Disgusting 1* Hostel!

I checked in late and the room was already given to other people who were using it. The manager took me to the room and had to ask 2 ladies to leave the room and handed it to me with a used bed, linen was dirty. A dirty shower (the ladies had just showered) and after they left in front of me, they left their cigarettes (the room reeked of smoke). I went downstairs to ask for my refund as there was no way I was going to stay at this hostel, did the manager not tell me to buzz off. Very rude, very aggressive too! Another gentleman offered me another room which seemed like a dungeon, it had a machine that made noise the whole night, a sink with drainage issues, I hardly slept that night but because it was already midnight I stayed and left the first thing the morning after I found out the rude man was the owner of the hotel. I want my refund!!

Place was completely dirty and really not safe .. we booked a room for two and got a space & equipments for only one person. Mold was everywhere in the bathroom. The outside was noisy ALL night long. NEVER EVER GOING BACK THERE.

Overall our stay was good, the room is large and comfortable, good breakfast included and the area is walkable. The downside is the lack of maintenance of the property and it is really outdated (curtains -BTW it think they never washed them), wallpapers peeling off. Just with a little TLC would be a great place to stay.

Staff is very helpful, location is great, family friendly i got the big room with 4 beds.

Terrace is in pretty bad conditions they can do better use of it. I spent 4 nights breakfast was the same everyday ( a toaster is needed)
Access arriving/leaving to airport might be an issue if working days / time.

Will stay again? Unlikely

The hotel is very small. You feel you are in a house not in a hotel! The streets leading to the hotel are very narrow and bumpy and the taxi refused to reach the hotel so we had to walk with our suitcases in the bumpy streets for 5 minutes (very inconvenient). The family room is big and clean but extremely noisy as it is a commercial area and there isn't any noise isolation in the room.
The breakfast isn't tasty and my daughter found mold in her cheese, when I showed the staff they just picked it up from the plate and left us the rest to eat!! They were like so what!

One of the cleaners was mopping the floor and serving food at the same time!

The only advantage is that it is 5 minutes walk from he grand bazaar but you see much better hotels around.

I usually don't write reviews but this time I felt I would warn the tourists not to be fooled like us.

Avoid by all means.

The hotel is close to the Grand Bazaar (5 minutes, which does include a small hill to walk up-though given Istanbul's hills, it's not a bad one!). Breakfast was fine; it catered to all types of travelers, and as Americans who don't eat \"sweets\" for breakfast, we had no trouble getting enough. There were 3 of us, and our room was 601, on the top floor. Saying it was cramped is minimizing the situation, but I'm sure the room would be better if there weren't 3 twin beds in it. We did have a few issues with taxi drivers not being able to find it (and wouldn't ask for directions) but given the streets there, if you can get to the Grand Bazaar, you can walk to it. There are plenty of restaurants around so finding a place for lunch or dinner wasn't an issue. Large rooftop terrace, which was nice. It was easily within walking distance to major sites..

We really enjoyed our stay at The hotel. There was 2 members of staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. They offered us a cup of English tea whenever we came back after a long day sightseeing or shopping so we felt right at home! Would definitely stay at Grand bazar hotel again. It was extremely close to the grand bazaar and was easy to get to so we travelled around by foot or took the metro. The breakfast was lovely was lovely every morning and there was a good variety of choices.

This hotel is located in the local's area very close the Grand Bazaar & tram stop plus all the local shops & bakeries. The hotel staff are very very nice & will go the extra mile to help you.
Breakfast was basic but enough to fill your stomach for your day ahead. The rooms are small but very clean. We had no problems with the shower, air conditioning etc.
would definitely stay here again

Grand bazaar hotel was amazing!!

Got to the hotel at around 7am Istanbul time but check in wasnt til 2pm. However the staff members were absolutely lovely and allowed us to eat the breakfast for that day even though it was not included in our package they also got the room ready for us by 12noon rather than the usual time of 2pm.. Staff were very kind and they saw to our every demand with respect and kindness. The room was amazingly clean and we would get fresh linen every day. Overall i would definately recommend this hotel to everyone who decides to stay in Istanbul. Everything was in walking distance which was a bonus. Absolutely loved my stay.

The hotel was comfortable n really nice. Receptionist excellent n breakfast service tops. Attention must be given to the cleaning staff who don't clean your room properly. Sheets not changed, towels not given n room not swept daily. Was amazed that the owner himself works so hard at the hotel evening cleaning the wash rooms whilst his cleaning staff let him down. Will most definitely stay at this hotel again. Central. Easy access to all the touring sites n very well set out. Must jack up cleaning staff.

My only downfall with any hotel is the checking time if you arrive in the early hours as I did the waiting around isn't the best especially when you haven't had any sleep during the flight and arriving way ahead of checking in time. This hotel was good enough to provide one of the rooms earlier than expected with a bit of persuading

The hotel is located within a few minutes walking distance from Grand Bazaar & tram station. Very easy access to Blue Mosque, AyaSophia & .... very friendly staff at all times. Clean rooms & comfortable beds. Good selection of breakfast hot & cold provided. Overall a very good value for the money. I would happily stay in the hotel again.

Lovely hotel

The hotel location is fantastic. It is only 5 mins walk to a famous square called Capariz where there are a lot of nice restaurants and entertainment. Also 5 mins to Byzet tram station which takes you everywhere you want to go. 10 mins walk to the famous touristic places like Topkapi, Aya Sofia, and Blue Mosque. The breakfast has every food you can think of. The rooms are quiet and the terrace overlooking the Bosphorus is delightful to sit and look at the sea. The receptionists are very helpful and polite especially Caugan and Ramadan. I would definitely love to come back again and I will recommend it to my friends.

Hotel is hard to get to.....

The hotel was clean, comfortable and well positioned. The only problem is that the roads surrounding the hotel are closed between 10:00am-6:00pm with no access possible except on foot. The taxi circled the hotel area and finally we stopped nearby and walked there which isn't much fun with lots of luggage and kids.
The hotel is well located close to the Grand Bazaar and other historic sites, its new, clean and comfortable.

Upon arrival was offered refreshments and given a choice of rooms as we arrived early.Room was fine and beds were comfortable, air con was good.Reception staff were very helpful.Hotel has a lift and 24 hour refreshments in the lobby.Breakfast was ok, but could do with a bit more variety especially when hotel is fully booked as some dishes ran out.Would recommend the hotel and will be going again.

Good value for money

Good value for money in a convenient location within walking distance of many attractions and also 5mins walk from the metro system. Straightforward to get to from airport by metro although might have to use map reading skills to find the hotel amongst the winding street. Great breakfast. We had the double twin room which was small but good enough for an overnight stay and clean.

What a delight to find the hotel was right in the center of the Sultanahmet.
Literally a few step and we were at the Grand Bazaar and close to all sites.
The staff were so helpful.
The best thing about the hotel is the location although you may find it challenging going up the slope to the Grand Bazaar, etc and walking downhill to the Fish Restaurant is easier although on narrow side walks.
You can easily get from the main airport to this hotel in 20 minute. This hotel are located near the Blue Mosque (5-10 minutes walking distance), and many other interesting places.

If you're going to stay in Istanbul i highly recommend you to stay in Grand Bazaar Hotel.

Wanted to stay near the Bazaar. Well it is only about a 3oom walk. Check in time is 14oo hours. I arrived at 8.3oam. Just to leave my bags. Service started on arrival! Reception helped with my luggage out of the cab. They were happy to look after my belongings. Next I was offered coffee then breakfast on the Hotel. Once I checked in at the afternoon the room wel small but well designed. Provided all necessary comfort including: safe, refrigerator, a/c, tv with satellite channels over 2ooo. Breakfast was plentifull and enjoyable. Staff was very helpfull and pleasant right thru my stay! Definetly a place I would stay at on my next visit, recommended to all travellers!!

Pas de place de parking disponible(j'ai payé 40€ en plus de ma poche pour faire garder ma voiture, pas de place dispo au alentour), propre au 1ere regarde mais beaucoup de poussière sur l'armoire et sous le lit.

L'hôtel est très bien situé, proche des sites touristiques comme la Mosquée Bleu, Aya Sofia, le palais Topkapi (10-15 mins à pied) et encore plus proche du Grand Bazar (5mins). Le tram est également tout près (5mins). Le personnel de l'hôtel est à l'écoute, arrangeant et de bons conseils. Tout est facilité tests PCR, transfert... La chambre est un peu petite mais le ménage est fait tous les jours. Cela suffit largement, nous passons la majeur partie de notre temps en extérieur. C'était la deuxième fois qu'on venait et si on revient on prendra le même hôtel. Merci à l'équipe ;)

Très decue hôtel de recup :

-chambres sale , rideaux sale ainsi que la literie et serviette déchiré.
-moisissure au niveau de la cabine de douche.

On se fait littéralement agresser par la femmes de chambre , hotel tres mal entretenu le seul point positif est la proximités du grand bazaar.
Le menage est pratiquement pas fait surtout en cette période de covid sans compter le bruit qui ne cessent de jours comme de nuit .

Vi vælger altid denne hotel, den er tæt på alle seværdigheder, og kun 3 min gang fra deres tog.
Det eneste ulempe er at hotellet ligger ned af en lille bakke, så den egner sig ikke til dårlige gående

Es ist ein schönes und feines Hotel. Mein Mann und ich haben uns dazu entschieden, im Sommer erneut dieses Hotel für unseren Aufenthalt in Istanbul zu buchen.
Es liegt sehr zentral. Die Metro-Station ist 5 min vom Hotel entfernt. Man hat viele Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe und unendlich viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.
Nur ich würde als allein reisende Frau nicht in der Dunkelheit in den engen und dunklen Straßen um das Hotel herum unterwegs sein. Es sind in der Dunkelheit nur Männer unterwegs, und man sieht kaum Frauen auf den Straßen. Ich habe mich etwas unwohl gefühlt, obwohl ich nichts negatives erlebt habe. Man sollte auch bedenken, dass in den Straßen um das Hotel herum viele Werkstätte untergebracht sind, in denen wahrscheinlich nur Männer tätig sind.
Wir haben aber unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel sehr genossen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und das Personal auch sehr freundlich bzw. hilfsbereit.

Vatten och te och kaffe ingår dygnet runt man tar själv. Plus frukosten. Nära till resturang tåg station i bayazit butiker allt nära hotellet.
Internet eller Wi-Fi var dålig anslutning.
