The location is decent if you are there for COEX exhibition. The room is pretty old and certain things are falling apart. However, room cleanliness is acceptable and heating system and hot shower all worked well. Room is a bit small but OK. The staff are OK but not the friendliest. When we checked out the male staff didn't even say thank you and he looked disinterested and after getting my room card he just threw it to the side. Maybe he was having a bad day or whatever.

Great stay for English speaking tourists
The hotel was everything we needed it to be for our first trip to Seoul. The bedrooms had quality air conditioning, the room was soundproof, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom included at bidet and had decent water pressure in the shower. The hotel itself is wheelchair accessible. The staff were friendly, the gym was nice, and the breakfast buffet had many options. After long days out and about, the hotel dining became a great opportunity for food before bed, with a variety of meals to choose from. The wait staff were accommodating to my gluten allergy which made my trip significantly easier as I knew I had a guaranteed option for food. The hotel itself is walking distance from a bus stop and located near a nice cafe and wheelchair accessible convenience store, which made getting to destinations and gathering necessities rather easy. It was a great stay and I recommend this hotel to tourists, as the accommodation met our needs and allowed us to focus on enjoying the city to its fullest extent.

The hotel Riviera is a great hotel. I would thoroughly recommend it for business visits. I do not recommend it for tourist visits. I had a lovely stay there and I found it challenging to get tourist information (what buses to catch etc) the staff were very helpful and tried their best. It is all about horses for courses and my thoughts were if I was going on a business trip to Seoul I would definitely stay here, but for tourism next time I would probably stay in Myeongdong

This is my second stay at Hotel Riviera. The rooms seem a bit dated but otherwise no complaints. Staff is amazing and speak English, check in took about 3 minutes. Location is great just outside Gangnam-dong tourists areas. It is about a 20 minute walk to COEX there are a few eateries nearby. Breakfast buffet is adequate and the coffee is decent. Pool is nice and the staff was extremely helpful. I will stay here again on my next visit to Seoul for sure.

Although in need of some modernisation, especially in the bathrooms and carpets, it’s a good and convenient hotel to stay in the Gangnam area. The airport shuttle is right outside when arriving from the airport, the bus stops are only a few minutes away. No subway nearby but it’s a nice area to walk around. The staff were nice and helpful in booking us a trip to the DMZ. The rooms are comfortable and the bedding is soft. Didn’t try the pool or nightclub, but the sandwich shop was lovely and packed is snacks to take to the DMZ. I would stay again

We had a very comfortable stay at the Riviera. So much so that we are going back in a few days.
The staff were all lovely and helpful. I felt a huge difference in costumer service at this hotel when compared with other hotels I stayed at in Seoul last year. Friendly and helpful staff, all spoke English to same degree and smiled all the time. I hope that the attitude towards foreigners is changing at the Seoul hotels.
The rooms are very spacious, the beds are comfortable, the bedding is of good quality.
I personally don’t like carpeted rooms and this was no exception, but I suppose it’s traces of older days when the hotel was built. It could do with either new carpet or to remove it completely. The toilet is great! It’s nice and warm to sit on and with duche/washing options.

Very nice hotel for the price, rooms are large and clean with comfortable bedding. It’s located in Gangnam so convenient to a lot of tourist areas as well as taxis and public transportation.
The pool was closed for maintenance during the months of November and December which was sad as it was one of my criteria for choosing the hotel. The breakfast was ok. The biggest complaint I had was the air conditioner would not turn on even as a fan, the room was 28.1 degrees at one point managed to get it down to 27.2 using the window vent over night.

At check (12:30) in we were told check-in time is 3:pm, yes it was. I was working with the concierge to hold my luggage while my wife was telling them we stay there often. Low and behold...the room was ready. Why make us wait if it is ready?
We believed the room had bugs, every morning we woke up with red marks and bumps, the front desk did not seem too concerned with checking this out.

Front desk people need some customer service training. Not very friendly. It was pouring rain and I did not have any Korean taxi app on my phone but was told to go wait in the street for a taxi. It shouldn’t be that hard to help call a taxi..
