Definitely an older hotel that needs some maintenance catch up but it was clean.
Seemed quiet while I was there, even with what seemed like a pretty full hotel.
Gym was closed.
Breakfast is served from 4-10 and by 8 there is not much left, if anything, so if you’re not an early riser the included breakfast won’t be much of a benefit.

I was hopeful as this was my first stay at this location. Unfortunately the entire room smelt like a dirty ashtray. The overall cleanliness of the facility was a little lacking. Carpet in the halls had obvious wear and were generally dirty. The air conditioning in the room I had did not work at all and a coworker said his was barely functioning.

Building and rooms are very outdated and falling apart. Not very clean anywhere. We experienced extremely loud and disruptive people in the hallways and slamming doors all night long. When we told the staff they just said \"oh, Ok sorry\". The heating/cooling doesn't work at all, no air flow in the room, but on the plus side I had warmish water on my second morning shower which was a nice surprise because the first morning it was cool water. Lastly the breakfast is the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel, even the juice in the fridge was warm. When I checked out and asked for a managers name and email the lady at the desk asked why, so I nicely explained our experience. All she said was sorry and that she was the manager so I didn't need to write an email to the manager anymore. I will be fining a different manager to write to, they need to do better.

Great price. Pet friendly for only $15 extra (paid at hotel). Fantastic air conditioner in the room that works very well.
Plenty of parking. Walking distance to restaurant, two liquor stores, tim hortons, petro, walmart, canadian tire, grocery store and other shops. Theres a paved walking trail behind the hotel that leads to a baseball diamond and then down the hillside toward the river. Nice walk, well groomed grass along the sides of the trail.
Staff are friendly.
The shampoo/conditioner/lotion in my room had all been previously used and were nearly empty. Not sure if they typically refill the mini bottles or if theyre tossed out, either way, the ones in my room were missed. The room was otherwise clean, but it makes you question what other things may have been overlooked.

For a suite, the room was pretty small. The gas fireplace, even shut off, was giving off heat making the room SO hot it was impossible to sleep. There was a potable A/C in the room but it was so loud you couldn’t have it in while you sleep. The pullout bed mattress was awful. The outside of the hotel was so dirty and needing attention. The hall carpets including the elevator need to be clean. The hotel in general is starting to smell like an old dirty hotel. Sad, because this used to be such a nice hotel. The staff was still some of the nicest around.
