This trip was just me and my husband. Nice location, just minutes from Cannery and Wharf. Room was spacious and well laid out. Hotel lobby was very comfortable, restaurant was wonderful. This will be our go to whenever visiting Monterey area.

I was surprised by lack of class of the people who stayed there. People were yelling and hooting and hollering in the lobby on several of the nights we were there, acting like animals. Not a place I would ever say again. Staff was friendly the rooms were nice but the element that they are allowing in there is unacceptable. You pay a lot of money for a room thinking it's going to be a better class of people staying there not that I'm better than anyone else but I don't act like an animal. Kind of disappointed

I am disappointed with the service we received during our recent stay.

Housekeeping failed to service our room despite being requested twice. We were assured our room would be cleaned, but after a long day of activities we returned to find that nothing had been done. Having to make the same request multiple times without any follow-through was frustrating.

The check-in process was also disappointing. When I arrived, there were two clerks available. One directed me to another clerk, who then told me to wait. A third clerk eventually checked us in, while the other clerks assisted guests who had arrived after me. The experience felt disorganized and unfair.

We also had difficulty obtaining a luggage cart. Staff said security would be notified and that someone would help locate one, but no one followed up. As a result, my husband and I had to carry our luggage upstairs ourselves while managing two children and a small dog. To ensure we had a cart for checkout, we ended up keeping one in our room overnight.

Additionally, the lobby fountain was not operating, which detracted from the atmosphere we typically enjoy at Embassy Suites.

I have stayed at Embassy Suites approximately seven times and have generally had positive experiences. Unfortunately, this was by far the poorest customer service I have encountered with the brand. I hope management will address these concerns and improve communication, follow-through, and consistent treatment of guests.

In one of the rooms, there was a terrible stink emanating from the sink next to the coffee-maker. I brought it to the attention of the front desk. Fortunately my sense of smell is not good but my family complained about it.
Weather was cool in Monterey but even when we raised the temperature on the thermostat it was blowing cold air. The room was supposed to be an accessible room for seniors. Not healthy for seniors in that room.

We were quite unimpressed. The common areas such as floors greatly needed to be vacuumed and mopped. Glass in elevators and by door handles in multiple places were dirty. Wipes were out in the gym. The shower water didn’t get hot, the sink drain was plugged and it was difficult to see out the window (maybe the seal was cracked?) Staff was not friendly besides Machet (idk how to spell her name) was very nice as she cleaned the breakfast area. Dissatisfied with our stay

The hotel is in a very central part of town. If you're visiting Laguna Seca or heading to the Wharf, it's hard to beat how easy it is to get to. The parking lot is large and can even accommodate a trailer if you're heading to the track.
The downside: if you need anything from the hotel, you'll be greeted by a useless AI phone system that takes about 10 attempts to maybe get a callback or any help. In our case, we checked into a room with two beds but bedding for only one. It took 24 hours to get someone to call back, so one person ended up sleeping under a blanket pulled from the other bed. Staff offered no real help, and it seemed ridiculous to pay this much per night and not be able to get a simple issue resolved.
The hotel is also showing its age. The carpet and interior are old and beat up, the windows are filthy, and overall it just didn't feel clean or well kept.
That said, it's an okay stay overall, and the hotel could improve a lot with a few simple changes.

We’ve stayed at three different Embassy Suites properties recently, and they couldn’t be more different from one another.

The Embassy Suites in Anaheim was by far the worst experience. The property felt poorly maintained, our room had ants, and it was filthy. I would not recommend staying there.

Our stay at Embassy Suites Santa Clara Silicon Valley was the complete opposite. It was modern, upscale, and felt like a brand-new hotel. Everything was excellent, which is what led us to book Embassy Suites Monterey Bay.

I would rank the Monterey property somewhere in the middle. It’s definitely better than Anaheim, but it doesn’t come close to the quality and condition of the Santa Clara location.

One of my biggest disappointments was the Pure Wellness room. We paid extra for this upgraded room category, but it was not well maintained. The room itself was dirty, and the air purifier was covered in dust and appeared to have gone months without servicing. If you’re considering a Pure Wellness room, I would strongly recommend checking the filter and equipment yourself upon arrival.

That said, the front desk manager was exceptionally kind and responsive. She compensated us with dinner, which helped improve our overall experience and was greatly appreciated.

The restaurant was a highlight of the stay. The food was excellent, and I would honestly return just to eat there. The pool area was also nice and well stocked with towels.

Enjoyed our stay at Embassy Suites. Stay included daily buffet breakfast and reception evening snacks and beverages.

Dining area floors and tables were often sticky, probably due to high traffic during the mornings. Otherwise the dining room staff did great in clearing up the tables and replenishing the food when needed.

I loved the tall rise building and the 8th floor room we stayed in. The artwork on the walls was incredibly inspiring and beach/ocean related, which I tend to associate with spirituality, so overall I felt like I was on a higher plane. The fountain in the lobby was relaxing, and I loved all the amenities. Also, the fitness room was very nice, and I appreciated the $15 daily store credit as well as the breakfast OMELETES and how close the location was to overlooking the ocean.
I am so grateful to how kind the staff is, doing regular check-ins at breakfast and sharing kind words. I wished I had tried their on-site dinner restaurant but didn't get a chance to. I'll have to come back and try it out again. Also, their water refill station signaled a green filter, which tells me staff are on top of addressing any deficiencies.

We stayed two nights at the property. Overall, our experience was pleasant. However, we had trouble with the AC. The first night it never went below 71 degrees which is too warm for our toddler and us to reasonably sleep. Since we checked in later in the evening and our toddler was put straight to bed we didn't notice right away. The AC panel stated it was on and \"cooling\" we could also hear the air blowing. So we figured it was just taking longer to cool. That was not the case.

We brought it up to the hotel team the next morning and they sent a tech while we were out to check the AC. Unfortunately, the AC never worked properly during our stay.

I share this because the hotel team was amazing at addressing this issue. They sent the tech immediately in the morning and then again in the evening when we realize it hadn't been resolved. They offered a room change to a room close by. But even that room was having AC issues. So in the end they brought us two large fans and reduced our first night's rate by half to address the lack of sleep.

I will say that while we understand that sometimes issues come up. For the nightly rate that we were paying we expected a stay that was up to par with that rate. There's only so much the hotel team could do accommodate facilities that need repair. I hope that issues like these don't impact other guests stay, especially those traveling with toddlers.

Very clean hotel. I would 100% stay there again. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach with stairs from the hotel property. My wife and I really enjoyed our short time there. We walked the beach but didn’t swim because it was windy and cold which was unusual to this time of the year. Other than that, I would recommend it.

We had the corner room which was excellent.
Location distance to attractions in Monterey, Pacific Grove and Carmel are very good.
What we didn’t like was the$20/night hotel parking charge as the parking lot does not have a security gate to enter and exit.
We also did not like the $15/night Destination charge, which can be deducted if you purchase something in their gift shop.

We travelled for the Big Sur marathon, stayed for a few days after. Room was nice. Housekeeping was hit or miss.
We were told water would be off for 2-3 hours which turned into 5. Delayed our ability to shower before our evening plans. NOT ideal. No credit to our bill for the inconvenience.

Hotel is large and welcoming upon entry. Desk staff are very helpful with explaining all amenities and providing nearby charging stations for our electric rental car.

Room is spacious. Door on bedroom makes it very helpful for families having closed off space while toddlers sleep in late. Plenty of space for toddler bed in the main bedroom.

Pool clean and warm. Breakfast was fantastic. Hot breakfast (not just continental). Eggs cooked to order. Fresh fruits. Traditional breakfast fare. Hotel coffee was delicious (coming from a coffee snob high praise).

Marketplace in hotel has everything from forgotten essentials to local gifts and more. Even has Starbucks coffee options.

We love the Embassy, however this last time a staff member told us our dog wasn’t allowed anywhere near the tables or the food area! I was alone with my child and dog! I couldn’t leave them alone!! I’ve never had any issues before and our dog is very well behaved. We bring our dog every time!
Sad, we stay at the embassy multiple times a year too.

The property and service were amazing. The breakfast felt like a brunch for a milestone event. However, my room was 76 degrees because the air condition was not working in the master bedroom. The hotel was booked and they could not get me another room so they brought a fan. It was a miserable night of sleep. Customer service DID NOT make it right. They gave me 10,000 points like that made up for my time there.

I booked this hotel last minute for a short getaway with my child, mainly because it is under the Hilton brand and advertised an indoor pool. Given the peak-season rate, I expected a comfortable and well-maintained stay. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing, or It’s just okay as it is a 3-star hotel.

The room smelled unpleasant(even though it was named as PURE room/ equipped with tiny small air purifier), the amenities felt tired, and the indoor pool was especially off-putting—the water appeared poorly maintained and far from clean.

The evening happy hour was underwhelming to the point of being almost meaningless, with only minimal snacks such as chips and crackers. Breakfast was no better.

The room also had little to no soundproofing, and I could hear cars passing by throughout the night. For the price paid, this hotel did not deliver the standard one would reasonably expect from a Hilton property.

I travelled with little kids. I choice this hotel because of the amenities that were suitable for kids. The place was nice, spacious and kid friendly.
The only issue I had is that I asked for a plate but they said I had to go down from the 9th floor to the 1st and find the kitchen to get one! I couldn’t leave my kids alone to go get it. The idea of “give them a pickle” was lost on this request.
