Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains is truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.
From the moment you arrive, everything feels exceptional; the location is unbeatable, surrounded by a magical alpine landscape that feels straight out of a postcard.

The setting overlooking the mountains is simply breathtaking, especially in the mornings and evenings. The atmosphere of the hotel is warm, elegant, and timeless, making every moment feel special.

What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff. Every single team member was genuinely warm, attentive, and professional, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. Their hospitality added a personal touch that elevated the entire experience.

An unforgettable stay in St. Moritz; luxurious yet comforting, refined yet heartfelt. I would return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly memorable alpine escape.

The suite was new and very clean.
Toilet was very small, and the towel heating rack was not working.
Room temperature cannot be warmer in winter as there is no heating.
The buffet breakfast spread was amazing.
The restaurant staff must be commended: Fabio, Nabli & Sebastion at the egg station.

Air conditioning wasn't available, so had to leave windows open at night. A little noise as a result. If it was any hotter, could have become a big problem. Room was spacious and enjoyable. Breakfast buffet was outstanding. Spa area was outstanding, including the five suana options. Primarily ate in the bar versus sitting down for dinner, liked eating in the bar lounge.

don't like - *tough walk for skiers to the lift. a property like this should make arrangements to transports skiers to lifts. I had blisters on my knees by the end of my stay.

A beautiful hotel with excellent facilities including a beautiful pool and spa. It is a short distance from town in a quiet area with nice walks to the lakes. The staff are very friendly and proactive. The room is large and very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing with wide selection of food and comes with complementary cook to order entrees.
A nice surprise that our room rate comes with a free local travel pass which gives access to all local rides and mountain access. The concerige staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

The location and premises were great and the spa is amazing.
We stayed over Easter weekend and you could feel it was the last weekend they were opened in terms of service, people were nice but a bit maybe too laid back. The waiters at the enoteca were nice but not discrete and the service was not complementing the food that was honestly amazing.

Simply an amazing hotel!!! Extremely nice staff and willing to help with anything. Great place for children. Did not discover until checkout that they offer free daycare for your child while you are a guest. They even offered a child’s goodie bag to my son for the car ride home.

The Hotel looks great from the outside but the inside does not reflect the same luxury. The rooms are okay but if you know the Kempinski Adlon in Berlin or the Kempinski Taschenberg Palais in Dresden this hotel is rather mediocre. Unfortunately, they gave us room 133 which is directly above the bar area. The live music in the bar is more like an extremely loud discothek rather than the typical nice bar music. It felt like staying in a youth hostel rather than in a 5 star luxury hotel.
At check out their computer system was down and we had to leave our payment data manually.

So, summarizing: our one might stay was rather disappointing and definitely not worth the expense!

Grand hotel, but rather dated. Don't get me wrong, I love history, but I don't want to feel like I am stepping into a time machine when I enter my room. The decor of the rooms looks like it has not been changed in decades. The staff was fine, but far from genuine. We frequently stay at 5 star hotels. This may have been a 5 star hotel at one time, but it is now a 4 star hotel at best. On a high note, the breakfast buffet was fantastic. I cannot recommend this hotel if you are expecting a 5 star experience.

Super atmosphere - \"good old times\" building facing a small park. Apropriatelly maintained. Excellent breakfest. Provides shuttle servis free of charge. Very poor reception services - you ask for a quite room on upper floor well in advance and you get 1st floor just above the main entrance; you ask for the shuttle service evening before and the request is not kept overnight; you talk to the receptionist in one language, she turns over for a second and continiues with you in other language as if forgeting about you in the second. Overall, hard facts very much ok, soft facts unexpectedly weak for a 5 star hotel. Especially the issue with the room can make you the stay finger up or finger down. Worst hotel experience out of three during this journey.

This hotel is incredible.
You will be exceptionally pleased with your stay.
Everything is sorted from the complimentary service to pick you up on arrival and then again when you depart, to them taking them to your room and telling you about everything to concierge collecting your bags etc.
Ive stayed in nice hotels everywhere in Switzerland but this was the first hotel that had luxury bath products that didnt contain parabens or nasty mineral oils. The bergamot products were fantastic. The RESTAURANT CÀ D'ORO is exceptional, expensive yes but no dearer than prices i would pay in Sydney for something similar. I highly recommend it.
But be prepared for the expense.
I had the 4 course set menu and it was exceptional from start to finish.

One of the best in Europe

Through the years, we have stayed in some very nice hotels across Europe. This was one of the best experiences from the quality of the facilities, the food, and the staff. Even though they cater to the rich and famous, they could not have been nicer or more genuine to us as we arrived in our average rental car. The staff was very professional but sincerely interested in making sure the guests enjoyed their hotel experience. The smallest compliment made them swell with pride because it was obvious they loved making our stay memorable.
This is the first time I have ever given a perfect rating for a hotel. That should sum it up.

First Class in every aspect!

This is a first class hotel in a great location. Everyone was friendly and efficient. The facility was exceptional from the common areas to the individual rooms. The swimming pool, spa, and saunas were from a fairytale. There were actually six different saunas with varying temperatures and humidity. The restaurants likewise were of a caliber which complemented the entire experience. It was first class in every aspect.

It was the perfect stay in St Moritz. The stag were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and had great amenities, and the breakfast was just about the best we've ever had. We also had dinner in the Wine Bar, and it really surpassed our expectations. Obviously excellent wine, but also food (try the sample/ tasting food menu called the Experience) but again top notch service. There are many touches which were very special. Just super, and we've been lucky enough to stay in some good places so we have an idea of when things are good but not great. This was really great. And a great hotel really influences type quality of your experience on a trip.

Room Upgrade

I was told that I got a room upgrade instead when I entered the room I felt so paranoid. I have never stayed in a room which had one small window. I am fine with it but don't lie to me and tell me it is a room upgrade.
Also, I was not told beforehand that even though I have paid in full I still had to give a deposit of 750CHF per room??
I burst my credit card and messed up my spending in Swiss and Zurich!!

Perfect hotel for the ski holiday

Everybody was so helpful, especially Natalie ( guest relations ) she helped us about everything.Norman was also good when check in& check out. Rooms are so clean and comfortable. Breakfast is also good and everytime you can hear piano . It was also so close to the ski area. Everything was expensive but this is holiday that's why it's worth it.

Perfect Hotel in the Alps

The property was gorgeous, rooms were spacious and every staff member was great! The property had a nice assortment of restaurants (Italian, buffet and fine dining), a ski shop/in-house ski school, lovely spa, casino and spacious lounge with live music. It was a short walk or 5 minute taxi ride to the slopes, a 10 minute walk to Lake St. Moritz and a 20 minute walk to the City Center and train station. Absolutely perfect - we look forward to staying there again!

Kempinski is indeed an amazing hotel. We booked a room for 2 nights and we just didn't want to go home. The hotel is beautiful, with a very big spa. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are big and nice decorated.
The best part of the stay was the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. This is where all the difference is made. Congratulations to this hotel for choosing the best in the industry.
The Concierge helped me with every restaurant booking I wanted, not only that, but they even recommended where to go during our stay, as it was my husband's birthday - and their recommendation was exceptional! And we had a lovely surprise as we found a very delicious chocolate cake and a birthday card signed by the staff in our room at arrival - big thank you!
And I have to mention the breakfast, as it was indeed very good - not only the food, but also the best piano player you can hear during breakfast. Live music, good quality food and service - thank you Kempinski!

Important building on comfortable location. Reasonable interior decoration and spacious, functional rooms.
I got good rate for the period 10 - 14, January, and complimentary ski pass for two!
Extraordinary service on every spot, Reception, Concierge, Doorman, Lobby Bar, Ski Room. Excellent food at the Bar, just to mention. Very clean rooms and smart mades.

Ski area and nature are thrilling! Ski slopes are great, for every type of skiers. Restaurants are excellent, ranging from elite La Marmitte and fabulous Paradisso, to affordable and good Truzz. Only, really disturbing thing are outdated Signal gondola, which lookes like old war tank converted into ski gondola, and outdated ski lifts. Ski lifts are seriously lagging behind those in all major austrian ski resorts. Plus, ski areas are not connected, Corvatsch end Silvaplana. Look how it is in Kitzbuhel, for example, two mountains are connected with modern gondola to great satisfaction and comfort of it's guests.

Cozy, quick stay with my husband

My husband and I had a wonderful time and enjoyed this hotel for two nights. During the day we rented bikes and rode around town and down to Silvaplana. It was a beautiful, low key ride and great way to explore the area and St Moritz.
We took advantage of the spa and both got massages. The service was and treatment was thoroughly enjoyed as well as the rest of the spa amenities.

A getaway at the Kempiski St Moritz

I went for a 5 day getaway to St Moritz . On my arrival I was greeted at the train station and driven to the hotel , which is only about 5 min away by car and located at the edge of St Moritz . Unfortunately, St Moritz has been expanding over the years with monstrous new builds and is not what it used to be . If you want to stay in the heard of the village or close to it you'll find the hotel in a comprising location , but this has been mentioned many times before. I was a bit disappointing to begin with , but found the hiking and walking from the hotel more then satisfying and making up for the location . I booked a standard room , and was upgrade to the next higher lever overlooking the park at the front of the hotel . The view wasn't overwhelming and the room in general quite noisy. Any gathering of guest or other occurrences outside the hotel was traveling fast to the 4 th floor and I could hear it . The room was nice and comfortable , but the separate toilet and bathroom too tiny and very awkward to use . Thanks god I was alone, because The layout is not very private . The best was Mr Michael the hotel concierge ! He gets a 5 from me for being attentive and really trying hard . The rest of the staff is ok but just not attentive enough in my opinion. Very expensive for what you get , but then it's Switzerland St Moritz .

Very elegant and beautiful but somewhat overpriced

Excellent stay at Kempinski in St. Moritz during mid-June 2015. The hotel is beautiful, excellent service and staff, great SPA and good food. There is not much not to like here. During our two day stay the summer weather was very cool with even a couple of snow flurries, but the hotel was cozy. The only complaints I could have are that the SPA does not have a Jaccuzzi / Hot Tub which is really a must for a hotel of this caliber. Also the Hotel Restaurant seems very expensive with a $500+ bill for 4 people for dinner with dishes that were not really worth that money. Nevertheless I would consider returning to this beautiful hotel.

The staff was from the driver that greet us at the train station to the receptionist until the porter who said goodbye,was warm and friendly.

My husband and I went to St. Moritz for a 3 day ski holiday. The Kempski was great. Very convenient: the shuttle will drop you/pick you up from the train station and the city center. The breakfast is great. The bar is really relaxed. The hotel is not stuffy at all, even though it's very high end. The spa gives very good massages. There is also a ski rental shop and ski school in the hotel, although it's more convenient to rent on the mountain if you are skiing in Corviglia and all of the ski schools will send instructors to the hotel to pick you up if you get private lessons.

Beautiful Hotel

Great hotel. Great service. Rooms were very small which is common in Europe. Pricey but in line with other 5 star hotels in the area. Location was not central but the hotel had shuttle and car service which was conveniant.
