The hotel is not as pictured. When we arrived the whole hotel was covered in berries that fell from the trees. It was clear that no one was concerned about cleaning it up. As we walked through the berries with our bags, when we went into our room and looked into the shower & the bottom of the shower was black. We asked for another room and upon taking a closer look the toilet was dirty. This is not a well maintained hotel at all. The hotel breakfast was also pretty gross. No one cleans here. Will not stay here again.

We loved this hotel! The room was very clean and comfortable! The courtyard was so beautiful! Loved all the olive trees! The breakfast was just perfect! The service was great! We did the pre check in so the actual check in was a breeze! We were on the bottom floor so we did hear our upstairs neighbors a couple of times but nothing that would prevent us from going back! Can’t wait for our next visit! We had a lovely visit!

Horrible stay. First room had stains on the bed, so we were moved to another room. However, the TV wasn't working and the AC kept turning on by itself. To make matters worse, staff wasn't helpful and claimed he didn’t have a manager's phone number to contact, but it was a lie. Not impressed with the service or cleanliness…

They were not out of hand, but their voices carried.. Took out hearing aids. It was a good stay overall, would stay again. Only thing is the room has some damage no smoke detector and damage near door on the wall, we let staff knew as soon as we go in. My only other thing to note is for the price we're paying they should have clearer shower heads. Our looked a little run down. This is my favorite hotel to stay at when I’m in the area! Beautiful property, clean rooms with a rustic feel, you get a sample of wine and the staff are always great! Kathie the front desk gal is so nice and she’s always too funny! Great to come back to a friendly face! I’d suggest a wine night cap by the fire pit before bed!

This hotel has a cool retro-Spanish theme. There's a vineyard and olive trees in the courtyard. There's also a cozy fire pit shielded from the wind that Cathy at the front desk kindly lit for us. The 156 is a major road, but there is a signal light and pedestrian crossing. From there, it's a short walk along the Alameda to the historic part of town. There are artisan shops, restaurants, the old mission, a grocery store, and a coffee roaster. The coffee roaster also serves food and beer. In the other direction, you can drive up Fremont peak. There's a state park at the top with camping and views overlooking Salinas. It's about a one-hour drive to Pinnacles National Park. This hotel is set up as a venue for weddings and similar gatherings. There wasn't anything like that going on during our stay. The neighboring property has goats and chickens. The bathroom window effectively blocked the sound, and it was noticeable but not disturbing with the window open.

The room is a great, very spacious! Loved the king size bed! It had a mini fridge, microwave, clothes steamer! The bathroom vanity was large which is great to share! The shower tile could have been deep cleaned better and the towels are due to be updated (small and scratchy). However this hotel had a charming courtyard and was close proximity to a great coffee shop, loved being able to walk there in the morning!

Hacienda is definitely a unique hotel. For the price, it was definitely worth it. Typical continental breakfast included and rating of over 9 for sure got my attention. The are around the hotel itself is okay. There is really nothing there to do. As for the hotel itself, I think it is fair that I could give a hard 8/10. Overall clean, fairly quiet and reasonably priced.

An unfortunate negative was being woken by barnyard animals from just across the parking lot. I was aware there was a goat, who's bleets were charming at 6pm. The rooster was an unknown neighbor who proudly welcomed the new day at 6am prompting the goat to join in the revelry.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The property is well maintained and cute. The location is very convenient, right off highway 156, but the neighborhood right past it is a little sketchy, though we had no issues at all.
My only complaints are: the towels aren't great & our room didn't get serviced during our two night stay. Otherwise good choice and best choice given the limited options in the area.

I’ve stayed here multiple times and it’s a great hotel. Great breakfast. Walking distance to San Juan Bautista, the Mission and all the great shops.
The staff is always friendly checking in and out is always easy and pleasant.
Only things I did not like were..
Once there was no coffee maker.

It had a nice patio. Breakfast set up was disorganized. Workers forgot to put out ketchup, tabasco, salt and pepper. Made for bland eggs. Coffee pot had sign that said Decaf and it was regular coffee. Room had a moldy/musky smell. No air freshener. Only one cappuccino mini cup for 2 guests. I guess we were supposed to share. WAY overpriced weekend rate.

Very nice MOTEL
I was allowed to check in a little early, as it wasn't very full or busy. The Hacienda theme was nice, but it still conveyed a motel-like feel. The staff was efficient, not overly friendly, but I've had better quality breakfasts at some lesser-priced motels. Not sure I would pay their premium price again, as I would have just as good accommodations and service at a cheaper hotel in Gilroy.

I had a great stay here! Only thing I would say is that the walls are a little thin. We could hear the people next to us and in the courtyard but nothing to crazy. They have complimentary breakfast (which we didn’t make it to) and free wifi so always a plus!

This is our third time staying here and we’ve been very happy with the value this hotel has to offer. It’s a restoration of an older place and it has been done masterfully. Beautiful grounds, heavy hardwood furnishings. But we were put off by two things. One, the light bulbs were not all functioning, one was flickering and unusable and one of the vanity lights not working at all, making for a very dim lighting. And the two bulbs that were working were different colors, which just makes it look cheap. Very simple fix-why wasn’t this done? Also, the towels are cheap, thin and scratchy. A place this nice should have soft and large bath towels.

This property was good and unique-looking, but can use some improvements. The area the property is quiet and close to their downtown. The room was clean, had a decent-sized fridge, the bed was comfortable (a big thing for us), and a simple breakfast (eggs, sausage, and rosemary potatoes as the hot items). They also had a few pastries, bread, a assortment of drinks, and bagels. Our complaints are the loud air conditioning, the broken keurig which leaked water everywhere, our late checkout not being relayed to housekeeping, one of our keys not being programmed, the front desk not knowing information about where our room was, and our keys not working by 9am (check out is at 11am).
