The lack of 5 stars was the staff, not personable (except for the manager, she was great!). They seemed bothered by us dropping by front desk to even check in or ask a question.

We stayed in the chateau area of the hotel. Absolutely loved having the little area to ourselves and being able to walk down to the river.
All the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. We arrived early but the girl at the front desk was very nice and let us check in early because our room happened to be ready. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and had a great waiter and amazing food.
The only negative I could say about the property was the construction. We stayed on a weekend so there was no construction happening and it didn't bother us at all but I'm just putting it out there for anyone that reads this review that there is construction happening at the hotel.

Overall the experience at this hotel is average. Certainly not the 4 star rating it has noted. Rooms are sparsely decorated, with very little amenities. No Closet, No Full length mirror, no phone in the room. If you need to reach the front desk, you have to look it up on the web and call in - I would suggest a dedicated line for guests to reach staff, amenities such as water in the room and perhaps a mini bar option rather than just an empty fridge. Elevator was broken, no bell service or assistance offered guests to haul their luggage up 3 flights of stairs.

We paid for a riverfront view with a private balcony. When we got there, they bumped us to a small room that overlooked the playground with a shared balcony. Their excuse was that there was a wedding and they needed our room…so we got bumped but paid the price for the original room. We were extremely disappointed!!!
