Many spa and entertainment choices. The ground floor is a therapeutic spa with about 30 different treatments, including physiotherapy ideal for heavy computer users. Two thermal pools and whirlpools are free for guests. Poll has great separate swimming area and spectacular views. Live evening entertainment and weekly folklore program.

The room given when first checked in was in the basement, musty Oder, many stairs to go down, after calling to advise, room was changed. Check in was 2 pm. Check out was 10 am. The following day, they gave us another room,,,which was musty, and had a bad ode, the A/C was not working. We left the hotel. At 7:00 pm the same day,could not sleep there.

Nice clean and comfortable room for the price. Great location. 8 minutes walk to the center and 15min to the port. Very convenient shuttle service to the beach and city center as well. Taxis back and forth if anything f are only 10E. The staff is pleasant. I had such a great time in this hotel that I extended my stay for 2 more days! Great hotel to relax and enjoy Ischia!

They were nice at hotel, location was good and getting around was easy. But, seriously- they should advertise having air conditioning, the room was sweltering hot. Nothing improved, after I asked them to check- no offer to relocate us. Impossible to sleep

Not a 4* experience, amenities have restrictions.

Me and my partner usually goes for budget hotels, but to celebrate my 30th we thought we'd splash out a bit.

Unfortunately the promise of 4* didn't live up to the experience. I had dismissed some negative reviews as they were very longwinded and a bit rant like, but they are unfortunately fairly accurate. I'll try and keep this brief.

Many amenities have time restrictions, if you go, stay in peak only.

Most importantly AIR CON is NOT available until mid June despite the room temperature being 30+ Celsius already. This was the biggest issue we experienced and there is nothing the hotel can/will do (even when it advertised air con at booking).

WiFi is very patchy

The shuttle bus doesn't run until late June. Hotel is 20min walk downhill to the castle and a bit further to the town centre. Most things close for a siesta early afternoon to evening.

Some staff are nice but generally I found them dismissive.

Pool is a nice area. It is generally clean but there appears to be mould build up on the edges. I noticed they had started to clean it up on one side perhaps ready for peak season. Bring a swim cap! It's an Italian thing.

Room is generally clean and I loved having a balcony. We had a great view. Furniture is rather dated throughout the hotel, but this likely appeals to their retiree target audience.

There is a spa onsite which is reasonably priced, we didn't use it though.

Food wise we only had the breakfast. It was alright, standard Italian continental plus egg

Overall it was a good experience mainly due to the helpful and kind staff! The reception staff was always smiley and happy to assist with anything I needed, from gluten free food and information about transport and attractions to a medical consultation. Unfortunately the hotel is a bit outdated and a bit far from main attractions.

The hotel is located away from the main areas for restaurants, beaches etc so be prepared for plenty of walking. Only one of the receptionists had a good level of English so unless you speak Italian then I would not recommend. Breakfast was adequate but had easily one of the most ignorant head waiters that I have ever seen in action. The AC in our room was noisy and didn't fully work so getting a good nights sleep was difficult.

San Valentino a good choice on a lovely island

I enjoyed my stay very much. However, the only drawback was the location high above The main town of Ischia Porto. Other than that it was everything that a relaxing vacation could offer. The staff was extremely helpful and Wi-Fi was available in the public areas in the at the pool.

Authentic traditional Italian resort

Hotel San Valentino is my favorite hotel and an excellent value. I return every summer for my vacation. It is large enough to have many resort facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, two large sunbathing terraces spacious gardens, game room, TV room and indoor and outdoor dining. But the design spreads the rooms through many different wings, so you feel like you are staying in a villa by the sea. There are fun entertainment programs most nights, folklore evening, pool party, live concerts. The owner's son Claudio plays water polo for the local team and arranges free attendance at games. The artwork collection is large and intriguing -- you can spend half a day viewing it as if you were in a museum. The breakfast buffet offers many choices. The other guests who were on the three meal plan said lunch and dinner were very good. The hotel is on a slope and many rooms offer spectacular sea views with large balconies. The room furnishings are rustic, rather than Hyatt style luxury, but they give the feeling that you are really in Italy.

If you visit, make sure to have at least one outfit for dress events. Many Italian guests work in the fashion industry and get dressed up for dinner and evening dances.

Home away from home

The hotel staff were exceptional & helped me with all queries. Hotel is a 10/15 min walk from the beach & town centre. Perfect for evening stroll. Small supermarket across the road from the hotel that sells all basic needs. Hotel provided gluten free biscuits for my breakfast :)

Great hotel for our one night stay in Ischia

The hotel was a quick 15€ taxi ride from the port. The staff was very helpful. The room and hotel itself was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was a typical Italian breakfast. Decent location with a bus stop close by.

Meant for senior people

The hotel seems to have their eyes fixed on senior people coming in some package deal for thermal bath and treatment. If you are not in that category and do not speak Italian, your experience is unliekly to be good. Very few of the staff speak English, but some of them quite efficient. The breakfast was exactly the same every day, with very limited choice. I had lunch once and decided to have food elsewhere. I was told that lunch and dinner would cost 15.00 Euro but was charged 20.00. When I pointed this out I was told that since I did not eat every day, my rates were high. However, they were nice enough to arrange for a taxi in the early morning when I left. The WiFi is available only in the lobby. There is a desktop though for those who do not have a laptop.

Vacanza in pieno relax

Per chi vuole trascorrere una vacanza rilassante, l' hotel
S. Valentino è la scelta giusta . Camera confortevole, pulizia quotidiana , piscine e trattamenti termali , personale preparato e disponibile ad ogni esigenza del cliente . Fiore all' occhiello è senza dubbio il Ristorante . Colazione super abbondante e cena a dir poco sbalorditive avendo usufruito di mezza pensione . Prima volta che vengo in questo hotel e sicuramente seglierò di nuovo questa struttura per una vacanza ad Ischia . Complimenti, continuate così .

Il mio soggiorno in generale è stato positivo, ottimi i servizi di piscina e ristorante, un po’ meno la colazione. Camere confortevoli ma un pochino vecchie, per il resto consiglio un soggiorno qui.

L hotel pur non essendo nuovo è tenuto bene..gentilissimi alla reception..Bella la zona piscina esterna..con piccolo bar x snack veloci.. bella l area benessere con 2 piccole piscine termali al chiuso..ideale x i giorni di pioggia..colazione super..un po’ scomodo x arrivare a Ischia porto.. hotel consigliato..hanno una navetta gratuita x la spiaggia..

Ho soggiornato 5 notti in questo bell'hotel posto tra Ischia Porto e Ischia Ponte. Mi è piaciuto molto:
-il rapporto qualità prezzo
-la pulizia
-la professionalità del personale
-i servizi offerti (piscina ottima e spa discreta)
-la colazione abbondante, varia e di qualità
-la stanza singola spaziosa con terrazzino, letto matrimoniale nonostante fosse una singola e bagno con doccia davvero ottima.
-la vicinanza a piedi dai luoghi di interesse (Ischia Porto, Ischia Ponte, il Corso, via Roma, Piazza degli Eroi per prendere gli autobus etc).
-la disponibilità in certe fasce orarie della navetta per gli spostamenti
Invece mi è piaciuto meno la cura dei dettagli (soffitta della piscina termale e facciata in molti punti da rifare), l'arredamento delle stanze troppo vintage. Peccato perché con piccoli aggiustamenti diventerebbe un hotel perfetto.
Lo consiglio vivamente, io ci ritornerei sicuramente!

Questa è stata la nostra prima vacanza ad Ischia ed è stata splendida. Appena arrivati al porto, a soli 800 metri, si trova lo stazionamento dei bus da cui è possibile prendere il numero 5 che vi lascia a soli 300m dall’hotel. Appena arrivati in hotel abbiamo trovato uno staff competente, disponibile e sempre con il sorriso stampato in faccia. Abbiamo preso una camera economy, dotata di tutti i servizi necessari come aria condizionata, asciugacapelli, terrazzino con sedie e tavolo. L’unica cosa che ci ha fatto storcere il naso è la mancanza di un aspiratore in bagno, per arieggiare dovevamo aprire le porte, questa è la causa delle 4 stelle invece di 5. Non abbiamo ne pranzato ne cenato in hotel, abbiamo peró gradito la buonissima colazione a buffet con portate sia dolci che salate. La struttura è ditata di piscina esterna, piscina interna con acqua calda, piscina con acqua termale, tutto gratuito per i clienti. La posizione poi è ottima, a 10 min a piedi dalle spiagge (è possibile usufruire del servizio navetta per i più pigri), a 10 min a piedi dal castello aragonese, a 10 min a piedi dalla bellissima via Roma. Se deciderete di andarci vi consiglio di cenare in un ristorante che si trova a 300m, si chiama zio Peppe ed è molto carino e si mangia bene. La nostra esperienza in quest’hotel è stata fantastica

Contro: pulizia non proprio impeccabile ma comunque a buon livelli. Mancanza di in aspirato in bagno nel nostro caso

Badehætter i poolen!!!

Selve hotellet er fint men i italiensk stil. Det bærer præg af lidt halvfærdige løsninger. Taget i betragtning af de 4 stjerne levede standarden og mulighederne ikke op til det. Det ville være et fint 3 stjernet hotel. Der skal betales ekstra for alt fx poolhåndklæder. Vigtigst af alt SKAL der anvendes badehætter i poolen hvilket var til stor irritation for os da vi gerne ville have vidst det på forhånd!! Super fin morgenmadsbuffet men stort udvalg af kage 😉

Mon fils de 7 ans me dit que le truc le plus sympa de l'hôtel c'est le distributeur de savon qui est dans la douche... 😓. Hotel pour personnes âgées. Beaucoup d'interdits. Chambres bruyantes. Rien n'est prévu pour les enfants. Encore 3 jours.... c long.

O quarto é simples, mas confortável e limpo. O café da manhã é excelente. O hotel é muito bem localizado, os funcionários são prestativos e todos os dias, no período vespertino, havia música e pessoas dançando (muito agradável). Em síntese, foi uma estadia muito boa...recomendo.

Helt okej hotell!

Rummet var lagom stort med skön säng och väl fungerande luftkonditionering. Lite högljutt ibland då vår balkong vette mot platsen där hotellet hade liveshower vissa dagar i veckan men var inget som störde oss. Trevligt poolområde och bra mat vid poolbaren. En kort promenad ner till vattnet och Castello Aragonese. Ett minus var renligheten, en del damm och spån i hörnen, något spindelnät vid balkongdörren och ett par myror i badrummet. Allt som allt var vi dock nöjda med vår vistelse!

Grazioso albergo a 1,5 km dal mare, serv. navetta.

Buono per una vacanza rilassante. Il porto è facilmente raggiungibile, passeggiando per la strada principale completa di negozi e strutture per cenare ascoltando musica.

Our room was noise, since we had gotten a room right next to the shared toilets, even though we had our own bathroom.
The spa was very small and only fit a few persons, the Therminal pool was closed. Definitely not a 4* hotel Danish standards.
The staff was friendly and it was clean and a nice area.
