Comfortable Hotel
Externally the hotel does not look interesting but it has been renovated and is lovely inside especially the breakfast room. The bedroom was contemporary and very clean. The only downside was the shower as it wasn’t very powerful. Parking in front of the hotel was very easy and free. The breakfast was extremely good. Unfortunately the swimming pool was closed. Short walk into town.

I stayed 2 nights in July since I had business in town. Service was friendly and uncomplicated throughout. My room was relatively large and included a large balcony with table and 2 chairs and a nice view over the valley. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom with shower was clean and everything worked fine. It should be noted though that the room had no air-conditioning and was quite warm. Only by blocking the balcony door with a chair in the fully open position could I secure a comfortable sleeping temperature at night. Not sure whether that would have also worked during the recent heat wave in this area. But during my stay it worked well. Breakfast variety was fine. I wish I would have had more time to enjoy it before leaving for work in the mornings. The hotel is located in a quiet area at the border of the town. Both evenings I enjoyed the 1 km (10 min) walk through a residential street to the scenic historic town centre, which offers quite a variety of restaurants for every taste and budget. Most restaurants had pleasant outside seating and there was no disturbing traffic. I also enjoyed an evening walk through the park of the Castle, which is right in the centre of town and includes a nice rose garden. Only annoying thing was that the WIFI didn't work well and had a lot of lengthy interruptions, which made internet dependent work impossible.

This as a last minute booking that I add as I was looking for a place to stay in between my drive from Rotterdam to Hamburg.
The hotel is nice and the service was pleasant. The room was clean, though a bit dated (circa the 70’s). The room initially had the smell of dog, but quickly cleared out once I opened the balcony door. Overall, it was great value and I was able to get a great night of rest.

Great Hotel in a lovely Spa town not far from the Motorway from Bremen to Amsterdam. Quiet. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Plenty of parking. Nice restaurant.

We stayed one night. Everything was fine really and the hotel was certainly value for money. Only real downer was our small bathroom which really looked as if it hadn't changed since the 70s. All mustard tiles and a pokey shower cubicle. Shame really as this coloured our view of the night we stayed.

Das Hotel ist nicht mehr ganz neu, aber das macht gar nichts, denn es ist sehr sauber, gepflegt und geschmackvoll renoviert.

Mooi uitzicht, ook in het restaurant. Helaas kon daar alleen het ontbijt genuttigd worden. Heerlijk frisse ruimte waar het zwembad en sauna gevestigd waren. Wel ontbreekt daar een wc en is er sprake van inkijk vanaf terras en enkele kamers. Dat hoeft niet hinderlijk te zijn, maar wel handig dit vtv te weten. Door de corona was de \" Damfsauna\" gesloten. Het ontbijt was helaas niet in buffetvorm, maar werd aan tafel uitgeserveerd. Op het mooie tafellinnen lag een doorzichtig dik plastic kleed, dat nadat de gasten waren vertrokken, goed gedesinfecteerd werd (ook de overhangende delen!). Er werd veel aandacht aan coronamaatregrlen besteed: desinfectie, mondkapjes, bespreken van een tijdslot voor zwembad en sauna. De af te sluiten fietsenberging was een pluspunt. Fijn dat er op de kamer een waterkoker was. Ondanks dat de matras best dik was en van goede kwaliteit, was deze voor mij te hard. Mijn vader, met een hernia-probleem, zou er echter heerlijk op geslapen hebben.

2 nachten in dit hotel waren zeer aangenaam. Goed eigen restaurant, goed ontbijt, mooie kamers. De douche in kamer 16 leverde de enige bemerking op: te zachte straal, doch maar goed ook want de afwatering was zeer miniem en je stond tot je enkels al gauw in het water. Gemeld, en het zou verholpen worden.
