Beautiful little bed and breakfast! Very homey and nice.

Staff was so kind and warm! We had to leave before breakfast, and they sent us off with some pastries and juice.

It’s a lot of walking to get to the top where the place is located, but that’s not their fault, so don’t want to take away stars for that - just want others to be informed :) (there is a bus that can take you down, but it was closed for holiday while I was there)

Definitely worth the stay, and if I’m ever in Interlaken again, I will definitely be seeking out a lovely here stay again!

The property is a boutique hotel but has everything we need including thoughtful laundry facilities. The view from the hotel cafe is breathtaking facing the jade like green color river with mountains on the far side. We really enjoyed sitting there by the river having breakfast, enjoying sunset and playing games at night. Just one thing if the bedding sheets and blankets would be better quality, that would be perfect!

Peaceful stay just outside of town

Friendly staff, beautiful views, & lovely breakfast each morning. We were lucky to have a corner room overlooking Interlaken and away from other rooms. Walls are very thin — We had a sound machine & were not next door to anyone loud thankfully. Could hear foot steps above us but it wasn’t that big of a deal (the building is old). I’d definitely recommend this place if you want to get away from the craziness in town. There is room for parking or a bus that drops off close by (Dorf Goldswil stop), but pay close attention to the bus routes! If you miss the bus you’ll need to hike up the hill or catch a taxi.

Horrible experience. Ants all over the bathroom. They changed our room to top floor with the bathroom not attached and the had use winding stair to go up with luggage and this damaged my husbands knee and messed up our vacation. Toilet flush did not work the first day but was fixed later. And Stella the manager was very rude.
Would not recommend this hotel. Very pricey too. Breakfast was okay not great.

My friends and I loved (not like but LOVE) our stay in Gasthoff Schoenegg. We were very cautious at first regarding this booking because we were not sure if it's legit. However, it was very very very legit. The rooms were smaller than US hotels and B&B but i think this is the norm here in switzerland, so it's okay. Esther and the other staff were all kind and hospitable. They helped us carry our luggages inside our room. She prepared ys breakfast whenever we need to leave early for our itineraries. Breakfast in the B&B was delicious and hot. You'll know it was prepared fresh that morning. There's also a washer and dryer that we were able to use. They have a microwave in the common room. We had a mini kitchen in our room so it is homey. You can also borrow cords and umbrellas if u need them. Esther replies attentively in the expedia app whenever we have questions

Incredible views outside my widow. Breakfast was excellent-eggs, variety of meats and cheese, dried fruits, yogurt, waffle/bread. Location was about 20 minute walk ( hilly) to Interlaken ost. (Coop across station). Bus 102 stop is few yards from hotel ( brings you to Interlaken ost in 5-10 minutes). Friendly staff. Grocery next door has meat/cheese. Walkable to Lake Brienze .

Amazing location, breakfast provided was really good. Interlaken pass for discounts and free transport was also very handy. Only inconvenience we experienced is that you are not allowed to eat in your room and have to store your stuff in a shared fridge and eat in a shared area. I understand meals not being able to eat but if we just wanted to buy some crisps to snack on in the room we wouldn’t have been able to. Other than that there was no issues. Over all a good stay and good service.

The bed and breakfast hotel is excellent for travelers on budget. Great location, near Interlaken OST which is really excellent choice for those who want to explore the neighboring town like Grindelwald. The hotel also provide a FREE Interlaken Pass for bus and can be used as discount for train tickets around Interlaken(A+), which helps a lot in the end. Breakfast is good for budget hotel with a lot of selections. Staffs are excellent. Room are kept clean everyday A+. Lastly, asked for a FAN when you check in coz it’s really HOT during summer and don’t open the window at night coz the flies come in. Most budget accommodations in Switzerland has no AC so be prepared. Over all our stay was amazing, especially the dining area with the most SPECTACULAR VIEWS which was priceless. Thank you to all the staff for making our first visit in SWITZERLAND quite memorable and fun. DANKA! Till next time!

We enjoyed our time there. The view is beautiful! Nice and close to bus stop. The only complaint is the bed. We were in room number two and the bed frame needs to be replaced. It squeaks really really really bad. Wakes you up when you move. It’s an older place but has a nice charm about it. The room was clean and has a nice big window which was a life saver because it was really hot the days we were there. Just hope they fix the bed.

The location is a 15 min walk from Interlaken Ost station. Very walkable and scenic. The property sits on a hill with stunning views. The included breakfast is delicious and when sitting outside, one can see the lake and gorgeous mountains. The best part of the stay was the incredible staff who are very attentive, communicative, and exceed expectations. We departed at 5am and they had prepared a ready to go breakfast with many goodies. Would definitely stay here again.

The host was lovely! She was incredibly helpful, inviting, and gave us wonderful advice on where to go. The breakfast was one of the highlights as was the lounge/terrace and the view from our room. The location was beautiful as well- surrounded by greenery and quiet surroundings yet very close to the bus station to head downtown/centrally. Overall this was a very enjoyable experience for my family and I and would recommend this B&B for anyone coming to Interlaken.

This B&B exceeded any expectations. It is situated a few minutes away from the centre of Interlaken on a hillside. 5 min bus ride or 20 min walk. Staff was great and attentive. Our triple room was spacious and clean. The view was spectacular. Breakfast was phenomenal. They have laundry on site which is a huge plus.
However, knowing that this facility is older. We know creaking sounds is unavoidable, but maybe it is time for the single bed frame in the triple room to be replaced. Every single movement made it creaked like crazy that woke everyone up.
Having said that, i would still come back and would even recommend this lovely B&B to everyone.

Our stay here was lovely! I cannot recommend this place enough. The location was perfect, a very short drive from Interlaken city center. The view from the hotel was INCREDIBLE! We spent most of the time just sitting on the back terrace overlooking the lake and mountains, very peaceful. The staff was very kind, breakfast was delicious and we were able to do laundry for just 10 CHF per load. Will definitely be coming back and staying here!!

The location and service sell this accommodation in Interlaken. Easily accessible by bus from Interlaken Ost station or it can be a good walk/hike (about 20 mins). You get a free bus pass as part of your stay. You’ll get awesome views of Interlaken through the common dining and lounge area. Breakfast included was also a nice perk! It was awesome 😎! The concierge was pleasant! The breakfast was great 👍 and had cute little cups to be sanitary.Also little containers full of juice and milk. You can use the outside patio and breakfast room to eat takeout lunch and dinner! The bathroom was nice it was warm and high pressure. The beds were so comfy 😊 as well as the blankets. The views of Interlaken were stunning! They let us use the washing machine, microwave and fridge. Also it's so clean 😁. It's,🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟!!!

The hotel was fine, although our experience was ruined by the lack of communication between the host and employees. We communicated in advance about leaving the room keys in a safe box and confirmed it before arrival, but upon arriving at night in the middle of the snow storm, the keys were nowhere to be found. The contact info for the host wasn’t straightforward either, but after calling her an employee drove in 25 minutes to hand us our keys.

What a great stay. A beautiful looking guest house with great views back over Interlaken. Not sure if all rooms have such views but ours was great. Special thanks to the proprietor (Esther) for being so accommodating. With the changing travel rules we needed to extend our stay at very short notice and they picked up the phone at 11 at night to help us out!… Super service. There was lots of parking available, and a real bonus is the free bus pass to get down to interlaken and back for the duration of our stay, we used this many times. Our room had a lovely alpine feel, and whilst the shower room looked basic it was perfectly fine and the whole room very clean. Comfy beds, warm, very cosy, and a great night sleep. Would love to return one day.

The location of this hotel is super close (about less than 5 min drive) to the centre, yet away from the hustle and bustle. Located just up the main road, so it is easily accessible when you have to go to the main town. Property has lots of free parking on site as well!

My room had the perfect view - the river, town, and the gorgeous mountains towering everything. It was really nice to wake up to this view every morning and to look at during sunset!

The staff here are also very accommodating, friendly, and know how to treat their clients best.

I definitely recommend this hotel/B&B to anyone who wants to stay close to Lake Brienz!

Stayed here for 2 nights in September and really enjoyed it. It takes about 15 minutes to walk into town. Personally I found it nice being outside of town as Interlaken is very touristy. It's also cheaper as a result (though still expensive compared to hotels in almost any other country!).

A buffet breakfast is included and they have a nice terrace. They also have a fridge for all guests to use.

Black Hotel even in SWISS

My family felt unhappy because this hotel charge me the extra money for late check out period for 2 hrs with SF70. It is very unreasonable since the hotel staff have not told me that the latest check out time during my arrival. Meanwhile, the penalty charge was very high, i. e. SF70 for 2 hours only. Terrible! I would say it is a Black Hotel actually!

Views are incredible and building is quaint and beautiful. However, paid for a larger room for 3 people, and you could barely fit luggage in room with beds. Thankfully we had a bathroom, but again could barely turn around in the shower. Too small room and bathroom for 3 adults. Internet was sporadic unless you went to the common area. Staff was very friendly, but for the value just not there. If we had paid 60% of the rate, would not be complaining.

It was a unique experience, staying in an authentic Swiss chalet aged 220 years old 😊. Check in was quick. View awesome. Just don't be surprised if you find no TV in the room. Just enjoy the ambience.

No “lake view” from the room as advertised

We booked a triple room with lake view but got a room with parking lot view... I specifically chose this property over a comparable one for the “lake view” but was not happy with their arrangement. Staff said that I only booked a week before but if it was so advertised, promises should be met. Nevertheless, the staff are very nice and helpful though. And the view from the terrace is amazing.

Hotel is ok, fairly good value for Switzerland, but the third bed in the room was just two mattresses on top of each other, it wasn't really a bed. Also, the terrace with great views was only open on a limited basis.
