Major shower problem on day 1. Reported it straightaway: they kept saying it was solved but it wasn't. Only on the last night (stayed 4 nights!) did they say it was probably a building problem. Offered to let us have a shower in another room. Complaint and request for a discount resulted in a measly 20 Euros discount per night. V poor service an response: shame as it is a nice hotel.

A beautiful hotel by Lake ziegelsee. The hotel had their own boat dock. The view from our room was of the lake. The was spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly, and check in was quick. My only complaint was lack of air conditioning. It was quite warm when we were there even with windows open. Breakfast buffet was good.

Possibly the best pet-friendly hotel in Schwerin!
The hotel room was bigger and nicer than we expected. The bathroom was modern and spacious and soap and hair dryer were provided. We would have liked there to be a mini fridge and water cooker in the room but for our short stay it didn’t bother us so much. The beds (sheets) were comfortable but we both found the pillows way too soft, literally no support at all. The complimentary breakfast was nice and the dinner we had in the hotel restaurant was also quite delicious. Staff at the check in counter and those in the restaurant and bar were all very polite and friendly. The hotel is located about 20 min walk from the city center where you can find more dining options but is right by the lake and the view is breathtaking. We enjoyed our walks by the water very much. Overall we had a wonderful stay and thought the location perfect for visiting Schwerin. We were traveling with our little dog and they even provided a water bowl and a small packet of kibbles for her in the room.

We’ve been exploring Hansestädte, and Schwerin ranks up there, near ir at the top. Hotel Speicher, a brisk walk, 15 min from the Altstadt, is ideal. Quiet, spacious rooms, nice staff, great restaurant, what more can you ask for.

They have a lovely lake view to the west, and very comfortable rooms. Meals in the restaurant were very good, and we especially enjoyed lunch outdoors on a sunny day. I developed a new love: sour cherry jam at breakfast.

Really nice hotel convenient to the town of Schwerin and the lakes. Well-laid out bathroom with lots of room and shelves. Fabulous buffet breakfast each morning and a great dinner menu with the nicest restaurant servers in each case! The only \"negative\" is the construction going on all around the hotel (not very attractive) and the ugly, waterside crane left over from the Communist era. Even with the \"negative\" we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und kompetent. Das Ambiente einfach herrlich. Unser Zimmer war sauber, nur die Küche war unter uns und auch die Müllkübel standen direkt unter unserem Fenster. Wenn dann das Personal auch noch raucht ist das sehr unangenehm. Ansonsten eine herrliche Lage und vor allem eine ruhige Umgebung.

Wir sind übers Wochenende hier eingecheckt, da wir zum Geburtstag eingeladen waren und Verwandte besucht haben. Ich habe online eingecheckt, deshalb war das Ankommen unkompliziert und vorbereitet. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und wir wurden mit den notwendigen Informationen versorgt. Parkplatz, großzügig und kostenfrei vorhanden. Positiv empfanden wir, dass eine ungefähre Frühstückszeit angegeben werden sollte. Dadurch war der Raum nicht überfüllt, Wartezeiten werden vermieden. Ein reichhaltiges, sehr gut sortiertes, Frühstück rundeten den Tagesstart ab. Freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal auch hier. Ein sehr komfortables Zimmer mit Ausblick auf den Ziegelsee rundeten den positiven Aufenthalt ab. Wir werden wiederkommen. Ein großes Lob an das Personal in allen Bereichen. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Die Lage ist gut - am See Promenade und nicht weit von Zentrum und Schloss Schwerin. Das Zimmer ist ziemlich einfach aber O.K. Sauna ist super, das Frühstück ist gut und das Personal im Service ist sehr freundlich.

Das Personal und der Service sind hervorragend. Bei unserem Hotelzimmer in der 7. Etage gab es das Problem, dass die Zimmertür nicht richtig dicht war und es bei geöffnetem Fenster in der Nacht ständig ein pfeifendes Geräusch gab. Bei einem Zimmer in dieser Preiskategorie erwarte ich das eigentlich nicht. Aus meiner Sicht müsste die Tür komplett mit Zarge ausgetauscht werden.

Das Zimmer ist nicht modernisiert (ausgenommen das Bad) und sieht noch sehr altmodisch aus. Speziell die ehemalige kleine Küchennische mit einem leeren Kühlschrank und einem Wasserkocher passt überhaupt nicht zu einem 4-Sterne-Superior-Hotel. Wenn schon die Küchennische sinnvoll genutzt werden soll, dann hätten wir uns eine kleine Nespresso-Maschine an der Stelle gewünscht. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend, aber auch hier ist noch Luft nach oben. Speziell die Käseauswahl lässt zu wünschen übrig. Da das Buffet auf sehr kleinem Raum angeboten wird, arbeitet das Hotel mit Frühstücks-Zeitslots, für die man sich am Tag vorher festlegen muss. Die positiven Seiten des Hotels möchte ich allerdings auch erwähnen: sehr schöne neue Sauna-Landschaft, tolles Restaurant mit wenigen, aber sehr guten Gerichten, nette Außenbewirtschaftung in Strandkörben am See, sehr schöne Lage am See, ausreichend Parkplätze, Innenstadt ist zur Fuß erreichbar.

Das Dachzimmer als Studio, bzw. Suite zu bezeichnen ist schon anmaßend. Für stolze 475,-- für 3 Nächte gibt es ganz normalen Standard! Dafür liegt man ab 5.30 Uhr wach, da es keine Verdunklungsvorhänge gibt (!!) und ab 7 Uhr der Presslufthammer direkt auf dem Hotelgelände geschwungen wird. Obendrein zahlt man für einen Capucchino beim Frühstück 2,-- (bekommt man schon in Dreisternehäusern kostenlos!). Ein extra Ei beim Frühstück gab es ebenfalls nicht, ganz streng durfte jeder Gast nur e i n e Eiersorte pro Zeile ankreuzen!
Beim Auschecken schenkt man sich wahrscheinlich wohlweislich die Frage, ob der Gast zufrieden war.....

Wir haben uns in diesem Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt und werden es für unseren nächsten Aufenthalt in Schwerin sicherlich wieder buchen.

Gepflegtes Hotel in sehr schöner Lage, fussläufig zur Altstadt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Blick auf den Ziegelsee und konnten die abendliche Stimmung in den bereitgestellten Strandkörben ausgiebig genießen. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr gepflegtes Hotel, freundliches Personal. Zimmer ausreichend groß, wir hatten Seeblick und schauten durch eine große Fensterfront (die auch geöffnet werden konnte) zum wenige Meter entfernt liegenden See. Frühstück sehr gut, auch das im Hotel eingenommene Abendessen war sehr gut. Parken gratis, WLAN unkompliziert und schnell. Durch die Lage außerhalb der Innenstadt am See ist in der Umgebung nichts los, dafür ist es aber sehr ruhig.
Einzige Nachteile: keine Klimaanlage. Das war für uns aufgrund des Wetters kein Problem, wir können aber nicht beurteilen, wie es im Hochsommer ist. Ein kleiner Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer für den Kaffee oder Tee zwischendurch wäre auch nett.
Aber insgesamt klare Empfehlung. Wir würden dort wieder übernachten.

Ett fint gammalt hotell. Vi hade oturen att få ett rum trasigt handfat men det var annars ok. Vi fick också betala lokal skatt ca 80 kr. trots att allt skulle vara betalt. Det hände på ett hotell av fem. Parkering i hotellets garage tillkom också på ca 350 kr. AC verkar saknas på de flesta tyska hotell. Frukosten var underbar och får en att glömma bort missnöjsamheterna.
