Good location; close to grand bazaar and tram stop. Rooms could have been a little more spacious and cleaner. Staff helpful and friendly but had to use Google translate with some. Buffet breakfast was ok but could have had more variety of foods. We cut our stay short here to find something more spacious.

My mom and brother stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. Their room was always very clean and comfortable, and the housekeeping team took great care of them throughout their stay. The transfer service was reliable and punctual, which made their stay much easier.
A very special thank you to Gamze, who prepared breakfast with such kindness and attention. Her warm attitude and excellent service made their mornings truly enjoyable.
We also appreciate the front desk team for being helpful and welcoming throughout their stay.

Very well located a few minutes walk from Beyazit tram station, allowing easy access to main sights of Istanbul. Very reasonable and had a family room. Daily room service and towels though the attention to detail on cleaning was obvious and by the end of the trip, cleaning was minimal and only towels replaced. Rooms also smelt of cigarette smoke. Air conditioning worked well. Safe box in room but electronic mechanism did not work so had to use master key. Breakfast available and free of charge but very simple, and the eggs were soggy and bland. The rest of the breakfast was lacking in taste and variety. Staff members very friendly and made lots of effort. No lift so had to lug heavy luggage up three floors with tight stairs. The staff did offer to help but it is not ideal. Bizarrely, every night dozens of deliveries of clothing would be sent in boxes to the hotel and sit in the lobby then be emptied out overnight. Not really sure what was going on. However at this price point, if you are on a tight budget and need a place to stay for a few days, this is doable but you may find it better to spend £20 a night extra to stay somewhere a bit more upscale.

The breakfast had fresh options and healthy ones too. They provided drinks and snacks to us. We received an upgrade to quite a big room. We found shops in the area. The room was clean. The staff were all fantastic! The only concern we had was the ‘Istanbul night music’, which might affect your ability to sleep, horns, people talking loudly, carts etc.

Reception and check in was great. The room was horrible. Very dirty, shower leaked all over the floor, TV falling off the wall, bed was literally flat. Reception area dirty and filled with packages. We had to check out after the first night. The area of the hotel was in the heart of the bizarre area and attractions. Working on my refund now but reception was understanding and did not dispute us having to leave

Staff was very kind. Hotel room was tiny with no place to hang up or put away clothes. Shower had black mold. Breakfast was fine. I did not get one night of decent sleepsince the other guests were so loud. I also suspect that guests were smoking in their rooms, as I could smell smoke in my room at night.

When I get the reservation, I was looking and trusting the pictures but those are not in real time. Pictures were taken in ages ago and the rooms are not maintained. The frames of the door are loose, the shower door missing the knots, the clogged drain. I stayed for 10 days, bed sheet were not changed even once. I have to ask for the chambermaid to do the bed and we’re not do it just take the bedspread and put it over. Really the hotel was in bad shape.
In the morning, at 8:30 am, dining room was full of dirty dishes on all the tables. You have to move by yourself to get a table. They just take when breakfast was over at 10 am.
The staff was generally gentle, even if they didn’t speak English, the take Google translate and they get the message.

Le personnel de l’accueil est vraiment très aimable et serviable, et nous avons même eu droit à un petit gâteau de bienvenue, ce qui nous a fait très plaisir. Merci beaucoup pour cette délicate attention.

Cependant, voici les points que nous avons moins appréciés :

1. Les chambres ne sont pas bien isolées sur le plan acoustique. On entend beaucoup le bruit de la circulation et des conversations à l’extérieur, aussi bien le matin que le soir, ce qui rend le sommeil difficile.

2. L’entretien de la chambre laisse à désirer. En dehors du lit (qui n’était pas parfaitement fait) et du changement des serviettes, le ménage semblait incomplet. Même nos verres à café n’ont pas été remplacés ni lavés.

3. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner n’était pas très satisfaisant. Le pain était de qualité moyenne, il n’y avait pas de vrai café (seulement du café instantané à diluer dans de l’eau chaude), et le service manquait d’efficacité. À plusieurs reprises, il n’y avait plus de couverts, plus de pain, et les tables n’étaient pas débarrassées. Le personnel, malgré les caméras installées, ne venait pas spontanément, il fallait les appeler à chaque fois.

The hotel is very nice, the staff was very helpful all the time, breakfast was very good!
Ergün was great with hospitality, everyday we came back from touring Istanbul, he was always there waiting with a big smile, he always recommended places to go eat, also we made us Turkish coffee every time, my only negative with the hotel was that there’s no elevator, even though the front desk staff was very helpful and took our suitcases up to our room, and they also brought them down.

This is a very cute hotel off the main road so you are not bothered by the hassle and bustle of the city, but you are still close to all the action. O Elyka hotel está muito bem localizado em Istambul próximo a diversos pontos de interesse (Grand Bazar, Mesquita Azul, Hagia Sophia, Palácio Topkapi, etc). Contudo, existem pontos positivos e outros negativos que merecem ser destacados.

Pontos positivos: A localização é muito boa e acessível a pé para quem chega no aeroporto Internacional de Istambul. O metrô sai de dentro do aeroporto e deixa a cerca de 10 minutos (Estacão M2 Vezneciler) caminhando do hotel (caminhada tranquila e segura). A cama e o chuveiro são muito bons, proporcionam excelente descanso). O café da manhã é MUITO BOM! Tem tudo que você precisa para um belo dia de turismo e caminhada. Adoramos o café!

Pontos negativos: O quarto (pelo menos o nosso) tem carpete no chão. Quem em pleno ano de 2024 mantém carpete no chão? Além de um leve cheiro de “sujeira”, claramente acumula muito pó. Outro ponto negativo é a falta de comunicação fluente da equipe em inglês. Apesar de ser algo comum na turquia (os turcos falam muito mal a língua inglesa), me parece falta de dedicação você não saber o básico para se comunicar com seus clientes (certamente a maioria é estrangeiro).

Fora isso, recomendo sim o Elyka Hotel pois trata-se de excelente custo-benefício.

The room was rather small and a bit run down. I had to fix the shower head. The curtains were ill-fitting and needing repair. The finish carpentry in places looked like it was done with a hatchet. The good part was the staff was friendly. The gal attending the breakfast servive was proud and aimed to please. The location was OK. I think your could do better for the money. There are thousands of hotels in this area.

The hotel was terrible. It was dirty and smelly. Smelled of damp and cigarettes. The house keeping was poor they didn’t change bed sheets properly did not clean the bathroom. There was rubbish right outside the hotel. The hotel was really noise they allowed smoking inside the hotel which came in through the air con. This was not a child friendly hotel. The breakfast was limited and poor. Old milk put out gave my child a bad stomach. Would not recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff at the hotel were very friendly and willing to help. Even though not everyone speaks English but that was not an issue as they are quick to use a translation app to communicate when necessary. The breakfast was very good and even though unattended, they were very quick to replenish when requested. We had an early flight so they willingly started the breakfast service early to accommodate us which was very much appreciated. The property is a bit dated and some areas need uplifting but that did not impact our stay and we will happily go back. Highly recommended and thank you to everyone at the hotel to make our stay a very comfortable one.

A great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very small but was mostly functional. Living out of bags as the wardrobe was full of the secure safe and non-funtioning fridge. Bathroom again functional with the shower hanging from the tube as the wall bracket was broken. Lean and plenty of towels when asked for. Do not book the airport pickup as they charge €60 with the actual fare being half that. Hope you like stairs, and the breakfast is very nice and plentiful.

This place is clean, place is right behind Grand Bazaar, and also close to the tram station, which gives you access to every famous site to visit in Istanbul! Hotel staff are kind and help you, and you can communicate with them in English (you will be surprised that in Turkey, most do not speak English at all)

The hosts were really nice, kind and helpful. The breakfast was a decent spread. The property is central and close to Grand bazaar, blue mosque and hagia Sophia.
Tram station is a 6 minute walk.

The only downside is absence of lift but hosts are very helpful with moving the luggage.

This hotel is at a good location and you can walk to different places. The staff is very nice and friendly and always willing to help. This hotel does not have elevator, so be very mindful when you bring your luggage. I had to carry 8 suitcases to 3rd floor. There was a lot of outside noise because there are shops and workshops around. The room and bathrooms need some upgrades. You cannot compare this hotel with other hotels in Europe or USA but this is a good option if you have a low budget. My recommendation to management is that do some upgrades. I highly appreciate the staff.

Staff was excellent and the location is a very central part of the old city. Getting to the property and getting out of the property location is recommended to be done by taxi given how tight and busy the streets are around it. The property was very good about getting the taxi service for us on arrival and departure and we didn’t have to walk any distance with our bags. If you are looking for a luxury resort, you’re on the wrong side of the Bosphorus, but if you want an authentic and central location that is safe and clean and allows for you to walk to all prime locations, this is an excellent choice.

Breakfast was extremely good with breads; COOKIES; cereal; large delicious selection of cheeses; hard boiled and scrambled eggs; always 2 types of protein like sausages; etc plus coffee, teas and juice

Room was serviceable but very small as it had a full sized bed in a room that should have a single bed. In order to open the closet, my carry on bag had to be moved then I couldn't leave the room without moving the bag back to in front of the closet and so forth. Good thing I did not have a larger bag!

The sink was wedged in between the shower and the wall that required one foot in the shower to be in front of the sink!

Good toiletries.

The small table and chair was appreciated and particularly appreciated having an in room safe.

No elevator which wasn't a problem for me but may be for others. Definitely not an accessible hotel as there are around 10 stair steps getting the street to enter the hotel besides not having an elevator.

It was a good value and extremely well located, 15 minute walk to the Blue Mosque and Sofia mosque.

I would stay there again.

The tiniest room i have ever stayed, it didn't have space for my carry-on luggage. To go to the washroom i had get hit by the TV every time because no space. In the picture room looked big but i got deceived. To go to the hotel you have to walk quite a bit downhill and to exit climb uphill, no way to take your luggage on the rugged road. I had to store my large luggage at my previous hotel. Good breakfast, very friendly reception worker.

The staff we met upon arrival was helpful and friendly. He was kind enough to give us a bigger room. The evening staff was also very friendly. Housekeeping made sure the room was in good shape. Great communication prior to arrival. My only complaint was the airport transfer. We had a very early flight out so we took advantage of the fact the hotel could book us a transfer rather than grab a taxi or Uber. We even asked for the pick up time to be earlier than what we needed. That said, the transfer was still was 15 minutes late. I cannot be mad at hotel for the transfer problem. I think it was a great location as well.

I absolutely loved my stay at Elyka Hotel in Turkey! I frequent Turkey, and among all the hotels I've visited, this has been the most delightful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay. They even treated me to Turkish sweets called Lokum. During my first reservation, I enjoyed a spacious room, while the second one, though only for a day, was a bit tight on space. Nonetheless, the overall experience exceeded my expectations, and I felt I got more than what I paid for. Special kudos for the diverse and delicious breakfast spread. Well done to everyone at Elyka Hotel!

This simple hotel was perfect for my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and my bed was comfortable. It was a short walk to the tram T1 and the Grand Bazaar.

Great location

Great location for walking to sites (esp Grand Bazaar) or taking the train. Very nice reception staff who were eager to help. Good WiFi. The family room was more like a small apartment and plenty of room for our family. Recommend you take taxi to hotel as no onsite public parking (was about 5-10 min walk up hill.). Recommend you do not drive in Istanbul unless you are a native and used to very aggressive driving. It was crazy, but great hotel.

Close to historic district

Really good value. Nice, clean room, real bed and breakfast feel. Excellent location: 5 min walk to Grand Bazaar and the tram, 15-20 min walk to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. For sightseeing it was perfect. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast is a great spread.

Lack of good Sleep.

The Staff at the hotel were amazing but what let them down was the cleanliness. The wasn't rubbish on the floor, it was the fact that the carpets hadn't had a good wash in a very long and my baby playing in the floor meant she ended up having dirty hands and feet. The second thing that let the hotel down was the walls, floor, ceiling and windows are very thin and you can hear everything in other rooms so we didn't sleep well. Finally the last thing which wasn't the hotels fault were the Eastern Europeans staying in the hotel slamming doors at all hours of the night which woke up my baby, shouting when they were talking until 12/1am in the morning.

Outstanding Staff and Service

First off, the service was outstanding! They go above and beyond for you. From the cleaning staff, to reception, it was consistent attention and care. That alone makes your stay splendid.

The location is great for tourists. It is a very short walk to the Grand Bazaar, and walkable distance to other major touristy spots. There is a tram 2 blocks up to the main street that will take you to other major touristy spots. And it is cheap. For a more seasoned tourist, it may not be the best as you will be in a commercial area ful of life.

The room itself was spacious and clean. As well as comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom has a faint smell but I think it's a plumbing issue. Nothing that a little oil scent couldn't fix.

The breakfast buffet is amazing and it has quite tasty food that will get you going for the day.
