Not used to largish hotel but this one maintains some tranquility.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic but the offering was excellent. The coffee was very good on comparison with other hotel breakfast offerings. A well run hotel where the team know what they need to do and do it well, not an easy thing to achieve. Excellent bed and shower too!

Great hotel and only a short walking distance to the beach. Multiple restaurants within walking distance as well. The staff were nice! I appreciate the small gift they gave my mom for her birthday (a small white wine). It was truly appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel. And a bonus for them to have the option for transportation from airport to hotel and back. It made our transportation much easier.

Nice staff and pool areas. The premier rooms aren't that great. The curtains don't cover the windows and there is no full length mirror (which is essential in my opinion). The rooms are badly laid out. The high table is a waste of space (I can't imagine anyone would sit there). Having the sinks beside the bed isnt ideal and there is clear wear and tear in the room due to cheap finishes. Overall I enjoyed my stay but I am not sure that was worth the room rate.

Perfect stay for a cycling holiday for the Mallorca 312 race. Close to the start line, absolutely cyclist friendly - bikes can go into rooms, cycle kit can be washed for you, breakfast caters for all tastes, loads of fruit, cooked food, yoghurts, cereal. Sauna and swimming pools are amazing as well as massage which can be booked at the reception. staff was wonderful - everything we asked for was possible and doable. I'd definitely stay here again.

Nice spot close to the busy Muro beach
Nice bigger than expected hotel with lots of trees as a peaceful base near the very busy Muro beach, staff are mostly friendly and helpful. Two big pools one adults only which is good for doing lengths and quiet as kids pools get busy. We booked a suite thinking it would have a divisible room (as the photos show) but beware some don’t so we asked to move as we wanted one, which they obliged, but it meant moving from a high room with a nice view to a ground floor dingy/dark room as that’s all they had left. The rooms are ok, the beds are all singles (pushed together) and uncomfortable, some of the sofas are a little old and stained. Food and buffet is fantastic, a good selection and great value for the dinner.

Great staff. We had a suite with a large balcony. Stayed half board and the food was excellent with a large variety to suit most tastes. Enough sun loungers and people didn't seem to reserve them which is a pet peeve. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great setup here. We had a family 4 day break with a 2 bedroom suite. Pools fab for the kids, sunshine all day and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. When they found out it was my daughters birthday they laid out a beautiful reserved breakfast table with sparkling wine and non alcoholic fruit cocktails for the kids and the staff treated us like royalty. In short - amazing trip and we will be back !

The 'view' was virtually non existent, a tiny glimpse of the ocean if you stood up and looked around the barrier of the next balcony. Inside pool was a disappointment but the outdoor lap pool was excellent. The photos on the hotel page are not accurate and several of them are not even of this hotel. The room key card kept erroring out and I got locked out of my room 6 different times, having to go down to the desk and wait 10 minutes each time for them to fix the issue. Nice walking distance to the Beach and several shops. Drab boring room but clean and functional. The bathroom lighting was horrid and no place to be able to do makeup or even see your own face very well. Nice little frig in the room was a plus. The Balcony looking across 45 degrees to another balcony 2 meters away was award when occupants from both rooms want to sit outside.

Relaxing stay at pleasant suite hotel
I stayed here for 3 nights and had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time. Room was really spacious with a large double bedroom and separate living room, overlooking the pool area. Plenty of sunbeds available by the pools and can hire pool towels for the whole stay. The buffet restaurant offered a large variety of good quality food particularly at evening dinner. Staff really friendly and made me feel at home.

We have stayed 1 week in Las Gaviotas and overall we have thoroughly enjoyed the stay, the hotel is very nice,close to the beach and amenities in Playa de Muro. The suite was big enough for us (2 adults and 2 children).
Hotel has several pools,we spent most of the time in the big family one,we have been there mostly in the evening, but it was never very busy, we had enough space to enjoy the time in the pool and to get sun loungers.
We have used several time the gym, fairly small with one bike, one stepper and one runner, plus a bench and some weighs, but it was opened 24h so you could time your visit.
Best thing in the hotel was the food, it was amazing, so much variety and very tasty, both for breakfast and dinner (we had half-board) and it was difficult not to succumb to all those culinary temptations.
Have not used much the spa area, the water in the indoor jacuzzi was slightly colder than expected, while the saunas (both dry and wet) were not hot enough for my taste.

Very relaxing location the beach is amazing. My only thing to say would be there not any music entertainment in the evenings every night. Out of the 8 nights we were there only two nights had music. But apart from that absolutely amazing !!

Fantastic hotel in every way. Undoubtedly a key reason for that is the Staff - they are second to none. I always receive a fantastic welcome for Adele, Lena and Sebastian. They are a great first impression for any guest and are a credit to Las Gaviotas. Actually the Staff in every department are first rate. Very friendly and highly efficient. Rooms are spacious, bright and spotless. Four lovely pools in total. Food is great and again, a fantastic team in the bars and restaurant. This is my favourite hotel int the world - I keep coming back as often as I can! Thanks to all at Las Gaviotas - I can't wait to return!

Just returned from a great trip with my two teenage lads. The hotel was superb, the staff friendly and efficient, huge choice of quality food at mealtime, three lovely pools to choose from and ample sun loungers, two minute walk to a fantastic beach. If you walk to the beach there is a jetty where you can book various boat trips. We also hired quality road bikes for a day from the store across the road and about 500m away, which only cost €18 each for the day (Huerzeler Bicycle Holidays). Finally, our apartment was great with a separate bedroom with twin beds and a good sized lounge with a sofa bed, and a modern large bathroom.

The sourandimg area of this hotel is as much of a disappointment as the hotel itself. Yes it is close to the beach, but it is also next to a Burger King and tick tack shops. The hotel itself is cheap and poorly decorated. The tilling and flooring is of poor quality. They have added a few nice touches, like the small pool at the back of the hotel, which is lovely. But overall this hotel looks and feels like it's been done on the cheap. The breakfast was ok, with a good variety. They charge 3 euro a day to use the safe. And guests are expected to keep the same pool towels for the duration of their stay.
When we arrived we were so disappointed and shocked and the porter who brought our bags to our room hung around for an expected tip, it was embarrassing. This hotel is not a 4 star and we were surprised that the reviews were so good. I would never go back to this hotel, or recommend it to anyone.

We have just returned from our short one week break at Mallorca. The hotel is comfortable, beautifully maintained gardens/pool areas was a pleasure to stay at. The helpful staff could not do more to make us more comfortable. They served my daughter freshly baked gluten free bread in the mornings as soon as we turned up for breakfast! The wide variety of bread, meat, continental and English breakfast was a joy to choose from not to mention the different fruit juices and smoothies and the lovely sparkling wine ( cava) readily available, throughout breakfast!

Spent a lovely week at the hotel - We went bed & breakfast so we weren't tied down to eating all of our meals at the hotel. Breakfast was fantastic, great selection of choice and you can get a glass of champagne if you fancy it! The hotel is opposite the beach and has 3 gorgeous pools.

Quiet hotel in Playa de Muro
This is a good choice for anyone who wants to avoid C'an Picafort or Port de Alcudia. Clientele was mostly older couples or young couples with toddlers. Two pools, a gym, nice restaurant, good food. There's a bus stop just outside if you want to go exploring, and the beach is a couple of hundred metres away. The room was spotless, had comfortable beds and a great bathroom.

Very close to the beach but we were quite happy a lot of the time to relax by one of the hotel swimming pools. Amazing Hotel right in the middle of Playa De Muro. I came for a quiet and relaxing stay and it didn't let me down. I spent most of my time at this hotel at the adults only pool and it was simply bliss. As I said in my title with this hotel I literally could not have asked for more. Every question I asked was met with a warming smile and nothing was too much for people. I had booked a double room and I arrived to find that I had been upgraded to a suite. Which was fab! I can't fault this hotel at all. I was staying as part of my first ever holiday and also I was solo travelling and they just made it so easy for me. Beach is literally a 2-3 min walk up across from the hotel.

It was incredibly good and much better than I had expected. The hotel is fab in terms of cleanliness and comfort where you can relax. The secret is the staff which enjoys their work. Moreover I had the best breakfast in a hotel ever... So many options and tasty! For me is like a 5stars hotel to me once it offers all the imperial conditions that I use to observe/exige. The staff were friendly and cheerful. The hotel had a wonderfully calm and peaceful atmosphere. I very much appreciated the fact that I was not forced to listen to evening entertainment, although perhaps some people may disagree with me on that. I had a standard room rather than a suite but it was more than adequate (I was travelling alone) . I enjoyed the fact that the fridge in my room was empty on arrival. I could have arranged to have a mini bar but I usually find they include lots of things I do not want and not enough of what I do want. This way I could stock it very cheaply as I pleased. Breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. I cannot fault my stay in this hotel.

The hotel is by far the best in the Playa de Muro/Alcudia region. The staff are very friendly and well informed on the local area, the facilities are great and it's kept spotlessly clean.

Condition and style of the hotel was great as were the staff, location was good for the beach but it is also VERY close to bars, restaurants, fast food outlets and a busy road. Good for some, but not for us - far too noisy. We were due to stay for 4 days but checked out after 1 due to uncomfortable beds, having to make up our children's sofa bed ourselves and a lack of in room amenities. Toiletries were of a 3 star standard, paying for the in room safe, hard beds - definitely not 4*. Many have written how good the food is in the buffet but we cannot see why, it was reasonable but that's all and we have has much better in other 4* hotels. We ended up checking out and checking into a 5* for the same price we were paying at Las Gaviotas which was better in every single way possible.

Our family of 4 stayed here in July 2014 and we enjoyed the hotel; it's great pool, nice rooms, large balconies and good food. The pool area was surprisingly quiet and relaxing even if there were some children playing (including ours).

We selected this hotel because it received such good online reviews. We were not disappointed. We took our three teenage children and booked two one bedroom suites. These were ideal. Most of the guests were families with children, of all ages. The pools are excellent. The breakfast and evening meals were also excellent. The food varied every day, there was a huge selection to suit tastes and you could help yourself to as much or little as you wanted. There was never any difficulty sitting where we wanted in the restaurant and the staff were very attentive in serving drinks and clearing away dirty plates etc. The hotel offered a free internet service which was appreciated by the children and the Wi-Fi signal was strong everywhere with plenty of bandwidth.

This hotel is full renovated with a very pleasant personnel. The incredible playas de Muro beach is just 1 minute away, walking distant where kids and so kids will enjoy the no deep and warm water of the Mediterranean Sea. You must check it with your own eyes.

This hotel is clean, modern and the staff are excellent. There is a lovely beach just over the road. The resort itself is mainly based along a busy road which means it lacks the atmosphere and views you might get elsewhere. However, Alcudia and Pollenca are close and seem to be well connected by buses.

Me and my husband decided to stay at this hotel after reading all the reviews online and we weren't disappointed.
We had our room changed from an indoor pool view to an outside mountain view , thanks to this wonderful receptionist named Lina. This other receptionist called Ana was very helpful too.
Our stay was really good, the hotel is literally 2 minutes away from the beach and is very clean.

Minor quibbles - air-conditioning didn't seem to work in our room (but we didn't report to staff as only realised when weather got hotter on last day there), we were given a room near the entrance/road which was a bit noisy at times.

Wonderful hotel with great proximity to the beach
We just returned from our one week stay at Las Gaviotas Suites Hotel. It was a great experience and our stay was made very comfortable by the helpful staff. All our requested needs were met to our satisfaction.
From the onset, the hotel is very well maintained and spotless.
The room was very clean and the housekeeping did a great job of keeping it that way after our daily trips to the beach !
The array of food at breakfast was enjoyable and our daughter thoroughly relished the variety.

Overall a great hotel with great breakfast buffet and decent dinner. Clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Literally 200m to the best beach. Gym facility would need an upgrade. Very please with our stay!

This hotel may be on the main strip in Playa De Muro but inside it is a modern, clean and calm oasis. The rooms are large and comfortable, the staff efficient and friendly and the spa and swimming pools really well maintained. Best of all the food in the main restaurant and at the pool bar is first class with a variety of choice to suit all. The hotel is a great base for the north of the island and we loved every minute of our stay there- oh and I nearly forgot- the beach is just a few minutes walk away and the bus stop for Palma, Alcudia etc is right outside the door

Good quality hotel.
We spent a week here with a 2.5 and 5 year old. The hotel was really good. Clean, efficient. Suite with a sliding door between the living room and the bedroom worked well with young children. The bathroom is off the lounge, so we put the kids to bed in the bedroom and had access to the bathroom, fridge, tv, balcony and front door without having to disturb them. Sofa bed was easy to get out and perfectly comfortable. The breakfast was great, and we ate once in the restaurant in the evening, and the food was as nice as a buffet gets. The children's area of the pool is very small if you have older children. It was quiet when we went and older children were using other parts of the pool that had the children's section. No one seemed to mind that, but I don't know if that would be the case if the pool were busier. It was also fairly chilly in the pool (but I think that was because we went in October). Playa de Muro itself is not like the hotel though. We struggled to find nice restaurants in the evening. We ate twice at the trip advisor number 1 for playa de Muro (nice food, nicer people), but we'd never normally eat twice in the same restaurant. We also felt fleeced for some stuff, for example, at the water park they charged you extra for sunbeds (as though you hadn't paid to get in already!)
