Parking was in a shared lot. The pics are deceiving. We tried to get a refund but was told no. The entire experience was horrible. The ac did not work and the hotel staff did nothing to fix it. We asked about another room and was told they were all the same. I would not recommend this hotel. We ended up just leaving and going to the Hilton.

I booked through Expedia and the hotel didn’t send me door codes. There’s no staff on site so I had a hard time getting in the building. I had to call a remote number but the guy who answered did get me my door codes after I downloaded a third party app. All in all, gaining access and checking in was more difficult than it should be.

Rooms are spartan (like a dorm) but clean. There was a hole punched in one wall from a previous guest. No USB ports in the room. No electrical outlets near the bed for overnight device charging.

No in room coffee. But worse than that: no coffee at all in the common area at 6:30 on a weekday morning! Nothing was open nearby. I had to walk down the street for coffee. With the road construction, I actually had to walk in the busy street for part of a block. Fortunately a Chick Fil A was open in a Children’s Hospital five or six blocks away.

I definitely will never stay here again.

Convenient location near medical center. That’s the only positive. I did leave a tip for housekeeping because I suspect that this is a challenging place for them to work.

If you can avoid this hotel, i suggest you do. The staff are very unhelpful they don't even have a phone to reach the lobby. You can hear the room next doors people breathing 😑, lets not mention if your phone run out of battery during night time.There's no way you could enter the building with out the app .

The location is fantastic. That's about where it stops. App to check-in is fine if known in advance, parking still charged us even when we followed instructions given. No sheets on the bed, no blow dryer although we were told there was one and when addressed took hours to get sheets and never received blow dryer. NO COFFEE in the community area the first night. Second day somebody left some keurig pods but only 1 disposable coffee cup was available and it LEAKED! Long hairs all in the bathroom floor that were black (we're both blond so clearly not ours), AC would not cool down and reset to 76 degrees every time we tried to change. Front door broke and wouldn't close letting anyone enter. No staff overnight or early morning to address issues. This place has potential but I would save your money and book elsewhere.

The room was clean and the simplistic vibe was cool. That’s the positive. Here is the negative…no hangers, nowhere to put luggage except floor, parking wasn’t free, one tiny chair to sit in, soap wasn’t stocked in shower, lobby smelled like onions, desk is not manned, keyless entry is a struggle which puts other guests in an uncomfortable position. Would not stay again.

The good: clean accommodations! I love that there is no carpet, because truthfully, carpet grosses me out in a hotel room. Overall it’s quiet and a good opportunity to rest.

Things that need to improve on: 1/2 roll of toilet paper in our room. 2 wash cloths. 3 thin pillows and no extra blanket. The light above our bed was on a sensor, and it took a few hours for us to figure out we had to turn off the light switch near the door. The TV was not easy to figure out, as it took us a long time to figure it out and then it was so slow to change channels, etc. The parking was weird. The app said one thing, but then when we tried to pay for the parking, it was $79 instead of $24. They did allow us to scan a QR code to get to for free, but it expired at 1:30 am and I was so paranoid that our vehicle would get towed.

It’s a contactless hotel, so there is no staff at the desk for direction about anything. There is a number you can call, but it was just a bummer because it could’ve been so much better. Maybe have a list in the room for first time guests that explains everything.

I’ve stayed up n hotels with remote concierge, and I don’t like them. That information should be required to be posted prior to the reservation. To start, immediately had a fender bender in the parking lot. Lot is not clearly marked and shared with several other business. An elderly woman stopped her car in the drive as I was pulling in.

Next, the entrance is not clearly marked. But, we finally found it, there was no way in because you aren’t sent the code until check in. Fine, but early check in is clearly an option with a $40 fee. We found the very nice young man in charge outside who let us in and had our room cleaned early-for which we were grateful. Did I mention check in is at 4 and not 3 as with most standard hotels?
Upon walking into the lobby the smell of gas or sewer overpowered us! The sweet kid told us it was coming from the adjoining restaurant and it would smell that way upstairs. We powered through and went up to find our room which was tied with very thin walls to three other rooms and a lobby that had clearly been vandalized. Paintings missing, chips on the walls, and tons of warning signs about smoking and noise.
Our room was decorated with two posters that were done by teenagers with $10 Walmart frames. Literally. $10 Walmart frames full of stickers.
One plastic desk, one chair and two beds. Outlets don’t work in the bathroom. No additional mirrors, no coffee pot, no fridge, etc.
No rugs. Concrete floors.
Bathroom was equivalent to a locker Room.

You ask about staff, what staff? The bar was empty! The shelves were empty, just a bunch of junk sitting around in what was the bar area. The bed was awful, wasn’t a top sheet, the mattress wasn’t even straight on frame. The room was BOTTOM of the line!!! It was a totally no Frills room. Very glad I didn’t book directly and pay that price, would sure to be asking for refund. The check in proteas a nightmare. Nothing worked as it should, everything had a delayed response and when I called for help, I was treated as if I was too dumb to follow instructions and so it was my fault for the difficulty.

Because we booked through Hotels.com, the check-in process was terrible. I never received an email to get my contactless check-in setup so then it took 25 minutes for me to get in touch with someone and an email to check-in then it took another 25 minutes for the system to generate my keys. The bed was very comfortable, but the room and amenities overall were lacking.

This was a very odd experience. Unlike any hotel I have ever stayed at. There was NO staff. I received an email with a code to get into the room, but no instructions. Just a room number and a code. And no instructions on how to get into the hotel itself. Had to call a phone number posted outside and get talked through. There is an app to download, then you have to enter a confirmation number. You can only share this with one person, so if you hav more than two people staying in the room, they won’t be able to get into the hotel without you.
The room itself was large, clean and beds were comfortable. But no frills. Very sparse. No extra towels, blankets or pillows. No fridge. The hotel itself had zero amenities. No bar, ice machines or vending machines. And again - no staff. If they have any of these items (extra pillows or blankets for example) there is no one present to get them for you.

Air garage is NOT a garage. It is a parking lot. It was icing and snowing and I thought my car would be covered…in a garage!! Hotel is very dark and creepy when arriving at night. Convenience room for guests is on the 4th floor. When we got to the floor it was so dark we had to use a flashlight, walk to the very end of the corridor and when we turned on the lights, there was a guy sitting at the furthest table IN THE DARK! Again, very creepy! There’s artwork on the walls of each floor, some are of skulls and dark themed art. Just not a welcoming feeling of safety when visiting it alone as a female for the first time. Room was clean though.

The heater in my room wasn’t working. All night it was set at 80 but it never went higher than 66 degrees, initially as low as 62. There were no staff on site so no one could come out and look at it, no other rooms available to move to, and no one to bring extra blankets. My lamp didn’t even have a bulb so I couldn’t turn the lights off without getting out of the bed.

The room was clean, but there was only one roll of toilet paper. I’m glad we didn’t run out! The gentleman I spoke with on the phone to check in and out was very helpful. Check in went smoothly because I went ahead and downloaded the GOKI app. The Hotel was in a good location; about 20 minutes from anything we wanted to visit while we were in town. We had the corner king, and it was worth the small splurge for sure. But, there isn’t any staff, so if you do need anything like extra towels etc. you kind of have to make do. It’s next door to a ramen restaurant, Wabi House. It was wonderful but it does get busy for dinner, so we went with lunch instead. If you dine there you get 4 free hours of parking. The parking lot is paid for through air garage, (there is an app for that as well) you can pay a flat rate for the amount of time you’re there, with in and out privileges.

Totally disappointing! Hardly any electrical plugs and no tech plugs no pictures on the walls except a poster over each bed. Beds uncomfortable. Was like walking into a huge hospital room. Way over the top on minimalism. Sliding door to shared balcony was too difficult to lock after we opened it. The blinds did not totally make our room private. Bathroom was awful with No Amenities. No light at the mirror. One light on the ceiling. Oh how we could go on and on. Major echo.

The hotel room lack control of the A/C and could not connect to the tv using phone or laptop. But what ruined the stay was how poorly installed the glass door to get to the balcony since other guests were using the balcony and were extremely loud the glass door did not give me 1 privacy even with the curtains down since cold air was able to seep in and the other guest were playing loud music I was able to hear everything even though the patio door was closed and locked.

I didn't originally receive the confirmation email with the check in instructions and when I tried to call the phone number to contact the property directly, no one ever picked up. I called through the line to schedule a new reservation to ask about what was going on and when they tried to contact the front desk the same thing happened to where no one answered. No one replied to me by email or by phone until an hour before my check-in. When I got into the room the AC and the heater did not work and the Kearns would not go all the way down. Because our room faced the street it was very loud and you can hear the cars outside as if you were sleeping outside. The front disc person was never there as they had previously mentioned and we weren't able to get anything resolved. There were no sheets on the bed and we had to sleep on the mattress pad n

Terrible Acoustics. All sound inside and outside the hotel is amplified. The hotel is near a hospital so ambulance sirens are frequent. You have to download an app just to get in the lobby. Too expensive for what you get. No ice machine, vending machine, washing machine, or breakfast. I paid for 3 nights but I only stayed for 2. I would not stay here again.

Clean Room: Yes, the room was clean, very modern, so modern that the road noise was WAY LOUD and hard to sleep with. The room is so empty feeling that the room on top of us was having a frisky night and me and my 14-year-old heard EVERYTHING, due to echo, until they finished. (good for them bad for us lol). this was our first experience at this type of hotel. I liked the modern aspect of the concept but there were no dressers only one little dinky hanging shelf that looked like it was from Ikea. The curtains that come down for the windows, had a huge gap and since there is a shared balcony I was really stressed someone could come look through the windows. There is only one little lock on BOTH the doors and didn't make me feel safe. There is no staff at the front.
Staff: the guy that answers the phone was very polite.
We did travel 5 hours away and when we got to the hotel at 8:00pm the room was not ready, which was a little frustrating, but he was fast and I only had to wait 15 min.
Parking: right up front and easy, I liked that part
I only tried this hotel because it was right next to the hospital which is why we needed to stay. I probably would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you don't mind any of what I mentioned. it was very pretty and cool but my experience I will not come back to this hotel.

If I could give Hotel Revel zero stars I would.
The website touts the hotel as a luxury location. It’s a disappointing hostel at best.
The amenities listed on the website were nonexistent. We had no mini fridge, blow dryer, steamer or bath robes. These are the things Hotel Revel lists on their own website as expected.
We arrived and realized there was no mini fridge (after purchasing perishable grocery items) we contacted Shelton, the hotel manager. His solution was to move us to a room on a different floor where we could share a community refrigerator with strangers. We looked at the “lounge” which was merely a community kitchen, which contained leftover food from other guests and open sauce pots with cooked food. We declined the offer to switch to an identical room on a different floor.
That evening after showering, we realized there was no blow dryer of steamer. Again, I called Shelton for assistance. He stated that our room didn’t have the promised amenities, but he’d bring them at 8pm. I asked for compensation for the frustrating experience and he had the audacity to offer $20. I declined his offensive offer and asked for a $100 compensation. He agreed, but never sent the refund. He also never brought the promised blow dryer and steamer. He bold faced lied to us.
The housekeeper only came on one night, so we only received new towels once and had to go purchase our own toilet paper.
This hotel is a scam.

Check in was terrible. They use an app for everything, which is significantly less efficient than traditional check in. App smart key wasn’t activated at check in time, so we couldn’t even enter the building to get to the front desk. Some other guest finally let us in so we could check in at the desk. Guest said they’ve never seen a single hotel employee. Not a soul in site - pretty weird. Restaurant/bar is permanently closed. We called the listed phone number and it took about 10 mins to sort out our problem and get the proper “smart key” on the app. Room was kinda cool with the big windows. Bed was comfy. Shower body wash was empty - only had a single tiny bar of soap for showering and washing hands. Parking costs extra. Overall it was a huge, unnecessary pain in the butt. Would 100% never stay again.

The area around the hotel is pleasant enough. There are some restaurants nearby but the road outside is busy and a bit noisy. The hotel furnishings are clean and minimal - lots of concrete and metal - so there is a lot of noise that travels from room to room and from outside.
The check in process required and app and we used that to unlock the doors to the hotel and room. I wasn't expecting anyone there at check in but someone was on site, and he was very helpful and friendly.
The bed was quite comfortable, but we could have used more towels.

The room had a beautiful industrial luxe vibe, which I really appreciated! Unfortunately, there were several drawbacks. There was no microwave, the in-room coffee machine was missing, and the fridge didn’t work.
What really made the stay feel off was the atmosphere throughout the hotel. When I went up to the fourth floor where the patio and kitchen are, all the lights were off—and the same was true for the patio/bar area downstairs. With no staff presence and so many common areas in the dark, it gave the impression that the hotel was partially closed. It made the space feel uninviting and even a bit unsafe, which was disappointing given the excellent views and prime location that deserve to be highlighted, not hidden.
Access to the building was very easy, which I appreciated, but the overall vibe left something to be desired.
Most disappointing of all: I had filtered my search to only show places that included breakfast, so I was genuinely surprised to learn this hotel didn’t offer any—especially at this price point. I had to order Uber Eats for breakfast, which worked out fine, but it was an unexpected extra expense.
That said, if these issues were addressed, I would 100% stay here again. I'm in Dallas often, and this place has great potential.

Weird kind of quiet, but good sleep

Very weird. I've been to staffless hotels before, but this was just odd. It felt empty, like desolate. I literally didn't see another person the whole time. Ammenities were basic and even some showed wear already. If you are staying overnight or just need a place to sleep, it's fine. If you're there to hang out at all I can't recommend it. The bed was comfy and it was quiet, so got what I needed.

The customer service was great from the start. I do wish there was a private parking lot versus a shared with the businesses next to it. I loved the hotel, nice and simple, and different. I do wish it was quieter to where we couldn’t hear the neighbors opening and closing their back doors. I also wish the balcony wasn’t shared with the rest of the hotel floor. The room was very clean and there was so many unique art pieces to look at. The bar was so cool!

If you like alone this is your place.

Very different. If you are introverted this is your place. Keys are through an app. You don’t have to see or deal with anyone if you don’t want to. No amenities really but a nice big bed and a decent shower. Retro modern brutalist atmosphere. I’d do it again.

The road noise was awful… the shared porch meant we were woken up at 1a by people yelling at each other next door and feeling pretty scared. There is no staff at the hotel so the only option is to dial 911. I was approached by a panhandler when I arrived. Overall not a good experience at all. You at least need a security officer. So much sketchiness. Definitely not for solo female travel.

Nice no-frills modern style property, near many conveniences. Friendly & helpful front desk attendant, mainly reachable by phone. Not at front desk full time. My room was on the 2nd floor facing 8th Ave. which was a bit noisy due to traffic and vocal homeless folk hanging out across the street in front of the Subway sandwich shop. One homeless person came out of the dark from between the buildings and approached me when I had checked out in the early morning at 5:30am while it was still dark, even though parking lot is well lit. I'm surprised this section of town has become a bit more intense due to the homeless from downtown migrating this way. Also, walls not soundproof...could hear the couple quite loudly in the room next to mine having sex from 2-4:30am, then staying up talking for the next hour after that.

too minimalist, has potential, but missing the mark, there wasn't anyone to check us in (someone eventually showed up a few minutes later), the parking payment process was confusing, the bar (which is closed and has a ton of potential was closed, but was an open space with a movie showing on a huge screen and completely dark, which created more confusion), the bathroom was huge (as was the room) but was totally open and had very little space for items, there was a cool sitting area right off of the elevator, there were no normal room items--not even kleenexes, i don't recommend staying here

Horrible waste of money.

The hotel is very reliant on technology and apps. The front desk is not always manned. We had an issue with a broken shower head upon getting to the room. I called the front desk for 15 minutes before someone answered the phone. We later saw the front desk employee leave the hotel several times to go next door to a sub sandwich place. There is a no excessive noise after 10 pm policy. That was completely ignored by everyone. Doors slamming shut and people banging on walls from the hours of 11 pm to 2 am. The sound pollution from out side was bad also. We would have been better off spending 50 bucks on a motel. 200 a night is definitely not worth it. Dont waste your money. Find another hotel where they value you and your hard earned money.

Very clean room; the light and windows were amazing! 🤩
The noise factor however, was terrible. We could hear every sound from other rooms. Kept us up until we gathered ear plugs. Also, there is no coffee or tea service in the room, and what was on the 4th floor was empty ☹️
And though the lounge seemed available downstairs for drinks or something, no staff were anywhere to be found. It felt like we were on our own but no sense of it being ok to serve ourselves. The room however was very spacious and clean, bright when the shades were up, and had a cool urban vibe to it!

Automated Hotel - No staff on site

Arrived at the hotel after booking with Hotels.com and tried to use the QR check in (There is nobody at this hotel) could t check in because I didn't get a confirmation code from the property yet so had to call.
I was given an upgrade which was nice, but I'm guessing more because the room I booked wasn't ready.

The upgraded room did not have pillow cases in the room and the pillows had stains - I called the number and was told some would be delivered. They never came so I had to use my t-shirts to make some.

The first night was horrible, since there was no security there were drunk sketchy people on the 4th floor common area literally scream fighting at 3am. The second night there were, again, drunk people yelling and being loud at 2am. You can hear all of this very clearly in the rooms.

I left after two nights of my 4 night stay and never went back. Cannot recommend this place unless you plan on partying the entire time.

There is no front desk hotel staff. We didn’t realize that until we checked in. You use an app on your phone after downloaded, to get into the hotel after hours and into your room. Also watch out because they will slay a $90 parking fee on you, even if you register your car and that’s total for $0.
Extremely loud throughout the night and early morning.
Will not stay here again.

Check-in was easy but there was no staff around at all to answer questions, etc. The shower valve was faulty and we had only lukewarm water to shower with. The remote control for the TV was difficult for us since we don’t have Roku at home.

Not what I expected. It’s basically a cold office space with concrete floors and windows with a bed on the floor. It is so loud and hard to sleep with traffic, ambulances and helicopter noise. You can hear every noise inside the hotel as well. Will not stay there again.

Was hoping to get an early check in. I called and they said that maybe we could get in around 2:30-3. Called around that time and he said no way to get a room till 4. It was fine but the lobby was locked and was stranded outside because the goki app didn’t at least give a temp key or any directions to get into the lobby. When we finally got into the room there were no towels and sheets on the bed. They forgot to bring pillow cases and they had said they would bring them but never did.

Terrible setup. We paid for the night and were not even able to check in to the hotel because the QR code was on the front desk, and we were not given the code to open the doors and enter the hotel to scan it. I tried to call the hotel, but it sends you straight to a voicemail service, and no one is working the front desk. Ended up having to stay in a completely different hotel, and just waste the money I was already charged for this room. They need to have someone working the front desk, or at least answering the phones, overnight. It was incredibly disappointing. And a waste of money.

Wish they turned the bed and gave fresh towels.

1st thing I never like is when there is no person to check you in. You have to download an app. Your room and hotel entry is in the app. Lose your phone and you're screwed.
At first the room looks nice. It's modern and sleek. They admitted they didn't put on pillow covers. No problem. But they never came back to put them on.
I guess they don't clean and straighten your room during your stay. The bed was not made. There were no fresh towels the next day.
No bath soap in the shower.
While the room looks sleek, the floors are concrete I guess. So in the morning and night your feet are COLD. You better bring some slippers or wear socks while walking around.
