We stayed in the \"(larger) accessible king room,\" and it exceeded all expectations! The room looks like it was recently remodeled, with new fridge, microwave, bedding, etc. The free continental breakfast was an added bonus. The friendly and knowledgeable staff was great. This will be the only hotel I stay at any time I find myself back in Hollister!

It was grimy and hasn't been painted/updated in a LONG time. Stains on walls. Toilet paper holders are the kind that are in public restrooms that don't let you pull the damn paper. Definitely overpriced for what it was.

Parking was fine. Didn't use the breakfast. Last year the hotel was renovated and much better. Room 109 didn't seem to benefit from the renovation. Carpet was stained in many places. Iron had 'burned' on someone's clothing leaving residue on the iron. Towel rack and t.paper rack was rusted. Tub caulking was deteriorated. Tub was badly stained! Water did not drain properly. Water not draining well does it for me! Service was friendly. One of the maids did a superb job--different than others, but I can't remember which day that was.

Motel with exterior halls and stairs on outskirts of town. Room was clean, but there were stains on the bottom of the tub. I did not feel completely safe with the exterior access to the room. However, our stay was fine, and we had no problems. If you are looking for clean and basic, this is it.

The rooms were clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The staff was so friendly and great and they did get the swimming pool back up and functioning and it looked nice and clean. The breakfast was good, and offered enough for what it is suppose to do. The entire facility and rooms are dated, and it shows. But over all it was a great place to stay for 5 days. Improvements needed around the building to make it look cleaner and rooms need an update as far as carpet. My room was recently painted in my opinion and that gave it a more bright atmosphere. There is a lot of construction people using the facility so I am sure it is showing its age.

This best western did not compare to any other best western I’ve stayed in and was extremely overpriced for what it was.

Breakfast was nice. Hotel could use some updates for sure. Shower was great. Didn’t like that they required a deposit from me in cash because the card that the reservation was prepaid under wasn’t mine. Parking was convenient. Staff was nice otherwise. Pool was freezing!

Spend the extra money to stay elsewhere

It served it's purpose, but i would not stay here again. The shower looked dirty and needed to be scrubbed. There was old soap on the shower shelves. I use shower gel so i didn't need to put soap on there. The towels were clean but thin. They need to be replaced. The walls in the shower area need to be wiped down as well. The toilet paper was touching my hip when i sat down. I literally had to lean to the side to get toilet paper.
I would've left, but i booked through hotels.com, and it was non-refundable.
The bed and pillows were comfy.

A Clean, Comfortable, and Quiet Stay

A clean, comfortable, and quiet hotel room for the right price... but a bit tired. A few upgrades would greatly enhance the Sure Stay experience. The carpeting needs a deep cleaning or replacement. The TV service is The Dish, which has a very limited selection of channels and regularly loses its signal. The toilet paper holders are rusty. The staff is excellent. They are kind, courteous, and helpful. I appreciate the help I received when I had to checkout a day early due a change in my work schedule. I appreciate being able to park right adjacent to my room. The paper coffee cups in the room are very cute... black and white striped!

I would chose another hotel/motel

The breakfast was poor quality and didnt have good options. The \"OJ\" was clear. Beds werent comfortable. In the shower there were two bottles of body wash (which was the same as the so called hand wash next to the sink) and no shampoo or conditioner. There were eyelashes stuck to the mirror which means it clearly wasnt cleaned (i took a picture but this review wont let me add it). The TV was very hard to manage, couldnt type in a channel, had to scroll one by one. There was another occupant who was screaming all night. The only positive thing i can say is that 2 out of the 3 staff i dealt with were extremely friendly, Chawntell (i am so sorry I'm sure i spelled that incorrectly) and Kevin. I dealt with Chawntell at night when i checked in. She had a smile on her face and was friendly and helpful. I dealt with Kevin at breakfast the following morning. He was also very friendly and wish he had been the one to check us out. He patiently answered our questions. I'm pretty sure all the poor things i mentioned are things beyond these two employees control, so i hope this review doesnt reflect badly on them

Room was not great for $172/nt. Cigarette burns in the carpet, and everything was dusty. We requested rooms near each other, they were on opposite sides. Breakfast was ok but the room barely fit 10 people and was already full.

I thought it was a nice place for what I needed. The facility is dated but it was very nice and clean. The staff there were great and very friendly. The breakfast was nice and nothing fancy, but that was the expectation. There was all the necessities for quick grab and go. The location was great as you could get anywhere from that location. I thought is was a great place if you are looking for an inexpensive place to sleep. The pool area is nice to just relax and read. I would stay there again for sure.

My grandson loves the pool there. There is a grill by the pool that is nice. The breakfast needs to involve protein. There were boiled eggs in a fridge, the only protein. There was cereal, yogurt and do-it-yourself waffles. No bacon, sausage or scrambled eggs. As for the room, it reeked of bleach and mildew. They should have aired it out and left the fan on. The tubs are huge, though. Very relaxing.

The handicap bathroom was poorly designed. The shower flooded the majority of the tile floor. My husband thought he had wiped up most of the water up but he ended up slipping and falling. Staff was totally indifferent. We had no way to file an accident report with them. They gave us a business card. We have not heard from management even though we were told the manager had been notified.
