Always good to stay here. Staff are very professional and friendly. Food is good. Great breakfast. Good choice for lunch and evening meal. Close to the tourist area if you want to go out for meals. I'm on business so I'm not always bothered about eating out. Beach is right in front down a lot of stairs, so maybe not good for older people. Overall great modern hotel at reasonable price. Good gym also.

Continental Forum hotels, like this one in Constanta, never disappoint as they are generously-spaced properties, with a consistent standard of friendly service and good breakfast.
I enjoyed the spacious room, with tea/coffee (J. Meinl), stocked minibar, free bottled water, individual toiletries aplenty, and very important: many plugs. The bed was comfortable, and the AC worked and was manually programable.
Their breakfasts are dependable with something savory (sandwich ingredients and ommelette / sausage), something sweet (pastries, cereal) and something fruity (fresh and compote) in plentiful quantities in a very sunny hall.
Overall I expected a cozy, friendly and easy stay with everything provided and got exactly that!

I do not like leaving bad reviews but this property was exceptionally unpleasant. The air conditioning did not work in my room at all. The rooms look like they were last updated in the 1990’s and the shower smelled like an open pit toilet.
The silver lining was the the staff at hotel I interacted with. They were friendly, helpful, and genuinely wanted you to have a good experience.
Based on the amazing location, if the owners updated the hotel to modern standards, this could be a 4 even a 5 star hotel. In its current state I would say this is 2.5 star hotel.

We enjoyed our stay, and even if the place is not a real 4 star hotel, the staff was really great, all the people we’ve interact with were really helpful.
Also, the food was good, and we had breakfast but also lunch in there. We had a lot of options for food for kids as well, so all in all a pleasant experience.

Feels a bit like a motel 6. Room is ok—no outlets next to bed, shower not really clean, bath towels threadbare, no toiletries like shampoo-just body soap in shower. The room had space and had a lovely view of Black Sea. Woman who checked us in was nice but we had to wait for some time as they was only one person at reception. One elevator was not working

Location location location close to Otopeni Airport roughly 10 min with out traffic , The Hotel has two restaurants one with international cousine and the second one with more traditional romanian dishes i wish i knew about the second one . Shuttle to Airport runs every hour sharp

Hotel is in a good location. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach, many dining options, Ovid Square and several historical sites. Hotel looks like it has been recently remodeled, however there were a few rough edges on the room - mainly one spot on the baseboard and on the bathroom door, but nothing that affected our enjoyment of the room . Room had a fridge and hair dryer. Cleanliness and customer service were both good. Overall we had a nice view of the Black Sea from our room for a good price.

This is a very good hotel located very close to Constanta beach and the old town. Compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in in the area, this is hard to beat. All staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and the hotel is very clean and modern. It follows the Ibis trend of quality well. The shower was the best I’d had in a while in Romania although it did change temperature quite drastically sometimes but nowhere near as often as the other hotels. If you don’t know Constanta then note that this hotel is not in the Mamaia resort town (which is much further up along the coast). You would want to stay in this hotel if you want a decent, friendly, modern, clean place to stay that is close to the beach, old town, bars and restaurants, and is well connected to the rest of Constanta. There is an Avis rental car desk in the foyer and there’s also a restaurant that had a menu to cater for all. There are other facilities that I didn’t have time to explore. For the price, I cannot complain - the value for money is excellent, so overall I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

The staff was freindly easily understood the needsof myselt and my traveling companion. We got the room we asked for and the hotel was quiet enough to sleep easily in, even thouhg there was a nightclub and a large crowd in the town for holiday. All amenites were provided, and kept up to a good standard, although the glasses were not as clean as I would have hoped. The fridge and safe were all like any 'four' star hotel, which was a nice surprise, and possibly even cleaner. Beds were very comfortable. Linens were clean in the bath as well. Wi-fi worked great, and no problems with ant of the rooms features.

Good choice for seaside vacation and town visit
This is an excellent choice if you come for the beach in Constanta, which is within a short walk from the hotel. Ask for a room with sea view. City center and main landmarks such as the Grande Mosque or the Archeology Museum are also within acceptable walking distance. However for the summer resort of Mamaia one must use public transportation.
The staff is very friendly and tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The AC was broken in the room that I was assigned initially but the front desk staff was very prompt in moving me to a different room once they realized maintenance does not have a quick fix for the AC. Beds are not extremely comfortable but are acceptable. Carpet is old and one can notice stains on it, but it was clean. Breakfast is available for an extra charge, but cheaper options can be found in the commercial city center close by.
Overall, I recommend this hotel for people who want to enjoy both a seaside vacation and visit an old town rich with history dating back to the ancient Greek colonies on the Black Sea.

The Ibis Hotel was located a few minutes walk away from local bars and restaurants and overlooks the main beach in Constanta..
I booked an executive room which are larger than the standard room with free wifi in the room but no Robes or complementary toiletries in the bathroom other than soap dispensers attached to the wall.
For Dinner the restaurant served a limited range of dishes a stay of more than a week would have easily seen every dish sampled but my meal was very good and excellent value compared to most places but on the expensive side compared to normal Romanian prices.
The buffet breakfast which is normally included in the room rate was mediocre although all the options were covered.
The Hotel bar is also more expensive that others within a hundred metres or so and lacks any atmosphere.

We stayed there for 3 nights, the rooms are large and some have sea view. The rooms are clean but the carpets and bathroom are tired. A taxi in Mamaia costs 25RON.

The hotel is clean, generically furnished, well positioned - close to the old center - with a decent breakfast and great view from higher floors, especially at sunrise. The staff is pleasant though summarily trained. Upon my departure, I paid the bill in cash only to discover later my CC was also charged by Expedia for the entire stay (Expedia fixed it after two calls). Although I left earlier (for unrelated reasons), the hotel chose not to charge any cancellation fees. They had also changed my room promptly when I complained about the partial view. Recommended.

We stayed at this hotel on a business trip. We checked in with two rooms which were pre-paid through expedia which included breakfast. The restaurant was closed at 9pm, so we sat in the lounge/bar to eat diner. The service was terrible, there were only two other tables eating when we sat down, it took 10 minutes for someone to greet us and bring us menus, the food was ok, then it took another 15 minutes to get someones attention to get our check to pay out bill. The staff did not seem interested to help any of the guests and really didn't try to accomadate any ones requests. The rooms were not too bad, they were comfortable and the wifi was ok. The main reason we would not use this hotel anymore for business travel is due to the bad customer service all around.
