Fantastic stay from start to finish. The hotel was spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. The staff were welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection, and the location was ideal for getting around easily. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. My room number 233 was kept spotlessly clean and a surprise plate of fresh fruit was cling-wrapped and left for me a few times in my one week stay. Concierge was very helpful, carrying my bags to my room almost all the time. Onor (name misspelt but translates to Honor) was my favorite and honorable concierge. He got taxis for me and calculated the price ahead of time for me. He was the best! The food was amazing, I had daily breakfast like a king and was treated like a king. Will be back!

Perfect hotel with all the facilities and tram right in front . Grand bazar 10 min walk , blue mosque just 3 tram stops away or 20 min walk . Our stay was very comfortable and our room was upgraded as well . Breakfast buffet was wonderful.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to İstanbul! It is very safe, there are always 1 or 2 security guards stationed outside the hotel entrance. Before you enter, you have to go through a security check. It has a very chic look, with 5 floors and beautiful glass bridges and chandeliers. Staff are very respectful, and there is a restaurant on the ground floor and a spa on the third floor. The best room service is provided, they give extra amenities like shower caps and vanity kits. There is also a minibar that you can buy from. At nighttime, I called the front desk to ask to bring an extra pillow to my room , and within a minute, it arrived! There is a lot to do a few hundred meters within reach of the hotel, including the blue mosque.

We wanted to book this hotel for the area mainly, but also for the comfort of knowing its a Hilton. The staff were really welcoming and friendly, we also liked the cookie we received at the check in.
For the room, we think that the pillows were in quite poor condition, flat. Under the bed it was dusty. We expected better conditions and for next trip, we will most probably get back to booking 4 star hotels in Istanbul.

It isnl the third time I stay DoubleTree Old Town. It's conveniently located near the old town, walkable distance to Gran Bazaar, Aya Sofia etc. Tram T1 and Metro M2 are very close.

The staff were absolutely amazing. They even gave their istkart to my friend during the duration of the trip which was very much appreciated! The room was relatively clean, as were the linen and towels. Location was very good, right in front of the tram spot and walkable to the Sultanahmet area.
The rooms next to us were smoking which was coming through the vents - not nice at all. The beds creaked and the mattresses were poor, soft and sunk.

Nice hotel, very comfy beds. Tram stop right outside which was convenient, easy walk to Grand Bazaar. However, we struggled to get taxis and Ubers who were willing to take us to our hotel, I think because of the traffic in the old town they preferred to accept other jobs. Plenty of food options near by. Noisy area outside we stayed in 3 different rooms during multi stop trip some were noisier than others.

The Doubletree is the only American hotel I’ve ever stayed in Europe. While a big hotel, I found the staff unbelievably helpful and personable, whether asking about nearby ATMs, renewable transit cards, or encouraging my meagre Turkish! The fact that it is located directly across the street from the major tourist tram line made getting around Istanbul much easier.

This is not a 5* hotel. The location is great but in every other way this is a standard doubletree in the 3* region. Rooms are basic. The cleaner never seemed to refill anything. They were really stingy with free water. The staff were not nice. I lost my headphones and they were really unhelpful. They could only have gone missing in reception or in the luggage room and I don’t believe they looked properly for them. A pair of my jeans had fallen out of my bag whilst they had it in the luggage hold and they hadn’t noticed. The spa opens quite late making it basically unusable on a city visit. Honestly you can do better for how expensive this is.

We spent one night here after arriving from the US to catch up on rest before heading to our next destination. The drive to the hotel from the airport was not so bad. About 30 mins. Once arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the friendly staff and felt like they knew us forever. Very friendly staff and the hotel was clean and modern. Hotel also has a restaurant which was also very good. Many restaurants within walking distance. Would totally recommend this hotel.

I did not like you cannot have food in your room. I’m sure this is to make them more money. Their food for dinner is bunch of fried American things. Once you step in hotel feel gouged. Breakfast 25 euros. It is great. Coke in minibar 8.50 USA. Staff was nice but this hotel is for business travelers who want their Hilton rewards points. The hotel does not have a driveway. It’s hard to get into hotel. The streets around hotel are tore up. I arrived to a place a did not know how to get into hotel. Hotel is noisy for street construction I think that area. Would be noisy if there were no street construction.

Firstly let’s focus on the positives , the hotel is just opposite the tram stop unfortunately not the best end of town to stay with surrounding restaurants “ I use this term very sparingly are terrible “ and if you fancy drink in or around this area a apart from the hotel which charges €10 for a 33cl bottle of beer your stuck .
The area that the hotel is in is undergoing massive construction works laying new pavements and this work take place overnight outside the hotel on the first evening all night we had diggers and pneumatic drills ..as you can imagine we didn’t sleep !
The next day this was pointed out to the reception whom abruptly pointed out this noise has nothing to do with them after much debate they agreed to move the room to the back of the hotel thus reducing any noise .
My point is we lost 1 days holiday as we became so tired with this noise the hotel should show compassion and offer compensation .
My gripe lies with both Expedia and Hilton whom should have informed us of these works as not only the noise but when you left the hotel my wife who has an issue with her hip found it exceptionally challenging getting up the make shift steps into the hotel .

I think Hilton Hotels have the most comfortable beds! The room was quiet and the perfect temperature and we slept very well. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Only minor issue was being woken by the cleaning staff at 9am when we were having a lie-in. I would have liked the option to reuse our towels to minimise our environmental impact.

We had two rooms for my family during this trip. One of the room we checked and had very bad smell and next day when I reported they changed the room and in the new room next day at night we could not open the door and it took them almost an hour to fix it. Terrible hotel and will never recommend anyone.
