The out side of the motel needs attention. The lobby area is not as obvious as it could be. The continental breakfast was sub sub par. On the positive side my room had new tv new bed, new air conditioner, new bathtub fairly new carpet and freshly painted. The towel setting was just adequate. The rate was good when compared to the other motels in the area. If they put some effort into restoring the outside and placing a sign on the lobby area and give at least one more bath towel and wash rag it would be 3 and a half star. And improve the breakfast or just do not advertise that you have one.

Was really surprised with how big the room was! 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms were really nice for my family of 4. The room decor and furniture is old but beds were very comfortable. The sofa bed however did not look like linens had been changed out so we had to request clean ones. Staff was great and very friendly!

I attempted an early check-in and waited for my room instead since they claimed to be full. But when I finally got my room, the floor was noticeably damaged, paint poor and peeling, and none of the outlets worked. I called to have the room changed and remarkably was given a room of remarkable difference.

I had an interesting experience here. It wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t consider it to be a pleasant stay either. Upon arriving at 7pm to check in I was told that my room wasn’t ready and that I had to wait another 15 minutes. Keep in mind this was on a Sunday night and I had booked two nights in advance. When I stepped into my room I noticed inside of the bathroom that the handle was missing from the sliding glass door of the shower. Also the toilet did not flush very well. The heater/ac unit wasn’t working properly so we had a difficult time keeping the room warm. The price of this experience is my main issue. For what I paid I would expect my room to be fully operational and in tact upon my arrival and it would be nice to have a smooth check in when booking in advance and checking in at a later time of the day.

Terrible. Staff was not welcoming. Check-in was 3 PM. I arrived at 4 PM. I was told my room was not ready and still being cleaned. I was told to come back when they gave me a call when the room is ready. We have been traveling and we’re tired and needed to use the restroom. We went to a nearby store to waste time by 5 PM. I never received a call that my room was ready, so I returned back to the lobby. She said they still weren’t finished, but they were just gonna add towels. She proceeded to give me my key but told me I could wait outside my room. I complained about having to wait because we were tired. The front desk girl never apologized. She seemed annoyed by me. Upon arriving show our room which was in the back of the hotel, I noticed the parking lot was unkept, and messy with trash on the floor. Our room was OK, but it appears to be cleaned fast so you can see the floors were not mopped correctly. The bathroom seemed outdated. Like it can use some upgrades. The chair in the sitting area was covered in stains. I give this place a D-because had the staff been just a little bit apologetic I could’ve overlooked everything else. The hotel, neighborhood seemed too ghetto. The food in that town was not great. I’ll never stay in Salinas, or at the Laurel hotel again.

Esta muy sucio . Había cucarachas , mucho cabello en el pozo, no había jabón para lavar las manos , había mucho polvo en la habitación , el inodoro o taza del baño estaba sucia .

Para desayuno , solo había pan, yogur jugo de naranja y café .
Lamentablemente fue una muy mala experiencia en este hotel . No lo recomiendo para nada . Completamente diferente a lo que enseñan en las fotos.

Our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The room smelled strongly of humidity and mildew from the moment we walked in, and it felt dirty and uncomfortable. We also found small cockroaches in the bathroom, which was completely unacceptable. On top of that, the electrical outlets didn’t work, making it difficult to charge our devices. To make things worse, the continental breakfast was very bad, with poor quality food and very little variety. I would definitely not stay here again or recommend this hotel to anyone.

The breakfast was good and included, I apppreciate that. My room was clean and the bathroom was renovated. My water was very cold in the night and morning. When I told staff about the water they were upset with me. I didn't want anything my stay was quick. So, I didn't understand why they had attitude when I was just informing them I didn't have any warm water. They said that they knew about the issue and that the water heater doesn't reach to the farther rooms. So, I'm thinking if they're aware of this issue why are they booking people back there? The place was empty. Why did they place me in a room they know there's an unresolved issue and then get upset with me for informing them about this issue. My guess is that many people complain about having to shower in very cold water and they are impatient with everyone complaining about it.

The room was dirty, with hair from previous tenants visible in almost every area of the room. The walls were extremely thin and the door connecting ours to the adjoining room did not have a functioning lock, so the Motel simply put a piece of furniture in front of it. Vomit was present on the sidewalk outside of our room and the breakfast was a disappointment. I have nothing positive to share about this property. Would not stay here again.

I’ve stayed at this location multiple times over the past decade, and unfortunately, the decline in maintenance is very noticeable. During my most recent stay in what was advertised as a “Premium Fireplace Suite,” several issues stood out.

There was no hot water from the sink, which is a basic expectation. The drapes were torn off the rods in both the bedroom and living room. The fireplace—one of the key features of the suite—did not work. On the second night, there was no WiFi available at all. The carpeting throughout the suite was not only worn but ripped and visibly unclean—to the point where my feet literally stuck to the floor. Additionally, the closet door was completely missing, leaving only the hinges behind.

Overall, the condition of the room fell far below what would be expected, especially for a premium suite. It’s disappointing to see a property I’ve returned to for years no longer being properly maintained.

Honestly this place was horrible. Walked into our room to it smelling like mold. Had to fight the window open to air it out. Everything was super outdated. I kid you not every single piece of furniture was missing knobs. We got 4 towels total. 2 body towels, 2 face towels. One of the body towels had two holes, with one hole big enough to fit my arm through. Went to the front desk to ask for more, they said they were all out, and they could have someone bring towels in the morning (when we checked out). The TV would only turn on and off and displayed “Welcome to the bay park hotel” and even the buttons on the tv were messed up. The volume controlled the channel lol. We eventually just gave up with the tv. There was bright red hair in the shower drain and the water wouldn’t drain so we felt disgusting even getting in the shower at all. We wished we had brought shower shoes. The outlets wouldn’t hold a plug so we had to charge our electronics in the bathroom. The breakfast had no protein other than the pre packaged hard boiled eggs that were warm to the touch and weren’t sitting in the fridge the whole morning. Same with the yogurt. During our stay our card to the room stopped working and we had to take 3 trips to the front desk to have it resolved because she got the room number wrong despite having to verify my info to pull up our stay (didn’t have our wallets because we went to breakfast). The floors were also so dirty they made my white socks turn almost black.

The room was clean enough. The bed was extra soft which may be good for some folks. There were bottles hanging in the bathroom that should have had soap, shampoo and conditioner. They were empty.
One of the amenities I was most looking forward to using was the hot tub and the pool. Both were closed and looked as though they had been for some time. Just don't LIST THINGS that don't work!
I didn't use the breakfast. It looked ok. Mostly bread and waffles and coffee but slightly better than the usual pre-packaged Danishes you would find at many places.
Overall, you get what you pay for.

The receptionist when checking in was great! She was the only good thing. Room smelled funny. We rented the suite. Carpet was disgusting. There were blood stains throughout the rooms with a big one in one of the closets. There was blood behind one of the sinks that wasn't cleaned up. Hair in the shower. Several of the towels were stained. Pool and hot tub were out of commission not that i would have dared to get into it. The \"continential\"breakfast consisted of things you put in a toaster to warm up and some cereal. It was pretty sad. But you get what you pay for. Go on the cheap and this is what you get. Totally disgusting.

Our room was just gross. The corners everywhere in the room had hair and grossness. The plaster was coming off of the walls. The dresser was missing knobs. No way I was going to shower there. My husband did and all lhe said was yeah, it was how you'd expect from this place. So... bad. We had a fine time checking in and out. for breakfast, we didn't eat it, but it seemed pretty bare bones. We went in there just go get some water for the road, and there was no water anywhere in the breakfast area. Nothing. I would never stay here again.

Spent too long in Monterrey and had to find a last minute stay. I would not come here again. I dont know how this place has high ratings. The room was not cleaned, there was trash on the corners under the sink, the bathroom floor was full of hairs. No towels or floor mat for the bathroom floor. Water got all over the floor. The towels were thin and on their last leg with stains that made me question if they were even washed. The bed has a metal skirt that makes the loudest noise and u hit it just getting close to the bed. Thankfully the sheets were clean, we really inspected that.

The shell of there AC unit fell on my dogs head and smacked the piss out the poor guy and left him unresponsive for almost a minute and when I splashed water on him to try and get him to wake up he ran around in a scared and confused panic they also charge a $100 dollar deposit and only allow Bank of America and chase cards to pay no cash,chime or less know banks they don’t have a sign up they just tell you it’s motel policy and the staff is very rude and unfair to customers who use a third party app to pay for a reservation they give you the worst rooms even on a empty day

Please be aware when you have to put a deposit down they do not accept cash and state that they do not accept certain banks so if you already have a reservation here on Expedia, make sure that you go ahead and call the office to make sure they accept your type of bank to make $100 deposit. We learned this the hard way being out of towners. We also found the room was not cleaning there was an acrylic nail that obviously did not belong to me and the bathroom was filthy. Definitely would not come here again and would not recommend this to anybody with children. There was heavy traffic of drug addicts all around making loud noise was unable to sleep all night, and there was no safety latch in our room.

Staff was very nice, check in was easy enough, the hot tub was drained and not usable, not that we would have gone in it anyways, the room was disgusting, mildew/ mold, cockroachs, dirty, and the microwave was the dirtiest microwave i have ever seen, and there was some for sure illegal activities going on in a few rooms, definitely didn't feel safe even parking there, do yourself a favor and spend a little more and go somewhere else.

The biggest disappointment in this day was that the pool was closed and hot tub was drained. I would say that my stay decision was based about 25% on those amenities. The top it off the bathtub was in need of repair and could only be used as a shower. There was no opportunity to soak my bones. The room was generally clean although it had kind of a funky smell. The property was pretty clean the grounds looked to be well kept. It was spring break for the California higher education system, so there was a lot of noise throughout the night. It was a value for the money but it would have been a greater value at the amenities been in working order.
