Wonderful thermal waters, friendly staff, too hot!

The two big pluses at Çelik Palas are the amazing thermal facilities (some of the best in Türkiye) and the friendly staff we encountered throughout our three-day stay. The main challenge for us is that the room was simply too hot/stuffy - even though it's still warm in mid October, the central air conditioning had been turned off. We opened the balcony door but the road noise is very loud, so it was difficult to reach a comfortable temperature to relax...which is a shame, because the hotel has many excellent features and deserves to be busy - but the room temperature has to be suitable to the unique tastes of every guest.

I chose it for my business trip to Bursa, but I would not recommend it. It is not a spa hotel at all. The thermal pool water temperature was 50 degrees, you can never get in, the water was boiling, the system was broken. I could not use it because it was broken, and the water in the Turkish bath was cold. They were not getting hot either. I came to my room and waited for about an hour for the water in my room to get hot. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it.

Amazing views 5 star service

The hotel is in a great location with amazing views of Bursa city. The staff were exceptionally helpful and professional. The hotel itself is well maintained and spotless. Our suite was clean, spacious, and nicely furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the suite included two bathrooms and a private sitting area with balconies. Room service was quick and efficient. Overall, it was very reasonably priced and offered a true 5-star experience.

This hotel is a joke

We started off with a bad experience in this hotel. They gave us the keys for our room and we found out that wasn’t clean at all. All dirty laundry around room was disgusting. They send ladies to clean while we were waiting in the hallway.
Second night around 1:30 AM we heard some noise and my husband discover leaking from the bathroom ceiling right next to the light. We call the reception and the guy came and said that they don’t have any service to fix that in the middle of the night. We asked for another room and he waited by the door until we pack all our stuff. He give us a little room next to all kitchen exhaust, and all other connectors. It was noisy and smelly. I said that I don’t want to stay there. The guy said that they will get the better room in the morning. When I called in the morning another person was working at the reception, he did not know what I was talking about. So after all explaining and hustling we got “better room”. It was junior suite so outdated that you couldn’t believe you are in 5 star hotel. Wooden walls were greasy and dirty, all facets are about to fall off and water was spraying all around. The tile floor was so dirty, it was just disgusting.
The food was ok, very small variety. Once for dinner we got the wrong order, my husband did not eat since he had seafood rice instead of mushroom rice and they wanted us to pay anyway which I refused.
At the checkout they wanted us to pay “upgraded” room, which I refused.

Perfect stay for business or pleasure

Stayed for 1 night to visit the local area, was easy for us as we had a car but even if you dont the attractions are all together in the centre so just a 5 min car journey away & then everything on foot. The hotel is one of the oldest but has been refurbished & in immaculate condition although the bathroom had a dated bath & would have preferred a walk in shower. İts located high up with views over the whole city & opposite a beautiful park if you like a bit of nature and an Archeololgical museum so perfect location. İt has its own hot springs so definitely bring your swimwear & you can have a hammam experience (this is an extra charge but worth it) You cant visit Bursa & not have iskender & best place for this is in the Botanik gardens-dont forget to wander upstairs to check out the history
Every day at 4pm theres the changing of the guards at the tomb by the clock tower-try to plan your day around this.
Got peckish at around midnight & had the club sandwich, as you can see from the photo it was delivious & more than enough for 2. Would definitely recommend & stay here again.

Sadly it was a disappointment for me. A non-smoking king bed reservation turned out to be a queen bedded room that reeked of cigarette smell. The hotel lobby and corridor has seen better days as well, it seems.

Not all bad though, the staff was very friendly and helpful and were a redeeming quality of the hotel.

The thermal spa was well kept as well.

Overall, I’d rather stay elsewhere next time.

Outstanding hotel, Great views and 5 Star service

Had a fabulous stay at this hotel. Hotel truely offers great views of Bursa, has great Spa services and outdoor swimming pool. Hallway and corridor are spacious and the heavenly scent as soon as you step in is mind blowing. Customer service was extra ordinary (especially Nusrat and Muhammad at Conceirge Desk, they both made sure that I felt at home, very welcoming and gave me good tour of the hotel upon arrival)

@Manager/Owner: if you reading this please know Nusrat and Muhammad are great assets to your hotel. I wouldn't have enjoyed my stay this much without their efforts and passion to look after hotel guests. They truely offered 5 Star service! 👌

Definitely not 5 stars

The hotel was dark and gloomy. We had to change rooms twice, because there were issues with smoke smell in the room and a broken balcony door. The breakfast was especially disappointing - definitely not what you expect in Turkey. And definitely not 5 stars. We liked the thermal pool and spa.

Séjour convenable les voituriers sont très serviables.
Concernant la chambre j’ai été déçue par la salle de bain, la séparation n’est pas très intime. Pour la propreté peut mieux faire car de la poussière sur le meuble TV ainsi que le chevalet. Superficie très bien et balcon agréable avec vue sur la ville c’est top.

Özel bir organizasyon için 3 oda rezervasyon yaptık. 1 oda 2 çocuk ve 2 yetişkin kullanımında iken klima çalışmıyor ve sular çok az akıyordu. Bu durum telafi edemeyip gece 2’de vantilatör bırakıldı. Ertesi gün konuyu öğrendiğimde resepsiyonu aradım ve durumdan haberleri yoktu telafi için hiçbirşey yapılmadı defalarca arayıp destek istememe rağmen çözüm sunulmadı

Girişimiz 2 olmasına rağmen 3'te ancak hazır edilebildi oda. Onda da çocuğumuz için yatak hazır bile değildi. Tuvalet ve banyo kapıları kilitlenmiyor, onu geçtim kapı ile duvar arası boşluk var. Dışardan biri içeriyi rahat bir şekilde görebiliyor. Çocuğumuzla birlikte kaldığımız bir odada kabul edilebilir bir şey değil bu. Aynı gün odada dinlenirken aniden birileri kapıyı açtı. Biz nasıl olur felan derken aynı oda bir başkasına verilmiş. Resmen rezalet bir durum. Oda içinde değerli bir eşyamız olabilirdi. O esnada odada olmamız ayrı bir sorun, olmamamız ayrı bir sorun olurdu. Bir arkadaşımız gün içinde 1 saatliğine gelip gidecekti, tam gün konaklama ücreti keseceklerini söylediler. Kahvaltı ve yemek vasat altı. Kesinlikle pişman olduğum bir yer oldu

Memnun ayrıldık teşekkürler

Odalar eski ancak temiz ve konforluydu. Personel çok güleryüzlüydü her konuda yardımcı oldular. Termal havuzun sıcaklığı suyu kaynaktan çok sıcak çıktığı için baya yüksekti, çocuklar ve yaşlılar için süre dikkatli ayarlanmalı. Yemeklerden de memnun kaldık .Restoranın hemen yanında tüm Bursa’yı gören muhteşem bir terası var . Tekrar gitmeyi düşünüyorum ayrıca çevremdeki kişilere de tavsiye edeceğim .Teşekkür ederiz

Oda da merkezi sistem ısıtma çalışmıyordu ,ilave ısıtıcı verdiler,ancak o da çalışmıyordu .
Bar da servis gece 10.30 da kapanıyormuş 10.25 bar a geldik 10.30 da sipariş vermek isteğimiz de servis tam 10.30 da kapandığını söylediler 5 yıldızlı bir hotel de 10 30 da bar kapanacağını hiç düşünemedim .ayrıca sipariş verdiği de hala saat 10,30 u geçmemişti
