It was a good stay! The hotel is nice, the people were nice and most importantly the food was amazing! Dessert was also amazing!!! We got a room that had access to the pool and very near from the beach!! Just please tell the owner to improve the internet access! Only if I was near the lobby it worked, in the room it didn’t worked at all! Otherwise it was a nice stay! I would definitely come back! But fix the wifi!

We stayed in Deluxe Swim up Ocean view and it was the best. All staff from reception to restaurant were very professional, attentive and friendly. They did make us wait till the 3 pm check in time but allowed us to use all the amenties while we ate. I recommend to those who want a relaxing time, its not for those who want a party atmosphere. The buffet food is okay but there are lots of options. I plan to return.

Beach wad great . Too many ataff that didnt speak English and gave wrong informationon.
Key card to room 3 times didnt work and had to wait each time in line which added up to over an hour.
Our room air wasnt working and they did upgrade us which was awesome
Excursions we purchased in lobby was great but told times and took over 3 hours from 630am pickup time yo get to destination due to numberious other stops along the way as well as returnback.

Overall was good minus other issues listed.

NO recomiendo hospedarse en este lugar. Reservé una habitación “De lujo con alberca y terraza” y cuando me entregaron la habitación no tenía alberca. También la confirmación de la reserva decía que incluía wifi y NO hay WIFI en las habitaciones, solo en las áreas comunes y muy lento. Al ir a recepción a aclarar eso fueron muy groseros y no me solucionaron. Al llamar a hoteles.com para que me apoyaran en conseguir el tipo de habitación que pagué, nunca les respondieron. Además los meseros atienden mejor a los extranjeros. Pésimo servicio

Beach was very clean we stayed for 3 days the food was not the best and one night the chicken was under cooked . The biggest issue was you had no Internet in the room so the tv would not work and if you tried to use your phone it would not have signal in the room you had to go to the front lobby other than that location of the hotel is amazing. It’s not far from downtown amenities.

This review is not based on our onsite stay because we never entered this resort. We researched and planned on staying at the Flamingo BUT when we arrive, we were told they did not have a room for is based on some issue at the resort so we were sent to a different resort 20 minutes away. We were not given a heads up in advance and had no choice in the matter. Many others were in the same boat and although we contacted Expedia about this issue and our dissapointment, we were never compensated appropriately. We are very frustrated with Expedia and the Flamingo. Would not recommending booking athe Flamingo...

First off, let me say the beach was amazing! Always clean!!!

This is an older resort however you can really tell that they are really trying to keep up with it… the resort is on the small side, there are two pools; one main and then a more secluded one that overlooks the beach…. There are plenty of chairs and cabanas however, you need to get up in the morning and make sure you can secure your space for the day…

We always found something to eat. They have a main buffet a specialty restaurant called the albatross which is down below and a pizza place up by the second pool that is a MUST!!! food options were somewhat limited, but we never had any problems finding anything that we liked.

The rooms are older and yes, they do need some repair, everything was in working order and we had no problems during our stay. There are no ceiling fans in the rooms so we did end up purchasing a small fan. The AC worked perfect and was always cold. My only complaint would be is that the pillows are lumpy and uncomfortable, but the bed was amazing. Linens were always clean and room was made up daily.

Lobby area was clean, bustling, and busy with excitement.

There is a swim bar, a bar by the pizza place and a bar in the main lobby… there is nobody walking around asking drink orders so you are on your own to get up and get what you need. The drinks were good and plenty full and kept us satisfied.

The resort was perfect for a little beach getaway!

The pool water is very cold but the main issue on this resort is no WiFi access where all the guest complained and stated they will not return because of this issue. I noticed that additional
Prices that was not included in the all inclusive started from $100usd including the excursions if you wish to do which is severely over priced. They often try to tell you they have free offers but it’s not as along the line they ask for your card details which is not necessary if it’s a free offer they are promoting l. The hotel charges $1000 México pesos which is around $65usd / £43gbp per hour for late check out. Which is horrendous I even seen guest arriving early from around 2 hours and refused to give them the room early without them
Paying these fees and I know rooms was available if they wanted to as I had checked out I feel
Mexico is a place where they exploit tourist financially and demand tips by having everything written on each document you sign or see in taxi services almost like a mandatory charge rather than a choice and often expect high tips starting from $15-+usd for literally simple things like helping you get a bag out a car or just giving you information or even having a conversation. It’s just ridiculous and quickly becomes expensive by day 2 of your stay.

This is a very quiet resort, so if you’re looking for a resort with a lot of entertainment, sports bar or anything open past midnight, you’ll likely be disappointed. Great location, easy to get around Cancun due to its central location on the hotel strip. Lots of great places to visit in walking distance or the by taking the city bus. Ocean view rooms are worth the upgrade. Beach is beautiful, but get up early to get a cabana or lounge chair. You can walk safely along the shoreline in both directions. Property was very clean and well maintained by staff daily. Pools are small, but do the trick, however not many places to sit around the pools, so hopefully you’d rather be at the beach. Don Roberto’s pizza was the best option for lunch, but lots of good food options at the buffet as well. No reservation needed for the à la carte, I’d recommend the steak. Overall it was an enjoyable stay, comfortable bed, clean smoke-free property and very friendly staff.

i was upgraded to an ocean view which was nice, but throughout the duration of my 3 day stay, my room didnt get cleaned once. i even came back to the \"do not disturb\" banner hanging on my door once, which i didnt put there. seemed like they just didnt feel like doing it. the bellboys and front desk staff were very easily distracted with each other, and sort of condescending during the day of my check in. my room that i got upgraded to had a very flimsy shower temp, it would constantly switch from scorching to freezing without me changing it. other than that, the rest of the staff was friendly, the amenities were good, and the overall stay was good too.

This is a smaller property than we’ve ever stayed in before but came down to celebrate a birthday with friends and fit our budget needs. Only a buffet, pool side burgers/hot dogs during certain hours, pizza spot, and one restaurant. The food at the restaurant was decent to good for an all-inclusive mindset. The buffet food was not as good as we would have expected. The pizza spot with oven if cooked right, decent and good flavor. There is no gift shop/store on property but there is a store right across the street. Pool areas small so get your bed/lounge chairs at 7am. Staff overall was wonderful everywhere. GREAT and reasonably priced massage. For people who bring their own cups to fill at the swim up bar, they will not fill them so you will have to order a couple at a time. Beds were comfortable. Some black mold seen above shower.

Our ocean view was beautiful, offering a clear and relaxing sight of the beach that made our stay even more enjoyable.

The WiFi is terrible and we don’t even have wifi for the past 7 days. The shower is terrible as well, it happens couple times during the shower and water was terminated or change to cold water. I have asked for room services and get wait for about 1 hour. All snacks/bars closed before 6pm. There are only 2 restaurants actually, one is buffet and one formal restaurant. My experience at Flamingo hotel was horrible and it ruined my vacation.

We were in a walk out terrace room. Thankfully, this room comes with 2 chairs on the pool terrace. There are 5 beds at this pool and they are claimed well before 5 am, the other pool has very few chairs and they were claimed that early as well and people DO NOT move there stuff all day long. Seating is a major issue. Food was our other down side. The food was okay, not anything that was wonderful.

We paid extra for an ocean view room and received one only having a view of palm trees, it was nice but now what I paid for. The wifi and service should be upgraded as we had no wifi in our room. The room service is advertised as 24 hours but doesn’t open till 6pm and closes at 10. The food variety was limited and the food that was available wasn’t available all the time. The resort was nice and the beach was kept clean and was fun, the employees are very respectful and I have no issues there.

Great hotel. The staff were accommodating, friendly and the food was great. The beach front was beautiful with the cabanas. However, the lounge chairs were in very little quantity. The hotel activities were fun. I suggest they improve their wifi range. It’s only available on common areas but still a little laggy at times. It would be great if the wifi was accessible to the hotel rooms. Also their TVs do not stream any channels. Aside from those minor inconveniences, we had a wonderful time at Flamingo Cancun.

We stayed here for 7 days, and I honestly have nothing to complain about. According to the staff, the building is already 20 years old, but in my opinion it’s still in very good condition—well maintained and always clean.

The resort gets busy during meal times. There are two restaurants: one buffet and one fine dining. There’s also a snack bar, a pizza area, and a burger area. Most of the guests are families and seniors.

There’s no nightlife here. By 11:00 PM, all the bars are closed, so the nights are really quiet and relaxing—no loud music, just peaceful surroundings.

We booked two rooms: one on the 3rd floor with an ocean view, and another one closer to the pool area. The resort is very close to the beach—only about a 3-minute walk from our room, and you’re already there.

We always left a tip in the room, and the staff consistently did a great job. Our room was cleaned well every day, and the fridge was always refilled with Coke and some beers.

Overall, it was a very relaxing and pleasant stay.

The room was not as pictured on the website as a 'lagoon' view. The room faces the very loud and busy highway and you cannot see the lagoon for the derelict building that stretches the length of the hotel. Staff were able to move me to a room on the other side of the building the next day as the traffic was too loud to sleep.

The staff were lovely and helpful.

The hotel did not seem to be ready for the influx of guests as there was painting and renovating occurring throughout the hotel. There were also brand new staff everywhere that did not know the facility or procedures. Sounds like the hotel has changed management and is going through personnel flux.

There are not enough lounge chairs at any of the pools for the number of people in house. Guests go out early in the morning to claim their chair for the day. Some legitimately use the chair throughout the day and others do not. So unfair to other guests.

We had a great stay at Flamingo Cancún! The beach was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were great! Even decorating our room for our anniversary! The drinks were amazing as the all inclusive package included branded spirits which I haven’t come across before.

Only a few minor issues with the rooms being a little dated/ broken. Our tap in the bathroom fell off sometimes when showering. As well the wifi was incredibly slow. So if you are needing to do work while away I wouldn’t recommend. However was nice to disconnect!

The food was alright… not much selection and got a bit repetitive after a few days .Also the buffet didn’t label very well… so wouldn’t recommend if you have dietary restrictions.

However, overall it was an amazing holiday! And for the price it was an incredible experience! Would visit again.

I had high hopes for my stay at Flamingo Cancun Resort, especially since I called 3–4 weeks in advance to confirm that my room would be properly accommodated before arrival. Unfortunately, my experience did not match the expectations that were set.

Upon arrival, I was not welcomed with the advertised drink, which was a small detail but set the tone for the rest of the stay. More concerning, my confirmed room was not available. Instead, I was placed in a downgraded, outdated room that did not reflect what I had reserved or prepared for.

The pools and hot tubs were also very cold throughout the stay, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the amenities. On the second night, I was moved to a different room and was told I would have access to a butler. However, the butler did not answer calls, which made that upgrade feel meaningless.

Overall, the experience lacked the level of service, communication, and follow-through that was expected. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve consistency between what is advertised and what guests actually receive.

The hotel is genuinely nice: clean and well-maintained. The staff were always friendly, but the service was very slow.
Room service is a joke. When you can get through, expect it to take 45+ mins and arrive cold. \"You are not our only order\" I was told when I phoned to follow up.

The pizzeria is great, though.

When we arrived, our family room was not ready, and we were \"upgraded\" to a room with a sea view, but that meant my kids had to share a bed. The phone in that room did not work, and it took three days of repeated trips to reception to get a resolution: move to ANOTHER room.

The rooms were cleaned every day as you'd expect, but sometimes only in the early evening! The coffee/fridge was not always restocked. The coffee pot was not always cleaned. One morning I found the dried up coffee from the previous morning. Yuck!

On our first day, we had lunch at the Albatros restaurant, which was sub-par. drinks took ages and my wife's \"paella\" was just a pile of rice with one mussel and one sad shrimp.

WIFI is fine close to the lobby, but spotty everywhere else. In the room, I found it was fine ONLY if I sat on the edge of the bed nearest the door. Everywhere else: nada.

You'll be hounded daily by a guy offering free massages in exchange for a sales presentation.

On the last day, the barmen at the pool bar were more interested in chatting up some Spanish-speaking ladies than serving me.

So it's a nice hotel, but it could be so much better.

Tv mostly Spanish but did have one English movie channel, it is a smart tv so Netflix etc accessible but Wi-Fi not great but it does work although keeps dropping out. I was initially in a standard room but all standard are road side and noisy so I upgraded for a small fee to an ocean view room which was perfect. All inclusive buffet was ok, never hot though only ever warm. All staff were always super friendly and accommodating, nothing was ever too much trouble. The whole hotel and grounds were very clean and staff always busy cleaning including the beach areas. Overall I would recommend this hotel

My family and I recently stayed at the Flamingo all inclusive hotel in Cancun. We were a family of 8 adults and we rented four rooms. One of the rooms needed to be changed because the air conditioning was not working. We also had issues in my deluxe ocean front room (clogged sink, clogged shower drain, curtain to the balcony did not close all the way and after maintenance came to repair it, it did not open at all and some of the room doors did not close all the way and this is a security issue which really needs to be addressed.) The hotels wifi was not very good at all. In the hotels defense, they did change two of the rooms and upgraded them, but even with the upgraded rooms there was still a lot of deferred maintenance needed and that cannot be a coincidence. When you pay for ocean views and ocean front rooms, you expect the quality of the rooms to be at a certain standard which was not the case. I would've preferred to pay more money and get a better hotel with a quality stay. The location of the hotel and the beach was great. There were a few employees like Lizardo the concierge who helped us with our issues, Edgar at the front desk and Yocowchi the food server was great and very attentive. These few employees helped to make a big difference. Sorry to say, but I would not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone. I would really like to see the hotel be operated better and be taken better care of. Best wishes, JC

This was our first time staying at an all-inclusive resort, and we were a bit unsure of what to expect, but Flamingo Cancun completely won us over! We traveled with our 3-year-old son for a 3-night stay, and we are already planning to come back.

The Room: We had an ocean-facing room, and the view was absolutely stunning—waking up to the blue waters and the beach every day was a highlight.

Amenities: The pool setup is fantastic for families. There are four different pools, including a dedicated kiddie pool which we used a lot. There is also a beautiful expansive pool that curves through the property and one right by the beach. speaking of the beach, having it right in front of the hotel made everything so easy.

Food & Staff: We mostly stuck to the buffet, and the food was excellent. There was plenty of variety, but we especially enjoyed the delicious local Mexican dishes. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

If you are looking for a worry-free family vacation with great views and service, I highly recommend Flamingo Cancun!

Hotel is dated and there is work being done on the property next door. So lots of noise mid-day. Service at the buffet, Italian restaurant, and lobby bar is great. Pool bar and pizza spot are not very welcoming. Lots of beach space and great water location.

They changed our room when we first checked in, for a reason I couldn't understand. Apparently we got an upgraded room which was on main level with a pool. It was very nice but I couldn't see the ocean because of trees and beach chairs. The room's AC didn't work and we woke up damp because it was so humid with a strong smell of mold. They did put us in a new room which was similar and it was nice. However, they should use dehumidifiers as our room was so cold. We could only have it set at max 19 degrees which is too cold otherwise it got too humid if we brought the temp up. Staff were courteous but a little inconsistent with info we were given. The buffet was great and I enjoyed the food. The entertainment was not good at all. The resort was a little too small for our liking. The beach was amazing but we had to get up super early at 7am to reserve one of the beach beds for later. I liked how the rooms were named after famous writers. We hated the air freshener in the main lobby and lobby toilets, couldn't breathe properly it was so powerful. Overall, it was ok but I expected ocean view because that's what we paid for. There were a lot of locals and kids at the main pool area and it was a bit much, never enough beds to lay on. The entertainment was tailored to locals and not variety of people and it was almost non existent. We were very bored. Some bartenders didn't have great English so it was a little frustrating when ordering drinks.

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. The ocean view would have been awesome except it was blocked by all the palm trees. When you stepped out on the balcony you couldn’t see the beach or the ocean. We were on the 4th floor and we had reserved the premium ocean view deluxe room. The view of the palm trees and coconuts was very disappointing. We were expecting to see the beach and ocean. Everything else was fine. The food selection could have been better. They served pretty much the same food every day. If you liked to drink alcohol then you would be fine. They had plenty of bars that would cater to you with plenty of alcohol. If the palm trees weren’t blocking the view of the ocean and the food choices were a little better then I would rate this hotel a 4 or 5 star hotel.

Nice place to stay with a clean and beautiful beach. The overall environment was very relaxing and well maintained. The food was tasty and well prepared; however, the menu felt a bit repetitive. Adding more restaurants and a wider variety of food options would further enhance the experience. There were some Wi-Fi and internet connectivity issues during our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this resort to others.

The rooms were great! We had a swim out room and it was beautiful. The hotel staff was courteous and professional. We felt very safe.
The food was great and we felt the options were good for a smaller resort.

A few suggestions- more loungers around both pools. The beds are a little much.

Loungers on the beach- again, the beds are a little much.

Repetitive music. It’s a lot and it’s too loud. I get the chic boutique vibe, but the music needs to be changed up. I heard the same song every day 100x.

More seating at pizza restaurant and snack bar- people were turned away when they wanted to eat because of no tables- allow eating around the pool area.

All in all, we had a great stay! The Christmas party was fantastic!

Excellent location right on the beach. Room faced the Ocean view and pool down below. Brekky server Yacowchi was absolutely the best. Made up a going away dessert plate for us. Buses out front for day trips to Chedraui for some extras. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. 3 weeks off in in the sun.

The hotel was clean, beautiful and the service was excellent! The food was good and the pizza restaurant was fabulous! The beach area is breathtaking! Very nice hotel with a small intimate feel.

My only suggestions would be to add loungers to the beach area.

Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!

Loved staying here, will definitely come back and visit them. Beach access is awesome, I think we spent a lot of time in ocean and beachside due to this. My only concern was the lack of wifi strength in rooms and around the property, but besides that no reason for anything to complain. They also have their own parking area behind a gate, so that was reassuring knowing the rental car will be safe. Staff is excellent, everyone saying Hola with a smile. Cant go wrong with this place, highly recommend

Hotel is decent. The two missing points for me to rate it excellent are: there were towels missing almost every day after room cleaning, needed to ask and wait to have them; coffee is available either only in the resto, not the best quality, or to buy for extra cost at Starbucks, no coffee at the bars. I don’t like Starbucks and need my coffee through the day so I’m not coming back for this reason. The rest was good.

Dining room staff is very unorganized and lazy, no coffee service, lady just standing there as if she’s guarding the coffee table instead of serving.
Plus the room was way too cold, saw way too many people wearing their winter coats while eating.
Coming to a warm climate country we want warmth and nor a freezing air conditioning blowing on us.
The other thing was the senty smell when coming into the lobby, way too strong, some people actually had their noses covered with there shirts while walking through it.
Only good thing was the cleaning lady’s that cleaned our room did a great job.
AND NO WE WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE

Os funcionários são muito educados, inclusive fui muito bem recebido no check in.
Quarto é excelente.
Agora uma crítica severa e que condicionou a minha avaliação é o wifi, ele so funciona na recepção, hoje em dia um resort não pode ficar sem wifi excelente, eu já fiquei em alguns hoteis em Cancun, tem hotel que pega o wifi até na praia, e para mim isso é fundamental, eu estava no quarto precisando resolver algumas coisas de trabalho e od meu voo que foi alterado e não conseguia.

We were skeptical about staying at this hotel based off the reviews. But we were pleasant surprised. Amazing staff, very clean property, great food, wonderful ocean view. 4/5 stars simply for the fact that there was no wifi in our room which meant that we couldn’t even use the TV when we wanted to relax at night. Also, we had an AC leak in our bathroom that dripped all day and night. Also, our room phone didn’t work. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!
