The room was simple enough. The bed was reasonably comfy. Pillows were meh. The property was in disrepair. We walked off the elevator to see old, worn, and torn carpet alongside missing baseboards. The space looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months (if not longer?). There was an awful bench outside the elevator in the parking area. It appeared to be from the 80's and not cleaned since then. It looked absolutely disgusting. Why bother keeping such an awful piece of furniture? There is no way anyone is using that filthy thing. Just throw it out!!

The room was filthy, the shower hadn't been cleaned, the entire place is in disrepair; not just the room we stayed in but the entire hotel. The cafe is closed down and empty, the vending machine didn't work, the air conditioner was loud and didn't cool the room. I could go on. Do not stay here!

This property did not resemble the pictures posted on the Expedia booking site. The fountain in the courtyard was not functioning and was full of green water. The plants in the courtyard were brown and dying. The function rooms, fitness room and restaurant were all closed. We received free underground parking because there were only a few guests.
We were given a room on the 4th floor with a nice lake and mountain view but the windows were dirty and there were cobwebs behind the curtains. The baseboards in the hallways had all been removed. The paint on the walls was chipped and the wallpaper was peeling. One corner of the bathroom vanity was held on by tape. When I had a shower the tub filled to above my ankles and took forever to drain. The toilet handle had to be held down until it would flush. The smoke detector on the ceiling was blocked with cellophane. The bed was comfortable. We had to crawl under the desk to plug in the coffee maker to a power bar.
We asked for a different room the next day and were given a room in which the toilet didn’t work at all. The second room had a fridge which didn’t close. We just wanted a room in which all the amenities worked. The staff at the desk finally changed us to the 3rd floor and although it had the same run down atmosphere, the staff member checked it before we were given the key and everything in the room was functional.
This hotel needs a complete overhaul.

The lobby looked very nice but that changed when we got to our room- first room had a black hair in the bed, the cover for the fan in the bathroom was missing and it sounded like a jet plane, the carpet was dirty and wet in spots and the tv did not work. Requested to change rooms, which they did without question... second room was marginally cleaner but the whole hotel is very run down and in need of repairs- wallpaper peeling off the walls, floors in the elevators are worn out, windows in the room don't open properly and the courtyard is a filthy mess- water in the pond is dk green with algae.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone and although the price was reasonable, it was not worth the money. Location is convenient to the downtown area but that's all it has going for it. Very disappointed

I have no idea how the hotel was. I didn't get to stay there because when I showed up to check in, I was informed that my room reservation was not in the hotel's system. Expedia did not send it to the hotel. After about an hour of phoning and driving I found another room to dtay. I unfortunately had to spend $150 more than I wanted to on a room for that night.

There was nothing to like about this trip to this hotel. I was going with my nine-year-old granddaughter, and there was outlet covers missing, electrical issues, a damaged tub that she got hurt on. No lights, there was one lamp in the whole room and we had to move it around, with the electrical issues. It was a horrible visit, and the manager was supposed to call us back, it’s been over a month and I haven’t heard from him after two or three phone calls. Do not ever stay in room 204, especially with children.

The Harrison lake hotel is in the process of being renovate, and one day it may return to its former glory. The staff specially Rakil and Rehan are very helpful and kind and quick to respond to my requests: remote control not working, room too cold ( they brought a heater), night table not working ( brought a new bulb), they provided a courtesy pass for the use of the Harrison hotel pools and breakfast. All in all, I would go back because the service is good and I am a senior woman on my own.

Its gone downhill since i stayed here years ago. Used to have a gym but no more. Place is a bit run down. Wall paper peeling. Ceiling in bathroom falling. Cobwebs. Partial lakeview had no lake view. Furniture is old. Fridge kept us up at night (made noises on and off) Positives were staff, access to pools, inexpensive, parking included and clean. If u are looking for a basic clean inexpensive room, then this is the place.

Do not stay here. This hotel should be shut down. I have no idea how it is in business. We checked in and went to the room and checked out immediately. Elevator was sketchy and made odd sounds. Some of the button lights were not working in the elevator Hallways were dark, stinky, and dirty. Ceiling pieces falling off, no baseboards, holes and scuffs everywhere. Rooms look nothing like the photos. The whole building is in disarray. There's holes in the walls, holes in the doors, the rooms were filthy. Stains all over the curtains ansnbedding. Bathrooms looked like a jail washroom. Mold in the tub, dirt and crumbs all over thebfloor. There's underground parking which is great if you can deal with the birds living in it and pooping on your car, it smelled of smoke, glass and garbage all over the underground. Absolutely disgusting hotel. I wouldn't want my worst enemy staying here.

The building looked to have had some renovations - the room was clean. Other signs of recent renovations include the wall-mounted hairdryer sitting on the washing basin, not yet mounted on the still pristine wall.

The underground parking lot was very convenient. The basement elevator lobby had a strong cigarette smell. The carpet there was very soiled. Birds live in the underground parkade - the floor could use more frequent cleaning.

The lobby was clean and tidy. The front desk staff was efficient and patient despite working by himself while other members of staff were carrying out unpanned maintenance work (looked like someone knocked down a hanging sign in the garage).

The location is very central - one block from the beach. A dozen restaurants are within one block. The public pool is kitty corner.

I have to say about this property is it was unfortunate at the time that we were there that was under renovations I remember at 12 years ago and was absolutely beautiful. Everything was redone now it just seems like everything the vending machines the pool or hot tub. Nothing worked. There were no blow dryers. There was two towels in the room for two people you know I expect at least four towels so you can have a shower when you arrive in a shower in the morning, but that wasn’t the case they did offer the pool at the resort Harrison Hot Springs resort, which is absolutely beautiful, but there was a time you had to be out by 7 o’clock if you weren’t staying at that resort, but all in all that was absolutely beautiful. So my opinion, you know it was cheap. It was like 80 some dollars which was OK cause we just wanted to sleep and be halfway to our destination and look around the town. It was a great little town lots of fun restaurants you know in the summer would be better but you know we came in the spring but as for the hotel, yes nothing special definitely old school still has a you know a 30 inch TV or 25 inch it’s not even that great every amenity was shut down it was unfortunate but in the next six months, if they get it all done, I’d like to see it then on their website maybe I’d stay there again without it as is today I wouldn’t go back. They shouldn’t even rented it out to me the condition that it is in.

I loved my stay at this hotel! The front desk staff, both in the evening and in the morning, were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The location is perfect right in the center of everything, and only a 2-minute walk to the beach.
The room was spacious, very quiet at night, and extremely clean. The building is older, but it is very well maintained and had everything we needed. It was peaceful with no noise at all, which made our stay even more relaxing.
Perfect for families and couples. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was nice, but the floor was very dirty. I would have liked body wash for the shower instead of the tiny bar of soap. No Kleenex available. The bedding was too small for the bed, so it was challenging for us to keep covered up during the night.
The property needs a facelift, the courtyard could be such a nice space, but the fountain is green, and used for storage in another area of it.
The breakfast was good.
We were very disappointed that the public hot springs was closed. Had we known this, we would not have made the trip there.

Checked in - no A/C in the room we were in. Moved down the hall to a 'cooler' room. That evening - temperatures in the high 70's - A/C did not work - like a sauna all night.
Took a shower - NO towels in the room - partner had to go down to lobby to get.
2nd night -same room - provided with a box-fan - spent the night in a 'sauna' with hot air blowing around.
Lots of interesting red ants crawling throughout the room - made it into our toothpaste!

I would highly recommend avoiding this property for many reasons.
First - we booked through Expedia (as we normally do) and reserved and paid for a Deluxe Room with 1 King bed and a Lake View. When we checked in, they provided us a standard room with 2 double beds with a Courtyard view (not what we paid for). The elevator going to the room was sketchy at best, making some very concerning noises. Once in the room, we discovered the A/C was not working, no matter what we tried to do to solve the issue. We discussed our situation with the front counter staff, who did their best to assist - this unfortunately only included bringing in a loud, portable A/C unit, which meant sleeping with the window open and outside noises introduced through the night.
We discussed the room we paid for, however the front counter staff indicated they were fully booked and could not assist - I asked them to have the Manager contact me regarding the situation.
I sent an email to the \"contact us\" site, unfortunately multiple days have passed and I have yet to hear back from the Hotel - to me, this is totally unacceptable from a business point of view.
Everything about this stay was horrific - I would avoid this hotel at all costs, not worth the headache at all.
To the Property Managers at the Harrison Lake Hotel - I gave multiple opportunities for your team to make this situation right, however you failed miserably. Very disappointed!!!

Horrible is an understatement. This was by far one of the dirtiest places I have ever stayed at. The only parking available was an under ground parking and the entire property was filthy. There was garbage piled up in the corners, a strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout the parking, and the rooms were extremely outdated.

The cleaning standards were unacceptable. The bathroom was dirty, the room barely looked cleaned, and there was even a blood stain on our bedsheet.

To make matters worse, upon arrival we were told the pool was closed for renovation, something never mentioned beforehand. The next morning, we went down for breakfast only to be told that was closed too.

I honestly do not understand how this hotel received any stars at all. If I could give it a minus 5, I would. I would never stay here again and would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

The hotel is dilapidated. Rooms have dirty floors, broken lamps and furniture, run down bathrooms. Air circulation/air conditioning broken. Fan on chair non functioning and potentially a hazard....and more! Front desk staff pleasant but say whatever is necessary to keep guest without solutions when problems brought to their attention. Photos on website do not reflect the current poor state of the hotel. Choose another property if you decide to visit Harrison Hot Springs!

My stay here was a bit of a mixed bag. The front desk clerk was so friendly. I checked in late and everything was closed in town, he was kind enough to offer to share his dinner with me. The rooms were really clean, the housekeeping staff are doing a great job.
The problem here was the hotel itself, it's really in bad state of disrepair. Simple things like a fresh coat of paint in the elevator would have made a huge difference. The furniture in the rooms is oddly mismatched. The TV in my room was on a really low coffee table making it difficult to see when in the bed. The bathroom was very dated, with the exception of the flooring which looks like it was recently replaced.
The bed was ok and I slept well, so between that and the great staff, it turned what could have been a disaster into an ok stay.

First timers at Harrison. We stayed for one day, and unfortunately, the hotel felt quite run-down. The shower drainage was clogged, and only the night lamp and toilet light were working, there was no functioning light in the main bedroom. The corridors were noticeably dirty as well.
Additionally, the concierge was difficult to understand and was unable to communicate clearly. When we asked about Uber or taxi options to get to the Harrison Tulip Festival (night garden) he couldn’t provide any helpful information or guidance. We found out that there is not much of uber driver there. Thanks to google by the way. Sometimes, all you have to do is to rely on technology.
Overall, the experience was disappointing due to the poor maintenance and lack of helpful service.

The thermostat in our room didn't turn on (it didn't even have power to it), the fan in the bathroom had no cover on it and wasn't running, the smoke detector was covered in plastic wrap (which is actually illegal), the one and only lamp didn't work, the closet was broken, the carpets throughout the building were ratty and patched together, the elevator stank and was filthy, and there was never anyone at the front desk. The price for they stay was cheaper than other hotels in this area, but certainly not the cheapest - not worth the money we \"saved.\" We won't stay here again.

Floors are all stained. Leak stained walls. Rooms were soo hot. Turned temp down and still no change. Very dirty windows and ledges.
