the room was much better than i had expected! very clean, had heated floors in the bathroom and quite a few controls for temperature and lighting. the spare pillows and duvets were stained but that’s not their fault i suppose. overall i enjoyed it a lot

Comfortable room - use caution if traveling alone

Comfortable room, but the restaurant was closed due to construction (not a problem specifically) which caused many of the lights to be turned off and this was not the safest part of town. Parking was an issue - they recommended parking at the Morrison’s, but this parking lot was also dark and sketchy. We parked elsewhere and were careful not to walk alone.

Reasonably priced. The hotel is a bit dated you can tell there’s been some upgrades done. I was a bit disappointed that the bar connected to it was not open but, there was plenty places in the area that was walkable to get food and drinks. There was an odor in the room but, because we were there less than 24hrs I didn’t make mention of it to the staff. The staff were nice and welcoming. Check-in/Check-out was quick and easy.

Was a bit worried reading previous reviews but for one night it was clean enough for the price and quite high tech in the room. I wouldn’t stay here again due to the location but the hotel was perfectly fine for a short stay. Plenty of tea and coffee, mini fridge, safe and air con/heating and clean sheets and towels.

I booked 2 nights for my partners birthday we aren’t from London didn’t know what to except, only ended up staying 1 night they took a £50 deposit at the door which was strange then said I would get it back asoon as we check out, I got it a week later, starting on the room there was white stains on the blanket at the bottom of the bed when I confronted the man at the desk about it he said ‘they come out of the wash like that’ which I don’t wanna know what was even on the blanket, mould on the bathroom door, things stuck to the carpet,room was smaller then expected and big stains on the walls about the area, not much food choice to choose from bit of a dodgy area, the bar&restrant attached to the hotel was closed the whole day we where there, I don’t recommend nor would stay here again!

I'd seen some bad reviews so wasn't expecting too much but have to say the room was clean and tidy, good shower, TV etc all working. On the roadside so a little bit of noise but not enough to ruin sleep. Yes, the place could do with a little TLC but did the job and handy for Wembley Stadium.

This hotel is in transition which we hadn't seen from Expedia. Rooms are lovely, but a bit disappointed that the bar / restaurant isn't ready yet. BUT the guy on reception was very helpful and we will definitely stay again, but looking forward to the transition being complete.

Whilst the hotel was a little tired around the edges, our room was spacious, bed was comfy, horel was quiet and the shower had good water pressure.
Staff were friendly and polite.

Knocking a star off as the room wasn't perfectly clean and there were a couple of tiny repairs needed

Overall the room was modern and had everything you needed just let down by the bed which was very uncomfortable as the springs were digging in and only 1 pillow which was rock hard. The shower head was also reallt scaled up which meant the jets went everywhere.

I was asked for my ID when I was checking in. Then the staff asked me to sign an agreement, and while I was signing, they photocopied my ID, without telling me/ asking for permission. I then found it weird, why they need to photo copy it. I asked what it is for, he said for record, for about 2-3 years.

I am not sure why they need to photocopy it but I didn’t refuse it on site. And now I regretted and am a bit worried about my ID info.

Hotel was not very clean too but it’s a budget hotel so cannot expect much.

Stayed under reception area in room 001 and heard the bar above us until 3am. It was a private event. The front desk staff member couldnt give us a time when the event would be over either -- we had an early flight the next day. Shower drain was clogged and there were stains on the towels. I wouldnt recommend this hotel.

The Kings Head Hotel labels themself as a 4 star hotel and a “boutique” hotel which is an insult to boutiques hotels. The sheets had stains, the AC and TV wasn’t working, the room was full of grime. There were some modern amenities, but if anything, it was like lipstick on a pig more than anything.

If I had to stay in Acton again, I WILL be going here. Extremely impressed with the service, the safety, and the bar.
The room alone is high quality with instant A/C and heating. The rooms are larger than they appear in the picture. Would recommend to anyone, compliments to the staff.

A great value if staying overnight at Heathrow. Very close to the Tube stop just before Heathrow T2, T3, T5. A nice room for overnight at half the price of hotels by the airport which are actually harder to get to Heathrow that on the Picadilly Tube.

I had quite the evening with a flat on my rental and trying to get that sorted and the front desk host was amazing. He was understanding with all my crazy request (even when i asked for a vacuum for or vacuum seal bag haha). I was a mess and noone ever got upset at me.

The room airconditioning, safe, bathroom fan, lights, skylight blind did not work. The elevator worked sporadically. The room had no windows. Towel rail, toilet roll holder, bath plug were broken and missing with brackets left protuding out of the wall. The room was noisey, with staff trying to re-enter rooms across the hall at 3am in the morning. Staff seemed disinterested in resolving problems. Value for money was extremely low.

Nice but room for easy improvement

Hotel looks amazing, bed very comfortable! Staff friendly and pub atmosphere + food nice! Could be cleaned better eg in lift (dead fly squashed on wall still there after 3 days), and hallways always needed a vacuum. Our room had a window but curtain showed a 1m gap outside looking in a triangle at another 2 windows one of which was in the hallway so we never opened it. I would definitely ask for a room with a view, didn't like no natural light.

Great rooms, just a pity about the road noise.

Rooms are very well appointed, modern and clean. Road noise outside was the only complaint I had; unfortunately, the windows are very old and lacking in sound-proofing from the traffic lights and busy road just outside our room.

Rooms ok- but no parking is available

The room was fine, that’s the good part.
It clearly states parking available, however there is NO PARKING. The man on reception was very vague about it, he said they don’t have private parking and I was told to look on an app to see what was available nearby. Being in the middle of London, this was no easy feat and we were offered no help or compensation to rectify this. It was a stressful start to our short trip away.
Thankfully, Hotels.com were quick to act and reimbursed us for the charges we incurred.

Fantastic! The hotel itself, including the room, looked absolutely amazing.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service.

The only issue is that the lift wasn't working, so we had to use the stairs. Other than that, everything was great.

Will definitely stay there again.

After reading the reviews i was expecting the worst. However was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean. The shower was great. Bed was clean and comfortable. Would have liked a room with a window as the room was quite hot. The lamps didn't have bulbs but there was plenty of light. The tv worked fine and the room had tea and coffee. Extra milk was given on request. Staff were very polite and helpful. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel, didn't even ask about food, so can't comment, just choose to go out. Didn't even see anyone drinking in the bar area. We ate in a lovely pizza shop just across the road. Felt comfortable in the area, although didn't go far, didn't need to. Did have a great sleep. We only stayed overnight to attend the tv studio in Shepherd's Bush and, it was perfect for this, but would have been happy to stay longer. Great value for money.

The room was filthy and there were signs that said no smoking yet the rooms smelled of smoke. The elevators didn’t work I had a lot of luggage and my room was on the second floor. There was a lady feeding what looked like a thousand birds in my window. Very bad experience. Don’t book because there are no refunds

Disappointing, parking not available

Disappointing, advertised customer parking available but this is not part of the booking. You have to park in a nearby Morrisons and we were lucky to have a spot available to us as they were very limited and cost an extra £12 for overnight.

Lift was broken. Room was unclean, hairs on the bed and the toilet was still soiled from previous use. Kettle had stale water still inside it, there was masking tape left from where paint touch ups had been carried out. Damp on the ceiling in the corner and the mirror in the bathroom was loose against the wall and didn't stay up.

Staff were polite enough but they weren't around when we got back to the room so we didn't feel any use in raising the concerns we had over cleanliness. We slept well despite the noise from outside and left fairly early in the morning. Potential for a lovely hotel but overall felt a little neglected.

Unfortunately the room was not prepared on arrival the bed was slept in and the toilet was visually used with stains. Told reception and the receptionist tried her best to rectify. Emailed the management but zero response. Still staying at the hotel as booked for the week for my son and he had a strange man walk into the room to do a bed inventory check. This is not on as my son is working nights and we requested no one go in the room in the day. Following the mattress check the bed was left unmade and messy it’s just rude and so so unprofessional. My advice is it’s a nice looking hotel but clearly not run or managed very well.

The lift was not working 'that day' but it appears it has never been working. We had to climb 6 sets of stairs to get to the 3rd floor. All 3 of us had 2 pieces of luggage. Staff at check in was messaging on her phone and didn't acknowledge us for a few moments. When checking out there was a floor in the attached bar. Sink, towel rack and misc broken in our room. Only staying for 2 night or would have left.
