in, then my husband asked “so you have rooms ready now?” So she finally asked for our last name and yes room was ready, but she refused to check our reservation 10 mins before. They are a VIP property, and we are gold members and have early check in if available. She gave the keys and no information about the hotel or our reservation. We didn’t even know anything about the wireless had to call the front desk to ask information. Check out is at 11am, as gold members we have guarantee 2h late check out but another front desk agent said she didn’t know anything about late check out and refused to extend. We let it go. Asked the next morning, again “no late check outs available” we explained our gold members status, they agreed to 1 hour. We had discounted parking as a vip property and we had to remind them about it. they honored the discount. Location is great, room is very simple, bed with thin uncomfortable mattress, only two pillows, didn’t feel like a 4 star room. Staff could be friendlier or perhaps more caring.

Clean room. But I am very disappointed with bed mattress because it is very hard and cause myself sleepless, as well as pillow is so useless, its falling apart and not firm enough so my sleeps have been bad for the last 3 nights! It is quite good location, near shops and 10 mins walk to train station.

This is not a 4 star hotel, the room was so small that I thought we had been given a single room by mistake. There was only 1 large pillow on the bed. the bed itself was bigger than a twin size, but much smaller than a queen size. There was no room for both of our suitcases so mine was wedged between the bed and the wall and I had to walk over it at night to get to the restroom. Additionally, there was a weird intermittent buzzing sound both day and night. The other facilities in the hotel were good, the breakfast was also fairly good but somewhat average by most German hotels we have stayed at. The personnel were friendly and professional. My main disappointment was with the room and the buzzing noise. There is also only one elevator, so the wait could be long at times.

Useful hotel for Exhibition centre and a nice short walk into the centre (Cathedral)

The hotel lacked pizazzz but did a good job. The rooms were clean - although an unpleasant smell seemed to greet you in each room ( a number of colleagues mentioned this staying on different floors also)

The hotel is in a great location, but the hotel needs many improvements. The one thing that worked very well was the air conditioning. It was 35C in Köln, so good AC was important. On the other side the wifi in our room (#318) was awful, it rarely worked. The bed was very small and uncomfortable for two people. The foam mattress is not suitable for a hotel bed. This is made worse by a wooden frame that is only a few centimetres below the top of the foam. This frame is solid and pretty, but it is uncomfortable when you lie at the edge of the foam mattress and feel the hard wood in your back. There was also a low regular motor noise every 30 mins that was irritating during the middle of the night. I complained about the wifi at reception, they were polite but indifferent.

Surprised this is rated as 4 star hotel. Very austere, no service not even shampoo or conditioner. Reals of let’s give the client as little as possible. Quite scabby actually. Don’t expect your sheets to be changed.

I am very impressed with my stay this past week. The front desk and restaurant waitresses are fantastic. They were very helpful, friendly and super attentive. I highly recommend the restaurant inside the hotel. It is outstanding! The breakfast buffet is scrumptious with a variety of fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, bacon, sausages, fresh rolls and croissants as well as cereals and yogurts. My dinner was the best! My compliments to the chef! In addition, this hotel is in a great location. You can walk to everything downtown.

Most awful hotel experience ever

I stayed in the Stadthotel Am Roermerturm Hotel for over a week during a business trip and had two really awful experiences so far. Due to noisy neighbours and the poor sound insulation of the rooms, I couldn't sleep two nights during my stay. I even asked for a change of room in the middle of the night (two days), but front desk managers were not able to change it (even if there was a karaoke party with 8 people at 1 am, in the room next to mine). I tried to meet the hotel manager several times, but he was never available at the hotel... The receptionist told me to get in touch with him via e-mail. I sent him an e-mail and never got back to me... It was a very busy week for me at the office, so having a good night sleep was ver important to me and no one at the Stadthotel Am Roermerturm hotel gave me a solution. They just offered me a free breakfast the last day... it was a total lack of respect.

Good hotel close to most of the Christmas Markets

Me and four female friends stayed here to go to the Christmas markets. For us the location was ideal. Most of the markets were walking distance and we were just off the main shopping drag. There were also lots of restaurant/cafes nearby for food. Hotel was very friendly, clean and efficient. We were made to feel very welcome even though we could speak little German. We did not breakfast in the hotel but made use of the bar most nights. We all agreed when we come back to Cologne we will stay here again

A lovely friendly hotel with efficient check in and check out experience, and easy walking distance from 2 underground stations. Quiet, clean room with spacious shower/toilet and a very comfortable bed. Nice little touches like complementary flavored water in reception and bottled water in the room on arrival, as well as a free in-room safe were welcome. Provision of an in-room kettle and tea/coffee facilities would have been nice touch.

Every 10 minutes i was woken by a loud banging noise coming from somewhere above the room. I'm normally a heavy sleeper and this prevented getting more than a solid 10 minutes. The next morning i was shattered having had the worst night sleep ever. Even babies don't wake up this often. The hotel staff tried to be sympathetic but a free breakfast won't make up for no sleep on a business trip. Avoid unless you don't expect to sleep.

GREAT hotel! When we got there, they seen my reservation but I was not listed in their system. The room I had paid for was no longer available, but the lady who was working the night shift was very helpful and got me and my kids 2 rooms across of each other and added the breakfast buffet as a complimentary to their mistake of not having us in the system. OVERALL, our stay was GREAT!! The hotel was clean, breakfast had a great selection of food items. My kids were happy which made me happy! Will recommend and stay there again!

We stayed here for 4 nights. It is situated not too far from the rail station, and it is very central. The room we had was on the 4th floor. We used it as a base for exploring the City. It was ideal for this as you were into the main hub of Cologne within minutes.

I needed a place to work from and called the hotel to make sure that I can get a good, stable, unlimited Internet connection.

When I got there I was surprised to see that the reality was different. One of the worst Internet access in terms of speed and stability.

On top of that after 2 days they told me the parking lot will be closed for a week and I need to take my car and figure out a solution.

And there I am instead of minding my business I have to search for parking spots and work from restaurants with Wi-Fi.

The location of the hotel was perfect, but for a new hotel, it was in a poor state of repair - the elevator call button failed repeatedly - and the elevator was way too slow, the hallways stank of new carpeting, and the wifi required a new password every day. Housekeeping was friendly, but inconsistent. Not a single piece of art anywhere - stark white walls made me feel like I was in a hospital.

Mi sono recato in questa struttura per viaggio di lavoro. Doveva essere un hotel 4 stelle, visto anche il prezzo pagato mi aspettavo qualcosa di meglio. Il bagno piccolo, la doccia non era pulitissima. Per due giorni ho avuto la stessa bottiglia d'acqua praticamente finita e nessuna me l'ha sostituita. Nota positiva, la posizione abbastanza centrale.

Ein- und Auschecken war qualvoll.. Er war nur ein Mitarbeiter dort und es hat ewig lange aufgrund der hohen Personenzahl, die auschecken wollten (über 30min), gedauert - dafür hat man morgens keine Zeit - der Kollege an der Rezeption braucht dringend Verstärkung!

Das Hotel ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, sehr sauber und ordentlich.
Das Frühstück war hervorragend und der Gastraum sehr gemütlich und einladend. Auch eine schöne Terrasse ist vorhanden.
Die Zimmer sind sehr gut klimatisiert. Bei offenem Fenster. Zu schlafen ist allerdings etwas schwierig, da die Umgebungslautstärke doch wahrnehmbar ist.
Bei geschlossenem Fenster ist es allerdings super ruhig.
Die Lage ist super es gibt ganz viele Restaurants, die man zu Fuß erreichen kann. Zur Straßenbahnhaltestelle sind es nur wenige Gehminuten und man ist auch ganz schnell in der Fußgängerzone.

Drøye 10 min å gå fra sentralstasjonen/Kølnerdomen, og også i nærheten til det livlige belgiske kvarteret. Men relativt stille akkurat der hotellet er.

Great hotel, you can found everyrhing what you need for short stays. Only my concern is for pillows, one is very thick other one is very thin in the bed, I need some middle size.
