We stayed here for a trip to Monterey Bay and had a decent experience. The customer service during check-in was fantastic—super welcoming and helpful! Checkout was a breeze, parking was decent, and the fact that it's pet-friendly was a huge bonus.

The grounds weren't as maintained as I would have liked, and the rooms were nice but could use a modern upgrade. However, for the excellent price and location, it was a comfortable stay. Great budget-friendly option!

This is a good property with minimal amenities.it is a property that you can stay one night but no more,there is no coffee maker or iron in room,tv is very small and the beds have a metal frame with springs that make a lot of noise if you move

I reserved a first floor room for my husband knees issues. The room smells like dogs and combined with garbage. Then only great thing it was a yound lady Jessica. She was nice and kind . She was able to give me another decent room. Then the next day the room guests card won't work , the roo.m\" phone dead, no able to communicate to the front desk. Horrible experiences. The front service said well you know i computer issues. What about the phone ahh sometimes happens. No even said sorry for any inconvenience:((.

The hotel is very convenient. The room was clean, it had all we needed. Which was only bar soap but that’s all we needed. The property could benefit from some pressure washing on the stairs. It would make the property feel a lot cleaner.

Plenty of parking available. There's Denny's right beside the property. a 711, and Walmart just close by. It's even a 10-minute walk from the beach. The location is PERFECT.

My only qualm was the noise. I guess there was an ongoing party. The smell of smokes. People running around. And then suddenly dogs fighting. It's a like a circus. I guess I picked an unfortunate night to stay.

Room was very small for four people (two adults, two teenagers). One of the beds was against the wall and the other was against the A/C unit, with one foot separating the beds. Walls were thin, heard doors closing, furniture moving, water running & every little knock on the doors/walls.

You get what you paid for. The staff was fantastic! They answered a few questions and were very helpful. The hotel is older and it shows. The laundry area is sufficient, but know you can only do laundry between 9am-9pm and the washers need attention. The ice machine didn't work well. The room was good and the beds were good enough. The breezeways and garden area need some attention and had trash. We couldn't hear the people next to us, but heard more than one couple arguing in the parking lot in front of the their kids.

Good place. The floor was very dirty and I needed to wash my feet twice, but it’s a very nice stay. Well maintained, safe space, and fairly quiet. Walls are a little thin. Very nice stay! I enjoyed it there with my fiance.

Standard Motel 6 but you pay over twice the amount that you would pay anywhere else likely due to the location.

My biggest complaint about this place is that for almost $200 a night (almost $240 with tax and fees) they don’t even give you shampoo in the room.

Come on guys 250 a night and no shampoo?

Also, we stayed for two nights and they only gave us one little bar of soap for the shower and one for the sink.

The rooms are clean and pet-friendly, right off the 1 FWY, and helpful that Denny's restaurant is pretty much in the same lot. Walmart, 7/11, and a gas station are close by. Monterey Aquarium is about 20 minutes away. Please be aware that they do not provide daykeeping, but you can get extra towels. The toilet flush had really low water pressure. It seems like it's clogged, maybe because the pipes are really old. I would stay again; however, I would check the toilet to make sure it's working properly, as well as my TV and channels.

The lady at the check in is amazing. I had some difficulties during checkin because I forgot my purse at home. She was very helpful in guiding me to a resolution.

The room exceeded my expectations. The walls are quite thin though so a loud car outside at night will probably wake you up. But for the price I paid, this is 100% worth it. I enjoyed my stay.

This is my very first vacation in life and Motel 6, Marina has left a very good impression.

it in a great kind of area, staff in the evening is so helpful but night staff is kinda rude like they don’t care, not enough parking spot, and parking and outside is dirty and smells like drugs 24/7. walls are super thin as well . their no amenities at all so bring everything for everything. the shower pressure is alright. no coffee, no breakfast so anything and it always cold, heater didn’t work and they didn’t care. the space is also small, i put to stay 3 days, 2 night and i left a day early and didn’t stay the night for one and i asked about if anything can be done since im not staying my other day and ect and say no you paid for it but i didnt even stay the night so i paid for a extra day for no reason and nothing was done even with the hotel insurance so dont get that.

We enjoyed our stay at the Marina, CA Motel 6. It was convenient to Monterey's multiple attractions and, of course, the Pacific Ocean's beaches. Marina is essentially a \"suburb\" of Seaside and Monterey, but within driving distance of local attractions.
The motel itself was well-maintained, and for the mid-week visit we made, quiet.

I chose this location based on price, location and also other people's reviews. I'm suspecting a lot were because this is probably the worst Motel 6 I've ever stayed at. Besides it being conveniently close to the freeway, that is the only perk we had. The rooms were run down, beds extremely sinky, and the A/C turning off and on sounded like a plane landing each time. I was greeted by a standoffish lady and she barely even spoke to me. I asked for a room near the parking lot, she gave me a room on the complete OPPOSITE side facing a garden. 😒 OH, and that room smelled like fish a$$ so we were able to be moved. We will not be staying at this motel ever again.

This place was terrible. The room was not well maintained. The bathroom was in a really bad condition. We did not even try taking a shower. It looked dirty, filthy. They need to do something about it. Room did not have refrigerator.

This hotel has been recently remodeled and is a cute and quaint looking motel. Clean room with a television and most importantly it allowed pets. It’s located very close to a Walmart and Denny’s. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a no glitz or glam but solid stay.

dirty. Dryer filters were digusting. They need to take a high speed hose to all the sidewalks and clean them up.

The front desk clerk Alasandra ( I think that is her name), was very helpful and gave us early check in to our room. It was fine until I noticed that that left side of the bed sags... Bad! And the sink plugged up later in the night so we weren't able to get maintenance to fix it. Also it would appear as the floors have not been mopped in ages as my feet were dirty from being barefoot for just a short time. Oh, and the Ac unit sounds like the warp drive on the Enterprise! It was the noisiest Motel 6 we've stayed at ever. Plus, there were also NO drinking cups for water.
Too bad, we were looking forward to our visit.

It is a Motel 6 so there isn’t much to say, the location is very accessible (there is a Wal-Mart, Denny’s and freeway entrances near by). The room we got had a broken window so the breeze was coming in, and the smell in the room was weird but we fixed it by running the AC. The staff was courteous and overall it was an ok stay for the price and convenience.

There was mold on the ceiling in our room. When I went back into the office the lady at the front desk didn't seem surprised at my complaint. She was super helpful and gave me a refund so I could find a different hotel to stay at.

The place was overall really good for its price but we had two rooms, one of them had an awful smell. Like something was rotting, to top it off both of our rooms were next to a group of people who were extremely loud and yelling since 5pm and decided to throw a party at night. Drinking and having loud music until past 3 am. We ended up calling front desk and making a complaint about the group and the noise. The next day, while we were watching tv, a couple came to our room and opened the door saying this was their room. Ended up going to the front desk to see what was going on. Basically said that I had only made a reservation for one night for one room and another room for two nights and we needed to pay for another night. At that point I was pretty annoyed because I had receipts and emails proving I had payed and made reservations for two nights for each room. After going back and forth, the manager said “it was accidentally cancelled for two night” so they tried to blame me for a mistake they made. After all that I ended up paying again for another night and waiting for a refund for the cancelled night.

My room was very clean and well kept. My room was inner court so I was close to the garden and it was beautiful. The room was small tho it was a double and we had barely any room to move around, specially when you have bags. No mini fridge no microwave no coffee pot. Just beds tv and bathroom. Which i thought was weird I brought hotel room snacks and had nowhere to put it. Definitely needs to be a king room not a double. The beach is within walking distance and so is walmart. But for the price I got, it was great.

This place is a scam dont go there. It says Motel 6 on the outside but they charge you 40 dollars per dog, 20 bucks to check in early and the front desk guy watches every move you make on camera 24/7. Absolute scam and gives Monterey a bad name. They DBA Vagabond Inn..a little sign in the window but on Expedia theres a different picture because its Motel 6. When I asked the front desk guy he explained something not any language Ive ever heard....just mumbled.... something....wow. Creepy, sketchy and horrible condition place.

No housekeeping!!!! If you need anything you need to go ask in the front(extra blankets, pillows, trash bags..) . Room was kind of dirty. Floor was dirty foresures. We had to ask for a broom. They offered to have housekeeping come in and sweep and mop but my socks still got pretty dirty after the fact. The caulk in the shower is molding. The windowsills look gross, dirty, and dusty. Fingerprints all over the headboards. Water pressure sucks. Only thing okay was the price ($615 for 4 nights on Memorial Day weekend.) compared to everywhere else. I Lysol and Clorox everything anyways. But still, I shouldn't have to. The toilet stopped flushing on day 2 and we had to ask for a plunger. Will not be back next year.
