Clean room, easy check-in, good amenities. Only downside was the shower was a little odd (faucet location and hinged wall gap) and it made it hard to not get water everywhere when showering. The built-in hair dryer also overheated SO quickly, making it nearly impossible to use.

Such a great hotel to stay at when visiting Munich. The hotel is right across from the central train station which makes travel around the city and to the airport very convenient. Historic building with lots of character and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is our second stay at this hotel and it is top of our list when visiting Munich!!

Awful stay, thankfully only for one night. Toliet wasn't flushed in one of the rooms I booked so didn't get off to a great first impression for my other guests. Showers in both rooms didn't work properly and flooded the bathroom floors. Final straw was having dinner in the restaurant and the waiter misunderstood one of our orders so wrong dish came out. Surely not a big deal just change it to the correct one (which was also significantly more expensive than what was served), instead the restaurant manager came over and shouted at us, claiming we were lying - he wasn't even there when the order was taken. Stayed here two years ago and was great, don't know what's happened but won't be back

This was an all around amazing hotel experience! The hotel is immaculately clean and modernized-yet has all of the historic components. Everything was in working order and the entire hotel as well as my guest room was extremely clean. wi-Fi works very well. Showers were amazing with great water pressure. Very comfortable bedding, linens, and towels. And even though it is not needed in the winter, it is a rare thing to have this in Europe,- air conditioning that works year-round!

The location is perfect. It is across the street from the main central station, it is where the airport shuttle bus stops at, all of the tour companies are within a one block radius, there is a tram stop outside the front of the hotel, every tram and underground/subway depart from Central Station so they are also all within one block. There are always taxis waiting outside, there are 24 hour eateries in Central Station, as well as many other dining options within walking distance, including a full-service grocery store located across the street in the Central station.
In reference to the staff - The staff go above and beyond and are always there with a smile ready to answer questions. Mrs. Katherine at the front desk and Domenico, concierge, truly go above and beyond to assist their guests. The level of service and warmth they provide is definitely five star all the way! These two individuals are very proud to work at this hotel and enjoy what they do which clearly shows to their guests.

We stayed years ago prior to renovation. Beautiful hotel, wonderful attention to detail preserving the old while totally updating. Staff was so accommodating that if asked a question they would provide not only directions but hours, etc. Best breakfast ever, eggs, sausages, various bread & rolls, sweets, cheeses, even English, and vegan offerings. Table service upscale with waiters for every whim. Room maintained spotless with complimentary bottles of water replaced everyday. Lovely bar area with roaring fire going and soft music in the background, available for both food & drinks.

Staff were wonderful, kind, and helpful. It is well situated, just steps from all major transport. Unfortunately, I could not rate it higher. Being close to transport is great… until you want to sleep. I had to wear noise canceling headphones in order to sleep as trams seemed to run every few minutes, stopping for only a few hours in the early morning. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a guarantee to be at the back of property or look elsewhere. If you are accustomed to noise, this property is excellent and you’ll not be disappointed.

This hotel was good enough for a two night stay in Munich during Oktoberfest. Nothing special, but nothing to truly complain about either. The photos online do make it look a bit nicer than it does in person. Like it has a nice facade but is of mid tier quality.

What really stood out was the staff. Everybody we interacted with was great. Kudos to them!

The hotel describes the rooms as soundproof and that was entirely inaccurate. I could clearly hear conversations from neighboring rooms and the sound of the any nearby doors closing was extremely loud and disturbing. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.


Despite this, the location of the hotel was hard to beat. It is centrally located to everything and an easy 10-15 min walk. Also, the front desk staff was phenomenal. They were very pleasant and helpful.

Property is very nice. Clean, well-maintained, quiet (with windows closed, of course) and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet.

There were a few maintenance issues but the best thing about this hotel was the location. Across the street from main train station, steps to tram/bus stations and feet from airport shuttle. Walkable to main tourist sites.

Largely had a good stay. Staff were professional and helpful. It was nice to have a full breakfast included daily. Great location with equal proximity to Octoberfest and Marienplatz and other sights.

The location was off the beaten path— on outskirts and across from the main train terminal. The area didn’t have much to offer. The rooms were fine—- definitely not a 5 star hotel by American standards. I’d give it a 3.8

Deceitful booking practices.

Location is great but the booking process is deceitful. If you book a Superior Single room beware: the large double bed in the photo is not what you’re going to get. You are going to get a single twin bed in an attic closet. There is barely enough room for me to spin in a circle without hitting my head on the ceiling/roof.

You would think that upgrading from Standard Single to Superior Single would reflect a large double/queen bed, as shown in the booking photos on their website.

When you toggle between Superior Single and Superior Double, the photos show the same large bed but with either single pillow setting or two pillow settings.

On a better note, the bar staff were very attentive. The front desk staff were sweet too but there is nothing they can do due to full occupancy.

Still not a happy guest.

Oh and the bathroom and shower are a joke, I’ve had larger on cruise ships.

EDIT: They did move me to another room the next morning, representative of the one shown on the website/booking photos.

Wonderful Visit

Staff were super helpful and friendly and the hotel was pretty. Great location(especially for Oktoberfest). Would highly recommend it for tourists. Breakfast buffet was yummy too
