Staff was very nice - accidentally locked keys in the room and the front desk guy said no worries and gave us a new key since we would be coming back late. Rooms were nice too in a really close location to all the good spots. Highly recommend.

Basic room. Had everything a motel would. Did not look anything like the picture shown on Expedia though which was disappointing but it did the job. First picture is what I booked for. Second two pictures is what I got with hard wood floors. The price was ok. Checking in and out was a breeze.

The room was clean and comfortable, staff friendly and really helpful. I had to extend my stay twice because of flight cancellations and they made the process very easy. It was an ideal location for me to easily get to Monterey and Carmel but for a more affordable rate. I would definitely stay here again. I didn’t have time to use the outdoor spaces but they looked very inviting!

the tv didn't work, it did get fixed by the 2nd night. the hairdryer didn't work, but didn't notice until the 2nd morning. The room was clean & well taken care of. nothing fancy but a good room, just expensive for what it was. Staff was nice.

I enjoyed my overall stay here! The rooms and restrooms were clean, and they provided us with extra amenities quickly whenever we needed them.

I was a little sad when the TV didn't have Netflix, but \"Friends\" was playing, so I didn't mind too much. Our restroom door was hard to close/open sometimes (room 207).

They do have a sitting area where you can eat and talk. The laundry and ice machine room is unlocked when you have your room key, which keeps other people away.

The beach is about a 13-minute walk, which is very convenient. The shops and aquarium are less than 10 10-minute drive.

Im writing this review to hopefully make up minds on whether to stay here or not. First time in the area, so was looking for something close to the wharf and aquarium and this place is near and not over $250 on a Friday. Was able to check in about an hour earlier, place is very clean. Beds were more on the firmer side which my husband loved but I prefer a more softer side. Room is nice and tidy, AC worked amazing. Bathroom and towels were clean. I’d definitely recommend and stay here again.

Nice lodge, liked parking right outside our room, short drive to the many wonderful sights Monterey has to offer. Comfy bed, nice soft towels. Couple of negatives, the floor of our room although free from crumbs and dust was actually very dirty, our feet and white socks were black and we had to wash our feet before getting into bed. The bedding on one of the beds although clean was ripped. Overall it was a nice stay. Tips: there’s a liquor store just a few minutes walk away that is really reasonable!

A little piece if heaven in Monterey!

Such a great place! Loved the staff & room! The petals from the trees outside blew into the room and gave it such a romantic feel! The people above us were a bit loud, but thats part of traveling & staying in the ground floor. We have a lot to carry into the room, so we prefer a ground floor.

Great stay with poor check-in experience

We were clear about a room request in writing weeks before arrival. We arrived to find that the staff didn't do what they said they would. We were told the only available room was the worst one in the hotel. The front desk put a manager on named Ronald who rudely and pushily told me to \"take it or leave it\" and they'd refund us if we left. No apology, no empathy. No interest in trying to positively work things out. After a few minutes another room became available which worked well enough.

On checkout, Ronald attempted to apologize. Considering how rude he was to us, it was a little too little too late.

That said, this is a nice property and we'd return again, crossing fingers that they don't mess up our reservation request.

When arriving to a local hotel I was planning to stay a night, pulling up to it definitely wasn’t ideal. I immediately looked for something else and found this place. Not only was it beautiful, the staff was extremely friendly and checking in was a breeze. Although it is near the freeway, you couldn’t hear a sound. The room was the peace and quiet I needed after a long drive. Even the cleaning staff as I left my room were incredibly polite.
