This was the most wonderful stay I could think off. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, very well kept and impeccably clean. It exudes a feel of confortable luxury and a captivating history of both distinguished hedonism as well as the most serious meetings and events of world politics and history. The staff is beyond professionnal and polite and could be a model of guest services and welcome. Spécial mention to concierge Lukasz who is a passionate ambassador to the history of the hôtel. All this in a wonderful seaside city of Sopot. And imagine adding to this, seen from my room, the view of the neatly cared garden, the golden sand of the beach and the melody of waves from the Baltic sea. This was a truly amazing weeklong stay for me.

Phenomenal property. We traveled with 3 young kids. So accommodating for families. My favorite part was giving us bathrobes and slippers for the entire family even baby. So easy to go to pool with and all. Food was great. Drinks were great. Beach access was actually the best! Kind happy helpful staff everywhere. Great location as well. Right next to the pier. Honestly the best place to stay in Sopot.

Great property in best location in Sopot. Service was very good, a pleasant surprise. Easy walk to many shops, food and entertainment. Good beach access with dedicated beach chairs, towels, and food/beverage service. Only critique is that the indoor pool could use some upgrading (still very usable) snd would be nice to have some more diverse eating options on property. These are small knits, overall would highly recommend and would stay there again.

The room we got looked like maids room, tiny with outdated bathroom. The whole hotel does not look like 5 stars and I don’t think it is up to Sofitel standards.
But the big plus of the hotel is its location.
Beach right in front reserved only for guests, beautiful bike path and bike rental right there as well; the pier (molo); everywhere walkable to Sopot’s main attractions.

Beautiful building, awkward place to live. Need to walk up a long car ramp to get into the hotel, followed by a hard to push revolving door. Not a single door around the hotel can be opened by a guest key. The shower reaches up to my chest, so have to stand on my knees to shower. Outstanding gardens in the back. Beautiful beach.

This is an very beautiful classic Belle Epoque hotel from 1927. It is located beautifully on a long white beach. It is an impressive hotel, and the staff is very attentive and nice.The only negative thing was that the air condition did not work well enough, so we had a couple of warm nights.

Outstandingly beautiful on the outside, adjacent to both the beach and the park. Just a couple of minutes’ walk to bars and restaurants. However, apart from the reception area and a couple of other spaces, the interior was a little generic, typical of a large chain, and was a little disappointing.

The hotel’s location is perfect if you want to be right by the Baltic Sea as it’s near the Sopot pier (called Molo Sopockie) and the lighthouse. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help to make your stay very comfortable. We enjoyed staying at Sofitel Grand Sopot hotel very much and will be back there next time we are in Poland on vacation.

I loved the Art Deco feel of the hotel. The bar is a real treat to visit. Breakfast too was amazing - so much choice and all very high quality. Only downside was that the room was very, very hot at night even when we adjusted the thermostat. We had to open the window and turn on the fan.

Warmth and Comfort in Snowy Sopot

Beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The location was fabulous - on the seafront with the local town and amenities very accessible.
Our room was elegant and well appointed; we hadn't chosen an expensive one and the view over the park was pretty.
We had a magical 3 days in Sopot and would recommend it to our friends. Definitely a great experience.

We had a fantastic stay, apart from the poor weather, which meant we could not use the private beach : (
The staff were truly sensational – every single person was so helpful and genuinely nice. Truly 5* service!

The breakfast was simply PHENOMENAL – the best breakfast (by far) that both my husband and I have ever had (and we stayed in quite a few hotels in our time, both for leisure and business).
The dinner selection was tiny bit poor so we probably wouldn’t have the evening meal there again. There was a lot of fish and seafood which I personally don’t like, so this is just our preference, nothing wrong with the restaurant itself and the service was great.

Overall the hotel is really fantastic and it has a great historic feel to it.
We will definitely stay there again, hopefully next year, as a special treat.

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel Sopot before, and as you can see from the sites pictures, it is a truly stunning hotel in a great location.

But it's not until there is an issue, that you realise just how good an organisation is.

I was due to stay again at the Hotel from the 10th December to 13th for some Christmas shopping, but unfortunately my flight from Birmingham was cancelled due to the poor weather. I contacted the Hotel directly from the Airport and my booking was cancelled there & then with a full refund.

So 10/10 from me and I look forward to returning to the Hotel again sometime.

This was the fanciest (and priciest) hotel which I booked on my month long trip around Poland so I had high expectations. Overall it was lovely. Beautiful location and the hotel had that 1920's charm about it. Room very big, massive bathroom. Everything super clean. Service at check in very friendly and accommodating. Similarly bar staff very nice. Two small disappointments. The shower wasn't great. Water pressure could be better, and it leaked all over the floor. The other let down was the buffet breakfast. At 80 zlotys per head its expensive by Polish standards and not worth that kind of money. The buffet was at times a little untidy and dishes not refreshed enough (soggy tomato and bocconcini salad is not attractive). Also they should do eggs to order or have an omelette station or something a little extra. The buffet breakfast at Puro Hotel in Gdansk is only 50 zlotys/head and is nicer.
The pool was lovely and the gym well equipped. Again, all staff excellent.
Overall a couple of small negatives but otherwise really good. Would recommend.

Comfort and luxury in Sopot

Although our room was small the hotel was very close to perfect - fantastic relaxed bar with live harp playing every night, fantastic buffet breakfast with views over the Baltic and the famous Sopot wooden pier. Staff were all very welcoming and couldn't be more helpful.

Fantastic Long Weekend Destination!!!!

As a couple travelling from England on a Long Weekend Break we decided to try somewhere a bit different!!! We narrowed our destination choice to Poland and Rather than a normal city break we decided on Soport. Further research made our choice of the Sofitel Grand Hotel an easy one. What a fantastic Hotel. Everything about our stay was Superb!!! Every single member of staff very knowledgeable, courteous and extremely helpful!!! The concierge recommended a visit to Gdansk old town, arranged taxis and even suggested Restaurants where similar quality cuisine to the Hotel were available. I simply couldn't fault our visit to the '3 cities' area of Poland and the Hotel exceeded our expectations in every aspect!!! I would strongly recommend a stay there!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

The hotel was basically very good, but the room was not exactly as booked as we had neither a view over the 'beautiful gardens' or the sea, but the side of the adjacent hotel.
The breakfast was too expensive so we ate out all the time, and we had a lot of trouble ordering a room service breakfast when we tried.
We had had a few niggles when the newspaper didn't arrive 3 days out of 7, tea bags weren't replaced, etc, The staff were very nice and helpful, but the service not quite 5 star.

Everything was great during our stay at this historic hotel on. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially Patryk, the door man. The staff at the bar and front desk were also hospitable and the on-site casino was an additional amenity. Hotel is right on a huge beach.

Watch out for the hidden costs

Nice hotel friendly staff but I was never informed I would have to pay amost 40euro for three days car parking. When I was leaving the hotel at 4.30am I couldnt wake the security guard to let me out. It was very embarresing. Other that that it was very good stay.

Two night break with friends

We stayed here in April 2016 to mark my husbands 40th. We stayed with 5 other friends. From the moment we arrived at the airport the hotel could not have done more for us. We were picked up by a shuttle bus and brought to the hotel. Although we arrived at 10 am the hotel had already most of our rooms ready and offered us full use of the facilities. We were upgraded to a luxury room at no extra cost as it was my husband's birthday and also given a drink voucher to use at the bar. Throughout our two day stay my husband also received a birthday card, cake and wine, newspapers from Czech (as he is from Czech rep) and as he loves motorbikes they got him a replica model of his own bike which he was thrilled about. All of these little extra touches ensured my husband had a very memorable weekend. All of the staff from front door to reception to bar could not have been more friendly or helpful to us all. Our room was huge and clean and bed was so comfy. The hotel has a very central location and you can be to all the popular spots in a few minutes walk. If you are planning a trip to Sopot you have to stay here. It is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at and excellent value for money. You won't be disappointed.

I had been for food to the hotel once before and when I knew I was working in the area, decided to try it for the night. First impressions were amazing - it's an incredible building and the staff were superb.

I was a little let down by dinner - the food was very tasty, however my steak came out more medium than rare (I kept it as it was still very good) and I ordered cheesecake for dessert, which came out totally frozen. I sent this back and didn't have to pay, but it did take the gloss off things. It's a minor thing, but for such a perfect hotel it was unexpected.

The room itself was lovely but small (I was in one of the cheapest rooms) and breakfast was the best I've had in an hotel. So much choice, all delicious. It's located right on the beach which is really worth an explore.

Overall, a superb hotel, and I'd have no hesitation in stopping again.

It doesn't get more grand than Sofitel Grand!

This exquisite, strikingly-beautiful hotel provided everything we could have asked for. From the beach side service to the indoor pool, sauna and massages at the spa, we were very pleased. The staff greeted us at every opportunity, rushed items to our room when asked and ensured that our stay was pleasant.
