Caretaker Doreen was the bright spot of the experience. She was awesome and so personable. Felt like staying with an old friend.

Beautiful area and lodge is cute from the outside. The rooms are each decorated differently.

Not a negative, but motorcycle riders take note that the driveway is very steep and uneven in parts. Could be challenging depending on rider experience.

Biggest downside was there are no individual room temperature controls. The caretaker can make adjustments, but it is the whole left or right of the lodge being changed.

We arrived later than expected (around 7 PM) and initially passed the entrance due to limited lighting, which made the property a bit difficult to find in the dark.

Upon arrival, Julia noticed us outside and kindly invited us into the charming common area. She was very friendly, made pleasant conversation, and offered several helpful local restaurant recommendations. We mentioned we were celebrating our birthday weekend and asked if any other rooms were available, as online only the Secret Garden Room appeared to be open. She shared that we had the room with the best bed.

The room itself, however, was underwhelming and not particularly aesthetically appealing. Furnishings included a glass cart, two small chairs, two glass end tables, and a king-size bed. While the bathroom appeared updated, we experienced several issues: the shower did not drain properly, the water did not stay hot long enough for two showers, the towels were extremely rough, and the mirror did not appear securely affixed to the wall.

Additional inconveniences included no in-room thermostat control, no designated place to eat in the room, hallway lights that remained on all night and shone into the room through gaps in the door (which did not properly fit the frame), and no visible alarm clock.

Would highly recommend for a couples weekend. The room, bed was comfortable and clean. Loved that there was a good fan in the room as I'm used to sleeping with one. Adorable place and grounds with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Close to town so it's a great location. About the only suggestions I would make would be to add a little more lighting in the bathroom & shower and a small table in the sitting area. We had a great time and hope to go back at Christmas.

It was a good stay. I would had preferred to have better water pressure in the shower, access to a microwave and coffee pot around the clock, some sort of cabinet, shelves or drawers to put away clothes, and a TV in the room, but it was a good stay. Clean and quiet.

My 2nd stay was great! I really wanted to go to the pool but the weather was not cooperating. Its a really nice pool, so I'll have to come back!! I stayed in a different room this time, it was just as nice and cozy Only complaint, the pillows weren't firm at all. So I had to use all 4 of them for comfort. Kellie is always so welcoming, we chatted during lobby hours for a bit.

What an absolutely pleasant surprise to see the lodge after driving down the hill. It’s nestled in the woods and is just darling. Inside is beautiful; welcoming and warm, clean and our host kelly was the best. Loved chatting with a few of the guests in the morning over coffee. Beautifully curated antiques fill the common area.
Our room upstairs was just what we needed; nice and cool, super comfortable bed with fabulous sheets that felt luxurious!
I can’t wait to go back.

Very unique property, lots of southern charm and nice decor. Our room was very hot and did not cool down. There is no thermostat for the room so what ever temperature they want you to bake at is what you are stuck with. There was a security light outside of our room that shined in the window all night. It would cut off and on every 30 seconds. Very annoying. Had there not been other guests I would have slept in the hallway where it was cool and no security light…. The mattress took firm to a whole other level. Needless to say we got very little sleep. Maybe the other rooms cool better but I would not want to be in this room ever again.

This is an interesting place - staff very responsive & kind, room very clean. Rooms are furnished with antiques and ours was cute - but not very practical. Small and rather over-furnished which made it tight for 2 people, no work area and no way to configure a chair and surface for laptop. No television in room although we could have traded our DL for a loan of a portable TV - a little curious ( and insulting). No individual control in room for warm or cool temp - these are controlled by staff. No in-room coffee or mini-fridge. (Coffee in common room but not until 8 am). Bathroom was very nicely updated with thick towels and good quality bath products.

Beautiful and charming little cottage nestled in the woods that felt quiet and secluded, but it was only a 15 minute drive from restaurants and other businesses. We could not find a thermostat, so no control over the room temperature. It was warm and had to open a window to cool the room. In the morning they had some coffee and we believe tea too. It would be great if they add something small/light, like a grab and go type of thing for example an individually wrapped pastry or cookies, or little cakes, a donut, etc. So if you need to take a medication with food you grab that with coffee (thank you) and keep going without the need to stop somewhere else. We really like the hidden in the forest type of house. We recommend it and will definitely return!

It's a beautiful, secluded place. No TVs to interrupt other guests, and they have Wi-Fi. Within miles of dahlonega square, with shops and restaurants. Our main visit was the Crisson Gold Mine with our focus on Gem mining. Also, a hidden gem of a restaurant was Gold City Cafe. Very pleasant experience, will be planning to come back next year.

This was a very quaint place to stay at. The area was very quiet and tranquil. We did not get to use the pool, but it looked very inviting also. We just wished it was a clear walkway to get to the pool. Our stay was a short Anniversary trip visiting wineries', so when we got back it was too late to visit the pool. There was not a TV in the room, so we used out tablet to watch when we wanted too. The bed was really comfortable, great night sleep!

This is a one-of-a-kind place to stay that I would recommend to anyone from a single person to a family. It is not a traditional hotel in any of the word, it is better! The bed is most definitely not a “hotel bed”. It is quite amazing; like your own home but better! The decorations are spot on but not over the top. The owner-operator is amazing! I never have had any hotel, or anywhere for that matter, text me on the day of arrival to ask how our trip is going and update us on the check-in status. She then proceeded to text me daily, even giving me suggestions of things to do. Even more spectacular was when we arrived and saw our Parisian room (it was amazing), it was a bit dark (it was sticking with the Paris theme) for my husband’s PTSD (I loved it!). When I texted the owner, she didn’t even blink! She told us to use the family suite! That is pure first class! I can not say enough about Lily Creek Lodge.❤️

When we stayed in off season, we were the only ones there one night and there were other travelers there the other night. Both nights were quiet and peaceful and safe. I would say i would have slept with my door unlocked. It is off the beaten path and nestled in the trees, but still close within 2-3 miles from the center of Dahlonega, GA. We stayed for Memorial Day weekend/my husbands birthday. It was a surprise to him. Kathy went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we wanted. We stayed in the Asia suite/Room 11. It was so very quiet and relaxing after a long day of touring Dahlonega. There isn’t a tv I. The room but Kathy brought us one with a bunch of DVDs that we enjoyed! We even added a few to the collection while in town. You will love your stay here. Don’t think twice, just book it!

Lily Creek Lodge is a gem if you like a niche type of accommodation. We stayed in an Asian themed room on the third floor of the chalet style building. The room is called a \"loft\" with slanted ceilings that reminded me of my cozy childhood farmhouse attic room. There are stairs involved in accessing the room, but it was a fun alternative to cookie cutter hotels. The lobby on the first floor has a common room where you can enjoy the unique furnishings and maybe bring in a snack to enjoy at the dining room table.

Cute Inn minutes from Downtown Dahlonega GA

This is a cute little Inn just outside of Dahlonega GA. The rooms are themed. We stayed in the Montana Room. The room was clean and tidy. WiFi was very good, we did not have cell service in this location in the mountains. The Innkeeper was very nice and interested in making sure our stay went well. I can recommend The Bear Necessities Cafe, within a few minutes drive, for morning coffee and breakfast. I can recommend. It is not fancy so pass if that's what you are in to.

The lodge manager, Cathy, was amazing! She made us feel welcome the moment we arrived and was there for anything we needed. Everything was immaculate, and our loft room was perfect for the quiet and serene experience we were looking for. Our patio on the deck outside our room was perfect for sitting, relaxing, and gazing at the autumn leaves. For us Floridians it was absolutely perfect!

The Lodge was fine: very clean but basic.
The building/setting and lobby were very nice but our room (#2) was very sparse with just the bare necessities. It felt more like a hotel, which is fine if that is your expectation.
You should be aware that you have to go outside to get to the lobby which has restricted hours and is not available 24/7. Insulation was also an issue--we could hear folks across the hall, folks on the deck beneath our room as well as a heavy snorer next door! I would look at other options if we returned to the area.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Lily Creek Lodge. Excellent customer service. Accommodating to our needs including our pet small dog. The owner and the Innkeeper are both hospitable, friendly, and attentive. Their price rate is reasonable. The lodge inside and outside is very clean, organized, spacious. The rooms are updated. The location of the lodge sits in a very private acreages area where one can enjoy their rest and relaxation, serenity. It is surrounded by nature which is a plus. We loved hearing the birds singing every morning. My husband and I felt we were home away from home. It has been a great Memorial Day weekend for us. We definitely highly recommend Lily Creek Lodge to everyone. We will definitely go back there in the future! Thank you Lily Creek Lodge!😊

I can't quite put it into words how underwhelming this place was. The location is great, but it is clear that the owners are no longer interested in being involved in this business. One of the hosts would not even get up off of the couch to welcome us. He just yelled for his wife to come give us the key.
If you're OK with staying in someone's hot stuffy attic, this may be the place for you. Otherwise, I'd avoid it.
What once appears to have been a nice quaint bed and breakfast is now just a bed and.... eh, maybe coffee... We just left.

The loft area is unsafe. The upper stairs are very narrow, not up to code I am certain. I would not have attempted to carry a suitcase up the stairs. The railing outside the loft entrance door was certainly not up to code, 2' high at best. The door opens outwardly. The chances of someone falling over the rail are real.

The property is overgrown with trees and undergrowth, attracting insects. The advertised pool is somewhere in the back of the property, couldn't be seen from the lodge.

You couldn't control the air conditioning from the unit. You had to phone the office to have them adjust it. What if you wanted to change the temp in the middle of the night. There was no TV.

Overall, it is not an attractive property but again the staff, Dawn and her husband, were very polite.

I was in town for a funeral and was pleased with the seclusion and the surroundings. IF I had to say an improvement, it would be spotty cell/internet service only because we arrived late each night and did not arrange ahead of time to use the common area. However, it was really nice to unplug.
There was a light snow while we were there. It was both beautiful and peaceful. I would definitely stay again in better circumstances.

Nice room, very unique, we had the top loft with our own entrance. Very enjoyable, 5 minutes from downtown.
