This property REALLY lived up to its name. We were granted an upgraded room for our stay and the suite was beautiful! Simple, Spacious, Inviting and Homely! Felt Like I was in a good condo/apt (minus a kitchenette but that wasnt a necessity). OH AND THE BATHTUB AND BATHROOM was amazing. Definitely recommend this for a nice couples getaway. Unfortunately the bowling downstairs was filled when we decided to go but next time!

Misleading Listing – Avoid This Hotel

strongly advise travelers to reconsider booking La Casa Hotel Gwangmyeong through Hotels.com. As a Platinum member and frequent Hotels.com user, I experienced significant discrepancies between the advertised listing and reality:

Misleading \"Serene Mountain\" Claims:
The hotel is described as a \"serene retreat nestled in the mountains,\" but it’s surrounded by roads, an IKEA, and a parking lot. The so-called \"mountain view\" was a partial glimpse from the bathroom window—hardly the tranquil escape promised.

Facilities Require Extra Fees:

The gym shown in photos is part of a separate business in the basement charging 30,000 KRW per day. The hotel’s actual gym is tiny and poorly equipped.

Access to the better facility is restricted to limited hours around classes, which was not disclosed upfront.

No Soundproofing:
Despite being advertised as soundproofed, I could clearly hear staff vacuuming in adjacent rooms immediately after check-in.

Questionable \"Premium\" Room:
My room (supposedly a premium category) did not match the listing’s photography. The layout and views appeared intentionally misrepresented to suggest a more upscale experience.

Additional Issues with Hotels.com:

Platinum Status Ignored: I was charged for early check-in despite being a Platinum member entitled to this benefit.

Poor Customer Support: Hotels.com repeatedly dismissed my concerns, offering only trivial compensation (e.g., OneKeyCash) instead of addressing the hotel’s false advertising.

Hotel and staff were absolutely amazing, had no issues with finding food or transportation. Hotel has a restaurant and a little bowling alley above which I found cute. Check in/out was so easy, housekeeping was so respectful. Only thing we didn’t like was the bathroom (tub) but other than that it was great.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The interior of the place was stunning, showcasing a blend of modern design and cozy charm that made it feel inviting from the moment I walked in. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. I truly love the gift they offered me with a bottle of wine, very kind!

I particularly enjoyed spending time in the terrace garden, which offered a serene escape with its lush greenery and comfortable seating – the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The kitchen staff were equally impressive; they went above and beyond by providing me with extra items like a cozy blanket in case I got chilly.

If you want temporary stay before you take your KTX journey, this hotel offers close location, clean and eco friendliness. Apparently also good hotel to accommodate kids’ vacation ..
The other thing about this hotel is … kinda rude? I never been treated in hotel like this in Korea. When i check in hotel service person required my passport(which is reasonable as I booked the room) but he looked at my guests and started to ask their nationality and demanded our passport. This is something I never heard. I started to ask questions and refused it as I don’t think was necessary, they said it was for safety and threatened me that you couldnt stay if all of us don’t share our passport information..
Weird.
Also no noise proofing at all, i could hear all the convos via vents.
Area around the hotel is restaurant area, especially lot of drinking place with drunk people on the street, it did intimidated my 80 yr old grandma walking during dinner time.
Otherwise they do have water fountain to fill your water bottle. Which i think rare in korea

This hotel was an easy walk from the station (KTX, subway, bus). The hotel is clean and quiet. The restaurant is good. Staff is very friendly. Good english. The rooms are a decent size. Comfortable beds and pretty soft for Korean standards. Bathroom is good and great shower. Would stay here again.

Main draw is convenience, but the hotel is nice for the price and has a good breakfast buffet (both Western and Korean options; 20,000 KRW). Would stay here again. Easy walk to Lotte Mall and many small places for dinner. Spent 1 night here after taking KTX from Busan to Gwangmyeong station. (Wanted to avoid traffic in central Seoul). The next morning took the airport limo bus to ICN from Gwangmyeong station (10 minute walk from the hotel; or take a taxi if you have lots of luggage). Buy airport limo bus tickets at the station--takes about an hour to get to ICN.

Best hotel for a business trip

It was the best hotel for my business trip. It is the first hotel that I stayed with a bowling alley and darts machine. Being a business trip, there isn't much time to travel to other place. So it was perfect.
The room is new and clean.
Also there's the bus stop for the airport shuttle just at the back of the hotel.

So it's by far the best stay of my business trips.

A little Gem of a hotel in Gwangmyeong-si

Location is great. Airport express bus stops @ the Gwangmyeong KTX train station (50min) which is a 10 min walk to La Casa. Stayed for 2 nites. Checking in was a breeze. Nice cosy boutique hotel with modern decor. In room temperature control was good. Not too hot and stuffy like the central heating in the older hotels in Seoul. Had the Green King bed room which was spacious, new and clean. I would have given it 5 stars except the room was not cleaned one morning. Even when I hung out the “make up room” on the door and pressed the green light for “make up room” at the entrance.
One word of caution to those checking in late. The sign at the 7th floor restaurant says opening hours till 2200hr. But when I wanted a meal @ 20:50, the waitress told me the kitchen was closed! Luckily there was a cafe next door still open for sandwiches, quiches and coffee. There’s also a 7Eleven across the road for instant cup noodles for supper!

A cozy hotel near Costco and Ikea. I like that it is on the outskirts of Seoul, so it is much quieter than other locations. The price was reasonable, bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

In my recent work trip to South Korea, I stayed in two hotels - one is La Casa Gwangmyeong and the other one is a famous hotel worldwide. I must say that I was surprisingly impressed with my room in La Casa and I prefer it than the famous hotel. It has a scandinavian design and was clean, comfortable, and warm for the winter weather. The wifi is relatively faster too.
The location is good as there are a lot of coffee shops and restaurants around. There are also IKEA and Lotte Premium Mall just a stone's throw away from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Had higher expectations. 40 min wait for food in the restaurant even if it was not crowded, when the food arrived it was cold. More or less no water pressure in the shower. Only positive thing was that it was close to the location where I was working. Area; not much around.

룸 컨디션이 아주 좋았고, 수건, 이불, 샤워가운도 모두 보송보송해서 만족스러웠습니다. 방도 넓고 가구들이 멋져서 펜션이나 아파트를 빌린 기분이었어요! 욕실에서 보이는 가을의 마운틴뷰가 최고였구요~ 욕조도 넓고 깨끗해서 저녁이랑 아침에 목욕을 두번이나 했네요. 직원분들도 엄청 친절하시고 주변에 식당, 카페, ak몰, 이케아 등 갈만한 곳이 많고 웬만하면 도보로 다 갈 수 있네요. 정말 만족스러워서 재방문할 의사 있어요!!

郊區了些, 離首爾市區有一段路, 塞車約要1個多小時, 搭火車反而會快些. 飯店整體好, 但因浴室門是霧面玻璃, 會有點不方便. 早餐很豐盛, 可以考慮嘗試. 附近有不少商店餐廳, 生活機能算很方便. 能寄放行李.

We stayed here in early november and it wasn't that cold. however, when we entered our room, it was super warm and stuffy so we tried to turn on the air conditioning and it wasn't working -- turns out in fall/winter, hotel turns off the main air conditioning system so even if we try to turn the AC on in our room, it won't. this was a big no for us since we traveled with our soon-to-be 1 year old boy who is very sensitive to being warm (he would cry and won't sleep if it's a little hot).

also, the hotel charged us 33,000won per night for bassinet so we it was a total of 99,000won for total added to our bill. It's unfortunate that they charge for the bassinet whilst most hotels we stayed at did it for free. Even the bassinet was for a small child so my boy was getting out of his bed at night.

anyways, this hotel was clean and all but need some work in amenities and hotel facility care.

깔끔하고 깨끗했지만 룸창문의 블라인드가 부서져있었고 직원들의 친절도는 다소 부족했던 호텔이였다. 체크인할때부터 체크아웃 할때까지 미소없는 말투와
쿠폰설명없이 룸서비스를 사용하다 호텔과 레스토랑은 별개라는 사실을 알게되고 당황했던 기분 상한 상황들..
직원들의 친절한 서비스 마인드가 필요하다.

광명 라까사 호텔에서의 하룻밤

광명역 역세권이라 대중교통을 이용하기에 편하고 찾아가기도 수월하였다. 고객의 취향을 생각하여 다양한 차 종류가 준비 돼 있었다. 옷장의 옷걸이와 수량이 부족하지 않게 잘 구비되어 있었다. 다만 목욕가운이 무겁고 불편한 점이 있어서 가벼운 소재로 되어 있었으면 하는 아쉬움이 남았다.
전체적으로 만족하였다.

체크인, 주차, 위치, 주변 시설 모두 만족 했고, 바닥이 마루인 것도 좋았어요. 와인잔, 머그컵, 찻잔 다 구비된 것도 좋았어요. 체크인 할 때 크롬캐스트 빌려서 티비로 넷플 볼 수 있는 것도 좋았습니다(보증금 내야함). 화장실 문도 투명한 문 아니라서 좋았는데, 샤워부스 안 하구수 청소가 덜 되어 물이 잘 안내려 가더라구요. 하구수에서 머리카락 한 웅큼 빼니 물이 내려갔는데 신경을 좀 써야할 거 같습니다.

비가와서 아침에 상쾌했네요.
큰길 건너 산이라
도로 소음은 다소 있지만
밤에는 조용했어요.

광명역, 이케아&롯데 몰 가깝고
주변에 식사할 곳도 많습니다.
걸어서 번화가 산책해서 안전하다고 느꼈어요.

침구 및 수건과 가운이 깨끗했고,
욕조는 없었습니다.
화장실은 건식이고
아로마티카 다회용 어매니티 구비되어 있어요
친환경적으로 운영하려는 노력이 보입니다.
