The property is in a great location and you can easily access the park within a short walk. The staff was very helpful and the rooms are clean. The only negative is that there are roosters on the property which are noisy and irritating.

The staff was not helpful. We got delayed by about 45 minutes going into the park because we bought our tickets through the hotel and when we got to the park to enter they said the tickets had not been sent over correctly. When my husband returned to the hotel to address this the staff was not helpful. We had lots of live ants in our bed and the quality of breakfast was poor.

The location of the Vrata Krke Hotel is excellent - directly opposite the entrance to the Krke National Park. There is a large pool, which was welcome after a long day walking in the heat. The rooms are large and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are a little tired with dated decor, but fine for a short stay.

The first thing I'd like to mention about this hotel is the staff! The staff is what this makes a pleasant hotel!

The rooms are very outdated and are up for renovation if you ask me. Bed however was fine. Also our window had an enormous crack in it, which was fine but this should def be replaced!

The hotel was very close to the park entrance. You will get an extra day access to the park free of charge for staying there.
The restaurant was closed because of COVID and the swimming pool was under a small refurbishment, but we were not planning to use it anyway.

Food at the restaurant is overpriced for the quality. Hotel is clean but they give you a flimsy sheet to sleep in so it's cold. Otherwise there is just nothing to do so spend the night here BEFORE going to the park and then LEAVE!

Hotel is nice enough (basic/dated but clean and comfy) but the value for money given the location right next to the Krka park entrance (literally 50m) is brilliant. Large breakfast buffet is available for a very good price too, and the staff were always helpful and friendly.
Also you get 20% off tickets to the park if you book through the hotel which could save you quite a bit!

Not the best

The hotel appears to basically cater for large tours staying for one night visiting the park. It has a school camp feel to it, with food to match.

Our room certainly had not been vacuumed as there were ants feeding on crumbs on the carpet and I had to request that it was cleaned.

Personally unless you are in a group, I would not stay here.

Perfect location for the national park

Room condition of the suite was a little shabby but the bathroom was ok. The location was excellent with discounted entrance to the park. The hotel is next to the main car park for the park. The hotel has potential but could with updating at least the higher cost rooms. Over all the stay was reasonable and convenient.

Great location. Room was a good size and clean. Layout was odd and we were missing one bedside table, TV had been taken off the wall, possibly by design, but just looked like it had been stolen. Some poor quality repairs to the wooden flooring, no shower curtain (and not a wet room...)

A great Hotel, that could offer so much more, but it simply fails on important details. We arrived there at the late afternoon. The very kind receptionist told us, that there will be a wedding reception and that this will be loud and will last long into the night. Due to the fact, that we are family with a baby, she switched the rooms into more distant part of the hotel. But that was all. The room was unprepared, so we had to find a sheets to finish making a bet. There were also not enough toilet paper. The most unforgettable gadget of this room was the toilet, which is placed so high, that even I with my 188 cm height could not use it normally. The fridge in the room was empty and big enough to put a lot in it, but it had a single problem - the cooling was not satisfactory. Otherwise the room was clean, big, it has a huge flat screen TV with enough programs to watch for a week. The balcony was big enough to have a breakfast on it. We also missed the water heater, so that we could make some tea. Another issue is the breakfast. The hotel lies on a cross section of four different types of cousines (dalmatian/ mediterranean, inner croatian, serbian and touch of bosnian) and all that it could have offered were three different types of salami, some cheese, a filter coffee and some prefabricated stuffs that you can buy in every shop across Croatia. That was the part, which disappointed me most.

A simple hotel right next to the Krke National Park. Rooms are a little dated but large, comfortable and clean. People were friendly and breakfast was simple (in terms of food selection) but good. If you plan to visit the Krke park than I think this is a good choice.

Great hotel but couldn't stay due to miscommunicat

Would love to give a great review on the hotel but didn't see the room. Staff were excellent in helping us. We arrived with confirmation number but we're not on the list and the hotel was fully booked. No place for us to stay in the hotel. A big disappointment that hotels.com had let us down and we had no place to stay. The hotel found us other accommodation which was only adequate. Wrote to hotels.com to apprise them of our situation. We are still waiting for a reply. We doubt you will print this as a review. We also lost one night accommodation towards a free night after 10 stays.

Great location to the park

The hotel is right outside the entrance of Krka National Park. We did not know but you get a discount for the park when staying here so be sure to check in first before going to the park- it is charged to the hotel and you pay with your bill. Room was spacious and cool (it was summer and hot!). Quiet- not much of anything around for after hours so if you stay here you either want a real peaceful place or willing to drive. Other reviews stated the food was not that great so we drove to Sibenik for dinner and ate at Tomaseo- it was recommended by another restaurant that was full (reservation were needed) and we enjoyed our meals- the gnocchi was really good.

Comfortable and close to park

Best place to stay if you want to go to the park. The room is simple, but comfortable. There is an empty mini fridge to keep bottled water cold, the A/C worked well, and the bathroom was very clean. There is a discount for guests who want to visit the national park. We've been backpacking and didn't have a beach towel, but the hotel let us borrow a pair of white towels. Excellent staff and very friendly. There's no room service, but the restaurant downstairs has pretty decent food.

Functional hotel at the entrance to Krka National

This hotel is at one of the entrances to Krka National Park, which is ideal for visiting the park early before the buses and the majority of tourists arrive. Reception were helpful about the park and cheaper to buy tickets through. It is a bit tired but fine for a nights stop over ( think older holiday inn or travel lodge). If staying a couple of nights Skradin would be better as a small village with a few restaurants which is another entrance to the park as there is nothing at this location for the evenings.

This hotel is almost in the park. The staff was wonderful! I was upgraded from a single to a mini apartment (It being off season, they weren't full, and he was just being nice). Be sure to get your park ticket at the hotel, there is a discount (which, again, the wonderful desk agent told me about). The restaurant was nice, reasonably priced and very accommodating. I had dinner and breakfast and both were great.

National Park Hotel

It's impossible to find a better hotel closer to a National Park. This is literally a minute away for the park gate. It is not rustic like many hotels near parks. This is less than 5 years old and has all the amenities. Room sizes are adequate, staff were helpful, and prices were unbeatable. Like many park hotels - this one doesn't have much other places to go or things to do other than enter the park so be sure you're there to see the natural wonders.

Given it's proximity to the park, it's an excellent choice for visiting the park. We stayed 2 nights & had a comfortable stay. The staff was excellent (front desk & restaurant staff were wonderful). Dining options in the area were limited for dinner (and we slept through breakfast). For lunch, we took the boat (free for park visitors) to one of the other entrances & had many dining options there.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und sauber. Es gibt Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Da wir erst spät angekommen sind wurde von ihrem Personal den Check in alles vorbereitet sehr zuvorkommend. Es gab ein leckeres Frühstück, auch optimal zum Durchreise.

The only reason to stay at the hotel is its proximity to the park. The hotel is of poor standard. Staff were absent both in the restaurant and the pub, and the cleaning was poor. Remote location. No restaurants nearby. I recommend staying in Šibenik instead, which was a charming little town.

Very nice hotel. The room was confortable and big.
Few stuff to fix, such as draps hangers broker, remote control for the tv missing.
Also, what is up with the toilet hight? The feet do not touch the floor when sitting in it, even a tall man! And no shower enclosure, leading to water everywhere in the bathroom.

Location is great, as it is on the park.
They offer a discount for the entrance of the park, saddly, no one told us before hand, so we did not get it as we visited the park first from the north side. They should send an email on that matter, would be better.

Chambre familiale vieillissante, plusieurs éléments étaient cassés (lunette des toilettes, rideaux), pas de mini bar, ni de machine à café. Les serviettes de toilettes n’étaient pas impeccables comme il est souhaitable dans un hôtel. Cependant, l’hôtel est placé dans un endroit stratégique lorsque l’on souhaite se rendre au parc de Krka. La piscine est appréciable et le petit déjeuner correct. Je recommande cet établissement pour sa situation géographique.

We really enjoyed our stay at Vrata Krke hotel!

Our family room was really spacious, consisting of two (large) bedrooms, a (large) bathroom, and a separate toilet. Unfortunately it appeared our room didn't have a small fridge or minibar.

The swimming pool (area) is nice and clean.

The breakfast is tasteful, offering a wide choice of bread, toppings and spreads, fruits and vegetables, eggs, pastries, yoghurt and pudding, juices, coffee and tea, etc.

Location is excellent, right across Krka park's main entrance. Supermarkets and bakery nearby. About one hour drive from Split or Zadar. Private parking at the hotel and large, free parking across the street (national park).

We particularly appreciated dinner at the hotel. Menu offers a wide choice of hot and cold dishes at average prices. Drinks were far less expensive than at most restaurants we came across during our stay in Croatia.

la piscine a était vidé la veille de notre arrivée donc pas utilisable lors de notre séjours. D’après le personnel prennent ils n’ou ont informé que cela n’avait pas été fait au printemps et qu’il devais le faire …. en pleine saison … chercher l’erreur ! le petit déjeuner est industriel et de mauvaise qualité. les chambre sont spacieuses mais manque d’entretien (moisissures sur les mûres, fourmis dans les chambres, excréments d’oiseaux sur le balcon….) seul atout de l’hôtel : proximité avec le parc
Privilégié plutôt d’aller dormir à Šibenik !

Mycket bra läge om man ska besöka nationalparken. Fin pool och helt OK restaurau. Köp parkbiljetter i receptionen på hotellet. Trevlig personal, hjälpsam. Rekommenderas starkt. Ta ett rum med balkong, den var ljuvlig!

Bien puis… catastrophique ?

Bon séjour: propre, piscine sympa, restaurant avec quelques bons plats et servis sur la terrasse (agréable) cependant, tout à été gâché lors du départ: la note comportait plusieurs erreurs (ils voulaient nous faire payer la chambre alors qu’elle avait été payée sur hôtel.com et il a fallu de longues minutes pour obtenir gain de cause, l’addition du repas du soir: mauvais nombre de boissons et mauvais prix). De plus,ils avaient oubliés de tamponner les vouchers ce qui nous a fait courir retourner à l’hôtel et prendre du temps pour visiter le parc de Krka.
