The property is pretty and has a nice view from the back. I was disappointed with the fact that I booked at a higher cost a higher category of a room, but I have no balcony no terrace and I have the view of the gym stairs. I asked to be moved, but there was no other availability And there was only one of the room, but that also had a poor view. If I would’ve gotten one of the smaller rooms, I would’ve had a balcony which I found strange. I also found a very inconvenient that the Wi-Fi was very poor so it was very difficult to communicate. Also, when I would communicate with the Concierge via WhatsApp, it was very difficult to get direct help. I was always receiving numbers to other services which I had to call myself which defeats the purpose of having a concierge. Good at bar and drinks were good. Gym is good. Free breakfast is also a positive.

Lovely hotel in great location. Recepton staff very good. Breakfast staff chatted amonst themselves all morning. Spa area is really poorly designed. Walk through the pool area and downstairs with dirty shoes to a tiny \"changing room\" which is a few showers and toilets with a stool outside. And door opens directly on to reception area so no privacy for changing. Swimmers also drip down the stairs so an accident waiting to happen!! Some gym equipment broken. And the gym and pool don't open until 11am!!!!! Why? Not supervised so just open before breakfast!

We had a great stat at Alma! The friendly service at the front desk and upstairs at the restaurant was especially nice. Its summer, and we are used to US air conditioning, so the staff was kind enough to bring us a fan to help us sleep at night. Breakfast was very nice, room was clean, bed comfortable. The views from the balcony were simply amazing!

Extremely noisy--you can not sleep

Stay away if you want to sleep.
Rude and horrible service.
I booked standard room and the room face to a very busy road (you can look on map) the Nois can not let you to sleep at all!.
On top of that there was nois from wall of water.
No power outlet by the bed.
You can charge your phone in shower.
After a few hours I ask to replace room then the ride guy from reception offer me with an extra 40,000 ars to an upgrade to lake view.
The price for this room in expidia was 20,000 more then a standard room.
And that was at 00:30. Then we got a new room at level - 1 and still was very noisy. And bed can fit to 12 year old kid l.
Please do your self a huge favor and look for a better one.

Thinks it’s a top hotel.

Reserved two nights. Weather forced us to leave after one. Youngster at front counter said “no refunds, it’s in the contract.” I explained I didn’t want a refund, I wanted a room credit for when we planned to return in two weeks.

“Nope. Call this number, maybe they’ll think about that.”

Our flight got canceled, so we used the second night as originally planned. But, I don’t stay where policies are abusive.

No air condition could cause some comfort issues. Since it’s hot and stuffy, you can either open your window or use a portable fan that is provided in the room. The fan is noisy, which would make sense. However, opening the window (if your room faces the street) just invites even more noise into your room.

The staff don’t appear to be very friendly, particularly the front desk staff. Very monotone, very unwelcoming.

But the rooms are clean… so that’s good.

There is not A/C in this Hotel, and the windows do not have a insect screen in case you want to cool the room down by opening the window. It was a poor choice they made to not include an A/C unit per room in case some passengers required it.

Overall, a fabulous hotel with the most amazing views of the lake. We really enjoyed our stay, and the cocktails at the bar were amazing, although they did run out of tequila on the second night, but this seemed to be common in the town. The rooms do not have air conditioning, but if you like to fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves like we do, then leave the window open overnight.
Staff were friendly, although when we were checking out and questioned a charge on the bill, we couldn’t get a straight answer as to what it was for. We stated we refused to pay it unless they could tell us what it was, so they eventually removed it from the bill (somewhat reluctantly). You do need to pay the eco tax in cash though, that is legit. Enjoyed our stay though and would stay again!

The best thing this hotel has is the view, at arrival i informed the staff that expedia had sent me a mail where I was to get late check in and a discount on hotel restaurant charges. Not only did they not have any information about this but ask me to produce this e mail. I had erased the email but after much looking found it in my reservation at the expedia website. They acknowledge it but called us on the day of check out to ask if we really needed the late check out! We had already told them our flight was late and we could use the extra two hours.
It is a nice hotel but there are many others around. Bariloche is beautiful and a must see.

A very enjoyable stay!

The location of the hotel is very good, the staff was excellent! They were friendly, helpful, and professional. They would out of their way to try to please. The one disappointment for us that visited during their Summer time in mid-February was that they did not have air conditioning in their beautiful rooms! We realize that their summer days are a lot less than their Winter and Fall days, however, the temperatures were rather warm, so had to request stand up fans.

This is my second review as my first expedia review was rejected because I called out a specific staff member for their terrible service and attitude. Basically the front desk staff are awful, unhelpful, and were even insulting. The included breakfast is plentiful but bad. Convenient walking distance to the center of Bariloche without having to be in the city center.

This hotel is NOT a four or five star hotel.
At our arrival, there was no one to help us carry our luggage. There is no air conditioning units! Water flow at showers is unpredictable - goes from cold stream to steaming hot in a flash! All service personnel is mediocre, not the greatest customer service. Construction site next door, too noisy.
According to their unannounced policy there are no ironing boards available nor irons. Everything is considered \"extra\"; we called room service and requested a wine opener and we were informed that opening a bottle of wine in our room will cause \"an extra charge\" even if we were not going to use any public area at the hotel! we requested a plate to use at our room...guess what... that too is considered \"an extra\" their policy is to get as much extra money as possible.

Could have been great..

While the facilities are nice, the location walking distance to town, the staff are not trying to make our stay special. We booked a suite with two double beds and payed more than double a standard room. The space is basically a typical double room with a lake view. It was my husband, myself and our adult son. We arrived at 12:30am with a delayed flight.We were told we had to pay $70 extra for him to stay in our room. We told the front desk that we would book a second room for the next two nights. The desk staff told us he would waive the extra fee for one night but would charge us the next two nights. We booked another room. When we checked out, we were charged $140 extra for the first night even though we were told it would be waived. It took a decently strong response to not pay even after we explained that it was waived and we booked anoth room for two nights. More than anything, the attitude was to Nickel and dime us and not make us feel welcome. Oh well. The surrounding area of Bariloche is gorgeous . There are a lot of options out side the city that make more sense as long as one rents a car. Alma's facilities are nice but we left with a bad taste in our mouths.

Everything was terrific. Great property, beautiful views, clean - clean - clean, terrific breakfast, wonderful staff, great pool and work-out room (but your work-out should be in the mountains of Patagonia), walking distance of Center of Bariloche. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable. If you are thinking of staying here - DO IT!!!
Did not eat dinner in the dining room - no comment on that aspect.

Very good hotel. Nice, clean and quit. most of the stuff was really nice and helpful exept two guys at the reception that where not nice and patients at all. We stayed there 7 nights. The lake side is quit and beautiful but the other side is close to the main road. some of the room have door between them and you will hear everything from the other room, thats why I gave only 4 stars of room comfort. Generaly good hotel in sane price.

Perfect Bariloche Location

We visited Bariloche as part of our honeymoon and found it to be an incredible value for the money. This is a luxury hotel on a priceless piece of property. the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking and the room was wonderful complete with jacuzzi tub overlooking the lake. The location is nice because its right on the edge of downtown with easy walk to everywhere, but not noisy. Don't miss Parrilla Don Molina for amazing food right down the road. The staff was kind and courteous although not always helpful in arranging activities or with recommendations.
