Hotel with good location

When i got to the hotel i was given rooms different from what i had booked. However after speaking to the staff and manager they changed my room to the correct room. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast could be better i feel because they charge for omlettes which i found weird. Ali,Sevcan,Burak at reception were helpful and went out of their way to ensure i was happy. Love the location. The newer rooms are very nice and comfy and up to standard with 4 star hotels.

Great location, so-so hotel

This is not a 4-star hotel and should not be rated as such on Hotels.com. My room looked nothing like the photos the hotel advertises on websites. I was relegated to the back end of the hotel. While the room was clean and had a very comfortable bed, the bathroom reeked of sewage and mould. The walls are also paper thin, so you hear everything going on in the rooms around you. The staff is mediocre in terms of help and friendliness, probably because they appear to be short staffed at the check-in counter. That being said, the hotel sits in an excellent location - an easy walk to Sultanahmet Square and the Grand Bazaar.

Great Hotel and great location

We stayed 2 nights at the Antik after our cruise. The staff were friendly and helpful and the upstairs restaurant was amazing and very romantic. Although the rooms are small having been on a ship for 4 weeks they were fine. Having a bathtub as well as a shower was a bonus. This hotel is within walking distance (5 minutes) of the Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque. The power cards are sometimes temperamental but the staff are more than willing to replace the cards or fix the outlet. The only problem we had was with a recommended tour. It was horrible. It was a half day tour that was supposed to take us into the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and then the Grand Bazaar. We spent most of the time on the bus getting to the embarkation and disembarkation point. We did not get into the Blue Mosque as our guide said it would take too long. If he had been on time there would not have been a problem . We were then dumped at the main gate of the grand bazaar and told to find our own way back. The hotel said they would deal with them however and we trust that they will do so to ensure that no other client is stuck with this same tour. All and all we would definitely book into the Antik again on our return to Istanbul.

Good location and value

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The location is very near the Grand Bazaar. They made the arrangements for a tour. The tour company did not come to pick me up, but the hotel staff made contacts that got to the meeting place in time. The roof top restaurant was nice for meals (nicely prepared and presented) as well as for the included breakfast. The view of the Bosporus was good if you could ignore the industrial areas also in the view. The air conditioning was problematic and kept shutting off. I opened the window and that worked fine. I did not call and complain so they may have been able to adjust it properly. If you take a taxi back to the airport, be sure that the hotel knows you want a metered taxi, not their personalized service. It should cost about 40TL plus tip.

Hotel's location is good but rooms are small with very basic facility. No wardrobe and no tea/coffee facility in the room. Looking at the rooms' pictures on-line, we thought the views would be nice but we were allocated a room in the side extension which is connected to the main building through a corridor in the basement so if you want to go from 4th floor to the restaurant (5th Floor) in the main building, you need to take the lift to basement (floor -1), walk the corridor, take another lift to 5th floor!!!!

A Good Position - Helpful staff

Although the hotel is undergoing repairs on some floors - my request for a quiet room meant I was not disturbed. So if you think you will sleep beyond about 9.30am (when the work starts) ask the helpful staff for a quiet room in advance, and they will ensure you get one.

The breakfast was good.

Centrally located hotel in Istanbul

Antik hotel was a very pleasant base for a 4 day break in this bustling city. The new tram system is a great way to access the main sights of Istanbul and it is just minutes from the hotel, though both the 'Blue Mosque' and the Grand Bazaar are within easy walking distance. Staff in the hotel were unfailingly friendly and helpful, the rooms are spacious, modern and spotless. The roof-top restaurant, with views over the Bosphorus, was a wonderful place to watch the October sun rise, whilst having breakfast. Istanbul is an incredible, vibrant, welcoming city, we were on the go from dawn to dusk and only scratched the surface in 4 days. The Antik hotel provided a welcome haven in the evening, offering all we expect in a keenly priced hotel. Perhaps the only drawback is the initial appearance of the end of the street which has a large boarded up building, clearly outwith the control of the hotel itself.

The hotel was very clean. It was missing air conditioning and was very hot in the room (visited 24th Oct.Staff hardly speak english and nor informed about happennings in istambul for tourists. It was missing coffee maker and a kettle. The bed was hard to sleep.Break fast was good. I requested for hot water and they wanted money for it!!

Great location -

A well presented establishment within walking distance to most of the major tourist features of istanbul. Staff friendly and accommodating, rooms comfortable not over big but suit the purpose. Tram station 2minute walk. WiFi free but a little slow.
Overall you could do a lot worse - good value.

Overall I found the service quite good. Staff by the name of Ceyhun was very helpful - thank you Ceyhun!!

Hotel and rooms were clean, however there were times when an unpleasant odour was present in the bathroom - mould perhaps?!

Overall stay was nice and some staff were as helpful as they were able.

A 10 minute stroll to Sultanahmet - nice sourroundings and walk to restaurants etc.

Great location for shopping

I really enjoyed my stay here the price was a little pricey but it at.east included breakfast and wifi which was a fairly good speed in the room. The breakfast was not bad the only thing was that the drinks tasted fake and the fresh orange juice costed more that regular price else where I thought it should have been included. The other thing that I didn't like at all was the service not one person is friendly who works at the desk even when they see you they ignore you I have never heard them say \"hello\" or \" have a great day\" other wise I had a good time because I wasn't at the hotel all day and yes there is a little odour that comes from the bathroom I think it's the sewage.

I love this hotel. The staff was friendly. The beds were so comfortable I wanted to buy the bedding. The breakfast buffet was very nice as well. The location was w/i walking distance of all the main attractions/shopping.

Average hotel with too high of a price

Most of the pictures posted did not look anything like the hotel we stayed at. The cistern (one of the 2 restaurants and bars) in the basement was closed during our stay, which was a big let-down. The breakfast buffet was not very good at all with little selection and a choice between undercooked hard-boiled egga and watery powdered eggs. Our oom was much smaller than we anticipated with walls so thin that the hotel felt the need to rig the t.v.'s so that the volume only goes up to a level that is barely audible. On the plus side, the hotel is located right across the street from the Grand Bazaar and is only a 10 minute walk from the Hagia Sofia and Bllue Mosque. The staff were all very attentive and welcoming as well.

unbeatable location for the price

The head desk clerk (male) was extremely helpful & pleasant, as was another man who took his place over the holiday week. One desk clerk, a young woman with long light-colored hair,was not at all helpful, at any time! My room key (electronic card) had to be changed 5 days out of 13 because it didn't work, and the bed was so hard I had to fold the extra bedding & sleep on it. Otherwise, everything FINE.

I had chosen Antik hotel, because I saw a restaurant with an awesome sea view at the upper floor. But it wasn't as good at fact - sea view was good, but service was awful. And there are a lot of restaurants with beautiful view in the city.
So we were in hotel restaurant just once.

Perfect location in old Istanbul

Was a wonderful hotel within one block from the metro line. Only about 4 blocks from the Grand Bazaar. A few nice eating places nearby, but easy to hop on Metro and go anywhere to eat that you wanted. The hotel was so clean, the wonderful basement cistern was fantastic, the staff was marvelous, and the breakfast had a view and food to die for. A great value. Would stay there again.

清潔でありフロントマンの対応もよく、朝食品目が充実している。

今回で同ホテル滞在が４回目であり、定宿とも言うべきホテルとして利用している。
ベヤジット大通りの直ぐ裏手にあり、何処へ行くにも便利で立地条件は申し分なし。
但し、４年前には設置してあった小物類（固形石鹸、歯ブラシ、ハンドタオル、ポット等）が年々置いてなくなっており、サービスの低下を感じている。
ひところはドイツ人のツアー客が多くみられたが、最近はアラブ系はじめラテン系のツアー客が多く見られる。
総じて、フロント始め接客対応は良い。

Das einzig gute bei diesem Hotel ist, dass es im Stadtzentrum liegt. Man ist schnell im Grand Pazaar, Sultan Ahmed Moschee und die U-Bahn sowie die Tram Haltestelle liegt gleich neben an.

Sehr gute Lage, 5 min bis zum großen Bazar, 15 min bis zur blauen Moschee.
Das Frühstücksbüffet fand ich nicht so gut, es gab wenig Auswahl.

Hotel lage ist top. Man kann per bahn zu den beliebten Sehenswürdigkeiten in max 10 min gelangen. Der grosse beruhmte bazzar liegt lauf der anderen strassen seite. Hotel liegt an einer querstrasse so das man tagsuber und nachts sich sehr gut erhollen kann. Fur die jenigen die sicherheit suchen ist definitiv sicher. Mitarbeiter und sauerkeit TOP. Bettwäsche wc dusche zimmer sind sehr sauber. Wird jedesmal gereinigt. Fruhstuck ist super. Man hat auch einen schonen blick aufs mehr.

Kurzurlaub mit einer Freundin

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen, nicht sehr weit vom Flughafen entfernt und die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen in unmittelbare Nähe. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Barkeeper Süleyman und der Menager Tamer Cebeci sind uns besonderes aufgefallen durch grosse Aufmerksamkeit.

Gutes Hotel in der Nähe vom Grand Basar

Ich war zum wiederholten Mal mit einer Freundin im Antik Hotel. Preis-Leistungsverhätnis ist gut. Freundliches Personal, saubere Zimmer und gutes Frühstück. Gute Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel, vom Flughafen Atatürk mit Metro und Tram gut zu erreichen. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Zimmer hellhörig, aber das nehmen wir für die gute Lage in Kauf. Und man ist ja eh in Istanbul den ganzen Tag unterwegs.

Sauberes und schönes Hotel, aber viel zu laut.

Das Hotel war in Ordnung alles sauber und gepflegt. Schönes Frühstücksbüffe mit Terasse und gutem Ausblick. Wlan war überall verfügbar.
Das schlechte war der Lärm, man hörte alles durch die Wände und die Türen haben absolut nichts gebracht gegen geräusche im Flur.

Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß zu erreichen, aber sehr kleines Zimmer und sehr sehr kleines Bad mit einigen Mängel. Da Zimmer unter der Dach-terrasse lag, war es nachts sehr laut. Auch alle Geräusche vom Flur konnte man durch die Tür höhren. Beschreibung
bzw. Infos in Deutsch gab
es nicht. Sehr schwierige

Verdient keine 4 Sterne

hatten 2 Tage lang eine Baustelle über uns
fast nur Araber, die keine Manieren haben und sehr laut sind.
Mit dem Frühstück nicht zufrieden, war bei anderen Bewertungen als abwechslungsreich und gut beschrieben, wir fanden das überhaupt nicht so. Die Terrasse ist auch nicht besonders und nicht gepflegt!
Die Zimmer sind recht klein, kaum Platz für die eigenen Sachen und gepflegt war es auch nicht. Hinter den Gardinen war alles verstaubt.

We had a wonderful stay .
Hotel has a great location .
Staff is the best , sedef has helped us a lot and has been wonderful.

Gute Lage in Istanbul

Leider ist der Transfer vom Flughafen zum Hotel ( Metro und T1 Linie) nicht gut beschrieben! Man müsste wissen, wo man umsteigt und letztlich aussteigt. Ein Hinweis auf die Ekonomiecard wäre so hilfreich.
WLAN im Hotel eignet sich nicht zum Arbeit. Immer wird man aus dem Netz geworfen und muss sich neu einwählen. Sehr langsam.
Personal ist leider nicht sehr freundlich und ziemlich wortkarg, auch beim Frühstück ist man eher genervt und abweisend.
Hotel ist sauber und hat eine schöne Atmosphäre, leider Bauarbeiten und das am Wochenende.
Dachterrasse mit Frühstück ist der Knüller. Frühstücksbuffet eher durchschnittlich. Zimmer sehr klein und eng, aber sauber.

しっかりした安全な良いホテル。

とても良かった。レストランも美味しくて良かった。場所も良かった。部屋も良かった。たぶん、日本のツアーにも使用されているみたいです。出発前にエアポートシャトル(有料)予約のメールを送ったら、すぐ返事くれました。また、天候が悪く飛行機が飛ばず、翌日のフライトになったため、ホテルに戻る際、空港から電話をしたら、すぐに迎えに来てくれました(もちろん有料ですが)。スタッフの皆さん、とても親切です。

drittes mal im antik hotel

war zum dritten mal in diesem hotel war bist jetzt super, jedoch dieses mal sehr mangelnder service - personal war nicht freundliche - mangelnde hygiene und ausstattung im zimmer. obwohl mehr versprochen wurde.

verlängertes Wochenende

wir waren zu viert und blieben und blieben 3 Nächte. Das Hotel ist an einer guten Lage(200m) von der Tramstation Bayazit und dort ist auch der große Bazar. alle andere Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Blaue Moschee, Aya Sophie usw sind nur 2 Tramstationen entfernt und sonst auch gut zu Fuß erreichbar.

Zentrales Hotel

Wir waren für 5 Tage in Istanbul und haben uns im Antik Hotel wohlgefühlt. Erfreulicherweise konnten wir einige Stunden früher einchecken und so nach dem Nachtflug schlafen.
Das Personal war stets freundlich, das Essen gut und die Lage ist topp.

Godt hotel til prisen

Fint hotel beliggende i gåafstand til den store bazar, den blå moske og Hagia Sophia. Vi boede på 4. Sal og der var meget lydt/støj fra gangen, særligt under morgenmadsbuffetten. Morgenmaden var okay, ikke noget særligt.. Personalet var meget søde og hjælpsomme.

トラムが走る大通りから一本入ったところにある。
駅から近くて便利。

Gutes Hotel nahe Grand Basar

Ich war bereits das fünfte Mal im Antik Hotel und werde es auch bei meinen nächsten Aufenthalten in Istanbul wieder buchen. Es ist sauber, in der Nähe der Sehenswürdigkeiten und das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis ist gut und die Zimmer sauber.

Hotel in Zentraler Lage

3 Tage Aufenthalt in Istanbul.
Gute Lage zum stöbern und einkaufen.
Zimmer im 2.Stock gehabt. Sehr hellhörig. Man konnte alle Gespräche von Zimmer nebenan hören.
Badezimmer sehr klein.
Sauberkeit inordung.
Personal an der Rezeption hat gute Auskunft gegeben, war aber sehr unfreundlich.
Das Frühstücksbuffet hatte eine Große Auswahl an Speisen, Säften und Kaffespezialitäten.
Service Personal war sehr nett.

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

Ottimo hotel dotato di camera spaziosa e pulita, bagno grande, molto bello nel complesso. Posto a due passi dal gran bazaar e non molto lontano dalle attrattive principali della città. Collegato attraverso la linea tramviaria T1 ale zone di interesse turistico e all'aeroporto (con cambio su M1 in direzione aeroporto). Dotato di una terrazza panoramica affacciata sul Mar di Marmara dove viene offerta colazione continentale abbondante.
Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
Qualche problema organizzativo e troppa attesa nella hall.

三泊しました。海の見えるレストランの朝食付きで安価。
味はまあまあですが、座って食べるとお金のかかる街だけに助かります。観光に便利。
スタッフは個人差あるものの、素晴らしい人います。

Hotel tres bien situé pour une visite à pieds

Un personnel agréable, petit dejeuner satisfaisant et copieux, seule critique au niveau de l'hotel, un cabinet de toilettes manquant d'entretien (petit bricolage au niveau des joints de la douche, un distributeur de savon liquide qui fuit....)
