Unit is very outdated. Microwave was old and lots of rust. Rust was flaking off. Coffee machine also outdated with real old Coffee pouches. Floor rug was old and torn. TV was old with no cable not working.
Cracked heads and homeless hanging outside. Neighboring hookers greeting me every time I walked out.
Furniture had stains, dressers with no knots.
Pictures on the website are deceiving.

Honestly this place was horrible. Walked into our room to it smelling like mold. Had to fight the window open to air it out. Everything was super outdated. I kid you not every single piece of furniture was missing knobs. We got 4 towels total. 2 body towels, 2 face towels. One of the body towels had two holes, with one hole big enough to fit my arm through. Went to the front desk to ask for more, they said they were all out, and they could have someone bring towels in the morning (when we checked out). The TV would only turn on and off and displayed “Welcome to the bay park hotel” and even the buttons on the tv were messed up. The volume controlled the channel lol. We eventually just gave up with the tv. There was bright red hair in the shower drain and the water wouldn’t drain so we felt disgusting even getting in the shower at all. We wished we had brought shower shoes. The outlets wouldn’t hold a plug so we had to charge our electronics in the bathroom. The breakfast had no protein other than the pre packaged hard boiled eggs that were warm to the touch and weren’t sitting in the fridge the whole morning. Same with the yogurt. During our stay our card to the room stopped working and we had to take 3 trips to the front desk to have it resolved because she got the room number wrong despite having to verify my info to pull up our stay (didn’t have our wallets because we went to breakfast). The floors were also so dirty they made my white socks turn almost black.

The room was clean enough. The bed was extra soft which may be good for some folks. There were bottles hanging in the bathroom that should have had soap, shampoo and conditioner. They were empty.
One of the amenities I was most looking forward to using was the hot tub and the pool. Both were closed and looked as though they had been for some time. Just don't LIST THINGS that don't work!
I didn't use the breakfast. It looked ok. Mostly bread and waffles and coffee but slightly better than the usual pre-packaged Danishes you would find at many places.
Overall, you get what you pay for.

The receptionist when checking in was great! She was the only good thing. Room smelled funny. We rented the suite. Carpet was disgusting. There were blood stains throughout the rooms with a big one in one of the closets. There was blood behind one of the sinks that wasn't cleaned up. Hair in the shower. Several of the towels were stained. Pool and hot tub were out of commission not that i would have dared to get into it. The \"continential\"breakfast consisted of things you put in a toaster to warm up and some cereal. It was pretty sad. But you get what you pay for. Go on the cheap and this is what you get. Totally disgusting.

When I first arrive the staff who helped me it was pretty kind, the room was kind of clean the carpet looked like dirty, the hot tub wasn't working the pool was open but it was a little dirty, the breakfast it was ok they had cereal bagels juice muffins coffe and some other things, the area of the hotel was pretty calm I would recommend this hotel

Our room was just gross. The corners everywhere in the room had hair and grossness. The plaster was coming off of the walls. The dresser was missing knobs. No way I was going to shower there. My husband did and all lhe said was yeah, it was how you'd expect from this place. So... bad. We had a fine time checking in and out. for breakfast, we didn't eat it, but it seemed pretty bare bones. We went in there just go get some water for the road, and there was no water anywhere in the breakfast area. Nothing. I would never stay here again.

We also called a couple of days prior to ask if they could provide us with an additional bed in the room and they told us they could, but buy the time we checked in they didn’t have any roll-in beds available anymore. The pool was fine, the hot tub just didn’t work. I wouldn’t mind staying here again though

Spent too long in Monterrey and had to find a last minute stay. I would not come here again. I dont know how this place has high ratings. The room was not cleaned, there was trash on the corners under the sink, the bathroom floor was full of hairs. No towels or floor mat for the bathroom floor. Water got all over the floor. The towels were thin and on their last leg with stains that made me question if they were even washed. The bed has a metal skirt that makes the loudest noise and u hit it just getting close to the bed. Thankfully the sheets were clean, we really inspected that.

The shell of there AC unit fell on my dogs head and smacked the piss out the poor guy and left him unresponsive for almost a minute and when I splashed water on him to try and get him to wake up he ran around in a scared and confused panic they also charge a $100 dollar deposit and only allow Bank of America and chase cards to pay no cash,chime or less know banks they don’t have a sign up they just tell you it’s motel policy and the staff is very rude and unfair to customers who use a third party app to pay for a reservation they give you the worst rooms even on a empty day

Please be aware when you have to put a deposit down they do not accept cash and state that they do not accept certain banks so if you already have a reservation here on Expedia, make sure that you go ahead and call the office to make sure they accept your type of bank to make $100 deposit. We learned this the hard way being out of towners. We also found the room was not cleaning there was an acrylic nail that obviously did not belong to me and the bathroom was filthy. Definitely would not come here again and would not recommend this to anybody with children. There was heavy traffic of drug addicts all around making loud noise was unable to sleep all night, and there was no safety latch in our room.

Staff was very nice, check in was easy enough, the hot tub was drained and not usable, not that we would have gone in it anyways, the room was disgusting, mildew/ mold, cockroachs, dirty, and the microwave was the dirtiest microwave i have ever seen, and there was some for sure illegal activities going on in a few rooms, definitely didn't feel safe even parking there, do yourself a favor and spend a little more and go somewhere else.

The biggest disappointment in this day was that the pool was closed and hot tub was drained. I would say that my stay decision was based about 25% on those amenities. The top it off the bathtub was in need of repair and could only be used as a shower. There was no opportunity to soak my bones. The room was generally clean although it had kind of a funky smell. The property was pretty clean the grounds looked to be well kept. It was spring break for the California higher education system, so there was a lot of noise throughout the night. It was a value for the money but it would have been a greater value at the amenities been in working order.

This place was terrible the first room they gave me the door didn’t work so the upgraded me but not sure it was an upgrade 3 of the 4 light bulbs were burnt out. Room smells like cigarettes there was a cigarette but in the bathroom window which had no screen so we had bugs in the room. The room didn’t have hot water when I called the front desk she said there wasn’t anything they can do. I asked for a refund and they said I would have to check out and ask hotel.com for the refund

Went here with my family (my husband, myself, and our three girls) and we will never go back. The actual layout of the inn makes no sense. The breakfast options are all stale bread, and the room itself was the worst we've ever stayed in. I have a huge allergy to mold and between the first hour my skin started to act up and then came the stuffiness. I knew something wasn't right when my youngest got very stuffy and complained of a headache randomly. We finally went to the restroom and there it was. Black mold caked on the entire window and bathtub. Awful. Not to mention, non of the drawers have handles, I cut my leg on a screw sticking out of the dresser holding the TV since all the knobs are missing, my daughter stepped on a nail since the carpet was ripped up and the under carpet padding was showing. There was no sense of cleanliness besides clean sheets. The carpet was sticky and black and made out shoes sticky, there was pop corn all over one of the beds and floor, a lighter under the desk and black dust all over the bathroom sink. Not to mention the TV remote was broken and when asked for batteries we had to go get them. My husband and I hardly slept as the neighbors were in and out all night slamming their door, cussing, cars squealing in and out of the parking lot. The same truck with a loud glass tail pipe drove through more than ten times being incredibly loud and the homeless community outside was incrediblly loud around 2-3am as they argued for an hour outside.

The attendant first said they had no first floor rooms as was our preference. The first room they gave us, the cards didn’t work then when the attendant finally let us in there was water coming out of the mini fridge covering most of the bathroom floor. He offered to wipe it dry but when we opened it there was a huge chunk of ice melting so we pointed out that it would just keep melting he reluctantly offered us another room (on the first floor).

**Extremely dirty room.** Cleaning powder from the previous guest was not vacuumed and was visible throughout the entire room. The new bedding was clean on first glance, but looking further revealed some hardened oil/pore discharge (most likely a popped blackhead or pimple) *on the bedsheet.* My room also had oily cup marks on the desk, and shockingly enough, a shattered television. The curtains were also partially broken and as a result, couldn’t be closed all the way.

The bathroom was relatively clean, but had multiple dead bugs in the ceiling lamp, making it nauseating to even look at it.

Place seems rundown. Room was clean, yet the overall experience unpleasant. Microwave was old, worn out & kept turning off. No extra blankets. Mildew in the caulking of the shower. Room was not vacuumed very well. The breakfast was the most minimal I’ve had at a hotel, they had one toaster so everyone was waiting around to use it because that was the only way to eat something warm. Hardboiled eggs was the only protein.

The day we left, I found mouse droppings on our bedding. I let the lady at the front desk know, and she did not even seem phased or concerned. She said she would let management know. I heard the beep from smoke alarms going off in rooms below our room, and that went on the whole time we were there. This happened to one of our relatives staying in a different room as well. He spa also Had a really bad smell in his room and the front desk was not interested in helping him out with it. I was embarrassed that we were all staying in this hotel, I wish we had chosen a different one for our family event.

Down by our room was a disconnected ice machine and a trashcan, and there were rats in the trashcan. Seems like they need to get some rodent pest control. Also inconvenient to have to go to the pool area to get ice! The hot tub was shut down, which is the only thing that you would want to use in the middle of the winter in Salinas. I will not stay here again!

The room had cob webs, the TV didn’t work, you had to unplug the microwave in order to use the coffee maker, no hooks anywhere to hang things on, asked twice for extra hand towels, and got wash cloths instead. No Kleenex and nowhere in the bathroom to set things down on.

The room's lock was not working. Every time we had to call maintenance staff to get inside, once we go out for breakfast or dinner. We had to walk three or four times up and down to get the keys sorted. We were in second floor, hence that was not preferred after a long day of travel.
