Enjoyable and convenient stay

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful especially Francesca who was a delightful lady. If you want to see Assisi for a few days but find living in the hill town difficult then this is the perfect hotel for you. It is located in the town of Santa Maria degli Angeli and it’s only a 50 meters walk to the bus stop for the bus for Assisi. The bus also calls at the train station so it’s easy to catch a train for your onward journeys. There is a reasonable restaurant in the hotel so you can have your dinner without having to leave the premises. The other restaurants in town are just quite average

I checked in 1 o'clock and went out to get dinner 7 o'clock.after dinner when we came back we recognized someone who came in and touched bed .Its very not nice.

Easy walking to many restaurants. Close to train.

Always knowledgeable info from the front desk. The city bus takes one to all the portals of the city of Assisi. We were pleased to have one of the main sites \"Santa Maria de Angelo\"
Basilica one block away and the city bus stop too. The people and restaurant were so helpful and friendly all around the hotel neighborhood. Plan to walk a lot and map out your daily plan. Hope to return and visit the areas we missed. A+

Clean and pleasant place but poor breakfast

Hotel is in a good condition. Location is convenient too . But the breakfast is a big dissappoinment. Out of the expectation from a 4star hotel, they only provide a few food selections in breakfast. Not even has any fruits for breakfast. If you can over look the poor breakfast , it is still a place to pick.

Having booked last minute whilst traveling to the area of Assisi, booking via a smartphone, we were pleased to fall upon this modern hotel in a lovely area in walking distance to the towns main Basilica and piazza which attracted people during the evening enjoying a drink or ice cream.

Stayed one night in January in this generally non-descript town of Santa Maria degli Angeli just down the hill from Assisi. Hotel is about a hundred yards from impressive namesake church. Hotel is new, spacious, contemporary style. Room comfortable, well-furnished. Excellent shower in new 4-fixture bathroom. Convenient parking behind the hotel. Good dinner in hotel restaurant, and generous breakfast.

Everything about the hotel was very nice, clean, good size room with nice linens, excellent breakfast with many choices to eat and drink. The desk staff were all extremely pleasant and very helpful. Also the hotel had a small but convenient location to park a car. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. The only drawback was that it was not as close to the main Assisi attraction, however, that was my own fault for not doing enough research. The hotel itself was definitely an \"A\" quality.

Excellent Hotel for a short or longer visit

An Excellent hotel for a short or longer visit to Assisi, we stayed 2 days. I would recommend not walking up to Assisi from here because Assisi is very hilly and can be a taxing days walking, especially if you are visiting the Rocca. Hotel staff and amenities were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Staff were helpful in providing tourist information. Place is a bit old and it does not have heater, so it can get pretty cold during the night especially for winter time. Inside the room there isnt any kettle or bottled water provided so we have to go to the counter to ask for hot water which is quite inconvenient. Although the place has a lift, there are still some small steps for some of the rooms, which can be pretty troublesome if you have heavy/bulky luggage.

Nice hotel near Asis when you are driving a car

Hotel convenient to train station. Bus at corner takes you in a few minutes to top of city. Hotel also across from St. Mary of the Angels and Porciuncula church. Hotel had a family atmosphere. Front desk very helpful and Ervine at the restaurant was great. Breakfast was good. Several eateries in neighborhood. Room was well appointed with a great train shower. AC temperature is centrally controlled and we found it a little hot. Room got a little noisy on the am. We would use hotel again.

Gem in the heart of Umbria

My family and I recently spent 5 wonderful days in the Dal Moro Gallery Hotel. It was ideally placed for travelling Umbria and Tuscany. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were courteous and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent as were the meals we enjoyed in the restaurant and very reasonable. The service was first class. We will definitely go back.

My wife and I stayed in Assisi for 3 days and just fell in love with this small city. The hotel is clean and staff will help if you don't speak Italian. You are across the street from an amazing basilica and there's over a dozen places to eat within a 2 minute walk from the hotel doors. All in all, I would stay at this hotel again if we were blessed with another trip to Assisi.

Our stay was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located near the historical city of Assisi. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel staff is excellent and always ready to help or advise. The only shortcoming is the (included) breakfast. We ended up mostly using breakfast outside the hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located with easy bus ride to old town Assisi. The staff at the front desk were very helpful with answering questions, suggesting restaurants, etc. The hotel is clean but obviously has not been well cared for. The floors are not in good condition and the whole hotel needs updating. The breakfast was good and the serving staff were friendly and helpful. THis is 2 and a half stars at best.

The Real Thing

This was our favourite hotel during our 5.5 weeks of travel through Italy. Located a 15 minute bus ride down the hill from the old town of Assisi meant it was quiet, not touristy with a vibrant local night life and a authentic market during the day. And the sights of Assisi were easily accessible by bus... a beautiful ride up in itself. The hotel had the friendliest and most professional staff by far, served an amazing breakfast, had a pool and a very unusual but classy feel. The room was bright and a good size. We had an excellent meal in the hotel and the next night at an Umbrian restaurant nearby. A fun stay.

Great get-away from the hectic Assisi village.

Great hotel staff made us feel at home and cared for. The Air Conditioning was turned on when we arrived in our room and that made all the difference in making us feel COOL and Relaxed after a long day in the hot sun.The AC did turn down on its own during the night and I had to get up to reset it to a lower temp.

An excellent place to stay

The hotel is very near the basilica of St Mary of the angels and only a few minutes walk from the railway station. The bus service between the railway station and the ancient village of Assisi runs about every twenty minutes and offers a selection of places around the town as destinations. Go to the top and walk down. Arrive at the bottom and walk up. Arrive in the middle and walk where you like. The hotel opens onto a quiet street in the lower part of the town and is a very satisfactory place to stay. The food on offer is excellent, and the staff at front of house are friendly, very helpful and efficient.

Beautiful, clean modern hotel

Great hotel in Assisi, but keep in mind that this is downtown and not near the St. Francis Basilica, which is a 15 minute bus ride away for one Euro.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, with modern, clean styling and bilingual staff. Air conditioning, free internet, and all modern amenities. There is an excellent breakfast buffet provided. Rooms are big compared to any city center hotel (Rome, Venice, etc.) but still smaller than American standards (would be a small-ish american room). There is a rooftop pool, and a little outside personal terrace with most rooms which is great for a couple hours of reading during some downtime.

Overall an excellent hotel and had no complaints whatsoever.

Good base for exploring Assissi & Umbria

We had an enjoyable stay at this great touring base a stone's throw from the Basilica at St Maria. Clean, comfortable and presentable. The swimming pool has to be the smallest in the world but it was extremely welcome after some active sightseeing. Definitely a 2-stroke rather than 4-stroke pool! The staff were efficient and helpful & I was able to use the hotel computer to print off my BA boarding passes for the return journey (small charge). I'm British so I do like tea & coffee facilities in my room - these were absent but they are in so many European hotels. Breakfast was fine and cheerily served. A car is essential if not on a guided tour and Assissi is too far to walk in the summer heat. Buses do pass the hotel. There is a small selection of restaurants, some of which were closed for summer holidays when we were there. A very quiet area. We spent 5 nights here and were very pleased.

Bellisimo! Great Hotel--Best in My Recent Italian Travels

Close to the Santa Maria degli Angeli train station and a short bus ride to Assisi, this hotel served our purposes well. Cool air conditioning, friendly hotel staff, wifi with reasonable rates, quite spacious and well-appointed rooms, and an outstanding and delicious free breakfast! Within easy walking distance of the Santa Maria church, local crafts booths, an Italian bank with worldwuide ATM services, and reasonably priced restaurants and gift shops. It will be my first choice next trip to Italy and the Umbria region.

modern, sleek, large rooms, comfy beds, large baths, but breakfast is minimalistic, only some milk, yogurt and cereals, no eggs, bacon or cheese, ham that you find at other hotels.Also rooms that look outside rather noisy during the day due to traffic; at night the street closes off so you can get a good night rest. It is with 100 yards of bus stop to go to ST Francis Basilica however to get to hotel from train station you can do two things: get a taxi from train station for 6 Euro or take the bus all the way to Assisi and BACK.. as the station for the hotel is on the route back,and I mean you have to wait until the bus goes all the way to the last stop and then comes back..towalk it is hard because of some construction

Per la prima volta ho soggiornato in questa struttura che proprio in quel giorno riapriva dopo il periodo di chiusura per il Covid 19.
Partiamo dai nei il bagno un po' angusto ed una colonna portante in camera che disturbava il movimento.
Per il resto tutto ok a partire dalla cortesia del personale, dalla pulizia eccezionale, alla posizione strategica della struttura, alla prima colazione veramente valida con la possibilità di scegliere tra diversi menu ed al letto veramente comodo. Considerando che sono stato tra i primi clienti dopo la riapertura devo encomiare tutto lo staff che ha approntato tutti i presidi necessari e forse anche più di quanto richiesto dalle norme. Peccato non aver potuto utilizzare il ristorante che non era ancora operativo.

La fermata del bus per Assisi, si trova di fianco la Basilica e nei dintorni ci sono locali dove si può prendere qualcosa da mangiare in modo veloce. Esperienza totalmente positiva e da consigliare

L’hotel è in pieno centro, vicinissimo alla basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli; i clienti hanno la possibilità di parcheggiare all’interno dell’hotel e raggiungere Assisi comodamente con autobus urbani.

Breve vacanza di tre giorni in Umbria.

Ottimo hotel, servizi perfetti, cucina ottima, colazione straordinaria. Garage e parcheggio molto disponibili. Camera un po' disturbata con strani battiti rumorosi nelle ore notturne provenienti dal vano scale. Impatto un po' freddino all'arrivo nella reception. Cercate di imparare a sorridere un pochino. Hotel show de bola! Tudo perfeito. Chegamos antes do check in e deixamos nossas malas na recepção enquanto subimos pra Assisi. Hotel muito bem localizado, deu pra ir a pé da rodoviária pro hotel. Excelente café da manhã, banho excelente e cama muito confortável. Só o secador com pouca potência.

Hotel a due passi dalla basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli...confort e pulizia eccellente... camera non molto grande ma con terrazzino con vista sui tetti e della basilica... colazione ottima da ritornare

Ottima struttura poco distante dalla Porziuncola.

Personale Professionalmente preparato e pronto a soddisfare le tue richieste.
La ristorazione è da 5 stelle.
Una cosa mi ha colpito. Il responsabile delle colazioni spiega tutto ciò che è sul tavolo dei dolci. Fantastico

Très heureux de mon séjour dans cet hôtel. Je reviendrai. Et en plus, la cuisine est bonne. Donc très bien pour une 1/2 pension. A midi, on va se promener dans les environs et connaitre les autres restaurants. Petit bémol (mais non rédhibitoire) : la baignoire/douche : un peu petit.

Ottimo weekend a S. Maria degli Angeli

Siamo stati per la priva volta in questo hotel..che dire? tutto perfetto...dalle camere ampie, pulite e soprattutto piene di confort...al wi-fi velocissimo e al parcheggio incluso. Gentilezza e cordialità nel personale e ottima colazione piena e ricca.
Davvero contento...ritorneremo
