Make sure you don't end up in the Hafenturm part of the hotel. No ventilation in the rooms and no AC either. Coupled with the fact that the rooms are facing the railway line and you need to keep the window open for some chance of oxygen supply means poor sleep in very hot and noisy conditions

If you find yourself in Papenburg this is a great spot. Excellent bar and restaurant and the rooms are absolutely fine.
4 minutes walk from train station if that’s how you’re arriving.
They can also organise taxis to take you on afterwards but make sure you have cash for those.
Will definitely stay again when I’m in papenburg

A Real Gem In Papenburg

I would call the hotel top-notch. All the facilities were excellent. The breakfast buffet was delightful and my eyes popped when I saw an automatic pancake maker. On our 2-day stay, we ate a full meal in mid-afternoon. The second day we ate in the Biergarten and enjoyed excellent steaks and wine. Our room was spotless. The hotel layout was easy to navigate. We took an early evening stroll along the canal outside the hotel entrance and it was beautiful, peaceful and romantic. Just writing about it makes me want to return ASAP. Ditto for my wife.

This was probably one of the most unique hotels I ever stayed in.Even though I do not speak German the staff was very accommodating and gracious. The hotel was a reflection of the city itself which has Shipbuilding history and was quite unique. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic and I rate it 4 stars out of 4.

Incredible breakfast buffet,- I would choose this Hotel over other just for breakfast along (SOOO good).
Love their architecture,- main restaurant (and breakfast area) located inside of an converted old ShipYard, with some remaining components from the Yard (gives this décor very unique look)

Tolles Hotel

Das Hotel verbindet moderne und historisches. Der Service war sehr gut und die Angestellten waren hilfsbereit. Parkplätze waren vor dem Hotel kostenlos genügend vorhanden. Das Zimmer war geräumig, sauber und modern. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und toll angerichtet.

Fint opphold, men en feil fra resepsjonen gjorde sat vi fikk singlerom første natta. Fikk et oppgradert, flott rom natt nr to. Flott restaurant, men maten var ikke som forventet.

Tolle Industrie-Architektur. Gutes Restaurant.

Industriedesign vom Allerfeinsten, wunderschön! Blick für und Liebe zum Detail, wirklich toll gemacht. Ruhig gelegen, extrem sauber, große Zimmer. Exzellentes Buffet zum Frühstück. Auch gutes Abendessen, mit Licht und Schatten. Schatten: ein gruseliger Caesars Salad, so schlecht hatten wir ihn noch nie. Ertränkt in einer wohl auf Maionaise basierenden Sauce ohne Parmesan Geschmack. Schade um den knackiges Salat. Weiterhin: nichts wurde während des Abendessens abgeräumt, zum Ende der Mahlzeit waren wir umgeben von Leeren Eis- und Aperitif- und diversen leeren Biergläsern.
Licht: alles Andere war top, klasse Burger, gute Fries, guter Beilagensalat, gute Schnitzel u Bratkartoffeln. Unglaublich freundlicher, junger und herzlicher Service.
Alles in allem alle Daumen hoch!👍👍

TipTop! Super Zimmer 501 mit allem was man sich wünscht! Frühstück war auch spitze. Der Schiffslinienhalbschnitt über meinem Tisch hatte dem gleichen Namen wie meine Assistentin. Nett! Als Schiffbauer komme ich jetzt öfter hierher bzw. Auf einer und insbesondere auf dieser Werft fühle ich mich wohl!

ein schönes Hotel mit interessanter Geschichte. Alles war super. Der einzige Schwachpunkt war das Personal im Frühstückraum. Zwar sehr nett aber ein bisschen unbeholfen. Die Tische wurde nicht schnell genug abgeräumt und wieder gedeckt, so dass die Gäste immer warten müssten, obwohl es nur wenige Gäste gab.

Von wegen gutes Frühstück

Das Frühstück war einfach nur peinlich für ein Vier-Sterne-Hotel. Es gibt Frühstück bis 10.00h, wir kamen um 9.00h. Es war fast alles weg, es wurde nichts nachgelegt, die Butterreste schmierten ungekühlt vor sich hin.

Lage, Frühstück und Service sehr zu empfehlen!

Mitten in der Stadt und doch ein wenig abgelegen gelegen, war es selbst für mein navi ein wenig tricky das Hotel zu finden. Das Hotel ist älteren Baujahrs, aber mit neuen Elementen kombiniert. Es ist sehr sauber, das Frühstück war mega gut - selten so eine Vielfalt und Frische vorgefunden - das ist wirklcih TOP!
Die Zimmer sehr geräumig (wenn man die Eckzimmer bekommt!!) und das Bad auch sehr gross. ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt!
