Everyone was very helpful and the hotel was very nice. I would stay here or the sister property next door if i came back. They have a private beach which is nice due to the fact of the number of people on the near by beaches. highly recommend this hotel

This hotel is lovely. A fantastic location. We could see the full moon perched over the Castello Aragonese d'Ischia from our window. So beautiful. The breakfast was amazing. The pools delightful. Only complaint is the pillows. Very hard.

Convenient location, exeptionally clean, attentive staff.
I like the decor, italian tiles, color theme. Breakfast was sufficient and elegant.
The only negative thing was that the double bed was actually two beds put together, so it was hard to snuggle.

Nice hotel away from touristy area

Nice hotel, friendly staff, good location away from busy Ischia port area which is very touristy. Easy walk to Castello Aragonese. Good breakfast. Some shared facilities with sister hotel. Beach not the best as in shadow in the afternoon, but big pool was great. Not memorable, but nothing to complain about.

As others have mentioned, it's no longer a 5 star hotel, but a solid 4 to 4.5. The rooms were large and having a balcony for our two shared rooms was nice to relax on in the evening as we didn't have a water view. The breakfast was nice and my children enjoyed the spa services. We mostly had the pool to ourselves and there was plenty of area to spread out and enjoy. We didn't use the thermal pool, but was mostly used by older guests. There is a wonderful restaurant across the street, but disregard judging the book by its cover. The water view is excellent. It's a long walk to the port, but only 15 euros by taxi when we used it. The walk through town is full of restaurants and shops, so it's worth it. Another 15 minute walk to the castle. People were nice, but the english there was not the best so brush up on your Italian.

Quaint and charming hotel. Our room dod not have a balcony or a view of the ocean. The room was small and the bed was VERY hard, made our bones ache. Service is fantastic, they go out of their way to accommodate every request.

I've never been so mislead by Hotels.com in my 15 years using the app. This hotel is rated at 5 stars and in all honesty, would struggle to get even a 3. The reviews are 9 out of 10 but I don't understand it at all. I just got done with a 2 week vacation in Italy and stayed in 12 hotels. This was the highest rated and most expensive (454/n) but was the least favorite of the bunch. The only positives was the water pressure, check-in was quick, and the front desk was helpful once you were there in front of them.

This hotel is a great choice for a relaxing stay on Ischia if you still want to be close to a lot of restaurants, shopping, and Ischia Porto. The beach access was very convenient, across the street, but the hotel was very quiet despite this prime location. The spa is wonderful and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Very delicious breakfast!

We booked in to Mare Blu but for some reason they switched us to the sister hotel across the road, Miramare e Castello for the same price, which I think is a more expensive hotel. We had booked a room with sea view and balcony, and it was fantastic. The position of both hotels is fantastic and we definitely would return

Everything about our stay at Hotel Mare Blu was excellent. The staff was so helpful & professional. The hotel was within walking distance of shops & the castle. And the concierge made recommendations for places to eat & explore. Our ferry back to Naples was late in the day, after check out, the staff was so accommodating and kept our bags safe & allowed us to use the facilities & shower before we needed to leave. The breakfast was amazing. Such an abundance of choices & all was delicious. We will definitely be going back.

The hotel was perfectly situated opposite the beach and near to the Castle and easy to walk to the shops along to the Port and the castle, with lots of lovely restaurants. The pool areas are very peaceful and green with a great spa and 2 pools. Great family room overlooking the poo with a balcony and lovely service. Enjoyed the breakfasts and would stay again as very tranquil.

We really liked this hotel. We had an upgraded room, number 236, with a patio overlooking the sea and Castillo Aragonese. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Luigi at the bar was awesome and accommodated all of our special requests. We can’t wait to visit again!

Besides the location of this hotel everything else was a let down. First the people who work the front desk are miserable, they can’t wait to tell you no about something. After checking in I was informed they they only offer air conditioning some times of the year and now wasn’t one. The guys suggestion was to leave the door open to let in a breeze. Great idea I woke up with bugs in my room and mosquito bites. Next I go to lunch across the street and wrapped up half a pizza. When trying to bring it back to my room the people at the front desk tell me no food. Now let me tell you I am 6.5 months pregnant that pizza could have been everything in about a hour but unfortunately I had to throw it out. Next I ask for a iron to iron one of my T-shirts. They then inform me I am not allowed a iron in the room, and can only use they’re laundry service in the morning. This whole experience was a nightmare. The staff here should get a lesson in customer service and how to say hello when someone enters the hotel. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Mare Blue was just beautiful!
We had a ocean view room with balcony , and waking up to see the beautiful Castello Aragonese was enchanting. Our room was super spacious and very very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was....... wow what a spread. I think we gained 5 pounds only with that lol lol.
The attention that the servers give you is excellent.
Most important of all, Roberta one of the concierge, was always so kind and helpful, and such a lovely person. The only thing I would suggest is an american coffee pot in the room :)
I would definitely recommend Hotel Mare Blue and hope to return soon.

Wonderful friendly service- so helpful- really made our stay extra special.
The hotel itself is great- spacious clean rooms, lovely breakfast buffet and a thermal pool at the back. You also get to share facilities with Miramare E Castello hotel over the road giving beach access and a rooftop hot tub on their site that we made use of.

While at the Mare Blu you can use the facilities of the hotel Castello and both hotels are fantastic. Experienced staff, very very friendly and helpful. Both spa are fantastic. The solarium on the roof with Jaccuzy and wonderful view. Very quiet just perfect to relax and enjoy.

My wife and youngest son stayed at the Mare Blu about 3 years ago and had a wonderful time. My wife was determined that I should go back with her to the Mare Blu. We finally got ourselves organised for the return this September. Our stay was everything she said it was going to be.The hotel was spotless and the staff were very attentive and helpful.The night porter even made us a cappuccino before we left the hotel at 6.30 am!
The hotel's location is ideal with the beach right opposite the front of the hotel.Being able to use the sister hotel's facilities was an extra bonus. The island of Ischia is a beautiful and romantic location. I am already looking at booking a return to the Mare Blu

GREAT Hotel! Beach, Pool and Terme!

We had a wonderful experience at Mareblu! Beautiful pool, sun decks, it's own terme pool AND it's own beach right across from the hotel! Not too far from the center of town, tons of restaurants and shops, some high end and some mom and pop family run groceries and beach shops! Hotel was always spotless. Very friendly competent staff, used the spa 3 times, loved every minute of it had great massages, mud wraps and facials! Will definitely visit again!

Beautiful hotel overlooking the sea

We had an amazing stay at the Hotel Mare Blu. The room was a very good size, bed was very comfortable, bathroom had a clean roomy shower. we were very lucky to have a balcony with a totally amazing view of the sea it was nice to sit an have a bottle of wine on the balcony watching the sun set. The cleanliness of the hotel was second to none. We ate at both the Mare Blu and neighbouring hotel both meals were very good with great service. Would I return to this hotel yes I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Had a lovely first time stay in Ischia, staying in hotel mare blu. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the surroundings beautiful. Favourite bit was looking out from the beach loungers over to the castle then having a dip in the sea. For relaxation, the hotel is perfect.
The only downside we have to say is that, while advertised as 5* (which the facilities certainly were) we were a little disappointed with our double bed having two mattresses pushed together. Given that you expect this from a travelodge, we did find this a let down.
That being said, we did enjoy our time and will recommend... particularly the huge variety of breakfast every day. Prosseco, mozzarella, scrambled eggs, cakes, cereals, fruit, pastries. You won't go hungry!

Aesthetically the hotel was very nice, but the bed was horribly uncomfortable and hard. The thermostat was outdated and difficult to understand. Bathroom was very nice, aside from a bit of mold on the inner handles of the shower. Breakfast was great, lots of options and good service!

Worked out well for us, but is quite a distance from the mainland. It is on an island, with lots of options for boats to Capri, Amalfy Coast, etc. Great breakfast, private beach, helpful staff. Elevator seemed to have continuous problems. Let people know it is remote from mainland.

First I was surprised to find myself in a 5* hotel rather than in the 4* I had booked – only to get pretty disappointed when I saw the room. I probably shouldn’t have been that disappointed: as a single traveller (who had already paid for her stay) I was put in a tiny single room. In principle that was o.k., but really shocking was to find that room dirty: the desk and other pieces of furniture were covered with dust and had stains from former occupants’ glasses. A similar situation in the bathroom: not only layers of black dust, but also the hair of a former user next to the sink. I complained several times, received apologies and found that after three attempts exactly those areas whose dirtiness I indicated to the manager were cleaned. Apart from this extremely below 5* standard staff was friendly and helpful, the service was very good and the breakfast excellent. Bar prices were too high, though.

Ischiaksen paras sijainti taianomaisin näkymin

Erittäin hyvä sijainti (rauhallinen ja lähellä merta), taitaa olla Caprin paras. Näkymät ovat upeat. Erinomainen lisä, että saa käyttää viereisen sisarhotellin Miramare e Castellon palveluita, erityisesti sen hiekkarantaa ja aurinkoterassia. Meressä uinti oli helppoa ja miellyttävää. Sen vierestä oli kätevää ottaa venetaksi lähipaikkojen rantoihin ja ravintoloihin. Itse kävimme Gardenia Maressa, joka osoittautui elämykseksi sekä venematkan, maisemien, palvelun että ruoan osalta. Sille 5 tähteä. Iso uima-allasterassi oli hyvä ja puutarha-alue kaunis sekä hyvin hoidettu. Hotellin vieressä olevalta bussipysäkiltä pääsee kätevästi satamaan, jossa on kiva viettää aikaa (hyvät palvelut: useita hyviä ravintoloita ja kauppoja).
