It was an okay hotel for budget travelers needing only to stay overnight. Staff were nice, speaks English well. Room was okay. It was noisy during the night, which I think is expected because of it's proximity to the restos and bars.

Cleaning needs improving - lots of hair: Hair in bed, floor, toilet. Bed sheets had hair and stains on it. Towels with stains. (Asked for new towels and sheets and this was fine).
Check in was very quick.
WiFi poor - fortunately I bought an esim.
Breakfast staff were lovely. Breakfast is good and filling.
Great location - 8mins walk to a tram stop, 20-25min walk to the main attractions.
Great stay for a woman solo traveller.
A little noisy in the room (from street and other guests).
Overall I’d recommend for a budget stay.

Alphonse Hotel is an excellent place to stay if you want to go to Istanbul because its very close to the grand bazaar and other tourist places. This place offers great food and service. We are soooo glad we stayed here. If we come back this is my place to stay.

Pros: location is close to grand bazar and tram and blue mosque, fair price, breakfast wasnt amazing but okat, staff was friendly.

Cons: hotel is on a very busy small street, lots of cars honking and windows arent sealed well so its not ideal for light sleepers, rooms are very small and tight. Beds are very uncomfortable and bad, the first room we got i could feel the springs on the bed and the room smelled of smoke. Then they exchanged our room and it was slightly better. But beds were still bad and bed sheets not great either. The cleaning lady would only fix-the bed and maybe put new towels. Didn't clean the bathroom.

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. Great experience it was
Staff is very friendly and coperative. The location of the hotel stands out to be very convenient as most of the historical attractions, food street, shops and metro station are just few min away by walk.
Breakfast is also very nice.
Room sizes are small but it doesnt really matter if you are coming to Istanbul to spend most of the time outside.

nice hotel close to yenikapi ferry terminal. area is very lively, historical center is also really close. the street is a little bit noisy and busy, but at night it calms down. my room was single, not so much space but enough. the bathroom was small but clean, and hot water was really hot. the room was warm and cozy (it was cold outside, at the beginning of march). i liked breakfast a lot, good variety and quality of food, every day there was something different. first there was some trouble with the kettle in my room, it was replaced in a few minutes. staff was really friendly and helpful.
would gladly stay here again.

I asked them to clean my room floor and they never did. the room size looked fairly big on hotel.com but indeed it was so tiny and couldn't even move around my bed. mattress was so thin and terrible and woke up with back pain every morning. staff are so mean and not friendly. toilet seat was dripping water constantly and they never fixed it. the only thing was good is the breakfast buffet.

Very nice helpful professional staff , clean hotel , good breakfast , room in very good condition , very decently located , about 12 minutes walking to blue mosque , about 10 minutes to beyazit and grand bazar and about 12 minutes to the metro station , many places to eat and buy groceries on a walking distance , you can easily find a taxi right outside the hotel too , overall very good clean place to stay at , I would definitely come back here again .

Well located and comfortable hotel

Alphonse Hotel is located in a busy city street, in walking distance to many main attractions. It is a 10 minute walk to the metro. The rooms are small, however have everything you need. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent. We had two nights here at the start of our trip around Turkey and two at the end. The hotel was very happy to store some of our luggage. Good value for money.

Compact hotel in noisy commercial location

The hotel is opposite a mosque with powerful loudspeakers, so at 4am expect a wake up call. The street is very busy with people and traffic, although double glazed, I repeatedly had to check the windows were closed.

Bathroom, found a pubic hat when I moved in, despite the ubiquitous toilet banner telling me was all clean etc. The bathroom had a whiff of sewage about it, so would regularly run taps .

Room was modern and compact. Tv had 600 plus international channels, typically nothing worth watching !

The location is odd turn left and you are in the textile market, nothing of interest for your average tourist. Turn right and go past the jail ! and you are welcomed with dozens of restaurants with several hundred covers, beautiful sight.

Tram is a kilometre away up a gruelling hill.

Depending on time of day the streets can be very dirty.

New hotel with in 5 minute walking from Grand Bazaar (there is a 500m climb) Excellent staff, every day room was cleaned, and towels ware been replaced. Breakfast was satisfying. Double bed was short, so my feet was over the edge, and I'm normally tall (185cm). The mosque is in front of the hotel, so every morning between 5 and 6 am there is a religious singing, but that's the case in all Turkey, so get use to it or bring earplugs.
Beware of pickpockets on the street in the evening.
Overall, excellent accommodation for money paid.

The stay was satisfactory. There is room for improvement. No air conditioning, no extractor fans in the bathroom. The rooms were neat and clean,nice furniture.Chang was a very friendly staff member and very helpful. The breakfast was average,food was cold,and not much variety. We stayed for 5 nights and breakfast hardly changed at all. There was a nice coffee machine at breakfast. There was a stench of drain smell from the stairs leading from the lobby to the room. Very noisy at night because its right on the street.

Although it is nearby grand bazar but to reach to it from Grand bazar tram station you have to climb down a very steep Hill....& the Most difficult when you go back to tram station you to climb it back.
Also the hotel is difficult to identify as there were no big layout.....name was written in a very small font.
My. Room was unbelievebly small but it is a common issue in 2-3stars hotels.
Otherwise the room was clean & staff was nice.

Great hotel, excellent location (walking distance to Sultanahmed mosque and famous Grand bazar) very pleasant, polite, kind and helpful staff, almost all of them speak English and Russian. Breakfast was good as well with different variaties everyday. We stayed for 12 days and we enjoyed our stay. My sister arrived from Uzbekistan and my self from United Kingdom. It was nice, without any hassles. Rooms were fresh, and breakfast service was very good. The distance from tram was further away, than I expected. It was hard to go down and up hill several times during hot during time..But there is nothing to do with location. Hotel building is narrow, small, and so rooms were small too. But probably there are some wide rooms for higher prices.

Die Unterkunft war zentral gelegen. Hinter dem Hotel befindet sich die Kumpkani-Station, und etwa 200 Meter in Richtung Meer gibt es ein Fischrestaurant. Dort kann man sich frischen Fisch selbst aussuchen, der anschließend direkt gegrillt oder gebraten wird.
Das Personal war nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet war leider täglich das Gleiche, aber das Essen war sauber und abwechslungsreich.

Please do your self a favor and don’t go to this Hotel. First things first, the hotel is located in the badest area in Istanbul. It’s definitely not safe. It’s like the ghetto in Istanbul. Die Unterkunft war sehr zentral zu den meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Man konnte alles bequem zufuß erreichen. Dss Personal war super nett. Das Frühstückbuffet war reichhaltig. Einziges Manko war , dass es nachts draußen halt laut war, was aber nichts mit dem Hotel zu tun hat sondern mit dem Taxiverkehr :)

The staff was very kind and helpful. After spending the first night on a small noisy room they kindly changed us to a bigger most comfortable one on a higher floor. Additionally, one of the receptionist helped us contact Turkish Airlines (it was quite difficult due to the Covid-19 crisis) as they had cancelled our flight, so we could get back home. The hotel is located at about 15-20min walk from Sutanahmet at a local neighbourhood. The surroundings were full of local restaurants where there were no non-turkish tourists at all, so it was a good opportunity to try local cuisine.

짐보관 서비스와 저희가 택시가 필요할 때 택시를 부르는 일에 성심성의것 도와주셔서 감동했습니다.
다소 룸컨디션은 깨끗하지 못했습니다.
배수구는 막혀서 샤워도중 물이 차오르고, 바닥엔 먼지가 많았습니다.
심지어 침대에는 저희것이 아닌 듯한 머리카락이 많아서 조금 찜찜했습니다.
하지만 가격이 너무 저렴했고! 급하게 숙소가 필요하던 차에 잘 머무르고 갔습니다.

Hyggelig og greit hotell til en rimelig penge

Hyggelig og greit hotell sentralt i den vestre delen av Istanbull. Til en veldig hyggelig pris. Nabolaget ser ikke helt trygt eller moderne ut. Siden hotellet ligger så sentralt trengte vi ikke bruke taxi eller buss. Selv med svekket helse gikk vi fra hotellet til de store severdighetene i Istanbul. Vi hverken så eller opplevde noe utrygt.

In generale posso consigliare questa struttura. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Non sono rimasta per niente soddisfatta della pulizia. In camera abbiamo trovato capelli sul letto e il bagno sporco ancora dai clienti precedenti. Per di più dal soffitto del bagno cadeva acqua perché c'era una perdita. Ci hanno dovuto infatti cambiare la stanza il primo giorno di arrivo. Per il resto nulla da dire. Colazione ok, personale molto gentile.

The hotel was overall good. The breakfast was basic, and the personale was sweet. Moreover, i like the location if you want to visit the grand bazar and the sightseeing. But if you want to go to forexample taksim it is far away. And lastly the rooms is very smalls

Sehr freundliches Personal und auf dem ersten Blick ein sauberes Hotel. Die Hand - und Badetücher werden täglich gewechselt und das Zimmer sauber gemacht. Die Putzfrau war sehr süß und freundlich, jedoch bringt es nichts wenn das Bad nie sauber gemacht wird -.- und das, obwohl wir sie mehrmals drauf angesprochen haben. An sich sieht das Hotel gut aus. Preis - Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Wenn man nur zum Schlafen hingeht (so wie bei uns) kann ichs weiterempfehlen. Um die Metro zu erreichen muss man nur 8 Minuten laufen (jedoch ganz steil bergauf). Das Hotel liegt in Fatih - Kumkapı. Jeder Taxifahrer meinte, dass eine Straße weiter (die Hinterstraßen) keine so gute Gegend sein soll und wir nicht da lang laufen sollen.

Guzel bir deneyim

Mukemmel bir konumu var..sahilden ya da eminonunden rahatca yuruyerek yada tramwayla gelebikirsiniz. Tramvayla Beyazit istasyonunda inip direk asagi 300 mtbyuruyin saga donun ve 50 mtre ilerde solda.. otelin etrafinda cok uygun yemeknyiyebileceginiz lokantalar mevcut.. yol uzeri oldugundan biraz ses olabiliyor ama önemli degil..

翌日の空港行きのバス乗り場に近いので選択した。部屋は狭かったが、空調は効きすぎるということなく、静かで心地良く、トイレ・シャワールームも清潔感があった。朝食はサラダ類が多く、野菜タップリの食事で満足。周囲にはレストラン、食堂など多数ありました。

The staff were very helpful. The hotel is near the tourist attractions in Istanbul. The Grand bazar was 10-15 minutes away. The breakfast was good enough.
