The private beach was wonderful and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was standard buffet fare and was good but the food from the menu was broadly flavourless. The first night there we dined at the restaurant and ate elsewhere for lunch and dinner thereafter.
There was a sliding glass door in the gym that would not close so many mosquitos made for an unpleasant workout. Again, the staff was fantastic.

The Fairhouse Resort exceeded our expectations. Our room right on the beach blew our mind and we thought great value for money compared to many other nearby properties. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming.
The included breakfasts had great selection and the restaurant over looking the water was an ideal way to start the day.
The pool area and food and bar service were spot on.
Could not be more happier with our choice of hotel.

We arrived quite late and was given a villa up quite a large number of steps. Not very good. The next day they moved us to a ground floor villa with an upgrade. Wonderful. Beautiful place. Beautiful people. Wonderful food. And a big shout out to Senna on reception.

The first room we checked in was very dark but they were nice enough to change it for a better room. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and the restaurant facing to the ocean is lovely. The hotel is located away from the town but provides shuttles to fisherman’s village and Chaweng night market conveniently.

Lots of stairs. Seemed a bit rundown. But overall its very nice. Maybe not a 5 star but definitely a 4 star. The property is very big and on a steep hill. The hotel has golf carts and will pick you up and drive you to the restaurant or front desk reception area. They come quickly and is convenient. We enjoyed our stay

Really great and lovely beach front resort/hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here. The beach is quiet with plenty of loungers. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and were always smiling. We stayed in the Grand Deluxe Bungalow rooms at the bottom of the resort by the beach, and these rooms were a great location next to the beach, pool, bar and breakfast. The hotel is on a hill but the staff were more than happy to collect you in a golf buggy to go up to reception to exit the hotel, so you don’t have to walk it. Would recommend and return to this resort in the future.

Half way between Lamai and Chaweng Beach. For 100 baht you can catch a tuk on the main road. This is the nicest place out of 10 resorts that I stayed at on Koh Samui. Only negative, the cottages are quite a ways into the resort, but they do have staff with carts to assist you.

Great resort, great staff. The transport van is VIP for a fare price. One thing I noticed but can't confirm is a little hustle at the onsight scooter rental. The price is fare for 24 hours, about $10. They are on island time for sure but when you call they answer and eventually come to the desk.
The hustle as I see it is this:
They rent the scooter with no gas. Option to buy gas on sight is more expensive than a gas station but it's convenient. Go to a gas station, fill up and ride around the whole island without using half a tank. Bring the scooter back. I think they drain that gas out to sell to the next customer. To me, that's just business. It's funny to me and smart of them. We are talking about a couple dollars. No scam a all. Just business on an island in Thailand. Great customer service. They didn't take pics of the scooters on departure or return. I assume they know if the driver comes in without a Samui tattoo they know the scooter hasn't been crashed.

Pool was great, bartenders were awesome. Guy from Myanmar was great. Breakfast was full on legitimate buffet style. The few meals we had after breakfast were fine. Never had any issues on site what so ever.

I'd love to go back.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was big and airy, the bathroom modern, bed comfortable and room kept clean by housekeeping. We loved the beach, it’s cleanliness, size and the clear, calm water in which we swam every day.

The buffet was nice, the coffee there was excellent. The hotel was near restaurants outside the property whete we could go for non-touristy food. The property was not blasting music all day and we were able to be on a part of the beach where we didn’t hear the bar music. At night there was audible music from our balcony ( the balcony was great) but they turned it off at a decent hour.

The staff were super fast with the cart to take us to the beach or reception area (we were up on a hill with a fantastic view worth having to use a cart)

All in all a wonderful stay. Would go there again. Very relaxing.

The experience of Fair house was amazing. When we were booking the hotel we were not sure due to the star rating of the resort. I feel the resort is great value for money. Its right on the beach, we were accommodated in a family room facing the pool and the beach was hardly 2 mins walk from our room. The hotel even has a beach massage service where you can relax. The food at the restaurant was also of good quality and delicious. The breakfast was 5 star there was almost everything you need and the staff was very helpful asking us to bring anything if there is anything missing or if there is any special request. The only downside was the wifi and language issues where some of the staff members are not able to understand the requirement.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. For just a 3 star hotel, the breakfast was excellent, the pool area and grounds where very well kept and pleasant. The room size was pleasantly surprising. The service in general was a very pleasing one and we loved the location - walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Good value for the money but check rooms

The area was great, quiet and nice. Very beautiful beach and nature, and some great restaurants just around the corner. The service was outstanding, staff was always friendly and helpful. The rooms are very typical Thailand which is a nice experience too.

On the other hand, even if the room and balcony was amazing we had some troubles with ants. We asked to change our room which was no problem but unfortunately still had a lot of ants in the new room. Another downside to the resort was perhaps the restaurant which looked nice but the food was not that great, advice all visitors to go to other restaurants nearby or just take a taxi to Chaweng for dinner. The breakfast though was great, what you can expect.

Finally, the athmosphere at the resort was super nice and the venue was beautiful with a lot of green and plants. Gym was good! Overall good value for the money.

Overall stay was good. Staff were friendly. Very warm welcome. The location is very good. We really had a great stay. We just wanted to checkout a bit late beacause our flight was at 3.20pm. And just for 1 hr we dint want to walk here and there as we had our 3 year kid with us but we werre told that there is another guest coming in the same room. That was little thing. But overall its teally a good experience. We would definitely come back whenever we visit Koh Samui. Thank you Fairhouse team for making our stay very memorable.

Had high hopes for this hotel given its rating and the room location next to the beach. First our room was old and dated. The hotel staff did not understand English very well. Compared to other hotels we stayed at the last month it was a real problem. Lots of mosquitos. In spite of lathering on repellant my wife and I got multiple bites. The pool area was not relaxing due being overrun with lots of kids being kids. It’s a long walk uphill to get to the road. All the upper rooms have a lot of stairs all without any hand railing. The food was unappealing with the breakfast buffet boring and uninspired. The exercise facility is up a steep hill and a lot of stairs.

Our least enjoyable of the 6 hotels we’ve stayed at so far.

Our family room was in the main building (there are several buildings) which is a a steep hill. Hard walk up from the beach or from the lobby. However, there are golf karts you can order, and they will save you the walk.
Once you are in the main building, there is no elevator, and there are stairs, and depending on which floor you are (4 stories), it can be a challenge. Not for elderly people or people who cannot climb...
It's not a bad hotel - just make sure you are in a room nearest to the beach or not in a high floor.
Other features : room is clean and comfortable, staff are very nice and polite, food is good, beach bar makes great drinks, and the beach is fantastic, private white sand, and have lots of sunbeds.

Its a Good secluded resort close to Chaweng

Booked a superior room through Expedia and was finally guided to a terrible location of a room on the third floor( no lift) (I have a three year old)extreme corner with a balcony overlooking someone else's..What!!!! The hotel staff mentioned all the other 40 + rooms were sold out..so I was given that one..After some argument..I had to pay an additional 3000+ baht to move to a premium room building on the first floor..The room had a huge balcony without any chairs and table, and ON requesting was placed..I would advice all people booking to be sure to book on the ground or first floor of the Superior or Premuim Buildings and make it very clear with the staff before finalising your booking..
I hope the staff become more professional and and pass on more transparent information..
Else, great location, great massages, private beach, average restaurant food, good maintenance staff

Best swimming beach!

The hotel property is very beautiful and large. The room was huge. A nice king size bed. The room and bathroom felt a little dark, but other than that no complaints about the room. Nothing fancy but comfortable. We loved the breakfast and you can eat with a view of the beach. Got mani-pedi at the massage hut by the beach. Our absolute favorite part was the beach itself. One of my favorite beaches I've been to for swimming and enjoying the water. The sand is so soft and the water is so clear and calm. There are no rocks or sea creatures just white, soft sand. We could have stayed in that water all day. Would go back here just for the beach!

Clean and Comfortable 3 star on a great beach

This resort is a bit of a surprise. It is set well back from the road so is quiet, although a longer walk if you don't use the transfer buggy. The rooms are a little older, but neat and clean- but who wants to spend much time in the room on this beach! (and in Koh Samui)? The staff are attentive and quick to solve any problems.
This is a 3 star hotel not pretending to anything else. Well done.

This was the 6th time to fairhouse, last time was 2012'A lot of the staff have changed, seem to be a lot of young inexperienced staff now.the housekeeping in the rooms was not what it used to be a quick bed change and sweep out was about it,towels were not changed some days and we had the same beach towels for 3 days, if you called reception they said someone would be there right away but no one came, you had to go look for someone.the room we were in, a grand deluxe, the bathroom tiles were filthy all round,we have never seen this in the past years, the rooms need upgrading.

The phones weren't working through the hotel and it was a decent walk from reception to the room and to the pool and lots of steps up.
It rained for a few days so if we wanted room service or talk to reception we could only walk in the rain
Bars Taff not awesome and cocktails were a waste of money.
Gym was closed up and lights off and there were renovations around d the gym and second pool making it not pleasant to use.

None of this was made clear to use until we had checked in

The staff...

The staff here are all unfriendly and will not greet you at any time. I guess they are not educated on that.
Our door to the balcony didnt open. Shower faucet went wild and they dont have handsoap, conditioner, toothbrush, hand towels, face towels.
The staff at the bar sold us a beer on regular price when it was happy hour. Every time we ordered a drink, we basically had to say it ourselves that its happy hour rate.

Great location on such a lovely beach. Although we noticed more rubbish on the beach than two yeas ago. We had a big beautiful room. The cleaning lady was lovely. She came to say good bye to us when we checked out. Good breakfast. Great garden which is like a mini jungle. Quieter n nicer than the next door Chaweng Beach. We had a great time.

A great place to stay in South Chaweng

The hotel was much as it was rated by people in your reviews which were extremely helpful. The wifi reception was poor in our room during our stay was corrected by adding an antenna on our last day at the hotel. Our only problem was that the ocean at the hotel's beach front was always quite rough which made swimming difficult. From what we were explained this has much to do with the beach location of the hotel. Had we known that the water was so rough we might have chosen a quieter beach front.
Otherwise we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the hotel facilities.

Bungalow was ok, however even if we stayed for 7 nights they gave us a bungalow which was 4 m from construction works, which over time was quite a hassle. Beach is ok, and restaurant also. Slightly inconvenient to walk to main street as you need to go through the reseption area. Also no service at the top pools by some wierd reason.

We loved Fair House!

We are a couple, 25 and 30 years old. Our bungalow was situated behind seaside bungalows so it was very close to the beach. Bungalow was clean, big and very nice in all way. And with AC.

Fair house is situated on chaweng noi which was perfect for us. The beach was quiet with just some local sellers and quests from the hotel so we loved it! At night we went to chaweng to shop, eat and drink and it costs just 100 baht with tuktuk! Chaweng is very noisy so it is worth it to pay tuktuk home because fair hoyse is quiet in the evening.

Service was very good and staff was helpful and professional. Three days a week they had a thai-buffe on the beach, romantic!:) they have massage, sun chairs, two swimming pools which were clean. Surrounding around the whole resort is very beautiful with all the trees and flowers. Basicly everything you need to get a good accommodation!

Veldig fint område og umiddelbar nærhet til stranden, men vi er dessverre ikke fullt så fornøyd med oppholdet vårt ellers. Rommet var skittent, frokosten var dårlig og lunsj og middag helt ok. Drinkene fra baren var stort sett dårlige, selv om noen av bartenderne lagde gode drinker. En i reisefølget vårt hadde cøliaki, som de ansatte var veldig flinke til å hjelpe oss med etter at vi adresserte det noen ganger (selv om vi hadde sendt mail om dette på forhånd). De fleste ansatte snakket ikke så godt engelsk, så det var ofte vanskelig å kommunisere. Stranden og bassengområdet var fint.

Das Personal im Speiseraum folgt nicht wirklich einem Konzept. Es fehlt wohl ein Oberkellner, der eine gewisse Ordnung in den Ablauf bringt.
Trotz genügend Personal, teilweise schon eher zuviel, kam es in 14 Tagen eigentlich täglich beim Frühstück zu folgenden Vorfällen.
- es fehlten jeden Tag Teller, Gläser
- es fehlte der Überblick über nachzufüllende Speisen
- Tische wurden nicht zügig abgeräumt, gereinigt und neu eingedeckt

Bei vielen Angestellten jeglicher Abteilungen hatte man den Eindruck, das eine vernünftige Einweisung in die Tätigkeit fehlt. Ob nun Gärtner, Servicepersonal oder Lobby.
In diesem Hotel gibt es noch Verbesserungspotential!

Behov for forbedringer

Fik gammel, slidt og forkert bungalow. Stod fx på hjemmesiden, at den havde privat terrasse, hvilket var forkert. Samtlige billeder på hjemmesiden var udelukkende fra nye bungalows. Personalet “beklagede” med, at hjemmesiden ikke kunne opdateres.

Efter brok over værelset, blev vi lovet en lille og ligegyldig kompensation. Vi havde bestilt et bedre værelse og var ikke ude på at spare penge for nedgradering. Den rigtige deluxe bungalow (fra hjemmesiden) var først tilstede 2 dage senere, så blev placeret i midlertidig premium værelse lige over et andet, der var under støjfyldt renovation hele dagen.

Da vi endeligt rykkede 2 døgn senere, var den korrekte deluxe bungalow flot og dejlig. Synd og utilfredsstillende, at vi skulle vente på denne.

Generelt er service dårlig på hotellet. Personalet står i baren og afventer du kommer til dem, såfremt du ønsker noget. De kommunikerer ikke med hinanden, så man skal forklare tingene flere gange. Der er enkelte folk, som er utrolig søde, men langt de fleste gider ikke lave noget.

Rengøring er afvekslende. Første værelse havde ulækkert og beskidt sengetøj. Generelt er deres sengetøj og håndklæder gamle og slidte, og har aflejringer fra tidligere blod, spildt kaffe osv. som ikke kan gå af den generelle vask.

Den normale rengøring er ellers fin, og de er venlige til at stille flaskevand mv.

Stedet er sammenlagt langt fra storhedstid. Nok 10-15 år siden. For 1000 DKK (5000 thai baht) per nat forventer man bedre standard og service.

Problème de sur booking on avait pas de chambre dans l hôtel nous avons était logé dans un hotel 2 fois moins cher et nous avons perdu une matinée pour rejoindre l autre hotel attendre le taxi a 11 du matin pour rejoindre notre chambre dans l hôtel que nous avons réservé et même pas un geste commercial une plus jolie chambre ou un repas offert rien

2eme passage dans cet hôtel la première fois nous étions restés 17 nuits c’est super hôtel le personnel est merveilleux toujours à se mettre en qu’âtres pour nous satisfaire la restauration de l’hôtel est très bonne les prix sont raisonnables pour se faire plaisir le petit déjeuner est grandiose et la petite voiturette de golf pour vous déplacer dans l’hôtel a tout moment

Amazing location for visitors like us who prioritize natural landscape, beaches, excellent food and atmosphere. Remarkable service from all the personnel in the restaurant (Kim and his wife are very pleasurable people to talk with), and the beach. I really enjoyed the music and the lovely attitude of Kuk and Ron duo band, classy, nice, and really well integrated with all the amazing atmosphere of the beach at night.
A note for the manager and the owner: the welcoming at the reception must be improved, not the same level of the rest of the staff: need more responsive feedback, rooms to be ready, answers to email to be provided on time.

das Hotel liegt am ruhigen Chaweng Abschnitt was uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Der Strand war super, ausreichend Liegen vorhanden und super Beachservice. Liegen wurden einem an den gewünschten Platz gebracht. Allerdings dürften die Auflagen immer mal sauber gemacht und erneuert werden.

Im gesamten hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt.

Restaurant auch sehr empfehlenswert. Frühstücksbuffet mit reichlich auswahl.
Personal immer sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen.

Teething issues post covid.

The hotel is just coming back after COVID. The room was clean each day, but a bit tired with the shower door broken, our friends room's AC not working on day one and not effective on the remainder of the days. Not all facilities are up and running, e.g. the top pool was open, but no lights for at night, beach chairs are okay, but many are broken so they ran out a number of times.
The restaurant staff were generally ineffective, a couple were fantastic, but a few had literally no idea what to do and were simply rude.
The gym has some good equipment, but no towels and was never cleaned, AC didn't work and it was pretty gross working out in there.
I'm sure it will all work out soon as they get back to their old selves, but it definitely wasn't what we expected looking at their instagram... those pictures are glossy... The gardens and setting is all lovely and it will be fine once they get their groove. It is definitely not what you would expect at a 4 star hotel.

treppenhaus stufen ab schuhgrösse 40 gefährlich, zu schmal

generell zum beispiel weg zum strand durch diese schmalen treppenstufen und berg aufwärts/abwärts sehr fitness intensiv
