This place is 100% beautiful and very safe - the only issue with them is that they don’t have a shuttle service which makes it complicated when you do not have a car. Having shuttle service will make guests like us more comfortable because having a taxi or an uber picking you or dropping you inside the facilities is very tedious due to the extreme entrance and security rules. If the Hotel had a shuttle service in place - then they will have a clearance to come in and out the compound. The other suggestion is that they improve the pool furniture and decor - it looks outdated - the place is gorgeous and definitely has room for improvement. Thanks! Yasna B. Sauls

The property is located in a beautiful gated community with easy access to the golf course and trails. The hotel lodge is dated and the service at the restaurant is EXTREMELY SLOW! We waited over an hour for poached eggs that I refused to eat and pay for as they were cold and literally floating in a pool of water. Staff was friendly but very young and inexperienced. My sister and brother-in-law’s room had a very foul odour during their entire stay (3 nights) that never got resolved! Overall unsatisfactory and very disappointing!

El Hotel es muy lindo y los amenities que tiene no son tan buenos como la piscina, las canchas de tenis no tienen ni alquilan raquetas y el personal no se ve muy contento ni a gusto. El desayuno muy normal para la categoria de Hotel que es y creo que hay mucho mejores hoteles con mas valor precio calidad en Bariloche. Deberían alcanzar la categoria de Marriot Bonvoy en el mundo

The hotel is set in a decent area of Bariloche in a gated property. The area is pretty quaint and the view is nice.

However a lot of signs of wear and lack of maintenance.

The worst is the terrible attitude of the staff / management making us feel like we are bothering them in their home rather than being a hotel guest.

Food is awful but this is a “standard” in Argentina so I cannot blame their restaurant.

A unique property in a private condo with exclusive access and in the middle of an excellent golf course. A very nice setting, good quality, in some minor aspect a lack of maintenance (loose WC sear, jet of ja jacuzzi di not work, one toaster at breakfast in bad condition for three days and then replaced. One day run out of cheese during breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful, deserve special mention.

The hotel is nice looking, but feels a little dated. The rooms, tile, wood fixtures, could use some work. Staff is friendly and helpful. This is definitely not a 5 star hotel, more like a 4 star. There is no turn down service, etc.

Arelauquen Lodge has the most spectacular views of the Andes. Our room had a full view and it was stunning. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have a spa, workout room and indoor/outdoor pool.

The morning breakfast is included and has a variety of foods to choose from. The restaurant food for lunch & dinner is average tasting. This hotel is a Marriott, but not up to Marriott standards, although it has its own charm.

The location is in an upscale, very safe and beautiful neighborhood. It’s between the town and scenic drive. I recommend renting a car.

We enjoyed our stay very much and I would go back.

A retreat that celebrates serenity. The property is located in a secluded community away from roads and other sources of noise. The peacefulness of the place is felt the moment you arrive. The views are spectacular and can be enjoyed indoors or outside. The staff are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and helpful with any concerns you may have. The restaurant serves the best buffet breakfast I've ever had, as well as great dinners. There is a lot of bird-life in the area, some of which can be seen very up-close. The indoor/outdoor pool is an amazing experience, especially when it's snowing. The rooms are cozy, spacious and made of sturdy materials - wood, stone, and are well-decorated. The only other comments I have is that the bar should be open until later (it closes at 11 PM), and the music in the bar/restaurant area could be a little lower in volume. Despite this, the place is very tranquil. We will definitely stay here again.

Fantastic place to stay - we had a great four days, two of them spent skiing. Great golf facilities, tennis court, pool, spa, and amazing walks around the estate with extraordinary views. It’s set on a huge private estate with lots of privately owned villas - pretty cool place. Consider renting a car, it’s a 25 min drive to the ski resort and 30 mins to Bariloche. The hotel has a deal with a local company who can drop off a rental car to the hotel, and you can return it to the airport for about £25 a day. Lots of good restaurants nearby, worth exploring some great steak places! The hotel restaurant is pretty good (so are the cocktails), though the menu didn’t change in four days. The staff were all fantastic, very friendly, helpful and had great suggestions! Unique and amazing find in Patagonia.

Hotel in the national park. Better than staying in the town (which is rather grim) & hotel is a good choice if Llao Llao not available. Staff polite, average English skills but all friendly. Wonderful maids. The hotel pool has tiles missing and filters don't work. This let's it down & would be easily fixed. Free washing/drying facilities which is a great freebie. Recommend but hope management fix the things that need investment.

Out of the Way and Lovely Surroundings

We were a little put off by the guard house and winding drive to the Lodge, but realized its an exclusive country club and its probably warranted. The lodge is nice inside and the rooms are fairly large with a neat view over the golf course to Lake Guttierez in the background and mountain peaks. The dining room is fairly nice with lots of windows but somewhat Spartan. The food was good albeit the breakfast really never changed and the breakfast menu was very limited.

I was only impressed with the beautiful views but you can get that anywhere in Bariloche. This hotel is VERY far from the city center and terrible to get to at night. The service was mediocre at best. There is no coffee or water in the suites, you need to buy everything and bring it in. The restaurant staff is ok but not very attentive in terms of refilling your drinks and removing the plates after a while. The drinks at the bar are overpriced and the ambiance is a bore. I think we were the only ones staying in the hotel with one more family which were the only people we saw the entire trip. You can totally stay in the smaller hotels on the coast which are very cute and close to everything. Don't go by the star rating because it's not accurate. I visited 3 start places which were much more fun and easily accessible than this 5 star hotel which is in the middle of nowhere. Needless to say, I will not be staying here again.

A normal 5-star should provide some bottles of water for the room, and espresso with the breakfast. In addition, the housekeeper should not barge into the room without knocking at 9AM.

Furthermore, the hotel security kept us waiting in our car at the gate for almost 10 minutes even though we had all our documents, and a copy of our reservation.

The staff is good and the hotel clean. Unfortunately, the annoyances noted here are disturbing for a highly rated hotel.

Best meal I've had in all of Chile/Argentina was tastings menu at hotel. Room big and modern, but hard to adjust heat to comfortable setting. Front gate requires an escort for 10 minutes with police lights in your face the whole way and access codes to get in and out that hotel didn't provide up front or to get out! Half hour wait getting in and out the first time.

Amazing Stay

This was a great experience and I wish I could have stayed longer. The staff puts the extra effort into the small details....a welcome drink of iced tea, over-eagerness to book transportation, to help out, and to make you feel comfortable. I lost my phone and the staff lent me a personal computer to use, booked my phone, and kept track of me so that they knew where to transfer calls. I booked this hotel for a one-night stay so that I could rest before another day of travel, and I wish that I had skipped my travel and stayed at the Arelauquen Lodge. I had a great walk from the lodge, down the empty golf course, and along the lake, and then came back for an awesome dinner at the lodge restaurant. The room was extremely comfortable and would have been perfect for a longer stay, as it had a small kitchenette. They also stocked their guest laundry room with free soap, which I appreciated after two weeks traveling around.

5 Star Luxury Close To Skiing in Cathedral

I've traveled to 100+ countries and stayed in a lot of hotels and I have to say this is one of the best. If you're going to Bariloche to ski or sightsee this is an amazing \"lodge\" close to the slopes and ~10 minutes to town. Beautiful mountain vistas out of my window on the 3rd floor, fridge in room, heated pool, washer & dryer, highly attentive service, housekeeping & front desk staff, great restaurant. Although the hotel has a gym, I ran around the nearby lake and it was fabulous. Golf course adjacent to property. Was concerned about staying 10 minutes from town, but loved this amazing property and the free shuttle to Cathedral's skiing, especially as compared to many of the iffy hotels downtown.

The hotel is beautifully located with back view to the Catedral ski resort; a lake and a golf course: absolutely breathtaking.... staff is very helpful and polite, although with limited experience; the restaurant offers a good gourmet menu with a 5 star breakfast.
The rooms are brand new, clean, cozy, but not up to 5 stars.
We were definitely at the most beautiful location in Bariloche (the Arelauquen condominium), however Arelauquen is away from town and transportation may be an issue if you don't rent a car. If you are looking for peace and picturesque site, this is it. We definitely recommend it.

I stayed with my daughter for 3 nights and will come back again for sure. The hotel is new, the service was outstanding. The receptionists helped us on everything we needed and overachieved our expectations. The breakfast was delicious, with local fresh and high quality products. We did not have the opporutnity to have dinner or launch at the hotel, but considering the quality of the breakfast, I am sure the food would be great. The hotel is localed in a very nice area with a close view to 'Cerro Catedral\" and \"Lago Gutierrez\", it could not be better. I strongly recommend renting a car, since the distances are not so short: around 10 km to the city and 20km to the airport.

O hotel fica dentro de um condomínio, o lugar é espetacular, paisagens lindíssimas, acomodações super confortáveis. A má impressão ficou quando chegamos a portaria do condomínio e um segurança nos recebeu com extrema grosseiria. Outro ponto foi na recepção , os atendentes não estão muito dispostos a deixar uma boa impressão. Fiz uma reserva pra 2 dias em um quarto, vista montanha. O que significa, vista para o nada, vulgo quarto dos fundos. Resolvi fazer uma reserva para mais um dia, em um quarto vista lago e fui pedir para me mudarem naquele dia mesmo. Como uma cordialidade ...... alem de dizerem não, afinal o hotel estava literalmente vazio. Fui informada que o tipo de quarto que eu quase reservei nao estava disponível. O hotel tinha 5 ou 6 quartos ocupados no máximo.

Pagamos por um quarto e entregaram outro inferior

Prezados,

Gostaria de expressar minha insatisfação com a estadia no Arelauquen Lodge, Tribute Portfolio Hotel, em San Carlos de Bariloche, reservada via Hoteis.com.

Reservei um quarto de categoria específica, mas ao chegar, fui alocada em um quarto diferente e inferior ao que paguei. A equipe informou que as fotos eram ilustrativas, o que considero inaceitável, pois paguei mais pela categoria escolhida.

Após minhas reclamações, no dia seguinte, fomos transferidos para um quarto ligeiramente maior, mas ainda inferior e no primeiro andar, o que não atendeu às nossas expectativas. Sugeri que devolvessem o valor pago e cobrassem pelo quarto que realmente utilizamos, mas não obtive sucesso.

A situação foi frustrante e desagradável, especialmente com malas e o espaço apertado. Essa experiência não condiz com o que esperava pelo preço pago.

Aguardo um retorno sobre como resolver esta questão.

En la descripción del hotel decía que tiene transporte incluido al cerro catedral y no fue así.
El Jacuzzi no funcionaba, la alberca tenia focos fundidos, el aire del cuarto ruidoso y esta dentro de un fraccionamiento siendo el acceso complicado y lento.

O hotel fica num local belíssimo, com um restaurante e bar com vista para as montanhas e um campo de golfe. Piscina aquecida, sauna. Café da manhã muito bom. Comida do restaurante à noite é boa, mas nada excepcional. O Neuyen e a Carolina são ótimos. Por outro lado me foi cobrada uma cama extra sem que na reserva tenha sido informado de que haveria tal cobrança. Os quartos estavam quentes demais e não conseguíamos diminuir a temperatura. Tivemos que ligar o ar condicionado ! Fora isso as instalações são ótimas , comida muito boa e lugar lindo !!!

La habitación no poseía agua fría, había que dejar corriendo el agua unos 10 minutos para que el agua se enfriara. ya que en ambas canillas salía agua hirviendo.

Desde el primer día me comunique con el hotel para pedir late checkout y es la primera vez en mi vida, en que me dan excusas de que no saben hasta ultimo momento. Recién a las 9 am del día en que me retiraba me dieron una solución, me cambiaron de habitación, mientras no estaba en el hotel.

Hotel e Equipe Incríveis.

Local Incrível. A equipe é super atenciosa e prestativa. Chegamos no hotel as 10h da manhã e já tínhamos todos os quartos liberados para early check in. Quando fomos embora nosso voo era as 23:30h e liberaram um dos 3 quartos para late check out ate as 20h sem custo. O lugar é um espetáculo. Fica dentro de um um condomínio maravilhoso. Melhor restaurante de Bariloche fica no hotel.
