Found cockroaches in my room, they did move us to another room but it felt
Like this was a reoccurring issue. No apology for situation or any comment. Just moved us as if this was a normal problem. When checking in the lady on front desk had a cold manner. Tried to run shower / bath and hot water was very limited. Could hear traffic from
Highway. Beds where hard and furniture and room was very dated.

This was not what the website or reviews stated at all. We got to hotel there was a $200 deposit on top of room price. No where on website did it state this. Then we got to pur room it was so loud from traffic anx other people with door sgut sounded like door was open not even a tiny bit sound proofed. The beds were rock hard. I went to try and get a different room there wasnt even one available. Then the next morning i went to shower and the water was luke warm not hot at all then it turned cold and my kids got a cold shower. There wasnt even warm water in sink. Then we went to breakfast worst vreakfast ever!!!! There was bananas yogurt and two sugary cerels and juuice. It was awful and the worst stay ever. If i could rate it zero I would.

The room was in good condition but the water in the shower did not get hot. When my husband told the person at the front desk about this, the person said to call the manager. That is not a guest's job! Amenities were minimal with no coffee pot/coffee or tea offered in room. Had to go to the front office for a small continental breakfast to go. It was not the most quiet of nights as the hotel is located right next to the freeway. There are a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel and a gas station right next door. It was appreciated that housekeeping made up the bed, emptied the trash and replaced the towels everyday. The bed was comfortable and the heater worked great.

Hello,

We did not have hot water and had to take cold showers. We went to the front desk and were told it was a known problem due to the boiler, and were instructed to let the water run for 20-25 minutes.Doing so made no difference.

Additionally, the TV remote didn’t work, so we couldn’t watch TV, our key card had to be replaced twice, and the room overall felt very run down, smelly, and not well maintained.

Because of these issues, I’m requesting a refund for our stay. Please let me know how you’d like to proceed.

The manager is bumbling. The TV wouldn’t work. I called the desk and he kept hanging up on me so I went down to the lobby where he said he couldn’t hear me on the phone. He told me to push a button under the TV which I did and got it to work counter to his instructions. I walked the entire perimeter of the second floor looking for an ice machine. And there is no coffee maker in the room.

Every time we back to Salinas we stay here and never had an issue. This time we did, it was 10AM before check out time which is at 11AM. I had just gotten out of the shower and changing when room service knocked. I told her we were checking out shortly that we were getting our stuff ready. The lady opened the door which luckily my husband was near the door to stop her from coming in plus we had the lock on top of the door. I was half ways dressed. We were both pretty upset, now my husband is not sure if we will come back to stay here due to this accident.

The hotel room was clean. Carpets could use a cleaning as well as seating. Parking was good. Typical free breakfast items provided. Pool was very clean. Heating and air worked very well. Daily maid service for clean towels and bedding.

This was a drop in stay visitng family in ICU. Needed a last minute place to stay overnight. However when I got inside tried to turn on the TV and realized the remote batteries were dead. I didnt mind too much that aa i was too exhausted to care. I went back to the hospital and came in about 9pm there was other guests playing loud music from their car in the parking lot to the left of my unit. As well as the unit above me had a couple arguing and stompping on the ground for a couple of hours between 11pm to 2am. I had to leave early and checked out at 530am so not a very restful night. Otherwise, the unit was clean, and the air conditioner worked. It would have been more enjoyable if other guests had respect for others or if you had security patroling. Its a rougher neighborhood and you might consider such.

The hotel staff was good. The hotel had very little to none of hot water. And understandably it is not situated in the best of neighborhoods, there was continuous prostitution at night. The majority of the people staying at this hotel were families with small children yet no one in management seemed to care that prostitution was common at night. Extremely disappointed in the environment.

We needed a short place to stay to meet with family at the last minute and we saw that the Super 8 had one of the higher reviews off of Expedia and the price was right. Some of the hallways had flys swarming around not sure if that was because of visitors not picking up after themselves or staff not cleaning the areas thoroughly enough. The unit we stayed in had a sewage smell/old cigarette smell that seemed to come up the bathroom drain. My husband used a cup to cover the bathroom sink drain hole to see if it helped mask the odor and it did. There were scratches on the bathroom mirror. The tv remote control was cracked and could not get the station. We liked the firmness of the bed, the fridge and microwave in the room.

My recent one-night stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing and unsettling for several reasons. First, our reservation was changed without any notice—from rooms with queen beds to rooms with double beds. Even worse, our two rooms were placed on opposite ends of the property, forcing my family to split up, which felt incredibly unsafe and poorly planned.

The room my sisters were given had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it very uncomfortable. Later that night, just after midnight, a man dressed in all black, wearing a mask, and riding a bike came to their door and began pounding on it aggressively. It was an absolutely terrifying experience for them. I immediately called the front desk to report the incident. The young woman I spoke with said she would do a walk-through of the property and inform the manager, but that didn’t bring any real sense of security. After that, none of us could relax or sleep comfortably for the rest of the night.

To make matters worse, the rooms were not soundproof. We were kept awake by constant noise from the second floor and outside throughout the night. On top of everything, the surroundings of the hotel felt sketchy and unsafe. There’s a homeless encampment just on the other side of the fence by the parking lot.

DO NOT STAY HERE.

Wasn’t my best experience. I booked a double bed room and noticed immediately upon entering that there was a large clump of hair on one of the beds. Later on while getting food I noticed quite a bit of police activity, and after going to a food truck less then 200 yards from the hotel, there was a street full of sex workers attempting to flag and stop all the traffic going through. After coming back from the taco truck I was relaxing in my bed when I noticed a white stain on the bed cover. Considering the surrounding area I was immediately disgusted and didn’t even want to sleep in the bed anymore. After moving the cover I slept and woke up with multiple bug bites on my torso elbow and arm and even my back and stomach. Overall will most likely never stay at this place again. I didn’t have enough time to bring these concerns and issues up with management but it was apparent that there was a lack of management as well as employees, with only one at the desk and even then this employee was more concerned about her tv show then the customers. This was not worth the 500+ dollar stay for three nights.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. When I arrived to check in, there was a \"Be back in 15 minutes\" sign on the door. I called the front desk, no answer. When she came back to check me in, she immediately took a phone call. When she finally got off the phone, I asked if I could get extra towels. She said that she would bring them. She never did. I called the front desk, no answer. I texted 3 times, no response. I called again a couple hours later, she made me count every towel in the room, like I was being interrogated. She said that if the wrong amount was in the room, she was going to tell management and get the maid service in trouble! It took 3 to 5 flushes for the toilet to work, Every Time. The towel rack kept falling off the wall. No coffee maker in the room. The cable TV quit working after the first day. We had to take cold showers. I will never stay at this hotel chain again.

My car alarm went off twice at night and I also heard someone else’s car alarm go off. People talked loudly outside at midnight and 2 am, and there were multiple doors slammed. I did not sleep that night and I cancelled my second night due to not feeling safe and not having hot water. Overpriced due to the circumstances.
