The area was nice as it was off in it's own corner away from the busy downtown streets, was no issue getting a Grab to go anywhere as well. Staff was always nice and inviting and there was a piano they allowed you to play in the bar area. The bar/club downstairs was interesting but the music they played was extremely loud so we had to sit far in the back away to hear/talk to people.

Hotel staff were always kindness and helpful. When I've faced Wi-Fi connection trouble, they were willing to support it. Room was clean and tidy, there were necessary amenities, free bottle of mineral waters,etc. Location was also walkable to the city center. I want to stay this hotel next time as well.

We initially booked for 24 nights. But my daughter and I planned to go for meditation retreat, so we asked the reception if they allowed us to checkout for 10 days and check back in thereafter. They allowed and agreed to what we requested. Overall all the hotel and restaurant staffs have been very polite and nice to us throughout our stay. We felt very welcome and it's rare to see the whole team with such positive attitude towards their services. Well done and we sincerely thank you to all the staffs at Park Royal Yangon for making our stay memorable. Keep up the good work ❤️☺️

Not only was the staff at Park Royal extremely polite and courteous, but I became very ill with a serious poisoning (from eating a yoghurt from a convenient store!!!) and they shown utmost care and professionalism.
They organised a doctor, checked regularly on me, and arranged for relevant in-room food too.
I would definitely recommend Park Royal and their amicable staff!

Pay up and stay here

We ended up escaping from our \"guest house (hostel)\" at 3am. We arrived here shortly and booked a room for 3 nights. Best decision of my life. The country has mandatory power outages throughout the day and night. This hotel has a generator so you will have constant a/c through the night. Great concierge, and very relaxing trip.

As a business user i was VERY disappointed that when i trued to chabge an Expedia reservation the Hotel refused to accept this change.

As a business traveler our schedules may change at short notice and although the hotel teied to blame Expedia, Expedia was willing to make the required cahnge a d the hotel refused to accept a rwbate for the unused date.

There was no apology or offer of any co.pendayion to offset the extra night paid for and not used.

Very disappointed and.willake a point of not using this chain i any future bookings. Also further to this will advis my friemnds, colleagues and customers to avoid thos inflexible hotle chain.

Nice hotel, in my opinion one of the better ones in Yangon. My room was large, well appointed and had an extremely comfortable bed. Staff was terrific - very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is good. I will be back.

An amazing stay, I can’t speak highly enough for this hotel and the staff. We’re usually 4/5 star western hotel seekers but we heard such high regards for this hotel and we were not disappointed. From the exceptionally appointed rooms, great amenities, fantastic food and amazing staff there was little left to complain about. Easy walk to sights, shops and local food.. if you do decided to go off site for food, there is a Shan Noodle place to the left of the front exit, then left down the first road that is amazing. Can’t wait to return.

Great hotel stay in a good location

The hotel was in a good location, near Aung Mingalar Shan Noodle Shop which has really great tasting noodles, a great way to end the day after a long trip. Near Shwedagon Pagoda but you need to take a cab (cab fare was inexpensive from the hotel). The hotel room was very very nice and comfortable, very clean rooms and bathrooms. Wifi was fast. Breakfast was also good. Hotel staff was very hospitable. Ask the front desk for tamarind flakes!

I'd definitely stay here again.

I stayed for 3 nights on a work trip in Oct 2018. Although I had the best category room, the room was spacious, well lit and the bed very comfortable. The hotel had super fast complimentary Wi-Fi, which is often hard to get in Yangon. short walk from hipster coffee shops and some nice restaurants. Fully recommend!

The hotel staff is amazing, very respectful, helpful and always smiling. The rooms are clean with good amenities. The Parkroyal is a great central location with lots of good local eateries near by. There is also Club 5 bar and nite club with live music in the hotel. It is also within walking distance to the central rail station.

Park Royal Hotel is a good choice for the traveler who value the comfort and
good quality of service. Hotel is quiet , has a good location , relatively close to all main attraction and has a good amenities but its way overpriced restaurant offer surprisingly poor variety of fruits and vegetables in the country with abundance of fruits.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. First time in Yangon (and Myanmar) and this hotel is in a good location for walking to some of the sights you'd want to see. The Shwedogan Pagoda and Downtown are not far away and within walking distance of the hotel.
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Whether it be the daily greeting from the concierge staff or those attending in the bar and restaurants all were polite and very welcoming.
Breakfast in the brasserie was a buffet affair and there was a generous and varied spread that would suit travellers from most destinations. Some may complain about the cost but it was more reasonable than that charged by any of the European hotels I've stayed in. If you can book a package that includes it then it might be wise to do so.
My room had two double beds and was spacious enough for a single traveller. The bed was very comfortable and toilet clean and well lit. Water was piping hot whenever I showered.
I used the gym in the hotel and found it to have all the facilities I'd need being away. Cycle, treadmill and step machine were available along with free-weights. There's a small stream room and sauna which more than do the job if you want to relax afterwards. The gym instructor was very friendly and took time to chat and to help with technique.

Conveniently located within walking distance of a few key attractions in the central part of town.

Room was spacious and beds were big and comfortable. The air-con was very cold and adjusting the thermostat didn't have any effect so I turned it off instead.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Except for one instance where I was given wrong information that I could just walk in to Karaweik Palace without reservation, but it was already fully booked when I went all the way there. But other than that the overall experience was good.

Good location, near the Bogyoke Market, restaurants, shops, and Sule Pagoda - all in walking distance. Many breakfast options (local food, Indian corner, Japanese corner, Western corner, various salads, fruits and fresh juices). Couldn't open the room window though, so no fresh air in the room.

Stayed here with a friend for two nights at the end of our Myanmar vacation. The hotel is exceptionally nice and spacious. Hotel restaurant and bar are very nice. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable, and well appointed with a nice pool facility as well. There is a club with live music on premise if interested. Nearby restaurant at Hotel G is nice to eat at with a great atmosphere as well. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, and security at the hotel is terrific.

I enjoyed my stay at the Parkroyal hotel.. The hotel staff is great. They are friendly, attentive and always willing to help. The rooms were clean with good amenities. Beds are just right for a good nights sleep. It is centrally located and in a good location not far from major attractions. This hotel also has restaurants lounges and a very good bar / nightclub that’s open everyday and admission is free for hotel guest. Room service is fast and good. This hotel also has very good security. I truly enjoyed my experience while staying here in the Parkroyal hotel.

The room next to me was under renovation but I was not informed upon checking in. the drilling and hammering were going on throughout my stay and i didn't have time to address the issue as i was running in and out of meetings. Staff could have assigned me to another room in the first place.

From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, every single staff was gracious, helpful and made us feel very welcome. The rooms did not disappoint. They were well furnished, comfortable and clean. The hotel is close to shopping centres, and just a walk to Bogyoke Market. The hotel also felt very safe.

I will definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a good hotel in Yangon, and I will definitely stay there again when I next visit.

We loved, loved, loved our stay! Customer service was outstanding with ALL hotel staff. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Bed comfort was excellent. Bathroom shower was incredible with the center rainfall shower head -- you'll never want to get out! WIFI was reliable. Location was perfect - we were able to walk to most every downtown location we desired. Excellent!

From the minute we arrived until the minute we checked out 6 days later, ALL of the staff were excellent & couldn't do enough for you . I've said before it's the staff in middle/Far East hotels that define your stay there & the Park Royals staff were no exception. The rooms were spacious & comfortable. The air con very good.The bed & bedding were of a very good standard. The room & bath room had all the amenities you could want. Wifi was strong both in the room & hotel public areas.The hotel is about a 30 minute taxi ride from the airport & the taxi cost $10 U.S. The food in the hotel was of good quality & they accept both U.S. $ and the local Kyats. The hotel also accepted credit cards. The Park Royal is a decent hotel base from which to explore Yangon & I would stay there again. The only minor gripe I have is that I thought the price of a six night stay at the hotel was quite expensive ,but to be fair the other 4 & 5 star hotels in Yangon were expensive too. A mention must be made of Nay Myo Thein, the senior guest services manager, who sorted a problem I was having very quickly. Well done sir.

A little disappointment.

Very disappointed with the behaviour and attitude of one of the staff(seems like the manager of the lobby). On the day checked out,Yangon was down-pouring, when I checked out, i asked the staff if we could borrow 2 umbrella from them and will return before heading to the airport. The front desk staff agree warmly. Then, this unmannered staff passed the umbrella to me and said in a despise tone:\" if you lose our umbrella, you need to compensate USD 10 each\".Followed by, when we are about to leave the hotel at the basement carpark(my friend is driving), to my amusement this unmannered staff chased down and claimed that we cannot borrow their umbrella because we have already checked out.Oh my freaking goodness, I borrowed the umbrella when I was checking out and they lend to me! I am totally fine if they disagree to lend the umbrella.What upset me is his attitude.

My 2nd stay in a month, this time 4 days longer than my previous one-day stay.

Location and overall generally pleasant. Disappointed that although I had booked for three pax, we were given a room for two only and I had to call for extra towel, mug & cup, toiletries etc etc. The shelf at the room bar had a layer of dust, the kettle had a crack on it, the flower vase in the bathroom had water in it but no flowers and the little vanity boxes had a layer of dust - clearly the room had not been occupied for a while, and was not checked before my (late) arrival for all the above details.

The staff were nice and tried their best, but obviously raw in their roles and could do with more training for work in international 5-star hotels.

For this stay, I had booked a club room and had expected the standard normal for a 5-star, club room stay. Needless to say I was disappointed with the under par standard I got.

Great breakfast spread. We would rank it the best during our Myanmar visit.
Room was very clean but spartan. Not a single picture or painting on the walls. Excellent fresh air, most likely from newly upgraded air-conditioning.
Bathroom needs renovation. Chipped bathtub, plastic shower curtains, tiled walls and floors looked dated.

I booked a Deluxe Room and found it to be comfortable but showing a lot of wear and tear, so much that it was verging on shabby. The next tier room is a significant jump in price and were refurbished. The check in was not particularly welcoming or efficient and despite the fact that I was entitled to an upgrade due to my frequent user membership of their network I did not receive such until I complained the following day. Overall atmosphere is efficient but lacking in charm. The location however was central for both downtown and Dagon area.

Great Service

Great service. I arrived in Yangon on the 6am night bus and knew that the check-in only started at 2pm. Nonetheless, the concierge allowed me to check-in earlier at 10am. Good location too, walking distance to Bogyoke Market and various restaurants. Only downside was that the room was not entirely clean - found some palm prints on my window. Other than that, no complaints!
