It’s a basic hotel, but it is a COMPLETE hotel less than 5mins walk to the Grand Bazaar, Beyazit area and T1 tram line which connects to alot of attractions. Lotsa of delicious eateries nearby. Ayasofya is just 2 stops away. I was a solo traveler but the hotel is very safe with a night guard and reception always on duty. And the heater keeps you warm on cold nights, the shower is nice and hot. And the breakfast is home-made by a kind lady in the kitchen. And house-keeping always keeps your room clean. My flight departed very late after midnight, but the reception arranged a safe taxi driver to the airport. I will definitely recommend this cosy hotel. Thank you to all the staffs.

Clean, great location. Mediocre breakfast. Impossible to get adequate towels. Floor mat had to double as a hand towel. When I asked for and got extra towels from the front desk, the cleaning people promptly removed them. Basically a good budget hotel if you don't mind something very basic.

5 mins walk to Grand Bazaar and tram stop. Not expensive, everything we needed and friendly reception staff. Breakfast included quite adequate for price. Happily stay again!

This hotel won't see me again.

Less than impressive; in fact a bad experience all round. The cupboard smelled to high heaven and one could therefore not unpack anything. The floor was dirty. The hotel has a laminate wooden table and a couple of plastic white chairs at the entrance. I seem to have lost two strings of pearls during my stay. I spent the 2 days that I visited Istanbul walking around and on the hop-on hop off bus; one could not stay in a room with a dismal view of a building being torn down and in any case, with nowhere but the bed to sit. No taxi driver knew where to find the hotel. The best that can be said about the hotel is that the wifi was mostly in order.

Great Location!

Hotel Inter is close to all main attractions, shopping and restaurants. The staff was very helpful, especially Guru. The bed was very comfortable with clean and crisp sheets. Breakfast was the typical Turkish Breakfast; eggs, olives, cheeses, meats, breads, etc. Hotel is off the main street so you could actually get a good nights sleep in this very busy city. It is a good budget hotel with adequate amenities, Would I stay there again? Definitely.

First time for my wife & I in Istanbul.

Basic hotel, clean & quiet, fitted our needs. The front desk was very helpful & informative . We arrived very early from our cruise. Let us store our luggage. Put our important bags behind the desk. Gave us good directions on how to get to Blue Mosque. Our room was on the second floor at the end of the hall. It faced the street & had big windows. Surprised their was a small fridge, which was nice. It had air conditioning, which we needed. The main bed was only a double, but it was good enough. We had a quiet night. The breakfast had a large selection, some of which we didn't know the names of , but were very good. Taxi was 20 euros to get to airport, but it was a holiday, so traffic was light.

Okay hotel close to Grand Bazaar

The staff were friendly enough without being outgoing. The hotel is clean. I booked and paid in advance for one person for ten days and requested a room not facing a wall and not too noisy. I was given a double room at no extra cost, on the top floor facing the street, so this was good. Rooms are small though and with a small window it still felt claustrophobic. Furnishings are very basic, no carpet. So the room was okay to sleep in but not inviting enough to return to on hot days if you wanted to spend some time back at the hotel between morning and evening city explorations. Also, the area the hotel is located in is surrounded by busy clothing businesses and is very noisy. Not so many tourists around, mainly people who work in the rag trade, a transnational bus driver, etc. No other English-speaking tourists around (which can be good, bad or inconsequential depending on your preferences).

Simple, good value hotel in excellent location.

If you're looking for a good value base for exploring the old city on foot, this has to be hard to beat. I got a bright, modern-ish room with big windows, at the end of the corridor away from the stairs so I can't really comment on noise, facing onto a quiet side street. Everything worked, shower was good. A/C possibly a bit noisy and not hugely effective, i didn't really use it. Windowless basement breakfast room possibly less than inspiring but breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful, good fuel for a days exploring. Staff courteous if unsmiling, that doesn't bother me at all. The location just a couple of minutes walk from the tram stop is brilliant - the M1 tram is the most modern and useful route to get around the city, and the Istanbulkart system is world class and extremely good value.
Overall I would definitely recommend it, but I have very simple tastes and luxurious decor and frills don't interest me !

Great location for a tourist...

The staff was great, with a pick-up at the airport.

The location of the hotel to the tram and historical sites is excellent.

Our room on the backside of the hotel was smaller that those on the front side.

Buffet breakfast was good, but lacked variety from day to day.

Basic hotel

Inter hotel is a great place to stay if you are on a budget and want to be close to the main attractions. It is centrally located; literally steps from the Grand Bazaar. The hotel has all the basics (no toiletries) with a local flavor to it. I was travelling alone and found it odd to see that my room was supplied with only one bath towel and one small one, and enough coffee/tea for just one person. Breakfast is good. Staff is very helpful; their English is limited but they get you what you need. I had a room with windows facing the street. It can be noisy but it is not that bad. When you get out of the airport, you can take a taxi. Give the driver the hotel's address and phone number and you will get to your destination for around 40 Turkish liras (about 20 US dollars). I will stay here again on my next visit to Istanbul. Like I said, very basic but on the nice side.

Hotel staff excellent, Breakfast great. Took the trouble to make sure we had orange drink for my husband who is diabetic. Arranged tours for us. Let us leave luggage in room the day of our check out so we could sightsee and then placed the luggage in the lobby for us to load after we got a taxi to the cruise ship when we returned from our tour. .Stayed Oct 5 - Oct 7 2013

Nice hotel close to attractions

Hotel Inter is a nice hotel surrounded by Istanbul's historic sites and its modern shops. The rooms are clean, ours had a water view. The staff is helpful and very pleasant. They provided a fantastic breakfast and they held our bags after checkout so we could go sightseeing! Great place.

Basic hotel close to major sights

This hotel has very basic rooms with minimum comfort amenities but if you managed to make it to Istanbul, you definitely don't intend to spend time in your hotel. This one is located in close proximity to Grand Bazaar and the neighborhood reflects this. There are plenty of cheap clothing stores and warehouses on the same street. This itself is not a problem, but at the time I was staying there I found the place to be quite noisy. They kept loading the trucks with the merchandise well late into the the night, and if you prefer to keep your windows open and not to use the AC, this might be a problem. On the positive side, this hotel is walking distance to all the major sites in Istanbul. The staff is very helpful. and all the guys at the reception will go out and beyond to help you with whatever problems you might have.

Not worth the price !

Totally disappointed with this hotel. And my parents considered checking out after just one night. For the price I was paying per night, I expected a better hotel. But this hotel disappoints on all levels.
The rooms are reallly tiny. The bathroom even tinier. I had booked for a double room with an extra bed and there was hardly any place to move around.
Though not exactly dirty, it didn't feel too clean either.
The only plus side would be the good breakfast, free wifi & location.

Great value on a quiet street

A friend recommended Hotel Inter and I wasn't disappointed. If you stay there you need to bear in mind that it is a budget hotel. Having said that, it was on a very quiet street just about a block down from the tram line and within walking distance of all the Sultanahmet attractions. Latif, on the desk was very helpful and friendly. He arranged for us to take the hotel vehicle to the airport because we had an early start and didn't entirely trust the local taxis. This worked out very well. The breakfast buffet had absolutely everything you could imagine including freshly cooked fried eggs and a wonderful assortment of fresh fruit and pastries. The shower had high pressure and plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable. I would recommend Hotel Inter to friends visiting Istanbul.

Nice hotel in the clothing district

The hotel is close enough to the major tourist sights without being right in them, giving you a chance to see more of Istanbul. The rooms are clean and laid out well. The elevator is a little weird as it lets off between floors and does not reach the 6th floor (requiring walking up two flights of steps with your luggage). Breakfast was a tasty mix of turkish breakfast items.

Good choice for a 3-star hotel in Sultan ahmet tourist area esp for the budget conscious in expensive Istanbul. Staff were helpful esp Ugur who lent me his bus card (in Istanbul, need to get a bus card which you then top up for use on public buses)

Fantastic 3* Hotel, perfect location.

At first I was very reluctant towards this hotel, it is rated a 3* and naturally one worries whether it will be a big let down and whether it is clean. However what drew our attention to this hotel was the fact that it is located within a 3 minute walking distance to the tram station which gives access to all main sites and their are a range of stores around it.

The hotel itself:

We requested for the hotel to collect us from the airport and they were on time and very efficient. The driver along with his colleague are both Hotel Inter staff which was reassuring and meant that we saw them throughout our stay. We requested for the hotel to also take us back once we completed out trip.

The room was small in size and average in its decor, if you are going on a budget holiday and will spend most of your time outside then this is the hotel to pick. We requested twin beds but received a double bed and single bed, which was perfect. The room was very clean, everyday night we returned to find that our room and toilet were cleaned.

Breakfast was truly fantastic. For a 3* hotel they did so well with their breakfast buffet. Breakfast was served everyday between 07:00-10:30 am with a wide variety of fresh hot and cold options.

Staff at this total are very friendly. We always sought their guidance on where to go and how to get around Istanbul.

Location:

The location of this hotel is ideal for first time travellers to istanbul, the tram station is within a short walking distance.

Good value for the money. Tram is about a two minute walk, which is fine. Staff tries to be helpful but when asking for things like help getting tickets to a football match or to recommend an authentic Turkish restaurant, it can be challenging. It's good for folks n a budget but you'll need to do a lot of the local research for yourself.

Amazing hotel with great location and service

My family was treated friendly and with a lot of recpect. rooms are a bit small but comfortable enough because most travelers going to Istanbul to see places not to sit in room. bedding is crispy clean, excelent service. My room was on 6th floor and wi-fi was realy good. Hotel is 5 minutes from Grand bazar, 10 minutes from Aja Sophia and Blue mosque, 20 minutes from Galata bridge. Breakfast is good with several choices so everyone can find something for themselfs. Definately if I decide to go back I will stay there.

Overall Review of Hotel Inter Istanbul

It was one of the most creepiest hotel I have ever been to. We have been told by Hotel.com that our room would have an ocean view. This room has no view whatsoever rather an steel ladder hanging outside and the wall facing the window. Yes I did saw puddle of water due to rain. There was not enough light in the hotel. We have been checked-In in the dark. Some lights int he hallway have motion sensors. The guy asked for passport and told me to to go put your stuff and he will return the passport afterwards. I inisted that take all the necessary information and and return my passport and in response he said \"I am not going to eat your passport\". The elevator was not bigger than the size of a big fridge. It barely accommodates 4 people and no door from inside. The breakfast was as such that we decided to rather sleep than going for breakfast. At last my kids decided to leave early and spent the remaining time at the airport. At the end all the staff became very friendly and helpful.

Budget hotel in good location

The hotel was in an excellent location and was clean and spotless. The breakfast was always satisfactory. Service was ok but at times the staff were not particularly friendly. The room was small and basic (although the shower was excellent).
Overall I would recommend the hotel for friends on a budget who want to be in a good location>

Hotel Inter Instanbul is a hotel you might want to consider in staying during your trip to Istanbul. It is located close to Tram as well as Grand Bazar (walking distance). Rooms are large enough and clean. They have the most helful staff and breakfast is good.Thanks to the wonderful staff to make our trip enjoyable.

Good bargain in an expensive city, but no internet

Staff are friendly and helpful, but their router is very weak. Cannot even get through to the first floor. You have to go to the lobby to get good wifi reception. Their computer is really old and full of viruses. I do not recommend this for business.

Emplacement idéal

A deux pas du Grand Bazar, et du Tram T1 station Beyazit, nous avons visité Istanbul de part et d'autre a pied, en tram, en taxi, en bateau, , en bus, nous avons pris le funiculaire ainsi que le téléphérique, nous étions à 10 mn à pied des sites de Ste SOphie , Mosquée Bleue et Topkapi. Excellent emplacement à Istanbul. Nous recommandons vraiment cet hotel, de notre chambre 502, nous avons la vue sur la mer Marmara, juste un bémol, les doubles rideaux ne sont pas occultants alors ne pensez pas faire une grâce matinée, mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé plus que çà, nous nous levions a 8h et nous partions à 9h pour visiter. PS: petit déjeuner très complet. Nous sommes enchantés.

Leuk en net hotel dichtbij de bazaar!

Heel leuk en net hotel dicht bij meerdere bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand, zoals bazaar en sultan Ahmet. Heel vriendelijk en prettig personeel. Dit was de tweede keer dat we dit hotel kozen en dit gaan we altijd doen. Zeker een aanrader! We kregeb zelfs een gratid transfer naar het vliegveld. Normaal moet je via hun website geboekt hebben hiervoor. Een erg mooi gebaar! Voor mij geen ander hotel meer. Goedkoop en perfecte locatie!
