We only stayed for one night so we did not explore the property per se. Significant renovation work was underway as installation of new stone pathways were being installed. But the work site was clearly marked and clean and quiet during our brief one-night stay. Staffler very friendly at this Budget hotel.

I also understand that the hotel was under construction or something but it was a mess every where. There were no signs only a caution tape around the grass.

Walls and doors very thin. Heard every step, sneeze, conversation. Didnt expect much from this place, but overall felt safe and that i slept in a clean bed. Wouldnt go out of my way to stay here again, but its ok in a pinch. Price was a little steep for a place that doesnt offer soap or a mini fridge haha. But it was a holiday weekend, golf event, last minute booking etc. If youre just looking for a place to get some sleep-this is probably ok. If youre trying to relax and enjoy your time here in the Monterrey area-spend the coin somewhere else.

Also was given a key that didn’t work and had to lug all my things up and down stairs (2x) to collect new key (front desk person wouldn’t bring it to me). We left Wednesday morning returned in afternoon. I found the cleaners had been in and taken something they shouldn't have. Went to front desk, clerk was flippant and said it was trash. I explained trash was in trash can and the recycling was put in a different area. However this was taken and should've been left alone. I was warned by my friends who live in Salinas that Kern Street was shady but I guess I didn't really pay that much mind until I saw the security officer patrolling the parking lot. I also had to fully document my car and my friend had to present her ID at check in along with my own (I suppose to ensure that we were the only two staying in the room?) According to them, there had been a prostitution bust on this site not too long before we came to stay. Shady, yes but I could still look past it for a comfy night sleep.
I understand and appreciate the security measures even though their presence set off some alarm bells and I cant blame a hotel for who stays there. Im grateful they have measures to try to keep guests safe.

This place is dirty. The room has a strong fish smell. No shampoo, no hair dryer, no coffee maker in room. Very very basic. Only bed and towels and bathroom exhausted fan didn't work. We stayed two nights. The second night, we found a 3 inch long worm on the bathroom floor twisted around. It's so disgusting. And I talked to the front desk, the lady answered me \"it's a budget motel, what do you expect?\" We will never ever stay this place again.

The amount of what I paid for $ 214 is way too overpriced. Property is not good condition air conditioning did not work. I got $ 15 percent back to compensate air conditioning. That'was the only choice. The bathroom it had mold . This is more like $ 100 for value. No I won't recommend this property

I reserved a non smoking room. Walked into our room & there was an ashtray with a bad smell. I called to confirmed with office about my booking. Reception said they leave ashtrays for those who choose to smoke & not able to move us. The air-conditioning buttons were missing and didnt cool the room. There were what looked like shoe stains on the sheets. There is no seal to the bottom of the front door you can see all the light and hear all the noises outside. Tried to cancel my booking with office and was told since housekeeping had already left they would have to still charge me if I decided not to stay because we had already been in the room for 30 minutes.

When we went to check in they couldn't find our reservation from my name. Then when they pulled up our confirmation number it has someone else's name on it. If it wasn't for my husband getting stern with them I'm not sure they would have honored my proof of our reservation. The room was clean while sparse. The amenities were minimal. This was expected as it's a low cost motel.
The building itself is in rough shape. The drapes were dangling off, the window was old and beat up as was the door which didn't seal shut - light comes in around the door. The shower mostly worked but the handle for the water valve needed to be forced through some stuck points.
The building itself is in rough shape. The drapes were dangling off, the window was old and beat up as was the door which didn't seal shut - light comes in around the door. The shower mostly worked but the handle for the water valve needed to be forced through some stuck points.

I haven't checked into a hotel/motel that offers one pillow per guest with no tissues, no small shampoo and three towels only for 4 guests. The beds were hard, squeaky and old. I would expect Motel 6 regular rate for what I paid but because it was a holiday weekend I spent triple that for the same horrid experience. I would say you get what you pay for but not in this circumstance, as we got far far less.

I checked in on Friday, June 27. First the tv wasn't working. I called front desk and they said no maintenance person till Saturday and then mold in the shower. No maintenance came Saturday to work on the tv so we had no tv from Friday to Sunday when we checked out.

I was here for 5 nights. Ice machine broken the whole week. The AC/heat unit in the room did not work. No tissue paper in room. Bath tub had multiple patch jobs on it. When I asked for new towels, they had me go to their laundry room and get it myself. A few good things, they had a security guard at night. Inexpensive room. Gave out a parking pass to make sure you were staying there.
