Our king room was HUGE and we had a fireplace. Clean, quiet and a gorgeous view of the circle. We will definitely stay again! Caviot is my allergies are significantly impacted by carpeted rooms and this room was carpeted - zero allergy issues.

The room itself was fine, but the HVAC made a loud buzzing noise almost all day and night. The sink drained slowly because it was clogged, and there were always people outside smoking cigarettes and cigars. To top it off, protestors gathered out front yelling at people, which made for quite an experience. Expect $3 water bottles and expensive bar prices!

We had to move rooms twice during our stay. Our first room was so noisy it felt as though the entrance way was shaking. Moving led to us being downgraded to a Queen Queen room. We then had to move again due to a leek in the room next door. It was not as we had hoped. The second time we moved the receptionist told us we could have been upgraded if we had booked directly, which I wasn't impressed with as we just wanted the room we had booked.

All the staff were helpful and courteous and friendly, and despite the fact that our hotel was right on the busiest square in Gettysburg we never heard traffic noise. It was very quiet. We came in for the Christmas Festival, Dec. 5-7. We had the most beautiful King room overlooking the square. Every aspect of the hotel was perfection and we enjoyed all the festivities that were held. An absolutely lovely time. Our housekeeper could not have been more helpful. All staff did their utmost to meet our needs. We will stay here again for sure!

Service and hotel location was a great. You can walk to restaurants and stores. The room was clean. The only issue we had was the comfortability of the pull out sofa in the king suite. Very uncomfortable mattress. But the housekeepers tended to it quickly and brought more blankets to add padding so my friend could sleep on it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one-night stay at the Hotel Gettysburg! Check-in was easy, as we were able to park in front of the hotel to unload; parking was self-service in a public garage behind the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely with a beautiful lobby, and hallways with historical displays. Our room was nice...very comfy, spacious, and clean. As was the bathroom. A nice place to stay while visiting this historic town.

The building looks historic from the street, but has all the (bland) charm of a holiday inn inside.

- On one of the beds, when I pulled the cover back there was an enormous wet spot that apparently was just covered over. No idea what it was and don't want to know.

Hotel was clean and very quiet. The location is perfect since it's in the center of everything. Easy access to the parking garage behind the hotel. Check in and check out was quick. Hotel was organized and gave us a list of local eatery's in the area. The only upset we had was the hotel lost total power for the day on Halloween, but thankfully it was restored by the evening. It was not the hotel's fault though. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Gettysburg.
