The room was nice and clean, a little dark and the hallways were on sensor but they seemed a little delayed as it would often be dark all the way to our room. Proximity to different sites/landmarks was perfect to allow a little walking and leisurely window shopping and exploring. Restaurant for breakfast was always clean with amazing selections, worth the 20Eu to start the day. Staff was very hospitable and reactive when there was an issue or request.

Excellent location for exploring the city, plenty within walking distance and very close to the tram to Sultanahmet and the funicular to Istikal. Rooms are small, but a great choice if you plan to be out in the city most of the time.

I booked as I was swayed by the fabulous reviews. Very disappointed on arrival by the “sea view” that I had paid extra for. Nothing like the photo which was taken on level 7. Website photos are definitely misleading. Great big old building obstructing the view. Other comments about this have been buried under all the “10/10” reviews. Room was very average and was clean. Location convenient.

A lovely hotel, wonderful reception staff, everything needed in the room and a really nice breakfast. A lovely chef made the omelettes and I wanted to thank her for her amazing service and smile. The reception team were very helpful and arranged all our trips. Great value.

Expensive wine though. £10 a glass but at least it could be consumed in a lovely bar and restaurant with amazing views.

There are so many options when it comes to Istanbul, but I would choose this one again. It is very convenient to local transportation and the port. The front desk staff went above and beyond during my stay. When I said I preferred two beds they had housekeeping in the room before I even got up there. When I was struggling to get an Uber/taxi the bell hop personally got one for us and struck a deal, so we could get where we needed. They were extremely attentive and responsive. The rooms were awesome and big for a European city. The breakfast was extensive. I also appreciated the elevator had key card security which made me feel much safer. Furthermore, in the bathroom they provided all the basics including a toothbrush and toothpaste kit. would 100% recommend this hotel during a stay in Istanbul.

The hotel located is very good. It's located between old town and new town. Close to all transportations. Breakfast was very delicious. Food is fresh. The only complaint was the hair dryer didn't work properly. If you use it for 1 minute and try to turn it back on, it didn't work. You'll have to wait 5 minutes for it to work again. Contact the receptionist. Wa told to wait till the next morning. The hotel should have a spare hair dryer just in case the wall unit doesn't work instead of having the customer wait till the next morning for the repairs with wet hair.

Don't trust the hotel ratings

I stayed at double tree Hilton hotel in the same trip. With the same price i had a much bigger room on the highest floor and sea view. It had free pool and gym. It was next to the Kadikoy iskele and near the metro station. We had a bath tub in the shower. The wifi in the momento hotel was awful with slow speed. The breakfast was not good and the barista served coffee and milk instead of espresso with milk when you ordered cappuccino. The juices where artificial. And the water bottle was not refilled for the room every day. The staff got a taxi for us and the driver ruined our day with his behavior. I don’t suggest this hotel to anyone else.

Great location for getting anywhere Istanbul has to offer. Helpful staff but the housekeeping is hit and miss. You only get 1 bottle of water per room which is a bit stupid. Still it is a good hotel for the price point. Location is top notch, 1 block from the Galata Bridge and Metro Line 1. Plus 50 feet from the Tunnel tram right up to Taksin. Buy one Metro card, load it with some money and pass it around to your party for Metro travel. No need to buy each one a card.

Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly and genuine. Having a separate living area with a comfortable couch was a nice touch. Both pillows were very hard and inflexible and not very comfortable to sleep on. The shower door would open only half way. Front desk was notified and they alerted their handy man to fix it. We would stay there again.

I like this hotel and will stay there again. Staff, restaurant location are all excellent. The street is a little funky but not bad - just not perfect. But, the location is great - a hub for everything we wanted to do. The staff are really good and helpful. The breakfast is very good and in a view dining room. The view from our upper story room was great. The hotel is on a flat street so you aren’t climbing all the time. A good place for a medium budget

We stayed for a week, this hotel is amazing in every way, it is 3 minutes from transit to both Sultan Ahmet and Istiqlal area.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Don’t forget to eat at the Michelin start restaurant at the roof, it is way better and cheeper than eating at regular restaurants.

Booked online for 3 nights and on check in was told I had to move rooms after the first night. The first night’s room had a better view than the 2nd and 3rd night’s room but I would have preferred not to have had to move at all. The inferior room was nice and would have been fine for 3 nights. Otherwise, the hotel was clean, comfortable, had excellent amenities and restaurant, was well located and had very friendly, professional staff. To be recommended.

Everything you would need for a great stay in Istanbul for a couple. Great service, great food (Tershane is an excellent restaurant with great service and value - avoid Galata bridge fish restaurants!), despite being on a very busy (and entertaining) road, the windows block all the noise out. Nice little seating area and good size, clean rooms.

Just be careful when booking a transfer, quite pricey, think we accidentally got VIP transfer so cost 50 euros! Clarify before booking.

The Hotel is in a wonderful position, but of course very noisy being in the middle of the city. The Staff were very friendly, but we had a big problem with people wanting to help, and saying \"yes\" when it very quickly became obvious they did not understand what we had asked. This went through the hotel from front desk to restaurant. I stress they were wanting to help and polite, just our communication in english was amusing, so be patient and smile. The room we booked looked out onto the sea, and the bed and linen was very comfortable. The room, although non-smoking, stunk of cigarettes so the windows need to stay open. The bathroom was well equipped, and the tv had english channels. Internet was fast. Breakfast was very nice each morning, and held in the restaurant on the top level looking out onto the sea and old city. The tram stop is only 100 metres from the Hotel, as is a Ferry stop. We did not get the room we had booked via Expedia but instead got the correct room type on a lower floor meaning the view out to the bridge was blocked by an old tower blocked across the road. When we asked we need the room we had booked, they said 'hotel fully booked' and no other explanation was given. I had booked this room on the 7th of January and our stay was for 4 nights from 23rd of May 2023!! We feel the hotel gives preference to others and very unfairly treated especially as we had paid the maximum rate as shown on Expedia website. Basically, the photos mis represent what you would get when you get there. Otherwise, the staff are very friendly and courteous. Restaurant on top floor has stunning views looking towards the city and all the mosques but price is a little high for what we ate. This is expected as I assume they charge more as the views out are amazing.

Amazing honeymoon stay!

We had an exceptional experience staying here on our honeymoon! Service was great and they kindly decorated our room with balloons and petals and gave us the best view of the golden horn where you can see the galata bridge, Hagia Sofia, and suleymaniye mosque. Some people complain about the random old building that blocks some of the view but we thought it added character. The rooftop view is even more stunning and the restaurant is excellent (get the lamb kebap with shallots and pomegranate!) Cool bathroom too where you can shower and take in the view! Loved the Juliet balcony. Bed was super comfortable. Serdar and Eren were very kind employees.

Asked for a sea view but it was obstructed by an ugly tall buildings which seemed to be some kind of warehouse. The street itself is pretty poor, but excellent location for links to metro, boat or simply walking. The room itself didn't have a working usb port and the staff made no attempt to fix it. The staff are lovely, breakfast is great and really cheap (relative to the UK), where I paid 190 lira for two people. Great views from the restaurant too. The balcony door didn't close properly so you could hear a lot of traffic. I probably wouldn't stay here again, but that's just because I'm picky when it comes to my accommodation and I think the small things matter.

Good hotel, staff was eager to assist in any way they could. View was fantastic and the best part of staying at this hotel. The room I was in was cramped but I believe other rooms may have been bigger. There was a weird smell in the bathroom but nothing too crazy. Breakfast was sufficient but the view made it phenomenal. Good location, steps to tram to go to Sultanahmet one way or Taksim the other. Traffic noises were somewhat bothersome. Overall I’d say it’s a good hotel if you need to stay for a night or two on a budget but don’t want to sacrifice a nice view (actually I’d call it breathtaking).

Municipal works with extra heavy tools digging up the road right under my room NOISE FROM 11 pm until 4 the next morning . That was a day before my Birthday. This hotel could have at least offered to move us to a different room . They don’t compromise, I know , been to Istanbul about 10 times . Was accused of taking a chocolate from the mini bar , which I have never used in my entire 15 years of traveling. Although the Hotel is situated in a good area, it is to expensive for what you get.

Breakfast area nice with helpful staff.Very nice view from the 8 floor.Food nothing to rave about very basic I’d i compare what we had at the Aston in st Pieterburg that was excellent.

This hotel was amazing. The place is nice and clean. The rooms are spotless and have everything you need for your stay in Istanbul. The top floor where the restaurant is has an amazing view. The breakfast was good and it has an egg station that I found out it was included in the breakfast on my last day haha. Location was perfect. It’s super close to the tram station and it’s walking distance to the galata tower. Next to the galata tower there are a lot of restaurant, bars and coffee shops. The staff of the hotel was the best, everybody was so nice and always willing to help you.

Really nice hotel in a great position between all the attractions and markets on the Golden Horn and nightlife in Galata. We stayed on the 6th floor overlooking the river and the views across to the Golden Horn were amazing.

We were welcomed by a young attendant who was really friendly and helpful and showed us how to work all the amenities like WIFI and the safe in our room. He was also our saviour when we were running late to the airport on our last day by getting us a yellow taxi in double quick time during peak time traffic, which is horrendous in Istanbul. We gave him some well deserved tips. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the concierge, who was really nice and welcoming on arrival but his local restaurant recommendation was a bit “fishy”! There are loads of fish restaurants under the Galata Köprüsü bridge opposite the hotel that friends had recommended going to one. However, the one the concierge recommended and booked for us (the Galata Altin Balik) was both terrible and expensive. I would have rated this hotel 5/5 if it wasn’t for this one-off experience.

The restaurant on the top floor of the hotel however is great with more great views over to the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus river and Asia. Breakfast is also served here every morning, which is nice and simple and healthy but don’t be shy to ask for an omelette or fried eggs if you like.

Waste of space

Book hotel 2 room with 2 adult went Istanbul check in staff said he can’t let me in as we were not married than I told him and he could not let me and my girlfriend stay at same room than I said ok book me and my male friend same room and book ladies same room he refuse that too after 4 hour of argument I show him term of condition as he say that there non but he was lying as I find and show him than he said we have too live so got my money did not let me stay and treat me

Great little hotel in Karakoy

Great boutique hotel in an excellent location. Restaurants, tram, Sultanamet, all so close. Next to Tunel so a quick trip up hill. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, and the shower had great pressure. Very comfy beds and pillows. The staff went above and beyond and very friendly. Get the breakfast buffet, its well worth the extra $.

In convenient area, nicely decorated rooms.

We enjoyed out stay. Still not used to the size of the rooms in hotels in Istanbul. View was beautiful from windows. Rooms well decorated. Staff very good. The hotel did not acknowledge that we were there for our 50th Wedding Anniversary and also both of our 70th Birthdays. We had let them know but they did not do anything nice like other hotels do

Good bad okay

The stay was good overall. However I asked to move to a different room because the one we had was loud close to the road the front desk was mad or raging telling me no. And after trying he said if I pay extra 30 euro a night I can get a nother room.

Right in the heart of transport links, eateries, ferries etc. Hotel was spotlessly clean with friendly staff. The only downside was noise from the traffic, but considering the location, it's to be expected!
